Iron Man has posed:
"Sneak peek, private access of a preview of the news? No?" Tony's teasing Thor as they arrive at the sanctum sanctorum. The big doors opened with the usual rush of air, as if unsealing the bottle on some ancient spell components, and Tony aims his gaze inside with intent curiosity. Sometimes the interior is different or rearranged. It's not a trait specific to magic: Tony's similar with his lab spaces. Both magic and tech can often end up with the same general results: various things flying around or moved. Still, the grandeur of the Sanctum can impress even the billionaire on first arrival.

Tony will suppress that soon enough, and wander inside, hands resting in his sleek athletic jacket pockets. "As if I'd be a spoiler." Tony might, though, spoil whatever news Thor has.

Thor has posed:
Thor shakes his head, "No, this is big indeed. I shall require Strange's aid for this." And then, the door opens for him, as it does. Amazing how the wizard always seems to know when he's dropping by for a visit. Then again, perhaps that just should not surprise him anymore. Magic does it what it does, and Strange is much better at it than his brother ever was.

"Strange, are you about?" Evidently, no spoilers to be given quite yet!

Doctor Strange has posed:
The Sorcerer Supreme's "manservant" arrives at the front entryway of the Sanctum Sanctorum, and with a wave of his hand, opens the door. Bowing respectfully towards Thor and Tony Stark as they enter, Wong responds to Thor's query. "Doctor Strange will be down momentarily. He is dealing with several things that will only require his attention for a few moments."

Wong stands up straight. "May I bring you refreshments God of Thunder and Man of Iron?"

After a moment or two, walking down the stairs directly in front of the doorway and the Avengers themselves, was Doctor Strange. He adjusts his gloves casually, as though nothing had just happened. "Gentlemen. It is good to see you again. What brings you to my humble abode at this time of day? Not another catastrophe is it?"

With a look, Strange dismisses Wong. Wong bows again, and heads towards the pantry and kitchen, to prepare refreshments for their guests.

Thor has posed:
Thor says, "No, not a catastrophe. I merely seek to revive my Father. As he did not fall in battle with Fenrir, and the Ragnarok cycle was not started as a result, he was basically taken at a time that was not meant to occur. Alterations to the Ragnarok cycle tend not to end well...and there's only so long I can remain as King before I have to go to Mimir's Well and accept that role for good."

So, from there, "I believe we should visit the Norns first...they know how to replace threads that have become...misplaced."

Doctor Strange has posed:
"Well, that is an interesting conunndrum that I must admit I never saw coming. Revive All Father Odin..." Strange steps down off the last stair, and walks three steps from Stark and Thor. His expression was already contemplating how they could ever pull that off, even with the acient mystical "fate" markers that permeated the interwoven threads of Asgardian mythology.

"The Norns are not a...reliable source for information, and Mimir was a former God wasn't he? So, there are always permutations to whatever they tell you. As for Ragnarok...well. It never turns out as expected."

Strange nods as Wong brings tea for the Doctor, something for Tony that smelled divine, and of course, a large mug of beer for the Asgardian. Taking a sip, and grabbing one of the frosted cakes that Wong held on a tray in his other hand, Strange waits as everyone settles.

"What are you asking of me then, Avengers? To go with you to speak to the Norns? I am unsure if anything I can say can get them to reveal your next steps, Thor."

Thor has posed:
"I think I can get the Norns to speak...but the Norns like riddles, and they're very cryptic. I was hoping you may be able to interpret what the Norns tell me." Thor is not god of clever. That's his brother. Nor is he the magic guy. That's also his brother. And his brother...has been scarce lately, even if he did want him to come.

Thor is still the King of Asgard, for now, and so the Norns at least have to consider speaking to him.

Doctor Strange has posed:
Munching on the cake, Strange listens to what Thor has to say, and when he finishes, takes a sip of tea to wash the cake down. "I see. I also suspect you want me to interpret what they say because you have other allies, who are as gifted in the mystic arts, that you cannot trust. I can appreciate that, truly."

Strange looks over at Stark, who had been quiet to this point. Then back to Thor. "They hide riddles within riddles, esoteric truths within half-truths. They are not trustworthy, but can be accurate when they want to be. I can try at least."

Strange frowns. Which was a deeper frown than the one he had had for the last 15 minutes as they discussed a trip to visit the Norns. "I will, of course, help you Thor, and help the Avengers as well, with whatever they need. It is always good to have a surgeon on staff." Was that a hint of a smile?

Iron Man has posed:
"Riddles. Cute," Tony observes, from behind the cake that he took off of the tray. "Just get all the big brains in one room after you get the news, crack the code, raise the dead?" Tony picks off each of the items on his fingers as he describes it, then promptly has a moutful of cake.

Listening to Tony, it's super simple. No problem. Confidence abounds! "Where are these Norns, exactly? Do we have to enter a dream-state or another reality?"

Thor has posed:
"We can just take the bridge there. They stay near the Well of Uror, mixing its waters with sand that they pour over Yggdrasil to keep the tree healthy. The wards here are fairly strong...we should probably step outside for the bridge."

With that idea in mind, Thor heads back outside so he can call the bridge without getting it caught in the most powerful wards on Midgard. Needless complication, that.

Doctor Strange has posed:
Strange nods. "Ah yes, the Bridge. Bifrost. I must admit, I have been wanting to try that. It must take a massive amount of mystical energy to do that. " Strange finishes his tea, and hands the empty cup back to Wong, who bows.

"Very well. Count me in to help."

Iron Man has posed:
Tony was looking at his cake. He blinks, looking up, then towards the door. "Wait. Right /now/? This is really urgent?" He hadn't quite seen the level or importance to do it right away. "I'd like an armor detour. For ... reasons," Tony requests with a splash of a grin.

"I've learned never to take long trips without it. As /fun/ as my last vacation on a forest planet of hell really was."

Thor has posed:
Thor was about to call the bridge right then and there, and, "Ah, right. I had not considered there may be dangers about Yggdrasil. There are many things moving up and down its branches that, well, try to kill everyone." Still, with the bridge, he can get by most of them. Usually.
