Catching Up, Shady Style
Date of Scene:	24 May 2020
Location:	Crew Habitat - Legion Cruiser
Synopsis:	Shady and Brin catch up.

Shadow Lass has posed:
Shady had just finished her mid-afternoon practice, and was 'celebrating' with a shake. Of course, shake has very different meaning to her. Unlike Brin. "Hey, let me guess, midafternoon nap?"

Timber Wolf has posed:
Brin's only pretending to be asleepp, really. It's more 'my costume needs to dry off' napping, and he sits up/ Brin's in a t-shirt and jeans and socks. yes. Socks as he looks over to Shady/ "I wasn't asleep. I was resting my head" he explains...yeah right, sure, Brin, sure.

Brin looks over to Shady and shuffles a little in his seat. "What're you up to anyhow? I thought you were going to do your mid afternoon practice or did I rest through it?" he asks finally, slowly getting up.

Shadow Lass has posed:
Shady shakes her head, "Yep. You were, er, 'closing your eyes' while I worked out." She chuckles. "What I don't understand, is how can you sleep so long? Really. I don't understand. On Talok VIIYou were, we kept to a maximum sleep of six hours, most of the time, less. How do you do it?"

Timber Wolf has posed:
That's a tough question for Brin to answer. Because, is such a bad answer really...

"It's part of my makeup. On Zoon, I slept little thanks to fights but...." Brin shrugs, standing still. "I sleep more here knowing it's safe" he adds looking pleased at that fact. It's safe. "Plus it's relaxing too. If I was on Earth I wouldn't sleep much but it's relaxing up here" Brin nods thoughtfully, watching Shady. "Okay I'll bite. What was it like on your planet?" he asks, sounding genuinely curious. See. He's a curious Zoonian, which is both good and bad, since he's not punched anything yet today. And....doesn't want to yet.

Shadow Lass has posed:
She listens, to his reasons, a frowns on her face. "That I don't understand. While we might still be safer, there still is danger. And it is our duty to stop it."

But he brings up her past. "It was different? All of us has some training, but my life was different? I was always going to be a warrior." Or Shadow Champion, but she doesn't often explain that part of her bringing up. "It was a hard life. But I didn't know any better."

Timber Wolf has posed:
Brin listens nodding slowly. "It's dangerous but there's more than just us however" Brin says settling back into his seat again. "If it was just us then I'd sleep less, but we have all the Legion to help protect our home, right?" he asks and watches Shady for a moment. "Alright" Brin begins watching Shady again. "So" he says and flexes his fingers "So we each protect our home, right? I mean, I can sleep knowing we all pull our weight. I don't have a shift today so I can relax"

Shadow Lass has posed:
"Yes, that part is true," Shady agrees with that. "Every time we win, that one less enemy that Talok VIII faces. But the rest the people also matters. If I can help them, then don't I have an obligation? Sometimes I think, we are never going to be like everybody else, but maybe if I can make so the some else lives peacefully, never having to see what I do, shouldn't I?"

Timber Wolf has posed:
"That's a hard question to answer. We save people yes" Brin admits. That's not what he's hesitant on. He's got zero knowledge bar the omnicomp on her planet. Even so she's got him thinking...

"Yes but should we really be like everyone else? We are the Legion, we protect and help people, we need to stand out in order to do that, right?" Brin asks pulling up images of Earthlings on his omnicomp, "We're not like these people but we are able to help them. If we were from Earth we'd/..I don't know, not be able to help or have our ship or each of our team?" he asks.

Shadow Lass has posed:
"No, we would not be able to," Shady agrees. "I like who I am. But it doesn't mean I am envious. But I'm wouldn't know how to live like them. However, these humans seem to have superheroes without us."

Timber Wolf has posed:
"True but we have our home, and we protect people" Brin nods keenly. "We protect people, if we're not like other people, is that such a bad thing however?" he asks and smiles looking pleased, then over to Shady again.

Shadow Lass has posed:
"No," Shady agrees with a small smile. "We're not like other people, and that is okay."
