Synopsis: Dawn and Thomas work on her homework till buffy returns.
Cast of Characters: Dawn Summers, Thomas Raith, Buffy Summers

Dawn Summers has posed:
Evening at the Summer's home and Dawn is by herself on the couch, an open book in front of her on the coffee table, but the controller in her hand and the idle switching through channels is not exactly getting the homework done. The night is still young and she only has 2 pages of math homework to complete. There is time. Yes there is always time. "Seriously. All these channels and never anything worth watching. Still better then math."

Saved by the bell, and this time it is the doorbell. The young girl lazily pulls herself from the couch and shuffles her way across the floor to the door. "I'm coming. This so better be pizza." The door is opened and she offers a smile to who she sees on the other side. "Thomas. She's not back yet. Said she had to step out and do a few things. I have learned it is best to not question." She steps aside and motions to the room. "Please..come in. She should be back soon. You didn't by any chance bring pizza did you?"

She starts to make her way back to the couch, sauntering her way barefoot across the rug in a pair of pajama bottoms and a shirt that somewhat shows her stomach off. "So you two got a big date night planned?"

Thomas Raith has posed:
Thomas Raith grins a little bit, "Afraid not kiddo." He says with a sigh, wondering if he should go looking for her. Buffy could after all manage to commit a small amount of genocide on her way to the store to get milk. Still he decides to give her at least a little time first. He walks in and takes a seat on watever furnature Dawn is not occuping, "Not really a big date. Dinner at my place. Veg out with some screen." he says with a shrug.

Dawn Summers has posed:
There is a comfortable chair that matches the sofa for him to sit in and Dawen takes her place back on the couch, leaning against the arm to face him more directly. "Sounds good. She will love that, but I assume you already know that." She watches him a moment and seemingly is dissecting the man that her sister has chosen to spent a good amount of her free time with. "Not exactly how you saw your evening going huh?" She smiles a bit more shyly and then softly adds. "So...you really like my sister huh? I mean don't this this is some sort of interrogation, cuz it's not. I swear."

Thomas Raith has posed:
Thomas Raith smirks a little bit and shrugs a bit, "Interegate away." he offers with an amused smile, shrugging. "And yeah, I really do like her." He smirks a little bit, "She let me chase her and chase her till she finally caught me." He adds with a playful grin.

Dawn Summers has posed:
Dawn raises a brow and pulls her knees up, watching the man with a bemused smirk. "Wait. She let you chase her and chase her and then she caught you?" She blinks twice and murmurs. "I will never understand love. I am totally convinced." The thought is dismissed and she leans forward and takes up her math notebook and the pencil, perring across to him. "Alright. If you are going to be around my sister, there are a few questions I have for you. As her sister I am /very/ protective." She puts the tip of the pencil to the paper and begins, a small smle tugging at her lips. "We will start easy. Buffy as you know is quite the catch. What do /you/ nring to the relationship?"

Thomas Raith has posed:
Thomas Raith smirks a little bit at that, "A few things I suppose," He says amused. "Financial stability of course, as I own my own highly scuessful nightclub and am very comfortable as the expression goes. Social standing, The Blue Lady has been host to several rather famous people, not the least of which have been Oliver Queen, Bruce Wayne, Alex Valentine, as well as actors and other musicians.." He pauses considering, "Also Good looks on loan from God."

Dawn Summers has posed:
Another raised brow is given as she scribbles his repsonse down on the paper before her. "Night club...Bruce Wayne...good looks from God." She peers back up at him and nods once. "Well, money is good. You seem to be in a good social circle. And let's not deny it..you are quite handsome." A nod is given. "You passed that question. Now onto the next.

A hand raises to tuck a strand back behind her ear. "Alright Adonis. Let's say it's her birthday. What special evening have you planned for her?" Pencil goes to paper again and she smiles to him once more. "It better beat Chinese take-out and binge watching The Bachelor."

Thomas Raith has posed:
Thomas Raith grins a little bit, seeming to enjoy this game a bit. "Well I'm a bit of an amature chef myself, so no not take out. If I want Chinese I'll make it myself thank you very much. But for Buffy's birthday? Assuming is a romantic night in and she wouldn't rather spend it here with you and your mom? Lasangnia. wine. Soft music and candlelight... what happens after that is none of your business."

Dawn Summers has posed:
"What happens after that I don't want to know about." Her response is quickly given and it would appear she is leaving that part out. "Candlelight dinner. Wine. Music...and then home. Got it." She offers another small smile. "Oh I think we oculd split the time on her birthday. She would enjoy that with you for sure. Guess we have to handle the cake." She shrugs once again and watches him closely, eyes narrowed as she thinks of the next question. "So sometimes Buffy and I like to hang out together. I suppose I could include you during those times. Would you do the same from time to time? Include me...let's say in a dinner plan or shopping trip?" She widens her eyes and giggles slightly. "Hey...aint all about her you know."

Thomas Raith has posed:
Thomas Raith laughs a little bit at the question but shrugs, "I'm not looking to be the only factor in her life. I wouldn't want you there on /every/ date, every outing, probibly not even half of them, but at the same token I'm not aienst including you in somethings as well. For instance I was thinking of trying to orginize a bit of a board game night, that would deffinatly be something I'd want to invite you to. As for shopping, who else am I going to turn to to but her a surprise gift?"

Dawn Summers has posed:
"Good answer. I accept that. You are doing well." She titls herhead to the side and stares a moment."I get it, nobody wants the tag-a-long kid sister all the time. I get it. I was just seeing your thoughts on it is all. Believe me Mr. Raith, I don't want to be around most of what I think is happening." She taps the pencil against her chin. "Okay only one or two more questions if that is okay. Let me see." The pencil is raised in the air as she inquires. "You find out..let's say I did something...wrong. Yeah that's the word. But this thing is not hurting anyone, including myself. Do you tell her?"

Thomas Raith has posed:
Thomas Raith considers slightly, "I'm not sure, it would be mostly circumstancial I suppose. It's surprisingly very hard to do something /wrong/ Dawn without hurting /anybody/. It's sort of the definition of doing something wrong after all that someone will be, or could potentially be, hurt. If I felt however that the situation would be best remidied b my silence? Maybe. But I won't lie to her. Not for you, not for anybody."

Dawn Summers has posed:
There is a small pause when he answers and she wrties down his reply on the paper. "You know, not the answer I was looking for intitially, but your explaination convinced me otherwise. You are doing very well Mr. Raith, I am finding it hard to fault you." She clearly is playing this up in her cute Daen little way. "Alright. Last question. I promise."

She moves to kneel on the couch now, making it seem as if this one matters the most. "New Britney or old Britney?"

Thomas Raith has posed:
Thomas Raith blinks slightly at the question, brows furowing as if in thought. "Who is Britney?" he asks in a totally baffled voice.

Dawn Summers has posed:
There is a small of of shock on her face and she shakes her head slowly. "Spears. Britney SPears. Oops I did it again? Oh please tell me you have heard of her." Sheplaces a hand on he heart and mockingly fakes pain. "Just say old Brittney and you pass. But I am so going to make you listen sometime." She sets the paper and pencil down and leans over, hand extended. "Congratulations. You have my blessing. And yes, you did need it." She winks

Thomas Raith has posed:
Thomas Raith looks confused for a second and then says "Oh, right the Make my boobies one more size girl." He says with an amused chuckle. "I vaguely remember listening to that when I was younger... It wasn't really my thing back then." he admits slightly amused. "Well I am happy to have your blessing at least. I'll let you borrow my Lordi Cd some time if you want... Honest Monster Rock by honest monsters.

Dawn Summers has posed:
Did he just say boobies? The young girl shakes her head and plops back onto the couch. "I look forward to it. I think she just pulled in. Go to her Mr. Raith. Go to her." She sticks her tongue out teasingly and rolls her eyes. "Somebody save me from this math homework."

Thomas Raith has posed:
Thomas Raith heads to the door and finds the poor pizza boy rather then Buffy He smirks a little bit and shakes his head, wondering if this isn't Dawn's trick to get him to pay for her pizza. It works. He gives the driver a $20, tells him to keep the change and walks back to the living room. "Tell me there are no fish or fruit on this.."

Dawn Summers has posed:
"Oh was that the pizza guy. I forgot I ordered that." It is quite clear she did it from her phone just after Thomas arrived. "Well, now that it's here." SHe props herself up on the couch and smiles over to him. "Thanks for dinner. I was afraid it was going to be Cheerios again. This is so much better." She flips the lid open and sure enough there is no fruit or any fish of any kind. "Not at all. What do you think I am..a savage?" A slice is taken and she gestures to it. "Help yourself..." WHo cares if it technically is his. "I'm sorry she went ahead and ruined your night. Last thing you wanted to do was hang out with your girl friends sister."

Thomas Raith has posed:
Thomas Raith shrugs a little bit, "My own sister is in collage. I kinda miss hanging out with her." he says with a grin. "Actully the last time we hung out we had pizza, I helped her with her homework and she was wearing a pair of eeyore footie pajamas." he muses as he takes a slice of the pie and grins slightly, "So what areyou stuck on?

Buffy Summers has posed:
Buffy Summers is running quite late and it'd be pretty inconsiderate of her to stand him up for no reason..It's a few minutes before his phone starts to beep and it looks like she sent a frantic text message: "Sry running l8te, ran into vamps :E, don't eat all the pizza, BBS!"

Dawn Summers has posed:
They are not Eeyore footie jammies, but pajama pants and a half shirt is her chill out outfit of choice. "Well, it's math." She slides the page over to him and it is pretyt much coveredin various doodles of procrastination. "I mean I think I get it." She moves over to the other end of the couch and bitesd her lower lip. "Solve for X with a Y intercept...blah blah. "

Thomas Raith has posed:
Thomas Raith takes the paper, turns it sideways, makes a face of mild bafflement and asks "when did they start putting letters in it?" he asks, then grinning "I joke, I kid." He looks it oer slightly getting the old nurons firing again for the problems. "So what's dragging you down?" he asks amused when hi phone chimes at him. H looks at it and smirks back. "Well I'm sitting all unsupervised with a beautiful young brunette, so you better hurry. :-P" he texts back... adding "Also Teenaged girl + (pizza emoji) how much you willing to risk here?"

Buffy Summers has posed:
"Behave yourself, LOL, starving. CU soon..<3 <3<3" says Buffy's text. she must be texting and fighting.

Dawn Summers has posed:
Dawn stares at the paper slightly puzzled. "I mean is this right? " SHe scribbles down some formula and does come up with an answer." It is then that her phone chimes at her as well, peering down at it she sees it is Riven. She hides it ever so slightly and quickly types a reply. "Don't worry, I will be there. I'll figure it out." The phone is tossed aside and she smiles back to Buffy's boy toy, looking at another problem. "Oh wait...now it is starting to make some sense. If X...is...then the y-intercept is 3." She side glances to him. "I obviously got the brains in the family."

Thomas Raith has posed:
Thomas Raith grins a little bit and nods, "It's four, you forgot to transverse the iniger." he says with a smirk and pops her lightly on the head with the eraser of the pecil. "And she was smart enough to snag me up, what else does she need?'

Dawn Summers has posed:
"Four? Tranverse the integer. Maybe I can just get by on my looks." Nevertheless she looks at it and realizes her mistake. "Ah tranverse the integer. Whatever the hell that means. I am going to take this little number here and move it under this squiggly line here. Subtract and look. 4. I win." She smiles sweetly and sighs, rolling her eyes once more. "Yes yes, smart enough to snag you up. You're such a handsome boy." SHe reaches out and tossels his hair, moving to grab a bite of pizza. "You know..for a Pretty Boy you are alright Mr. Raith."

Thomas Raith has posed:
Thomas Raith smirks a little bit, "For a pretty boy? I'm amazing." he says with no small amount of ego, taking another bite of pizza and smirking, "Alright walk me through this next one." He directs, using the task to not think about Buffy out there alone.
