Cast of Characters: Zorro, Rave, Black Canary

Zorro has posed:
Zorro had beem tracking the activites for Hector Dawes for weeks. Hector Dawes, while not on the levels of Wolfram and Hart, was a well-known and respected lawyer in the area. However, Dawes had a brutal reputation in the Underworld as one of the most coruppt lawyers in the city, who is willing to do anything to win a case or get what he wants. This is what drew Zorro to him, and made Zorro swear to expose his corupption and topple him.

Recently, a crooked fight promoter by the name of David Sykes was being sued in a class-action lawsuit by his former fighters due to allegations of garnishing fight takings. Rumor in the Underworld stated that Dawes was seeking to eliminate one of the key witnesses, a champion fighter named Hank who was prone to fighting and drinking. This is how Zorro found himself late at night, perched on top of a seedy bar waiting for Hnak to come out of it, unaware that he was about to have company.

Rave has posed:
Rave didn't exactly have a massive amount of intelligence and information. Her contacts? They were mostly stories from clubbers, social media rumors and drunks oversharing here and there. More often than not, she 'lucked' into coming across crime by virtue of her speed rather than knowing what was out there.

Today however, it was a little different; the mentions of a 'squashed rat' had ment enough to the blunette speedster that she'd done a little asking around. Glowing neon streaked through the streets, tracing its way up the side of a building before slowing enough that the form of the young woman came into view, her motion carrying her up and over till she found herself touching down down the street from the bar.

She didn't have a 'hero' costume. The skirt, the hotpants beneath and her crop top were all stuff she'd worn in the nightclubs...but it did offer an option that Zorro didn't quite have: Adjusting her hair, she was headed straight into the bar.

Zorro has posed:
As you walked into the bar, the smells of liquor and cigarette smoke filled the air as the sounds of chatting assaulted your ears. Right in the center of the bar you see a massive, muscular man wearing a tank-top and blue jeans. Yep, this was obviously Hank, and he seemed to be in a drinking frenzy. Suddenly, he staggers up from the bar and starts to make his way towards the exit.

As Hector watched the bar, he would see two black sedans pull up to the curb. A group of men wearing suits suddenly climb out of the sedans, and were waiting for someone. Zorro's eyes narrowed as he began to climb down the building. Things were about to get ugly.

Rave has posed:
Well, at least she wasn't going to have to be in here long. Making a face at the scent of the bar, her gaze flicks towards the drunken mountain that is Hank. He was leaving? She didn't even bother to order a drink.

Hands folded behind her back and uncaring to whatever looks she might get, Rave was a few steps behind in a lazy pace in that moment as the sedans appear.

Zorro has posed:
As Zorro steathily made his way to the bar, Hank stumbled out into the warm night, only to be greeted by a tall, thin Caucasian man with a bowl cut and wearing a brown suit. The man grinned as he said,

"Yo dumbass. You want a piece of me, come get me!"

Hank let out a bellow of rage and charged towards the man, who ran towards the two sedans. Anyone with a sense of strategy could sense what was about to happen next. Suddenly, the rest of the suited men emerge from the shadows as the bowl-cut man is eventually caught by Hank, who grabs his roughty by the shirt collar. Before Hank can through a punch, he is whacked in the back with a baseball bat by a second suited man with a goatee wearing a green suit. As Hank falls to the ground, the suited men start crowding around Hank and start to beat him down with both fists and melee weapons.

Rave has posed:
Well...obviously mooks don't tend to be subtle anymore. Punches, bats and thugs whaling on the drunken man on the ground? That's gonna get dangerous real quick!
The flash of blue light flares from inside the doorway, but it wasn't Rave racing out to start trading punches with the ambushers in suits; instead a concussive bolt of energy 'explodes' between them, intended to shove them back while she steps through. Glowing eyes, glowing hair, Rave looked like some sort of Neon angel as she moves towards the thugs. "You guys must be the worst Uber in the damn city."

Well...she thought she was funny.

Zorro has posed:
The blast actually does it job and scatters the suited men. The men stare at you in unison, not doing anything at first. Suddenly, one of them pulls out a pistol and was about to fire, only to suddenly scream in pain as a dagger buries itself into his shoulder. The source, was, of course, Zorro, who glares at the men and says,

"Villains, drop the man and give yourselves up!"

Suddenly, another man pulls out a Uzi and starts to fire at Zorro while another one with a lead pipe charges at Rave. While this is happeneing, two of the men start to drag Hank towards one of the sedans.

Black Canary has posed:
The very moment the gunfire starts... there is suddenly something new. A blonde woman wearing a domino mask, some kind of leotard-like garment, and fishnet stockings appearing out of nowhere, and opens her mouth. And then she screams. Not just a normal scream. This scream tears across the battlefield with a loud SKRRREEEEEEEEEEEE that literally bowls over both the Uzi-wielder and the pipe-wielder and probably shattering the windshield of the sedan - it even knocked the bullets off course as she springs into action. She is unarmed, in a battle stance. From the appearance and the sound, there can be little doubt that Black Canary of the Justice League is here. She points at the unconscious man. "Drop him. And run. Or else." She waits to see what the bad guys would do.

Rave has posed:
A new arrival, Oh hey! She knew that guy! Zorro's entrance actually gets a grin before the glowing girl turns back to the thugs who don't seem to want to let up. Already she's taking a breath, the bright 'bluenette' ready to zip forward when that window-shattering scream has even Rave looking startled and covering her ears.

Yep, Dinah was going to get a look, glowing eyes flicking over her for a moment.

"Awesome."

Oop, a pipe coming at her head! Rave turns her head at the last moment as the impact-...misses, a 'whiff' through the air as she's suddenly behind the guy. "Rude!" comes the call before she kicks out to try and drive her heel into his back. She's no master martial artist, but speed kinda helped a lot!

Zorro has posed:
The man with the Uzi gets toppled over as the man with the pipe gets knocked out by Rave's attack. Zorro is amazed by Canary entrance, but suddenly snaps out of it and charges into the fight, driving his rapier into another goons shoulder.

The men dragging Hank look at Canary with shock, and a bit of horror. Dawes said this would be a simple job! Suddenly, another suited goon, this one with a crowbar lets out a savage yell and charges at Canary while another one reaches into the sedan with a smashed windshiled and pulls out a shotgun, which he fires at Rave. Meanwhile, the two men dragging Hank are joine by a third, even larger goon wearing a white suit, who begins to help the two drag Hank away again towards the undamaged sedan

Black Canary has posed:
Dinah Drake charges towards Hank as she runs - stopping for a moment to punch out the throat of the one with the crowbar - she easily saw his telegraphed swing, dodged, and dealt with it. She watches the ones dragging the guy towards the sedan - gets behind themm, and Canary Cries it till it is flung onton its roof and smashes as she smiles, looking at the three with the guy. "Three on one? I don't think you guys are good enough." She smirks as she points at the big guy. "Weakling."

Rave has posed:
A shotgun was a little harder to dodge, what with being a cloud of pellets and all. Besides, there was a populated bar behind her! Giving a little grunt of effort, there was another bright flash and loud bang as the shotgun pellets collide with her 'hardlight' shield burst. Hopefully it was startling enough, because a rush of neon later and the girl dressed like she was out for a night of clubbing was suddenly looking at a pair of boots leeping towards his face.

Zorro has posed:
The large man growled in anger and suddenly charged at Canary, swinging his beefy fists at Canary. As Rave plowed into the man with the shotgun, the man wit the uzi suddenly got back up and aimed his uzi at Canary, only to be punched out by Zorro. The final two goons, the two with the large man take one look at what happened to their allies, and try to flee.

Black Canary has posed:
Dinah Drake grins as she easily dodges the rage-filled swings as she keeps the big guy busy. She decides to drive him crazy by making him continually miss. She then decides to finish it by kicking behind his legs and making him crash to the ground, then simply punches him in the temple to knock him out. She then rises up. "So - what is all this about?" she asks as she brushes herself off. "That was a brisk workout - but once you get the guns out, I decided to act."

Rave has posed:
The running men? Rave could literally stop them in the space between heartbeats...but she lets them go. Better they run back to their boss, it means that when the other thugs are questioned a trail leads right back to him. Instead the glow around her fades to a more standard luminescent around her hair and eyes as she looks to the man in black and the blonde in fishnets, a grin on her painted lips. "Well, these guys were unlucky as hell."

The grin is short-lived however as she bends down to the beaten Hank, frowning a little bit. She had speed, but no super-strength. "We should probably call him an ambulance too."

Zorro has posed:
Zorro snickers a bit and Rave's comment and says, "Indeed senorita." He then turns to Canary and says," These men were hired by one Hector Dawes. He is a lawyer around here. I know he is coruppt and i beleive that he hired these men to eliminate this man. He was supposed to be a witness in a lawsuit involving garnished wages. Let's hope this incident leads to Dawes arrest."

Suddenly, Zorro walks over to one of the fallen goons and marks his shirt with a big Z with his sword. He then turns and polietly bows to Canary while saying," By the way, the name's Zorro."

Black Canary has posed:
Dinah Drake nods. "Black Canary," she states soflty as she looks around. She then gets an old-style flip phone and is about to dial for help when she watches the Z motif. "Zorro - like those old movies?" she asks, eyebrow raised. "An interesting choice for a hero costume. Pretty good with the sword too." She nods in satisfaction. "I've practiced many marital weapons - but I think best ones ever conceived are literally a part of me." She then dials for emergency service.

Rave has posed:
The shirt carving? That earns a blink, but Rave couldn't quite go repeating such a trick with her lasers...that'd be vandalism at best, and branding at worst. Instead, she's left to look towards Dinah as introductions are given. Hey! Finally she knew Zorro's name properly! "Rave," she offers, bringing her fingers together then apart to leave a faint glowing neon 'heart' in the air for a moment. Obviously the girl was a Metahuman or a mutant, and she wasn't really subtle about it.

Dinah's comment however, that earns a laugh. "And the whole 'Metal scream' thing?"

Zorro has posed:
Zorro does not make a comment upon hearing the movie comparison. His ancestor's life was very exciting no doubt, and he had inspired a lot of movies. Instead, he nods and says to Canary," Thanl you. I trained a long time to be good a swordsmanship. May i say your martial arts is some of the best I have ever seen."

Black Canary has posed:
Dinah Drake smiles. "That's the Canary Cry," she states. "It's my metahuman ability. Everything else I do I got the old-fashioned away - with a lot of grit, determination, and way, way, WAY too much time doing physical training." She then shrugs. "This is probably beneath the Justice League's jurisdiction, but I'll file a report nonetheless."

Rave has posed:
"Justice League?" A beat, a grin, "Oh, you'd know the Flash! Tell him I say Hi next time you see him!" Ambulance on the way, good deed done and thugs down? The blue-haired girl turns back towards Zorro. She cculdn't swap stories and comments about Martial arts. Instead she's left to give the man a lazy wave.

"Thanks for the help, that cape is awesome!"

With that and a streak of blue glowing light, the speedster was on her way!

Zorro has posed:
Zorro nods at the two and flees from the area as police sirens fill the air. The only glance of Zorro one would see in the inky blackness was his cape as it disappaered into the night.
