Mercy Thompson has posed:
It's just before dusk in Central park, new York and the lights are on. The lawn's rusted by a breeze. The usual park activities are going on, as Mercy, all four pawed and furred form is slinking through the grass, collar on. Mercy's four pawed and sort of free. Okay, fine, she is obeying the city ordinances on dogs and collars, but....small details.

So claws click on asphalt as Mercy is roaming around. She's not really a house pet. Just acting like one. In reality? She's a coyote and oh yes. She knows what she's up to alright. She's got that look....and strolls around lazily, that languid, lazy stroll this afternoon/evening. Brindle brown fur against the setting sun, indeed. There's a yip and she's off chasing a tennis ball.

Detective Chimp has posed:
Detective Chimp comes walking along, he looks around as if looking for someone. He will walk along come to a trash can climb up it and look around, and sighs, he walks along to a tree sniffing it a moment.

Petra Emreis has posed:
A long day...or that start of her night. It depended who you asked or how you viewed it, but Petra was out in the park tonight. She wasn't dressed to 'hunt', instead the black jeans and simple white blouse made her look pretty much like any other would-be visitor to the park making a late trek home! Tucked under her arm, a leather-bound volume of some book rests, cradled comfortably as she hums a tune softly to herself.
Then she's left looking towards the Mercy-Coyote and...well, Detective Chimp wasn't something one saw every day.

Mercy Thompson has posed:
Take that, tennis ball! Mercy's chewed on it and she's carrying it with her. Spying both of them, Mercy flicks an ear and peers at Petra then the chimp. The tennis ball drops to the ground with a thud, and....Mercy doesn't go for it. Instead, she lets out a yip at Petra and Chimp, watching them both with a curious little swish of her tail and a tilt of her head. Padding a few steps closer, she pauses as if studying both. Chimp, and...human? Huh, she'd expect humans in the park, sure. But chimps? Well then

Detective Chimp has posed:
Detective Chimp looks over and says "Well, I am a chimpanzee, and she is a human, pretty sure you have seen her type before, mine more likely behind bars at the zoo but it is possible. By any chance have you seen a large white canine about yea high, named Rex?"

Petra Emreis has posed:
A talking chimp now too? Petra had heard a few strange things in her time, rumors of this even, but seeing it in person was...different. "Huh." The soft word comes from her lips in not-so-elequent responce before she's left to shake her head. He was talking to the Coyote too, that was something else even for the Sorceress who's left to shake her head. "This really is one of the strangest cities I've ever seen."

Mercy Thompson has posed:
Mercy paws at the ground for a moment, watching Chimp then Petra again. Shaking her head it's like she can understand. Not bad for a coyote shapeshifter really, as she seems to listen, shaking her head at the behind bars comment. Like she's, what, arguing with the chimp? Or at the least, disagreeing with said chimp. She glances over and watches them both, then lopes forward to see about sniffing their scents. Mercy's not really hiding she's magic. It's more that she's staying on four paws for the moment. At least, until she can sprint back to her shop and change, mind.

Detective Chimp has posed:
Detective Chimp shakes his head a bit and says "Aint been behind bars in a while, well except for a few missunderstandings with the law now and again. I am Detective Chimp, and a friend asked me to meet him here soon, but did not give me a date on when. " He looks over and to Petra he smiles "Not been out to Gotham much I take it?"

Petra Emreis has posed:
To Petra, the magical nature might as well be a strong 'scent' in itself, perhaps that was why she wasn't reacting with confusion to the apparent comprehension of Mercy to the chimp and her own words. Alright then. Back to the Chimp, the witch shrugs her shoulders lightly. "Sounds rather vague...but right now I think we're the only ones out here."

Mercy Thompson has posed:
Mercy's not nrmal. Nor...is the sprint from the park at 60 miles an hour. She's a blur and comes back, a few moments later, on two legs, jogging in. Very much human. Very much dressed for work. "Oh hey" she callsover, waving to the witch and chimp. "What's up?"

Simple enough question. No mention of the coyote fleeing at freeway speeds

Detective Chimp has posed:
Detective Chimp watches the coyote zoom off "Ok thats unusual." He looks over to Petra, and says "I'm Detective Chimp by the way, and as I said looking for a friend of mine.

Petra Emreis has posed:
Petra's gaze just blinks, watching Mercy's departure at speed with a sudden little exclaimation of suprise...only for her to arrival a moment later. Human, different, but still very much 'feeling' the same. "Petra," she offers in introduction to the Chimp before looking back to Mercy. "So are you supposed to be some sort of spirit or shape sh-" the white-haired woman begins to speak...then there's a flare of light and she's simply gone.

The problem with summoning spells? They don't always work at the most convenient of times!

Mercy Thompson has posed:
Mercy looks over to the chimp and cants her head. "So you're meeting somebody....and there she goes" she admits watching Petra vanish. "Points for style, too" Mercy shrugs. "So, I'm Mercy. Who is this friend you're supposed to be meeting?" she asks and flops down on the grass.

Detective Chimp has posed:
Detective Chimp looks over and says "Rex, the wonderdog, and you did not have to run off and change."

Detective Chimp has posed:
Detective Chimp says, "He is a large white talking dog, pretty sure if you had met him you would remember him."

Mercy Thompson has posed:
Mercy shrugs, "Nope. Large white dog? Lasssie?"she asks. "You checked any wells lately for that one?" she asks and looks amused at her joke. "Seriosly though, not seen him. Tried a dog whistle?"

Oh, 'yote got jokes...as she shakes her head and sighs. "You think Animal Control got to this dog?" Mercy asks. "I'm just thinking out loud here, really" she says and sighs, proppping herself up on her elbows.

Detective Chimp has posed:
Detective Chimp shakes his head and says "Na, Rex is smarter than most animal control, and when he said something think he would get away from them easier.
