The Teacher's Lounge
Date of Scene: 24 March 2020
Location: Teacher's Lounge, Second Floor, Xavier's School
Synopsis: Ororo and Peter discuss their respective classes at Xavier's Academy.
Cast of Characters: Spider-Man, Storm

Spider-Man has posed:
After a long day of teaching, Peter had decided to visit the teacher's lounge so he could relax before putting on the Spider-Suit and doing the whole superhero-vigilante thing that J. Jonah Jameson raves negatively about. He opened the door and headed almost immediately to the fridge, where he pulls out not a cold one like Logan was likely oft to do, but instead he grabs a bottle of water and moves over to the couch.

A flop later, and Peter is yawning a little bit. He's had a long night and an even longer day. Being a teacher and a superhero is hard work! Though he does notice the teacher's lounge is looking really....empty at the moment. Which is understandable when the entire building is filled with mutant kids with crazy abilities. He sips his water, wondering when someone else might be in.

Storm has posed:
Ororo Munroe walks in carrying a pair of flowerpots, each of which has some orchids in it. She nods as she is getting ready to set them up in various places. She is wearing a cream-colored dress that is very modest. She then glances over. "Peter," she muses softly, showing little emotion as is her way, as she sets the orchids up against the west-facing window so they have more light. She then murmurs, "They should be happy here." She then takes a seat to admire her work.

Spider-Man has posed:
Peter looks up at Ororo when she walks in with her flowerpots. "Hey Ororo, whats cookin' good lookin'?" Peter casually flirts with the exotic woman before he looks at her flowers. "I think they'll do just fine, 'ro. You put them in one of the best windows in the entire mansion." Peter says with the intent of being good-natured. "But aside from the flowers, how are you doing today?"

Though if her dress is any indication, Ororo might be in a good mood. Its like a sunny sky, almost, the way she appears today.

Storm has posed:
Ororo Munroe nods slowly. "Other htan in my attic room, yes. This is one of the best windows. I thought this room could use some more color." She glances at you. "How are your classes going? I have a somewht small class this time around but my students are delightful."

Spider-Man has posed:
A chuckle is given Ororo's way, but Peter shrugs a little. "My classes are going pretty good so far. My students are having a hard time catching onto certain concepts, but I'm trying to put it into extreme lamen's terms so they can understand it, like my teachers once did for me." But Peter's a genius. He does smile though and pats the spot on the couch beside him, if she prefers. "But I totally get it. Nothing wrong with a small class, I just wish I was a better teacher in some respects."

Storm has posed:
Ororo Munroe nods as she moves to sit down by you where indicated, eyebrow raised. "I am having an easier time of things. My students seem to grasp history decently." She smiles faintly at you - a lot of emotion for the reserved Ororo. "You do fine. I have heard no complaints and many complments about your performance from your peers and students."

Spider-Man has posed:
Peter rubs the back of his neck just a tad as he shrugs. "Yeah? Glad they understand history. Kinda hard not to understand history, I guess. But it can be a hard class if you're not quite good at memorization." Peter notices the 'more-emotion-than-usual' expression on Ororo's face and he gives her a warm smile. "Thanks, Ororo. I appreciate the compliment. I dunno, I guess I'm still getting used to the whole teaching gig. I'm used to taking photographs and stuff."

Storm has posed:
Ororo Munroe shrugs. "We all have a past," she muses. "How much our present connects to our past is a constant fluctuation." Her face is serene once more. "Perhaps you are simply too hard on yourself. Many times, a person' worst critic can be found in their mirror."

Spider-Man has posed:
Peter ponders this for a good moment before he shrugs. "Yeah, I guess you're right. Though if you ask my Aunt May, I guess I'm like that all the time on myself. Though maybe its just some of the students just arn't trying. Maybe I'll blow something up -safely-, see if I can pique that scientific chemical interest." He claps his hands like this is an amazing idea, before he looks at Ororo. "What do you think?"

Storm has posed:
Ororo Munroe nods. "The youth are rather fond of pyrotechnics and explosives. A simple experiment that makes something blow up will catch their interest. Just be sure not to hurt yourself." She nbods slowly. "I would hate to have to drag you to a hospital due to a sodium explosion or whatnot." She smiles wryly - again faintly.

Spider-Man has posed:
"Ah, don't worry about it. I'll only use a -teensy- bit of sulfur. Enough to make a couple big sparks and wake everybody up in class, that way, its not all just boring talk about chemical equations and ionic compounds." Peter chuckles just a little bit. "But, if something happens, I promise I'm a little tougher than I look."

Storm has posed:
Ororo Munroe nods. "Good. That's probably why you're here. Professor Xavier only accepts the best - and if not available the toughest. For the students are capable of many extraordinary things. And the teachers are too."

Spider-Man has posed:
Peter smiles just a little bit. "Yeah, I know the teachers are pretty incredible, superhuman good looks aside." He flirts with Ororo yet again, shamelessly, but Ororo was quite right. Peter would not be teaching at this school if he couldn't mentally or physically be prepared for it. "Yet each one of those kids is unique."

Storm has posed:
Ororo Munroe nods. "Everyone is unique in their own way - it's just FAR more obvious here." She smiles a bit wider. "Your silver tongue is both an asset and a curse. You should be careful with your compliments - younever know when you might need them." She winks at you.

Spider-Man has posed:
Peter seems to flush a little bit when you wink at him, though he rubs the back of his head. "Why should I be careful with my compliments if they are true?" Peter asks Ororo and maybe shuffles a little bit closer to her. "That is, if my compliments make you uncomfortable, it'd probably be good to know."

Storm has posed:
Ororo Munroe smiles. "It takes many harsh words to amke me uncomfortable. You lack the capability to make me so." She gazes intently at you. "You have a kind heart, Peter Parker."

Spider-Man has posed:
Peter chuckles then. "Good, then I hope I never make you uncomfortable." His attention is firmly on Ororo, locking eyes with the white-haired weather goddess. "But Uhm," he clears his throat. "Thats just my opinion."
