Cast of Characters: Dagger, Nightcrawler

Dagger has posed:
One half of the barely known super group called Cloak and Dagger is currently tucked away in the church, currently eating dinner in the form of a cup of steaming ramen. It's not much, but it will tide her over. Cloak is no where to be seen, most likely haunting the shadows of the city in search of prey. He has to feed himself in different ways.

Some music can be heard coming from a phone nearby, some light piano infused with jazz. Her blonde hair is pulled up behind her and she is wearing a pair of jeans and a chunky sweater to stay warm. In front of her is a weathered book of the bible, flipping through the pages with a bored expression on her face.

Nightcrawler has posed:
And that's when Tandy might -- or might not -- notice the BAMF! of a puff of noxious smoke, the accompanying sulfur and brimstone smell, and a voice states, in its German accent and charming tones:

"You know, if you need help, there are places to go--"

Kurt states, flipping in mid-air and landing in a crouch, behind Tandy.

He's wearing a light jacket today. Dark jeans, made to fit his strange legs, and a red-and-white striped shirt. He looks like pretty much an every-man -- aside from the pointed ears, the tail, the iridescent eyes, the fur, the hands and digigrade feet....

Dagger has posed:
Glancing over her shoulder at him, Dagger doesn't startle, 'much', now that she knows how he moves about. The smell is something she has a hard time getting used to. She shuffles about in her spot to face him, passing a smile as she blows a strand of blonde hair away from her eyes.

"Yeah? Where would you suggest two homeless superheroes go to besides a church?"

She puts the bible to the side, brushing her fingers along the cover for a moment. "How'er you doing? Long time no see. Kiiiinda missed you."

Pushing herself up to her feet, she holds her hand up to let her fingertips glow to give them a bit of light to talk to each other easier.

Nightcrawler has posed:
"If not for shelter or salvation, then at least for food." Kurt points out, and his tail comes around. It's holding a paper sack, offering it out to Tandy a moment as he gives his most charming smile.

"I have been hard at work, I assure you. Very boring, though with the uptick in 'dangerous vigilanteism', perhaps I should be spending more time in Bushwick administerring to the souls here."

Dagger has posed:
Reaching out to take the bag from him, Tandy offers him another smile, her cheeks flushed. "Well, this gives you an excuse to visit me." She rustles the bag open, peeking down into it examine the contents before she passes another grin to him.

"I feel like I should be doing something nice for you in return. I don't have much to give though. I have plenty of light if you ever just want to feel relaxed and unwind without putting any work into it."

She holds her hand out to him, her palm glowing and pulsing about her fingertips. "Your friends helped Cloak and I a few days ago to take down the rest of that gang and we were able to get more information. It meant a lot to us. Meant a lot to me."

Nightcrawler has posed:
THe bag has some things to make life easier! Trail mixes, bags of dried peaches, cherries and banana chips, protein bars in All Natural and Not Natural varieties, a bag of Smartfood Popcorn, and a couple bags of 'penny candy' mixes. A pack of baby wipes. Sunblock.

    Sunblock?

"I do not do nice things for any repayment, Tandy. It is the right thing to do. I cannot imagine the hardship you and Tyrone go through." Kurt replies, though he visibly edges back, just a touch, from the Light in her fingers.

And he's blushing, slightly. The skin inside his ears is darkening. "OH! Ah... no, no thank you, I have my own ways of unwinding, and I am always relaxed!" he gives a small smile, his tail drawing slowly back and forth.

Dagger has posed:
"It's like meditation. It just makes you feel refreshed. Like having an amazing nap and waking up from it knowing you don't have to go to work. It won't hurt you." Tandy says as she drops her hand, letting the glow filter away with a flicker. "I'd never hurt you." She says as if to try and assure him.

She takes the items out of the bag and heads over to place them in a small cubby with a few other things such as bottled water and non-perishables. Her lips are a full smile.

"Wipes are a treasure. The priest has a shower here in the back but I do not like standing in the stall with my bare feet. It's not always clean."

Her blue eyes glance over to him, full of life, happiness, a rare emotion she displays for a change.

"So, do you go to the mutant club often? The one Sam goes to?"

Nightcrawler has posed:
"... sometimes even our best intentions go awry." Kurt replies, his smile still present, but as the glow fades, he does reach out with those tow, long fingers, and brushes the back of his knuckles against her hand.

"Ah, yes, I grew up on the move -- I am envious now of those wipes! They are everywhere!" Kurt softly crows, and he catches the look of happiness. It did him good to see her happy.

"Oh, Evolution? No, no, a bit of a younger crowd hangs out there, and I saw far too many.... ah... young people that I know, the one time I was there." he replies.

Dagger has posed:
"It wouldn't go 'awry'. It's the same light that I use to calm Cloak down when he is having a mood." When he touches her hand, Dagger finds herself flushed as her fingers turn to gently glide along his, curiously feeling the three digits and how they're formed.

"Cloak is lucky in the way that he doesn't need to eat, or bathe, or .. sleep. But not so much that he has become a living shadow. Pros and cons, I suppose. Mostly cons.. if you ask him."

Giving him a wry grin, she says, "So, you wouldn't go dancing with me if I asked you to? I like going there. It makes me feel free. I used to be a ballet dancer in my old life. I studied for years, since I was a child. I was /good/ too. Dancing at the club makes me feel young again."

Nightcrawler has posed:
"Ah, I can sympathize with Cloak, then. To be unable to enjoy some of the simple joys in life? How awful." he frowns a moment, lips giving a little twitch as he considers a few things, and then draws his gaze back up. Tandy might notice that he does have pupils, they are just a shade darker than the rest ofhis eyes -- but *just* barely.

"Well, I mean --" he begins, and he rubs the back of his head a moment. "You would not be ashamed of being seen in public with a cruel mosmter such as myself? And what if I cannot dance?" he jokes.

Dagger has posed:
"I thought you were the amazing and handsome Nightcrawler. Surely you can dance. You are an acrobat, yes?" Tandy says with a laugh, eyes rolling upwards and to the side. "Why would I be ashamed of being seen with you? There is nothing wrong with the way you look. It's exotic." She says assuringly.

"I can't dance with Cloak and he just watches, sulking from the shadows as I dance by myself. I really would like a partner to share the music with, even if it's just a few hours." Her hand glides along his, giving it a squeeze before she lets it go.

With that, she makes a broad leap forward, legs stretched out in a classic ballet move, then twirls upwards on her toes upon one foot.

Nightcrawler has posed:
"Well I am! And I am, and I am--" Kurt stammers a moment, and he rubs the back of his neck a moment, caught in a moment where he could teleport away, or be quite daring -- and with a grin he steps forward, drawing himself into Dagger's space, and brings one hand up to her hand to very, very gently hold it against his palm, his other hand drawn down to hold against her calf.

"Ah, so you studied classic dance, ja?" he gives a toothy grin.

Dagger has posed:
Giving him a smile, her fingers wrap about his as he looks over at him with her dancing blue eyes. Tandy says, "I have! Ballet. My entire life. I was /good/. One of the best. I had a promising future in dance before they did this to me."

As her leg drops down, gliding along his palm until it would settle against her hip, she smiles, curling her other hand around his shoulders. She stares into the bright yellow eyes of the demon, tilting her head to one side. "Does this mean you will go dancing with me then?"

Nightcrawler has posed:
"Ah, perhaps if there was a club where not so many of my former students find themselves..." Kurt admits quietly, his heart thudding a bit in his chest, as he gives Dagger a twirl, his hand drawing politely to her waist.

"There are quite a few dancers I know. All of them fearless and fearsome both! You fit right in." he lilts with a more playful grin.

Dagger has posed:
"Are you too shy to cut loose in front of your friends?" Tandy's lips twitch upwards a bit into an amused manner. She twirls beneath his hand as he lifts it, once more facing him as her free hand rests against his chest. She can feel hear heart pounding as well, excited and curious. Though she may be an angel of vengence on a mission, she finally feels alive for the first time in years.

"Maybe one day I can meet them and we can battle on the dance floor." She says as she starts to sway with him, humming lightly to herself. "Doesn't Evolution have a night that kids can't come?"

Nightcrawler has posed:
Kurt gives a smile, taking a half-step back for his poor knees, and gives a small shrug, his tail drawing up behind him as he shifts his weight, leading Tandy in a slow, but graceful, if abbreviated, waltz.

"Evolution welcomes everyone, at any time... I think. It has been quite some time since it opened, and I know several of my students can be found there, either performing or.... eh. Performing in a different manner!" he smiles. "I do not often partake in ze nightlife -- too many other tasks."

Dagger has posed:
"Well, we can find another place for us to go dancing at, though I'd just want you to feel comfortable." Tandy says as she moves along with him in the dance, letting him lead. She doesn't make too much of a show of it, not looking to upstage the fuzzy elf in something fun and light.

"So what do you like to do for fun since the nightlife isn't your thing? Besides being a superhero." She gives another twirl, her body moving gracefully to the music that only they can hear.

Nightcrawler has posed:
"Ah... I read a lot? Study, meditate, on occasion I pretend I'm a pirate." he jokes, half-seriously. "I used to teach, but I am semi-retired -- but still, students enjoy asking me questions, so I try to answer the best that I can. And yourself, Tandy? What do you o when you are not quoting Scripture and punishing the wicked?" he inquires, gently moving to dip Tandy back.

Dagger has posed:
Curling her arms about his neck as she is dipped, Tandy's body arches along with his, her grin turning upwards. "You like to pretend that you're a pirate?" She asks, curiousity filling her voice now as her brows lift upwards once she is pulled back up to him. "Tell me more about this. I'm curious." She sounds genuinely interested as she sways with him, leaning in to place her cheek agianst his shoulder. Her arms slide down from his neck to wrap about his waist, humming to herself softly to keep up a beat.

Nightcrawler has posed:
"What? You want to hear about my fascination with old pirate movies?" Kurt laughs, drawing her back up as his waist gets hugged, and his ears eem to darken a bit more, the blue fuzzy one blushing, though his tail betrays his interest.

"You first ,though. Surely you have hobbies? Hopes and dreams? Embarrassing details that are most assuredly not going to be brought up later?" he jokes.

Dagger has posed:
Hopes and dreams. Two words she threw away a long time ago once she was held down and injected with poison that turned her into this. Tandy thinks about this as she sways with him, tightening the hold about his waist as she gives a lick of her dreams. "Hobbies? So .. besides putting on a skin tight leotard and leaping around roofs throwing light knives at kidnappers and drug dealers? Ballet was my life. I will admit that it ruled me since I was four years old, all the way up a few years ago."

"My mother is a semi-famous model, who traveled a lot and was never home. My dad.." She trails off. "He was busy with work. So, all I had was dancing. I danced and danced and danced, hoping that my mother would take notice and see me. She never did." She rubs her cheek against his shoulder gently. "So, besides dancing, I wrote poetry. I did gymnastics. I wanted to make sure every leap could be the highest, every landing I would stick."

Then, just to tease him, she says, "You have to be very flexible to make it in this business. Ballet."

Nightcrawler has posed:
"Ah. I grew up traveling." Kurt replies, gently, feeling her cheek rub, and he gives a soft breath out.

"It is not easy, with a mother who does not notice you exist." he adds quietly, "It must have been very hard on you, to do all of that work for her."

Dagger has posed:
"Well, she paid for it, I figure I may as well put the effort into every penny." Tandy says as her chin tilts upwards a bit to stare into his face, tightening her hold about his waist for a moment. "It was really hard. She's the reason why I ran away from home in the first place, just to end up in this mess. It was childish to act out. I was just desperate for her attention."

She offers him a small smile, curious. "So you are from Germany. Where else have you traveled about to? I would love to hear about some of your adventures."

Nightcrawler has posed:
"Oh, a little here and there. I toured Europe as part of a circus act, based in Munich." he states, noncommital answers as he shrugs his shoulders a little bit. It is only their second meeting, after all!

He eases back a little with a little smile. "I have traveled to many places, so many that I cannot name them all. Some I do not even remember their names, if I had known them. Probably some even I cannot pronounce."

Dagger has posed:
"I used to travel a bit when I was younger. I went to France once. Paris. For one of my mother's photo shoots." Tandy says as she gives him a smile, swaying left to right in his arms as her hands settle a bit higher on the small of his back.

"So, this pirate thing of yours.." She trails off. ".. How can I get in on it with you?" She says as she props her chin on his chest, looking up at him.

Nightcrawler has posed:
"Oh. ah.. well... as it happens..." Kurt stammers a moment, and he gives a milttle laugh. "Ah, you would ask me all of my secrets on our second meeting, frauline?" he asks quietly, his tail drawing up. "I watch many old Errol Flynn movies. Very dashing. Quite romantic, in an old-fashioned sense!"

Dagger has posed:
"I like secrets, especially fun ones like this. So, how about we get togeher and watch some Errol Flynn together? You can teach me some of your swashbuckling ways? Annnd.. maybe I can teach you something as well. Like ballet." Tandy gives him a brighter smile as she leans in closer. Her eyes roam behind him towards his tail as it flicks about and lifts upwards. She can't help the grin that spreads along her lips. "So, let's get old fashioned and romantic then? I have a laptop and it plays videos."

Nightcrawler has posed:
Kurt pauses at that, and his flush deepens slightly, and he lifts one hand, places it on Tandy's head, and he pats her lightly. "Is that what the kids used to call 'an offer of netflix and chill'?" he inquires, and he takes a half step back again from her. "Which I could not accept, not here, in the church."

Dagger has posed:
"You can't watch pirate movies in a church?" Tandy asks as her brows raise upwards at him, looking incredulous. "So where would you like to watch movies at then? Cloak and I usually hotel jump when we need a real place to stay at. Find a vacant room, teleport into it and shower, eat, sleep, then move on the next night." Her body sways along with him again, giving him a grin. "I didn't think pirating would be such an unholy idea to the cloth though, mister Wagner."

Nightcrawler has posed:
"Oh. OH. I thought you were... uh... I thought you --" he trails off, embarrassed about where HIS mind went.

"How improper of me. That shall have to go on confession." he admits, and doesn't try to illuminate where his mind went.

"In actuality, I had come to check up with you and Tyrone. To ee if you needed anything. After all... ah... we are in this together, ja?"

Dagger has posed:
"You thought... that..." Tandy trails off, giving him a playful side glance. She slides a hand upwards, brushing her fingers along his fuzzy cheek before she leans in to press a kiss to the opposite one.

"It's okay. I won't rule the idea out. You -are- the handsome, and amazing Nightcrawler after all."

She slides her hands around to take his in hers, giving him a smile. "That sounds nice. Being in this together. I really like the sound of that. Being able to trust again." Her eyes stare into his for a long moment, her lips twitching upwards. "So, hotel and my laptop?"

Nightcrawler has posed:
He got a kiss! Nightcrawler gives a quiet murmur in German, clearly somewha embarrassed, voulnerable, but he gives a small smile, his hands giving a squeeze for a brief moment.

"I will not lie and say there is no temptation, but I am not quite ready for such an invitation... and I /do/ have a meeting first thing tomorrow." he admits lamely.

Dagger has posed:
"I'm still only talking about watching movies and pirates, Kurt." Tandy laughs as she squeezes his hands back. "I want to get to know you more. I like you. You're cool. Real."

Her fingers brush along the tops of his, giving him a warm smile. "Tomorrow after the meeting?"

Nightcrawler has posed:
Kurt smiles, "Meet me on the steps, tomorrow evening. I shall bring the popcorn." he replies gently, and then, with the udden sweep of air rushing to fill the void he's left, and the stench of sulfur, Kurt teleports away!
