Location: Lobby, Hyperion Hotel
Synopsis: Buffy introduces some allies to Angel. A mysterious visitor makes another appearance.
Cast of Characters: Buffy Summers, Angel, Dean Winchester, Phantasm (Drago), Nightwing, Thomas Raith

Buffy Summers has posed:
It was about time Buffy introduced Dean to the rest of the team, being as he is a fellow demon hunter, and new trouble is stirring. So she had texted him ahead of time to meet her at the Hyperion to introduce him to AI, maybe compare notes and there's always the bar for a few drinks too!

She's naturally the first to arrive and steps in, peering around. "Hello, anyone home? Angel? Cordy?" hopefully not the latter. Cuz of various reasons. But..

Angel has posed:
Walking out of the office on the main level, Angel moves to stand behind the "half moon" desk with the green lamp, and looks out at the main floor. "Buffy! I'm here! Good to see you. I really need to get a bell or an alarm to let me know when people come in here. Good to see you." Angel smiles. "Cordy isn't here right now, but if I can help, I will. I can call her if you need her though?" Was he teasing her?

Dean Winchester has posed:
Dean's right behind pulling Baby into the lot and staring in the mirror as if looking for any sign of....oh, a talking raven. Yep Dean's definitely needing way more sleep. Sheesh.

So locking the Impala, he's strolling along behind Buffy and looks at the surroundings. "You trying to get me to ghost hunt, or something. Am I gonna run into Dean Martin's ghost here or something?" Dean adds looking amused at the idea. On a whim, he checks his phone. Yep. Message from Buffy.

Thewn Dean spies Angel and looks from Angel to Buffy. "So..." he says slowly. "You're not a ghost. There goes that theory. It's an....uh...." he pauses. "Interesting hotel you got here"

Buffy Summers has posed:
Buffy Summers smirks at Dean over her shoulder, and just shrugs as she leads him to the front desk. "Well..To be fair, this hotel used to be haunted..Or so I'm told." she shrugs, )Who knows, maybe it's still haunted?" Buffy grins at him and winks as she says that. "Hope you're not scared of ghosts?"

To Angel, her smile is a bit softer, "Hey, Angel. How've you been?" she glances around and is relieved to see no Cordy here today, but the thought does cause her to stifle a laugh, "No worries, I think I'll manage fine without her..Though a desk bell would be a good idea.."

To Dean she nods, jerking her head to Angel, "Angel, I want you to meet a..An ally of mine. This is Dean WinChester, perhaps you've heard of him? Dean, this is Angel."

Angel has posed:
Angel looks Dean up and down, and nods, as though satisfied. "No. I'm not a ghost." Looking around at the hotel room they found themselves in, Angel agrees with Dean. "Yep. She's got a lot of heart. A lot of "spirit" if you will. As Buffy says. She may be haunted. Or may not." Angel shrugs, and moves out from behind the desk while looking at Buffy.

"I've been good Buffy. Been here and there. Killing demons, fighting evil, and making sure innocents are safe. Same old. I see you are good...desk bell is a good idea. I'll put Cordy on it."

Angel's eyes find Dean again, as Buffy introduces him to Dean. "Nice to meet you Dean. Welcome to the Hyperion, HQ of Angel Investigations. We Help the Helpless. You're that Hunter I heard about. You do good work."

Phantasm (Drago) has posed:
It is a little bit after the others are settled that Nick shows up. Facial hair shaved off but hair still short, the knit capped musician wanders into the lobby. Palmed in his hand a tiny, thin rectangular gift card envelope.

"Hey guys, he greets, glancing around to see Angel, Buffy, and Dean. A slight smirk forms before he glances over to Angel. Expression a bit more neutral. "Is Chase around?"

Dean Winchester has posed:
Dean nods and grins. "So who told you about me? Yeah, prfessional slayer of things, that's me and my brother. We kinda do the same thing really, we help the helpless too. It's like, hey, we're good like that. Turn up, work out what's going on, and deal with what happens." Dean nods.

"Ah you know Buffy, we had an interesting meeting, we gottta quit running into each other like this. So what's up?" Dean adds taking in the lobby with a grin, then he looks serious and finds a spot to sit. Away from Buffy notably.

Mostly cause Buffy seems to be a trouble magnet for him. Or...maybe that's just Dean being a lot of trouble himself. Or, both. Still though Dean shrugs off his jacket and looks pleased. The place hasn't fallen down around his ears yet. Good start.

Buffy Summers has posed:
Buffy Summers just smirks as Angel describes Cordelia as 'spirited'. "Heh, guess that's one way if describing her.." she shrugs, "But who am I to judge? Maybe she's turned over a new leaf, working for you has got to have had a positive influence on her.."

She steps up to the bar, taking a seat, "Soo, hows business been for you Angel? Any leads on those disappearing teens? How about ghouls? Dean and I ran into a few of them..Between the two of us we made quick work of them, though it seems they were also working for Carpe Noctem.."

She sighs, "Still no leads on where they've moved their little meetups. Checked out the Tunnel but they're clean, and I haven't seen any bonfire parties at the cemetaries in Sunnydale lately.."

When Nick steps in, she nods and smiles to him, "How's it going, Nick? Doesn't look like Cordie's in today..' somehow she seems relieved about that.

Angel has posed:
"Oh, I hear about Hunters through the grapevine. Here and there. Kind of a Hunter myself, so a few of them I've met and helped through the years keep me up-to-date on the who's who of Hunters. They all speak highly of you Dean. And your brother. Sam right? Is he here as well?" Angel looks at the door, half expecting Sam to join them.

Angel watches as Dean takes a seat, and then looks over at Buffy. "Oh, nothing. Not much actually. Been wondering where a few of our friends have been lately, like Dawn and Fred, but other than that, staying cool and waiting for the next call to come in." That was when Nick arrives.

"Haven't seen Chase. But glad you're here." Angel nods. "Business has been good Buffy. Always someone needing our help. Probably why everyone is gone...nothing to report on the disappearing teens, sadly. Ghouls, nadda. You ran into a few? Glad you are okay. They can be nasty." Angel says, a look of concern appearing on his face.

Phantasm (Drago) has posed:
"Oh well." Nick shakes his head, twisting his hand to where the envelope rises up to present between thumb and index. He holds out towards Angel, "Whenever she pops in to work could you pass that off to her? I meant to drop it off yesterday but time got away from me."

He looks over to Buffy, "I'm doing alright. Just trying to find a balance between work, practice, and relaxation."

He looks over to Dean, "I'm mostly just winging it."

Dean Winchester has posed:
"No, Sam's researching things, holed up in a hotel near Salem Center" Dean shrugs. "Nothing so far either" Dean addds looking to Buffy then Angel, looking worried at the mention of ghouls.

"Yeah we ran into them and between us we dealt with them, they were tough but we make a decent team" Dean into them but between Buffy and I we dealt with them. Se. We make a good team" he admits with a laugh. "Yeah same, Angel. We heard about you, and it's good to finally meet you in person"

Looking to Nick, Dean blinks. "You know it's weird, there was a bird in my car earlier, and....now you're talking about winging things?" Dean asks skeptically.

Buffy Summers has posed:
Buffy Summers nods and sighs, "Geez, another dead end, huh.." she shrugs and grins, "Heey, I can take care of myself, between Dean and I, those demons didn't stand a chance, heck, I may consider hiring as a full time minion.." she grins and winks at a Dean, apparently enjoying the taunting of him.

She peers at Angel curiously, "Soo no visions from Doyle lately? Hmmm, maybe we'll have to back to where we found the ghouls.."

Angel has posed:
"Sure Nick." Angel takes the envelope, and turns for a second to put it on the desk. "I'll make sure she gets it." A quick smile later, and Angel says, "I'd offer everyone drinks, but we seem to be low on spirits." Angel smirks, knowing he made a "Old Man Dad Joke" about the ghosts, present and elsewhere. Angel adds, "I think that the fridge and the bar has been filched, which reminds me. Shopping list for alcohol..."

Angel nods, absorbing the info about Sam. Then, the intel about the ghouls, etc. Nodding, Angel bows slightly at the waist. "Nice to meet you to. It is good to have allies in this war against evil....wait, a bird?"

A pause. "Nope. No visions. Doyle...yeah." Something was there, that Angel did not want to say in present company. "No visions. Which is strange."

Phantasm (Drago) has posed:
Nick nods, "Thanks. I wasn't sure what to get for her birthday so I just went with the tried and true."

He looks over to Dean, "It's not like I disguised my voice or anything. "

Buffy Summers has posed:
Buffy Summers peers at the envelope, then at Nick. Oh sh---"Wait wait, did I miss Cordie's birthday? When was that?" Not that she's super close or even vaguely close to Cordie but it would seem mean if she didn't even try. "Umm I mean..Guess I must have left her gift at home!" nervous laughter ensues.

Angel is given a look. Wow did he just crack a joke? With a straight face? She bites her lip, trying not to laugh, "Heh..You should try ordering from Macs. They do good drinks."

Dean Winchester has posed:
"A bird. Looked in the mirror. There was a raven faceplanted in the seat" Dean says with a look to Nick. "I got you to beakwing, so at least give me some tiny credit will you?" Dean says and looks over to Buffy then Angel. "I can reach out to my hunter network and see what they say, I'll let you know what if anything they find. Hey, probably birdseed" Dean says as a jab at Nick, then he nods to Angel. He's wondering the same wait, did the guy behind the desk make a funny?

Dean chuckles a moment, "So, where do you need my brand of thing beating down exactly? I can help you all out pro bono, if you like"

Generous offer, Dean. He's wanting to help Bufy out after she helped him with ghouls, really. Angel's just in the right spot, at the right time.

Angel has posed:
"The other day Buffy." Angel smiles. "I put your name on the card, don't worry. I'm looking after ya. And Dawny too." Angel winks at her, seeing how "concerned" she is. He tries not to laugh. "Is "Love Buffy" okay?" Angel shuffles a few steps sideways, to avoid any fallout.

"Macs...will do! I heard about that place." Angel looks over at Dean and Nick's convo, and tries to follow about the bird.

Nodding to Dean about the network, he says, "Good idea Dean. Every bit helps. We can use your help if everything I hear about you is true. Welcome aboard. Official and everything. Feel free to have the run of the place if you need it. Cordy and Fred can get you set up two with rooms, if you and Sam need it."

Phantasm (Drago) has posed:
Nick looks over to Buffy, "Looks like you're covered. I just figured whatever I picked would not get approved so I just went with a gift card."

Nick glances over to Dean, "That reaction was more to your counterargument over why you freaked out more over a raven than Buffy did."

Buffy Summers has posed:
Buffy Summers arches a curious brow at Dean, then glances at Nick with a smirk and shrugs, "Why'd I be freaked out over a cute little raven? I mean I've seen scarier critters. Not that I doubt your ability at all, but...You're just sooo darned cute as a Raven." she grins at Nick, an impish glint in her eyes.

To Angel, she actually seems to choke a bit at the 'Love Buffy' part. "Er..Realky? Dont you think that's a little...Strong? I mean we're nit exactly.lBest buddies or even really...Buddies Soo..." she shrugs helplessly.

To Dean she nods, "Thanks, I appreciate that. Those ghouls came from somewhere, we. should retrace our footsteps, see if we can find more of them or a lead or something.."

Dean Winchester has posed:
"I woke up and you were beak first in my back seat" Dean points out. "Then you were all folding your wings like a sulky teenager when the v-word was mentioned" Dean says, saying 'vetrinarian' in a hushed whisper. "I was generous. I offered to slam on the brakes by fresh carrion, jeez. You ducked that issue" Dean nods whipping his head aroundd to Buffy. "Good plan. We were in Sunnydale, they came out of nowhere and had that tattoo or, or drawing on them. So that's leading me to hit up every tattoo place in the three states and see if they figure it out?>" Dean asks then blinks at Angel.

"Official and all. Like, I work for you? My dad is going to flip when he finds out, and Sammy's going to be ha ha ha Dean, I told you so" Dean mock sulks. "Really though I'm glad to help out and work with allies and...." he pauses looking to Buffy, "Friends on this. Or at least, partners in fighting" he says

Angel has posed:
"Maybe..." Angel says to Buffy, with a straight face. "I'm sure she will appreciate it." Angel leans against the desk, and looks over at Dean and Nick. "The offer includes you too Nick. You are welcome here anytime. You all are." Angel nods. "Tattoo...hrm. Work for? Not really, although if you want to chip in on cases, we can cut you into whatever we make...which is usually not too much...same as what a Hunter makes, I gather." A pause. "Partners in "crime"."

Dean Winchester has posed:
"most of our cash goes on food and expenses. Speaking of. Any pie?" Dean asks with a grin. "Orr, a cheeseburger with bacon? Wait, I gotta work with somebody who can turn into a bird? Aw come on" Dean grins.

"Yeah. Tattoo. Remember what it was, Buffy?" he asks as if putting her on the spot since, well, they now kinda sorta are involved in this together, this whole mysterious ghoul tattoo thing.

But first. Hopefully, Angel has pie. Cause no way he's ordering in food. Nuhuh. Just nope.

Buffy Summers has posed:
Buffy Summers smiles at Dean and nods, "Good idea! Just keep an eye out for those ghouls, they're way stronger than vamps." she nods to Dean and playfully shoulder bumps him with a smile, "Friend works, yeah, that's the plan." she quirks a curious brow at him though, "Soo who are the hunters? I just know about you and Sam, you guys got more folks working for you?"

Phantasm (Drago) has posed:
"That's because you woke up prematurely." Nick points out, "I even warned you in the dream that it was better I moved on before you woke up."

Nick turns his head to look to Angel as his name is mentioned. "Ah okay. I'll keep that in mind next time I come to the condo and find a tie on the door."

Nick glances over to Dean, eyes narrowing, "I have other forms. It's just better not to use them."

Dean Winchester has posed:
Dean grins. "There's quite a few. Got an angel who I hang out with, got Jo, got a whole network of lowlifes and reprobates and friendly sorts. So" Dean grins. "Probably run into one before, that shady guy in the gas station? Probably one of my extended network. That guy outside the 7/11? Yeah, that's probably one of my guys" Dean smiles. "We're all on the same page, just buy them a beer or a good meal, and listen. And don't worry about your wallet going missing too! Dean chuckles. "It turns up eventually"

The shoulder bump gets Dean on his feet, leaning over slightly to not go thud on the floor. "Ah come on. Get the Winchester crew together. You, Sam,Jo, me, I'll drive, we shw those ghouls the business end of a pointy sword or dagger or hey, five dollar kitchen knife" Dean grins.

Well, he's gone up to friend status with Buffy too. Hey, today's working out great.

"You think I'd listen to a talking bird? Nah, I didn't. Se, we got off on the wrong foot. Or wing. I'm Dean" he offers to Nick and rights himself before ofering a hand. Oh Dean's really trying not to annoy his new apparently workmates

Buffy Summers has posed:
Buffy Summers peers curiously at Nick, "Oh yeah? I'm curious to see your other forms, are they as cute as mr. Raven?" she grins. To Dean she quirks a brow, "Wow, like a real angel? You serious?"

Angel has posed:
"Huh. An angel? Interesting." Angel frowns, and considers. Sounds like we can help each other, that is for sure. Your network is a great one to have as an ally Dean. We have contacts too, but that sounds like it reaches all over the United States. Impressive."

Angel nods with Buffy, agreeing with exactly what she just said. He blinks at Nick, and shrugs. "Indeed."

Phantasm (Drago) has posed:
"One of the forms is a definite 'no'." Nick answers Buffy, no hint of joking to his tone as he looking back to Dean as he introduces himself to the musician. "Still Nick" He studies Dean's face for any form of recognition, "...Drago."

Angel has posed:
"Let me see if I have some food in the back...feel free to keep talking and strategizing. I won't be too long. Be right back." Angel nods to Dean, Buffy and Nick, and with a quick move, heads through the door to the back of the main floor of the Hotel, looking for something for his guests to eat or drink. What was there, what was there...there was some chips that Fred was munching on...maybe a few bottles of Wesley's beer to bring out...off to find!

Buffy Summers has posed:
Buffy Summers nods and grins at Angel, "How bout some alcohol too, while you're at it?" she waves to Dean as he heads out, "Seeya later!" to Nick she arches a brow, "Soo how's that work again? I mean I've seen your crow, why do t you trandirm into other firms much, exactly?"

Nightwing has posed:
For the most part running surveillance is a pretty easy and straight foward -- if boring task -- for the various members of the Bat Family. They have all the nifty gadgets afterall and it is remarkable how often people neglect to look up when looking for prying eyes. Of course, all that gets complicated during daylight hours when dancing across rooftops just isn't quite as subtle as it is in the dead of the night. Throw in other difficulties and that has lead Nightwing to draw on old fashion stalking and disguises once more. This time the blonde wig is further buried under a ballcap and while he might not be recognizable as either his vigilante or civilian identity, he didn't count on the extreme paranoia of the group he was tailing.

Paranoid that has left him being tailed in turn. Really, he would be impressed if it wasn't so damned inconvenient. Given the choice of blowing his cover entirely or abandonning his quarry for the time being, he chooses the later, ducking into a hotel and hopefully out sight long enough to shake his pursuers. Which is how he finds himself in the lobby of the Hyperion...

Phantasm (Drago) has posed:
Leaving the befuddled hunter to make his way out, giving but a brief wave to him and a nod towards the temporarily leaving Angel. Formalities aside, the musician turns his attention towards the Slayer and her question, "Well, um..."

He glances upwards as he tries a way to describe it, "As you go further down the line, the others might be stronger and more effective in a fight but they're more agressive and, the last one is..."

He leans against the bar, which he has in the course of his time here been somewhat drawn to. Old habits die hard. "It's not a good one. Everything has a cost. And I think it builds up in him."

Nightwing has posed:
Glancing around the lobby, Dick's brow furrows ever so slightly. Clearly the building is a hotel as indicated outside and yet it might be one of the strangest hotels he has been to in awhile. The whole place feels a little off and definitely a little quiet. Nor does it exactly seem like there are a bunch of people around that he can blend in with. That could be a problem. Sneaking a quick peek back over his shoulder, he eyes the street outside through the door. Which is when he spots one of his pursuers, glancing around with his own look of befuddlement on his face. Okay, he's not going back out that way.

Glancing around and with few other immediate options, the young man turns towards one of the areas off to the side of the main lobby, slipping through the archway into what he presumes is the hotel bar. Maybe the place is closed for renovations or something.

Phantasm (Drago) has posed:
The presence of people in the area of the quiet bar, seems to indicate that the bar is not closed. But the bartender is not visibly present. Nick wearing a knitcap and, definitely second-hand clothes leans against to the bar talking to Buffy. Both of a familiar appearance for anyone with a memory of the 80s themed club incident.

Nick stops speaking as his lean against the bar does manage to grant him a view of the entering man. A head tilting curiously as something about the guy seems familiar, but he can't quite place the where or how. He's met a lot of people before though. Could be anyone. Or maybe it's one of the types who comes here seeking help? "Hey. Bartender will be back in a bit if you don't mind the wait."

Angel has posed:
After several minutes in the back office, Angel makes an appearance, and drops several bottles of beer, and a tray of miscellaneous snacks on top of the desk/bar/whatever it was. His eyes look over at Nick as he nods, and then finds Nightwing and with a raised eyebrow goes. "Why. Hello there. I don't think we've met. I'm Angel. Owner of this fine establishment. You are...?"

Nightwing has posed:
The fact that the bar is not completely empty is a good sign even if Dick is yet to notice anyone of a staffly sort of appearance out and about. But at least there is a chance that he won't draw attention in here if his pursuers happen to check out this place. Glancing back over his shoulder once more just to be sure they haven't entered this odd little hotel yet, he turns towards the bar.

As the man there calls out to him, lets him know that the bartender should be back soon he gives an absent nod and a casual "Thanks," in turn. And also takes a moment to actually study the pair at the bar. Not perfect strangers at all, Dick is a little surprised to actually recognize them. That karaoke bar. What are the chances of that? Again his hackles rise just a little but he simply strolls casually towards the bar, pulling out the stool at the end of it and perches himself on it, offering him a good view of the lobby. "Got nowhere else I got to be anyway," he offers up. Which... is not true. But best to avoid a fight.

As the other man reemerges from the back and introduces himself, Dick arches a brow beneath the bill of that ballcap. "You can call me Jason. Quiet day, huh?"

Buffy Summers has posed:
Buffy Summers glances up at the back office as Angel returns. "Hey Angel, did you find any alcohol back there? I could use a drink.." she pauses, glancing at the newcomer, who looks kinda familiar although she can't quite place it. "Ohh, hello...Umm have we met before?"

Phantasm (Drago) has posed:
"All the more reason to pop in here." Nick agrees to Dick's statement before seeing Angel pop in with food and drinks. "Well, that wasn't a long wait after all." Nick comments, giving Nightwing a smile and a nod before leaving Angel to greet the potential person spending money. It's technically a business so, time for Angel to work that bar.

At Buffy's inquiry in to Jason, Nick takes another glance to the blonde. "...You know, I was thinking he looked familiar too but, I've meet a lot of people so it kind of blurs after a bit."

Angel has posed:
"Nice to meet you Jason." Angel raises an eyebrow, as he sniffs absently. "Quiet is right. What brings you around to the Hyperion?" Angel looks to Buffy and to Nick to see if they know him. "Sure Buffy! I found a few beers hidden out back. I'll have to pick up the good stuff later."

Angel's eyes look over at Nick, to see if he recognizes the guest. Both Buffy and Nick...although Angel doesn't recognize him. "So, Jason. We're a part of a group of people who helps those in need. Do you need our help, or do you know anyone here?" Angel pushes a beer his way, and one for everyone else as well.

Nightwing has posed:
He has learned a lot of skills since the day that Bruce Wayne took him in after his parents were murdered. Certainly all the combat skills are the most showy, the ones people immediately latch on to. But like his mentor, at heart he is a detective and his powers of observation are second to none. So he does indeed recognize the pair at the bar. Their own showing at the karaoke bar was rather impressive afterall -- not something one expects to see from random bystanders. They certainly saved him a lot of trouble by being able to take care of themselves.

All of which goes to the fact that the recognition makes him surpress his immediate impulse to lie. At least any further. About to reply to the pair and brush off the familiarity, he pauses for a moment as Angel gives his little spiel. Beneath the brim of that ball cap eyes narrow thoughtfully for a moment and he finally gives a little nod. "I'll be straight with you folks then. I do indeed recognize you. It was a little while back, the 80's themed karaoke club with that little spot of nastiness," he says before turning back towards the man behind the bad. "But honestly, me walking in here like this is a complete coincidence. I was tailing someone but he was a little cleverer then I was expecting. He had a pack on me too. I just darted in here to get off the street and out of their sight. My good luck, I suppose."

Buffy Summers has posed:
Buffy Summers arches a brow at Jason, eyeing him curiously, "Wait, you were tailing those thugs? So...You an undercover cop?" she smiles, "Those we're some pretty impressive moves. I mean, I know almost all forms of martial arts, but those were..Pressure points you used, yeah?" that..Would be incredibly useful to know.

Phantasm (Drago) has posed:
Nick watches Nightwing quietly as the explanation is given to why he came into the hotel. "Well, that's no fun." Nick comments, giving a bit of a chuckle, "So, I take it if you're getting a drink it's going to be non-alocholic. Or you're looking for a way to depart without being seen."

He glances to Angel, "Did you grab anything non-alcoholic when you went for supplies?"

Thomas Raith has posed:
The sounds of a radio violating just about every noise ordinance can be heard playing. The song is Cowboy Casanova. Around the time Carrie Underwood is warning the lister that "He's a Devil in disguise, a snake with blue eyes that only comes out at night" and that "He'll give you feelings you don't wanna fight," Thomas white Porsche is parking with a screech outside the hotel. He knocks on the door and slips inside. "Hello? Buffy? Nick?" he calls out.

Angel has posed:
"Ah. I understand. It happens to the best of us "Jason". Well his good luck is our good luck. You are welcome, if Nick and Buffy vouch for you."A Angel blinks. "I can say, I'd love to get an 80s karaoke machine in here..." Angel pauses for a moment, as he grabs a pen on the desk, and jots down a note to himself, and probably to Cordie and Fred. "Great idea..."

Angel looks up, sniffs again, and nods at Buffy, listening to her describe Dick's moves. "Well. He's wearing a wig, so he might be undercover. I just think he doesn't want us to know his identity, to protect himself. I can respect that."

"Sorry Nick. Nothing non-alcoholic...I can check again?" Hearing the noice out front, Angel frowns. "Sounds like an awful racket..." A sigh. "Over here. Nick and Buffy are over here." Waving Thomas forward, Angel looks at the both of them. "Quite a party."

Nightwing has posed:
While still occasionally flicking his gaze towards the lobby to watch for any signs that his pursuers have followed him into the hotel, the blonde-haired man shifts on his stool a little to better face the others. "I'm afraid that I'm nothing so official," he admits wryly to Buffy's question about being an undercover cop. "Lets call me a... concerned citizen. One with a lot of specialized training," he suggests instead, dipping his head in acknowledgement when the blonde woman recognizes the technique. "I noticed that you two were more than competent at handling yourself that particular evening yourself," he points out in return.

As Angel spots the fact that he is in disguise that brow goes up again. He's been trained pretty well in that department and it's not often that his efforts are seen through so casually. Definitely something to keep in mind, but again he simply dips his head in acknowledgement. "Occupational hazard," he admits with a tight smile. "And please, don't go to any trouble on my behalf. If I can avoid a fight that's all I'm looking for at the mom-" he says, breaking off abruptly when the other man strolls in from the lobby, tensing for just a moment until realizing that he is not apparently one of the small gang that was trailing him.

Buffy Summers has posed:
Buffy Summers nods and smiles, "Oh riiight, I could SO see you singing to karaoke, Angel.." she chuckles, shaking her head. she peers back at Jason again, particularly I teresed in him it seems, "Concerned citizen, hmm?" she grins, "Guess you could say the same for me and my friends...Though I'd love to learn some of those pressure point techniques of yours sometime.."

She glances at the door, smiling warmly at Thomas, "Relax, he's a friend.." by the way she looks at him, he's definitely 'more than a friend'.

Phantasm (Drago) has posed:
"No real formal training." Nick replies giving a shrug "Just a rough childhood." He pauses. "Well." He amends, "Actually no- I've been picking it up a bit more with this group."

At Angel's offer to get something non-alcoholic, he shrugs, "I think that'll depend on what the new friend is wanting. I'm fine with beer or nothing."

Nick's brow raises as the extremely loud stereo manages to decimate whatever forms of sound proofing the lobby walls could provide. Hearing his name called, he turns his head, pausing to glance to Nightwing. "If you do need a discrete way out, don't ask him." He cautions lowly before finishing turning his body to greet the oncoming Raith with a smile and a wave.

Angel has posed:
Angel just nods at "Jason" not wanting to set him off. After all, his enhanced senses can pick up a lot about the man, but he was also respectful enough to just let his friends know, and move on from there. Distracted by Buffy, though, Angel looks up from handing out beer and says, "What? I can sing. Well, maybe not as good as some people, but I can carry a tune. Maybe. Not..." Angel smiles.

Thomas Buffy says...Angel takes in the new arrival, and shrugs. "Right Nick, I have a six pack of beer...or I can see if Wesley has a fruit juice or mineral water out back...?" He leaves it open, just in case.

Thomas Raith has posed:
Thomas Raith comes in and gives Buffy that same "More then friends smile". And looks around. He zeroes in on Angel and nods to the other man, offering his hand. "Buffy's told me allot about you, nice to finally put a face to the name," adding with a glance back at 'Jason', "Who's the guy in the wig?

Nightwing has posed:
The implication given now both by Buffy and Angel certainly piques his interest, insuring that Dick has something else to look into when he gets the chance. Sure, he has a few things on his plate at the moment what with the instability and unrest with the Bludhaven gangs, but keeping track of other local vigilantes usually pays off in the long run. Especially if some of them are... enhanced. Definitely something to investigate. Or maybe set Oracle on. Hmmmm.

"Got it. Well, I can certainly appreciate anyone who wants to do a little good in this world. Maybe we can get a little sparring time in sometime. It never hurts to change the routine and train with someone new. You can pick up all sorts of little tricks. And it keeps one from falling into the same patterns," 'Jason' notes with a nod for the blonde woman before shooting a wry glance towards Nick, the corners of his mouth twitching slightly. "I kinda gathered that, thanks. I don't suppose this place has a back door?" he asks politely.

As the matter of his disguise comes up with the newcomer, 'Jason' manages to avoid letting an exasperated sigh slip from him, simply dipping his head Thomas' way. "You can call me Jason. I'm an acquaintance of your friends."

Buffy Summers has posed:
Buffy Summers smiles at Jason, though she seems quite distracted by the new arrival, "Heh, sounds good, drop by the Magic a Box anytime, Jason..We got a little workout room in the back. By the way, I'm Buffy, nice to meet you.." she just chuckles at Angel, "Never said you can't sing, but I have never heard you sing before, figured you're too serious to even have fun.."

She smiles sweetly at Thomas, but out of respect for Angel, doesn't do much more than that, for now. "Angel, meet Thomas. Thomas, Angel." she just leaves it that, no need for awkward details.

Phantasm (Drago) has posed:
Nick looks over to the two vampires and turns to lean towards Nightwing, "Don't worry. It's a very good wig. You just happened to have met two guys with very strong sensitivites to stuff like this." Man. What are the odds they'd be in the same social circle?"

"Even if there wasn't, there'd be ways of getting you out. There'd have to be a back exit for this building to meet some form of code but..." He looks towards Angel, "Any doors that aren't hooked up to alarms?"

Thomas Raith has posed:
Thomas Raith offers the other Vampire his hand and nods. Doesn't try to crush the other man or anything, though he does move to stand near Buffy and lightly puts his arm around her waist. "Nice place you've got here, looks like it's got allot of History."

Angel has posed:
"Nice to meet you!" Angel takes Thomas's hand in his own, smiles at Buffy, and shakes it firmly once, and releases. "It does. A lot of history. As for our guest here. That is a good question." Angel frowns, and pushes a beer towards Thomas. Might as well make sure everyone gets one. "Sparring is good Jason."

Angel says, "I think that we can all teach each other a few things. I would love to see what Buffy was talking about - she mentioned you had some "moves" I think is the term nowadays?" Angel was unsure.

"Back door. Right over there." Angel nods towards the area in the back. "I use it myself sometimes. Perfectly concealed. I'm sure you could find it." Angel looks over at Buffy. "Well. Singing is not my strongest, but I try!" He tries not to chuckle. "Nick is right. Nope. No alarms. Which is something I need to fix..."

Nightwing has posed:
"I had a feeling," 'Jason' agrees with a smile for Nick. He has a pretty good handle on his skillset and plenty of experience to back it up. When someone sees through his disguise that easily there is usually some pretty advanced security technology in play, or something a little more extra-special. He's not exactly sure what he has stumbled into the middle of here, but clearly it is not a garden variety hotel. Nor are these garden-variety people. Very interesting indeed.

"I hold my own pretty well," the faux-blonde says to Angel rather modestly, giving a slight shrug of his shoulders. "I suspect that I would be just as interested in seeing what all of you can manage too," he freely admits before glancing back towards Buffy. "The Magic Box. Got it. I'll see if I can catch you there sometime in the near future," he promises before glancing around, dipping his head to those gathered around the bar. "Thanks for giving a guy a little refuge. And for not getting weird about my little deception. Even if it didn't really fool you at all," he notes drily, slipping off the stool.

Buffy Summers has posed:
Buffy Summers smiles, "Nice meeting you, Jason, good luck.." she's not sure who he's running from but, maybe not her business. She smiles and leans into Thomas, "How you been?" she murmurs, "Wanted to ask you about something but it can wait til later.."

Thomas Raith has posed:
As Angel heads out Thomas sighs a bit, leaning over and giving Buffy a soft tender kiss. "I'll see you both at the Lady later?" he asks with a smile, "Sasha is debuting that new song she's been taking about for weeks. If I have to suffer so do you two.

Phantasm (Drago) has posed:
"See you around." He says to Jason giving a bit of a smile, "Or not. Depending on the choice of attire."

Nick glances over to Thomas, "Is that something you should be saying of your featured singer? I'm assuming I'm coming as an audience member, not relief pianist."

Nightwing has posed:
With one last nod for the group, 'Jason' slips out through the back, making his way down to the fire exit and out the door. Taking a quick look away to make sure that no unexpected, prying eyes are waiting he begins trotting back towards the alley where the Nightbird is parked. Time to regroup and find another way to pursue his latest lead. But in the mean time... a hand goes to his ear. "Hey Babs? Can you do me a favor? Can you look into the Hyperion Hotel? And while you're at it, see what you can dig up about some place called the Magic Box. Some sort of establishment in Sunnydale I imagine..."

Buffy Summers has posed:
Buffy Summers smiles, returning Thomas' kiss and nods, "Sure, see you later..Take care." she waves to a Jason as he heads out, "interesting guy.." she mutters to Nick, "Wonder what's with the disguise..Vigilante perhaps?"

Phantasm (Drago) has posed:
Nick glances away, giving the two their moment of privacy. Instead, he watches Jason leave. Curious to what it was Jason was investigating.

Hearing Buffy's question, he looks back to the Slayer. "Or detective?" Nick offers up in theory. "Karrin's well versed too and she's PD. Maybe former military, second career perhaps? Or Something that involved a lot of training."

Thomas Raith has posed:
Thomas Raith smirks devilishly, "I have to. Otherwise she'll get a big head and then I will have to pay her what she is worth!" He grins and heads for the door. "Show starts at 8." he reminds them on his way out the door.

Buffy Summers has posed:
Buffy Summers hmms, "Could be, though he seemed way more secretive. And that wig? Is Jason even his real name?" she shrugs, "Well, at any rate, I'm sure we haven't seen the last of him. Cmon, think I'll have a drink before I head to the Lady. You?"

Phantasm (Drago) has posed:
Nick's eyes widen as the club owner's words regsiter to him. "THEN PAY HER WHAT SHE'S WORTH!" He snaps back, completely siding with the fellow musician on that one. He shakes his head, glancing to the spread of food and then to Angel apologetically. "Well," he states to Buffy, setting his hands on the bar as he shifts to his own feet."I've got a bit of a longer commute to get home to change into club appropriate attire. So, I'll see you at the show.."

He glances to Angel apologetically, "Another time, Angel."

Turning, he starts to head for the door.
