Synopsis: Blurr has questions for Shannon.
Cast of Characters: Blurr, Nightingale

Blurr has posed:
So! After that whole situation with Lockdown and Pixie in the subway tunnels, Blurr has -questions-. Lots of questions. Especially regarding the fact that Shannon had apparently stumbled across something he had been hoping -no one- would stumble across.

Not long after the incident, Shannon would spot him pulling up to the school again late one night, that sleek custom looking form unmistakeable to her.

Nightingale has posed:
Well, at least Shannon wasn't grounded this time. However, if Blurr were to scan her at all, he might note some damage to her left shoulder, that seemed to be repairing itself a bit faster than one might expect with most organics. She does seem to be favoring that side ever so slightly as she heads outside, in her dark blue jeans, caramel suede boots, and cream tunic sweater. Her smile lights up her face and she waves, setting off at a light jog to go out and meet him.

"Hey you... didn't think I'd ever see you again! Everything okay?"

Blurr has posed:
As Shannon approaches, there is that telltale shimmer of light when the holomatter materializes right outside of Blurr's vehicle form. As per usual, it resembles a blond teenager.

"Really? Why's that?" The avatar questions, as Blurr does a quick scan of the immediate area to see if anyone else is out and about. "Look um...we need to talk. Somewhere private. I'm assuming you have a hab suite of some kind in there?" he asks, as the projected teen glances toward the school. "I can use this in there. As long as it's in range."

Nightingale has posed:
Shannon rubs her temples lightly, musing on what to say. "I do have a dorm in there... hab suite, you'd say. But they're pretty picky about the rules against genders mixing before a certain age. I could get in a whole lot of trouble, letting you in there." Thankfully, nobody else seems to be in the immediate vicinity, and even if anyone /was/ around, they'd be well out of earshot.

Smiling lightly, Shannon reaches out as if to touch the avatar's shoulder briefly. "It sounded a lot like you were cutting ties the last time I saw you, with that bounty hunter acting up and his gun all in my face and Megan's... yeah. Wasn't sure if you'd be back."

Blurr has posed:
The avatar gives Shannon a puzzled look when she explains the bit about genders mixing. Huh? Terrans were just weird. Oh well. It didn't seem like anyone else was out here within hearing range, anyway, as he had just finished the scan. He was a little concerned someone might get suspicious if she stayed out here too long, though. So he would try to make this quick.

"Well I was going to, honestly, but then you said you found a device at Club Evolution. Shannon, I -need- to know what was done with that device. Where is it?"

He lowers his voice. "It's extremely important that no one else knows. And that Lockdown -doesn't- get his hands on it. Or anyone native who can read Neocybex for that matter."

Nightingale has posed:
"The last I saw, the device was with Sam Guthrie. There's been no sign of... oh, Lockdown is the bounty hunter's name? Huh." A little smile curls the girl's lips upwards, and she shakes her head. "The only one I know of who could read that writing is Doug, and he's had his hands full with other things for a while now. Beyond that, Megan knows about the device's existence, and has a very general idea about the situation, but I couldn't tell her anything specific."

A soft chuckle escapes Shannon, though, and she tilts her head. "There was a little being we were chasing down, though, when we found you and Lockdown duking it out. She terms it a 'fairy', and both of us were wondering if there's any chance that it could have become trapped in your cockpit somehow?"

Blurr has posed:
"Sam Guthrie, was the one who was with you when we met before?" Blurr asks. "Do you know where he put it?" he sighs. "Just make sure the puts it somewhere safe, and doesn't tell -anyone- else where it is. Well, except me, when the time comes. I have to retrieve it as -soon- as Lockdown leaves the planet, and get it where it needs to be -before- he..." But he doesn't finish, shaking his head.

"...fairy?" Another puzzled look. "Uh, I don't know, what does it look like? How small are we talking?"

Nightingale has posed:
Shannon shakes her head and shrugs. "Beats me what this specific one looks like. I remember seeing something green and glowing heading your way during the fight. Fairies... they're usually depicted in Earth mythology as humanoid, with wings like Megan has. Just usually a LOT smaller than us... like, one can fit in the palm of our hand or smaller."

Thinking for a moment, Shannon nods. "I sent a message to him while you and Lockdown were having it out. He's likely got it hidden by now. I'd talk to him real soon, though...."

Blurr has posed:
Palm of a Terran hand? "Well Primus that's pretty slagging tiny." Blurr remarks. "Sorry, but since I don't know anything about the things, I'd have no way of detecting it." He doesn't seem very concerned about it. Unless... "It's not dangerous, is it?"

"I don't know, I'd rather wait until Lockdown leaves the planet in case he's got some way to monitor transmissions. I'd feel a lot more comfortable if he could tell you where it is, then you could tell me later, in the same way we're talking right now..."

"Oh and also." He pauses briefly. "What the smelt was that teleporting scrap did you do that?!"

Nightingale has posed:
"We're talking about Sam Guthrie here. Chances are pretty good that the next thing to happen is one of us relaying the chip to you from the club. Especially since he's the manager there." Shannon smiles a little, running her fingers through her hair. "Oh... as for the portal, I didn't do that. That was Megan. It's part of her mutation. She was trying to get you or us to safety."

Blurr has posed:
"No! Don't give it to me yet--we have to keep it hidden until Lockdown leaves the planet. -Then- I'll need to retrieve it as quickly as possible." Blurr reiterates.

"Oh? She can teleport people?" Huh. "Wow, didn't know there were Terrans who could do that. That's pretty neat. Well tell her thanks, it got me out of a predicament, but maybe next time she could warn me?"

Nightingale has posed:
Nodding slowly, Shannon smiles at Blurr. "Got it. I'll talk to Sam directly, then. Next to nothing for Lockdown to monitor from wherever he is. No tech."

Her smile widens as Blurr seems to share, if only for a brief moment, her everyday amazement at the wild array of gifts that she sees on a regular basis. "You'd be surprised what some mutants like Megan and I can do. There's some with the power of magnetism... some with telepathy... some like Doug that you've seen who have a command of all languages--though he's the only one I know of who's that strong. There's teleporters, telekinetics, and even a rare few healers. And even among those, there's variants among similarly-themed gifts. As many of us mutants as there are, there equally as many different types of gifts. It's pretty amazing to me sometimes when I think about it."

She grins and nods at Blurr's request to relay to Megan, chuckling softly. "You got it."

Blurr has posed:
"Okay." The avatar nods, looking a fair bit less stressed than when he first appeared. It seems she has been able to put most of his worries to rest. "Thanks, Shannon."

"Heh, sounds a lot like the Outliers back home." he remarks at the mention of mutants and the vast array of different abilities they have. "The Senate couldn't stand them, because they didn't 'fit' into their little system and couldn't be put on remote control..."

Nightingale has posed:
Shannon smiles some and nods. "Yeah, unfortunately humankind isn't so nice to mutants sometimes, either." She sighs softly, shaking her head. "On one hand, it's kind of nice to know we've got more in common than different. On the other hand, I wish it wasn't the prejudice against that which differs from the 'norm'."

Blurr has posed:
"Oh, I don't think it was because they were different or not normal, it was more of the fact that because they didn't fit into the system, they couldn't be controlled like everyone else. They were unknowns, inexplicable." Blurr replies. "I mean, -I'm- different from the rest of my kind, but they didn't hate me...because they made me so they could control me unlike the others."

A pause. "Ahem, anyway. You should probably get back to your hab. Someone might get suspicious."

Nightingale has posed:
Nodding in agreement, the winged teen smiles some at Blurr. "Yeah, probably a good idea." There's a pause, where Shannon seems to regard Blurr for a few long moments. "The only thing that really sucks about this is not getting to see my friend very often." She steps back, wrapping her good arm around her midsection, smiling somewhat. "You -are- missed, you know."

Blurr has posed:
"...really?" Blurr actually seems surprised by this admission. "I think that's the first time another species said that about me. At least, the first in -very- long time."

Air passes through his vent systems in a sound akin to a sigh. "I dunno, maybe after all of this is over, I can visit with you on a more...friendly basis."

"If you see Lockdown hanging around though, or if he shows up and starts terrorizing people, definitely let me know." With that, the avatar despawns, and he exits the parking area, heading back out to the road.

Nightingale has posed:
The young woman seems to brighten at this, and she nods. "That'd be great if you could, when all this is over. That'll be something to look forward to." With that, she turns and heads back towards the mansion, her mood considerably lightened. True friends were far and few between, and this was one she didn't care to see the last of anytime soon!
