Superman has posed:
There was a chill in the air. A breeze, blowing across the city. Spring this year was taking its time coming, and at this time, it was as cold as the Antarctic. The frigid chill creeps through a body, making it shiver and exhale, leaving behind crystals and mist floating in the air. The night was long and dark. However, in the distance, a warmth could be felt. A beacon of sunlight and hope.

Through the darkened skies and the blue-whites of snow and ice, was a crystaline structure. It was the home to a very select few beings, orhphaned from their home planet, and one being in particular. Kal-El called this place his "Fortress of Solitude" but everyone that was near and dear to their hearts were welcome there. Inside was something...or someone...waiting.

Lois Lane has posed:
Sometimes a dream is just a dream. And other times it's so much more. Some believe that when you dream, your soul leaves your body and travels the astral realm, and maybe, just maybe you can visit souls on the other side...

Tonight on this cold and lonely night, as Lois thought about and worried and fretted over Superman's ultimate fate, she finds herself drifting to sleep, her dream carrying her many many miles away, to a place that is lonely, cold and dark. And yet the crystalline structure that appears before her is somehow welcoming. Its certainly familiar.

Had not Superman taken here once or at least talked fondly of the place? Right now it's hard to formulate thought as she finds herself drifting closer to that place, drawn by that warm bright beacon of light, and the feeling that maybe, just maybe she could find him here..

"Hello?" she calls out as she floats through the fortress, peering into the beautifully sculpted rooms, "Is there someone here?"

Superman has posed:
Superman had brought Lois here once before. Or was it a dream? Perhaps it was on impluse, something he never usually finds himself caught up in. However, for some reason, since the moment he met her, he has trusted Lois Lane. Even though you would think he should never trust her. An incredibly talented reporter with a zeal for finding out the truth and secrets...and he had a big one.

They had spent a day here, touring the place. Krypto had liked her....and it had been wonderful. At least he thought it happened...it felt good to reveal a bit of himself to her. Or was that all happening now? In the present? Was this just his dream, deep in his subsoncious, struggle to remember, hoping this may happen, everything perfect.

Then, he was gone again. Deep and dark, somewhere in the bottom of a building, in an enclosure, all trapped and entombed...was that consciousness once again? It was cold. He didn't feel cold though. Or was it death? No, it couldn't be. Falling, falling, back, into the cold, the snow, the ice, and blue-white light. Struggling to get back, Kal El follows his own beacon of warmth, back to the Fortress, back to her once more. His voice deep, and questioning..."Lois?"

Lois Lane has posed:
Lois Lane narrows her eyes as she peers around the place, memories of reality flooding back to her, "Oh yes that's right, I DID come here once before but..How'd I get back here..Is this a dream or...?" but it feels so real. And she even pinches herself to make sure. But you know, if you pinch yourself in your sleep it doesn't really count, does it?

"But, how did I get here? Did someone bring me here...?" and then she hears his voice, that IS his voice isn't it? "Superman! Is that you? Where are you?"oh wait, she has an idea, and Lois runs to the monitor room. Surely she can find him more easily there, if she can figure out how to work the thing..

Superman has posed:
It was like a shadow passes across the Fortress, briefly intercepting Superman's spirit. It was cold, technical, mechanical and distant. It wasn't the warmth and light of Kal El. It was something...else. More sinister. It was there, in the background, and then it fades from view. A glimpse of green skin, red eyes, almost machine-like in countenance. "I am coming Kal El..."

Both spirits here and now felt and heard and saw. Kal El blinks in his dreams, and finds Lois. Running. Always running. In the monitor room. Settling his spirit after seeing what he thought was another ghost, not a phantom from the phantom zone, but something far more dangerous, Kal El arrives. All this was just a dream though. Right?

"I am here Lois." Superman's visage solidifies, somewhat. He appears as a ghost, while Lois appears solid, like she was actually here. His costume was black, with the symbol of Krypton, silver on his chest. His hair was longer, as though it had grown over several months. And he had a beard?

"I heard you call from some where else...where fallen warriors go to drink and feast...where Thunder roars, and Gods walk..." His eyes grow distant, then suddenly return to Lois, a smile reflected in those blue eyes. "You saved me from death Lois. It was your call that woke me..." The ghost fades slightly, but was still there, wavering.

Lois Lane has posed:
Lois Lane frowns as she tries to figure out the controls, but pauses when she senses something..Something almost sinister, "What...Who are you?" she grits her teeth at the green skin and mechanical voice, tensing, ready for anything..Not like she can exactly defend herself, wherever she is. "Leave him alone, you hear me?"

But she knows they are empty threats, at least until she can find some heroes to help her protect superman, If only she were stronger in her own, but even Lois has her ways about her.

And then she senses him, "Superman! Is it really you? You look...Different.." gaze softens on him, moving quickly towards him, about to hug him but pauses, eyeing the ghostly form. She's likely to pass right through him..

"Yes, that's right. Thor helped me find your spirit, to reunite you with your body but now you're trapped somewhere..Do you remember anything..?" she watches him longingly, wishing she touch touch him, hold him again..It's been so long..

Superman has posed:
Evil, dark, twisted laughter fades in the distance as the being, whoever it was, fades into the icy stillness of darkness. Whatever she did to force the entity away, it works. It was like she had an effect on this dream realm, somehow. Perhaps from her recent encounters. Then, he was here.

Floating in front of Lois, Superman actually smiles. Again. "Different...I feel...I am...cold Lois. But that is ok. I am here with you now, and that is what matters."

The smile fades, slightly, as he almost opens his arms to hug her back, but stops himself as the same realization came to him. A dream. There it was. That inner strength once again. Not wanting others to worry.

"Thor...helped..." The spirit of the Man of Steel fades again, a little more this time. He was almost gone, insubstantial, like a phantom projection. There but not there. "I remember pain...a flash...sadness...loss...and darkness. Is he...is he ok?" Batman. Thinking of him over himself. IN character at least.

Reaching out, sadness appears on his face. "I have to go Lois. Thank you. I would not be here without...you........find.........me........." Gone.

Lois Lane has posed:
Lois Lane blinks, peering back at him, reaching out anyway, perhaps if emotions are strong enough, she can project a feeling if warmth, kindness...Love towards him. To at least do dirt him, "Hey, hang in there, it's gonna be okay, I promise.." she can't help but smile at the irony. For once he is the helpless one and she is coming to his rescue, "I've got some leads, were forming a rescue team, I just need you to hang n a bit longer..Please..!" and then he fades from view. She gasps, stepping towards him, "Superman! Please...Stay safe, just a little longer..."
