Cast of Characters: Timber Wolf, Cosmic Boy, Mon-El

Timber Wolf has posed:
The bridge is one area T-Wolf is rarely in. Not that he's not allowed here, it's more if he gets overexcited or angry, he may just slash things. But today he's on his best behavior...

Which means he's strolling in, whistling a tune and looks like he just woke up. Which to be fair, he did about an hour ago. One long walk of the ship after being dressed and ready to go later, and one check of the duty roster has him here.

The bridge door closes as Timber Wolf steps fully onto the bridge and just takes it all in with a smile. "See. See" he says excitedly. "Gotta keep my claws in check. Gotta keep my hands in my pockets. Don't wanna cut anyone if I start pointingg at stuff" he says and looks around the bridge as if deciding what to check on first. Truth be told, he's meant to keep an eye on the bridge. Which explains why he's dressed in his usual gear with an appreciative look in his eye.

Truth be told. he's just glad he's got his new family and 'pack' of sorts all in one ship. It's easier this way. One communication n to the rest of the ship later, and T-Wolf is sat down, hands in his lap not touching anything.

Cosmic Boy has posed:
Cosmic Boy, aka Rokk Krinn, walks onto the bridge and stops in his tracks. Holding a data padd in his right hand, he was going over several of the fuel consumption figures and other random details that Brainy had been handing him, seemingly on an hourly basis.

"Brin? Is that you? I wouldn't have expected to see you on the bridge. I was just wandering in to make sure the shift was monitored, and here you are. I am glad you are being responsible, and pulling your shift. Thank you. That means a lot to the team."

With a smile, Rokk lets the arm holding the padd drop down, and takes a few steps closer to finally lean against a console not currently on. "So, what have you been up to? Haven't seen you for a bit."

Mon-El has posed:
Lar had been on the bridge when Brin arrived, scouring sensor array scans for any evidence of Brainiac's whereabouts. He had been searching fruitlessly for a while now, and quite frankly, is beginning to think that perhaps Querl -really- doesn't want to be found, and he should give up the search. It wasn't something he wanted to accept...but...

He sighs, running a hand through his hair, but is jerked out of his reverie when Brin starts talking to himself, and Rokk starts talking to Brin. Mon-El forces an amicable smile toward Timber Wolf. "Well you wouldn't have worry about cutting me, at least." he remarks, in an attempt at some kind of humor, then nods at Rokk. "Cos. Good to see you, too."

Timber Wolf has posed:
Brin. Responsible. Did ROk just use those words together? That's a new one. But yes, Brin is actually responsible. "So I sit here and watch you do things" he calls to Lar, with h a light, easy tone and then it turns serious when he addresses Rok.

"Where've I been? On Earth trying to find anything useful. I've also been helping out around here but keeping to myself on shift" he offers with a look that's somewhere between daring them to try arguing with him, and regretting being alone on shift. Though when he's been alone as long as Brin...

He looks over from Rok to Lar. "If I can help justt point me where to go" he offers. Oh sure he's on shift. But.

He can help out no matter if he's on shift or not. "So what've you both been up to while I've been up to my neck in things?" he asks them both.

Cosmic Boy has posed:
Looking over towards Mon El, Rokk smiles, and says, "Lar! Good to see you! Last time I saw you was from a windshield with Imra." Rokk chuckles, letting Lar know he had no hard feelings, although he did wince a bit at the pain left over from that battle. "Remind me not to get you mad at me again anytime soon."

The whole thing with Brainiac was troubling, that was for sure. At least he still had about two weeks of data to sort through that he had been handed, the last time Brainy wanted some decisions made. Mon El could be the leader, but someone had to be the administrator.

"Well Brin. Good to have you home. What have I been up to..." Rokk says, with a smile. "There are several others of us out there, trapped by Glorith and the Trapper's machinations." Did he just use that word. "We'll find them. I was, until recently one of them. Thought I was a Priest of Rao, trying to rescue Superman from Death herself." Yeah yeah, that was a lot.

Mon-El has posed:
Lar tries to smile at Rokk's jab, knowing he was just trying to lift spirits too, unfortunately it doesn't really make him feel any better. "Yeah well that's probably pretty good advice for most other people in this galaxy. Except Superman or...uh, Kara."

"Earth, huh?" he questions Brin. "So did you find anything useful?" he asks, trying to distract from the subject of his past failures. Well, what he views as his past failures.

Timber Wolf has posed:
Brin. Responsible?

Those words don't usually work. Brin. Loner, more to the point. But still, he lifts his head at Lar's question. "Nothing" he sighs. Time to join the failures club. He couldn't find hide nor hair of Brainy. "Didn't find anything." he says simply, almost dejectedly. "I even did what dogs do. Snifffing my nose to the ground in case I missed anything...

Looking from Rok to Lar, Brin shrugs. "They got food down there mind. Lots of good food. I feel like bringing it back at times. Though I'm glad we're all in one place" he offers with a genuine light in his eyes. He gets up and leans on the wall, watching them both. "You need me to do anything, just ask. Guard duty is boring. I brought my datapad but I don't feel like figuring things out. You know down there, they got datapads devoted to sily things like two dimensional videos on a screen?" he asks.

Yes. It's sarcasm. It's a lot of sarcasm.

Cosmic Boy has posed:
Yeah, Rokk wasn't known as a "comedian". That was more Tenzil's job as the "morale officer". He did try though, but he also noted Mon's expression. It was a lot to take on his shoulders. "Well, Superman and Supergirl are in a league of their own." Cos tries to agree, to help out with the "positive atmosphere".

There was a lot of stuff swirling in Mon El's head right now, and Cos would do his best to assauge the grief. "Look Lar. Don't worry about it. We're moving forward. Things are good. Imra is busy delving into a few things for me that may help get us home, and now, here we have, TWolf on the bridge, doing his shift! Positives!"

Looking over at Brin, Rokk nods. "Yeah. Brainy is a ghost. Wait...missing. We'll find him. I am sure. As for now, we have each other. As for what to do with you, feel free to follow your instincts, and report back when you can. Lar's the team lead, and so, he can be where you need him to be in a flash."

Mon-El has posed:
"It's all right, Brin. You did your best." Lar sighs, finally moving away from the terminal and sinking into a chair. "Thanks Cos. I just--I can't shake the feeling that ever since I got here, my life's just been one long string of screw-ups. Even after I got my memories back. I put Kara in danger--almost got her killed. Came pretty close to causing a planet-wide cataclysm while trying to restore my relationship with my family. And now this." he shakes his head. "You're right, Cos. I should stop worrying about Brainiac. It's clear he -doesn't- want to be found right now. And maybe I don't blame him any more."

Timber Wolf has posed:
Brin laughs, "Want me to cheer you guys up? Cotton candy. You know what that is?" he asks pulling it up on his datapad. "yeah they eat that on Earth. I did while down thre and it gets everywhere. It's good though if you like eating fuzzy things. Hence why I like it" he nods keenly looking amused at the idea of the uber serious team eating cotton candy. Because that's cracking him up as he's laughing.

"I'll get down to Earth and keep checking" he nods, tapping on his datapad. Looking over to the consoles for a moment, Brin glances back to Rok then to Lar. "Well if you want me to start to tracking, who wil take over my shift?" he adds looking skeptical.

Cosmic Boy has posed:
Rokk leans back and listens to all that Lar unveils to them. It was a lot. "Yeah, I get it Lar. A lot has happened. A lot." Rokk shakes his head. "But we're all about moving forward. Even trying to get home. It will be tough without Brainy if he doesn't show up, but we may have a few things that will get us home. One step at a time. I have a few ideas. Too bad Imra isn't here." Rokk smiles.

Blinking, Rokk says, "Cotton candy?" Listening, Rokk grins. "Sounds...good...?" Chuckling, Rokk waves to Brin, and says, "I'll take the rest of your shift Brin. Get out of here." A pause. "Bring me some cotton candy."

Mon-El has posed:
Lar stares at the picture of the cotton candy. He probably has seen it before. Just one of those weird Terran cuisine things. "Oh, that's the strange candy that looks like stuffing, right?"

He shakes his head at Brin. "Maybe we should leave Querl alone. If he changes his mind, I'm sure he'll know where to find us." Another sigh and he stares out the window. He didn't like saying it, but after searching for so long, it had to be said. "We should focus our efforts on other things."

Timber Wolf has posed:
Rok giving Brin an order? That's all the words T-Wolf needs to get on his feet.

"It is" Brin says, "Sinc I'm getting some, think we got a place for it on the ship?" he asks. Sure, cotton candy's vital to their mission....Brin will argue that point ad infinitum. Still though he nods to Rok, "You got my shift. Thank you" he adds. "Hey. Not all Terran cuisine is bad. Just mostt of it" he adds as a playful jab at Lar. "I can get you some decent cuisine however. Name what you want. I'll bring it back if it's not too hard to get"

Brin's totally serious. Why not mix tracking and being on planets with food, huh? They need food to survive after all so what's the harm in it?
