Wednesday Water Day
Date of Scene: 27 May 2020
Location: Swimming Pool - Xavier's School
Synopsis: Some students learn that the stuffy, serious oldtimers are actually capable of smiling - and pranking back - when off the clock.
Cast of Characters: Phoenix, Aerin Mifflin, Cyclops, Wolverine, Shadowcat, Firefly (Barrows), Nightingale

Phoenix has posed:
Today is for relaxing, that's what she told herself. No work for at least si-- four hours, just relaxing. It may not be properly summer yet, but the day is hot enough to warrant even a slightly chilly pool. Jean is in the pool proper, lounging on a float that sits partly sunken into the water to actually keep you cool while still catching sun. She's wearing a more modest attire given the school grounds, a high neck crimson tank with a black mesh front panel, and a wrap tankini bottom in white with a few gold palm leaves printed across it. With dark gold sunglasses on and her hair floating loose around her, she looks the picture of relaxation. Probably also now the picture adorning a few phone wallpapers, but that tends to come with the territory.

Music is playing through the speakers carefully blended into the scenery, just a generic local radio station playing "today's hits" - whatever kids are listening to these days. It's background noise. The towels are freshly put out for the season, there's your expected assortment of floats and noodles, and umbrellas are up to provide shade.

Aerin Mifflin has posed:
Aerin steps into the pool area ready for swimming. She is wearing a black one-piece swimsuit wit han open back, a pair of black purple sandals, and a black backpack with purple highlights tucked under all that long purple metallic hair.

Unstrapping the backpack she unzips it and takes out a long purple beach towel and lays it out against one of the pool chairs, lays down the backpack. Taking off her glasses she puts them on the chair. After a few moments metal flies out like several strings of metal from the inside of the backpack and swirls around her bathing suit. Over the course of about a minute it threads and melds together until the metal completley covers the swimsuit making it a strong metallic shiny purple instead of black - the same sheen and color as her hair. She pulls up her hair and yanks out a purple bow tied at the end that kept it in place, tossing it next to the backpack.

Cyclops has posed:
Having been 'summoned' by Jean earlier in the day in an attempt to relax and unwind, Scott finally finishes his work and got changed. Heading out into the backyard, he himself is wearing a pair of pink and blue striped swimming trunks that has a throwback pattern to the 80's Miami summer colors. Bare chested, his lean, but muscular frame at least has a decent amount of tan to it. With a towel flipped over his shoulder and sandals slapping against the ground, he ambles over to a lawn chair that Jean would have claimed, pulling another next to it.

Stepping out of his sandals and placing the towel out along the chair so not to burn himself later, he gives a bit of a stretch to pop the joints in his body. Instead of sunglasses, he has a wrap around pair of ruby goggles. No need to laser blast a kid or two out of the pool by accident.

"You look comfortable, Jean."

There is a smile in his voice as he steps to the pool, taking a few steps into the shallow end to test the temperature. "Hello, Aerin." He calls over to the student as well as he steps in deeper into the water, giving a bit of a shiver.

Wolverine has posed:
Having the same idea as the rest or maybe he caught the smell of coconut butter lotion warming up on the breeze. Either way, he's heading to the pool. Having grabbed his rolling cooler full of beer, his faithful lawn chair, a few cigars, and this month's issue of the Hockey News in hand he leaves his cabin and heads towards the main building.

Logan isn't there to show off. He's gone as simple as anyone can. Wearing a pair of simple blue swim trunks with white trim, a red Magnum PI style hula shirt, A white ball cap with a flaming 'C' over the brim with a pair of aviators over his eyes and a pair of two-dollar flip flops on his feet.

By the time Logan reaches the pool he already has one of his cigar's lit and in between his teeth. Finding a comfortable spot on the far side of the pool under one of its many umbrellas. Logan unfold his chair and gets comfortable.

Phoenix has posed:
"I am absolutely comfortable." Jean replies to Scott in a lazy drawl as she floats along on an absent current at the whim of the skimmers. "The enjoyment level of pools is drastically increased when you don't have to take care of them. Just fair warning, it's still a bit cold. Heaters haven't caught up yet." But he seems to have found that out.

"Aerin, hello! How's everything going, settling in alright?" She puts a finger to the bridge of her glasses to pull them down slightly, looking towards the metallic student as she stakes out a spot. The same hand is then raised, giving a lazy finger-waggle wave towards Logan as he and his caravan of vices gets comfortable.

Shadowcat has posed:
Kitty's settled in and is relaxing in a chair too, she's dressed for the pool, whenever she feels like it that is. Looking over the pool, Kitty wriggles a hand in a wave wrapped in a towel, and settles back into the chair with a quiet yawn and stretches a little. Lockheed's playing dodge the wet spots on his way to Kitty and is watching everyone. Kitty gives Lockheed, in cat guise (hey thanks holo inducer) a nod. "Hey you" she smiles, though that's more to everyone /and/ Lockheed.

Aerin Mifflin has posed:
Aerin looks uncomfortable for a few moments looking Logan's way and staring at him. She squints her eyes..no, that doesn't really help. She can see him better until he comes a bit closer. What..the hell? Is he..he's not wearing metal? She senses a heck of a lot of metal from him. She purses her lips as she hasn't had this kind of sense before. What..in the world?

She's taken a bit out of her uncomfortable haze when she's addressed. "Oh, hello Mr. Summers. Ms. Grey. I suppose yes, I am settling in as well as could be expected. And I'm SCUBA trained, so I'm used to colder water. Though usually I prefer an insulated diving suit." A awkward stare at the living embodiment of Magnum PI - hairy, 80's shirt, 80's beer, and 80's cigars. Yes..he's like a hairier Burt Reynolds alright. But that sense from him isn't something that puts her ill at ease. Is her ability messing with her? Mmmph.

"I suppose I should come visit you sometime about some concerns from a fellow student. I don't believe they pose a threat to others per se, but definately to himself perhaps. Though I don't know him very well."

Aerin steps up to the pool slipping off her sandals and holds her nose, closes her eyes and hops in with her legs together to make a minimal splash about at the midway point of the pool. She stands and surfaces waving out her hair a bit, which floats in the pool, all 6 foot or so of it and shines like the purple metal that it is.

Firefly (Barrows) has posed:
The sounds of wings flapping can be heard as an armored figure lands. The figure wears what looks like templar armor made of light and energy, shining brightly as he has a set of eight wings on his back which spread out as he lands. Slowly the light wings and armor fades, revealing a teenager in a suit. He then looks about the various people and smiles. "I hope I am not intruding?" He asks curiously as he looks to Logan. He has seen him about the school but never officially met him, being told he was a combat instructor and named logan.

Cyclops has posed:
"That much is true." Scott chuckles as he pushes himself forward through the water, easing himself to Jean's floating pool mattress. "A pool is always better when one doesn't have to clean it themselves." There is a glance given over his shoulder as her tracks her eyes, looking over towards Logan and his manly ensemble. "Not going to join us, Logan?" He calls over to his teammate.

He lifts a hand upwards to wave to Kitty as well, then glances over to Aerin with a concerned look on his face. His brows pinch a bit before he looks upwards to Josiah. "You're not interrupting at all." He says.

Shadowcat has posed:
Kitty returns the wave again as she grins, looking over the pool. She wiggles her feet as if saying hey, I'll jump in when I'm good and ready. Which to be fair, she's lazing around...so it's one of those yeah when she's good and ready things.

Kitty gives Josiah a nod and looks to Josiah with a wave too.

Wolverine has posed:
By now Logan is on his third beer and is deeply engaged with his magazine. He's quite content with the moment at hand. As he starts to turn the page he can't help but get the feeling he's being watched. Witha single finger on the bridge of his aviators, he pulls them down and looks around, even gives the air one of his customary sniffs. Nothing. Until Scott barks at him.

"Nope! Swim yes. But you know damn well I tread water like a one-legged dog with all this adamantium in me." Logan replies as he shakes his head and goes back to reading.

Upon finishing one article he reaches into his cooler for another beer. As he rummages he gets an idea and pulls out a second one. Looking up he wiggles the second beer in Jeanie's direction. What this? He's sharing? He doesn't share his beer often if at all, but when he does he makes a point to do so on occasion, especially when it's a hot ginger.

Phoenix has posed:
Of course there's student troubles. Jean slowly slides the golden sunglasses glasses back up on her face as she briefly closes her eyes. And there's Logan with the clutch beer. It may not have an umbrella and a salt rim, but it seems like she's grateful for it to be there anyway. With a grateful smile given towards Logan, she raises a hand and the beer floats free of his hand in a nimbus of rose light to float her direction.

"If someone here is a danger to themselves, it's a risk to everyone." She says in a measured tone as she sits herself up slightly in the float, though being as it's partly submerged that isn't an easy feat. "And if there's a student who is facing some trouble, then here's not where I need to be. Is this something we need to speak about in private?" No doubt she's aware of Kitty and Josiah as she quickly tips her head to catch them in the corner of her eye, but for the moment she's focused on Aerin.

Shadowcat has posed:
Kitty's pretending to be asleep. In reality? Just shading her eyes and relaxing some. Shaking her head Kitty finally gets out of her chair and slips into the water with a leap (no sense phasing)...

See. Kitty's enjoying this, she's not butting into Jean's conversation, instead paddling over to find herself a spot that works and lets her just stay there and enjoy the pool.

Firefly (Barrows) has posed:
Josiah smiles to Aerin and he moves to a chair by the pool. He takes his shoes and socks off and dips his feet into the pool. He takes his suit jacket off and sets it aside as he remains silent and watches the group of people.

Aerin Mifflin has posed:
Aerin shakes her head, her obscenely long shiny metal hair making ripples under the water around her as she brings her attention to Jean. "It's a private matter as it's not something that should be spread about openly. There's no imminent danger. I've had an at-length discussion of my observations with another student and we are trying to work on ways to help him. There are certain things we as fellow students can do and should do, however there are things that professionals need to handle as well, and that is where I think your expertise will come into use. So when there is an opportunity we should discuss."

Aerin is pretty even-tempered. She's not monotone at all, she just is rather reigned in on going too far emotional. She has emotions, she just hides them. Does her best to control them so they don't boil to the surface, since that affects her area around her.

She kind of wishes she had brought a beach ball. She rests her hands on the edge of the pool, floating out across it to kick her feet, swimming in place

Shadowcat has posed:
Kitty could cheat and phase, but where's the fun in that, huh? Kit Kat's putting the effort in, swimming in place, as she's enjoying the pool for what it is, a chance to relax and enjoy things, an impromptu meetup. Which is good for everyone, as Kitty is smiling, gently, she's actually smiling, enjoying this.

"So what's everyone up to?" she asks with a nod, the sound of water being treaded coming from her.

Cyclops has posed:
"Can't even have an hour of peace to ourselves without student drama." Scott sighs out heavily to Jean as he bobs along the water next to her on the floating raft. With Logan floating a beer over to the red head, an amused smirk toys along his lips as he levels his eyes at the Canadian. "Didn't get me one?"

Laying his arms on the raft and crossing them, he makes sure not to topple it with his weight. "Unless something is about to blow up right this moment, I think we can just enjoy ourselves. We don't get a lot of these moments."

Firefly (Barrows) has posed:
"I got to meet a person from louisanna the other day. She came to the cookout my family's church held in mutant town." Josiah says as he wiggles his toes in the pool. He then looks to Logan and the others and he chuckles at Scott. "I try and keep my drama to myself." He says with a shrug.

Wolverine has posed:
Again Logan pulls his shades down by the bridge and stares at Scott. He's quiet till he slides them back up using a middle finger. Yup hes being the typical 80's cool badboy jerk. "Nope! Sorry Slim, you just don't have the required 'assets ' for a beer." he says with a smirk. "Kitty!? Want a beer?" he asks in a yell as he starts to smile slightly.

Shadowcat has posed:
"You held a cookout? So that's how you practise for cooking then?" Kitty asks Josiah and looks amused teasing him, as she carries on treading water. "So come on. What did you cook?" she adds making her way to the side of the pool, listening keenly to everyone, giving Logan a raised eyebrow look then to Scott and Jean as Kitty starts climbing out of the pool. Why not relax in her chair again?

Phoenix has posed:
"You know I am utterly incapable of not worrying. It's why he left me in charge. It's a dubious honor." Jean says quietly down to Scott over the beer's rim, before she holds out a hand to mentally liberate another beer from the cooler, letting it float past Logan's nose before being delivered to Scott. There's a quiet tsk from her, but she learned awhile ago to let the two have their jabs at one another - at least until someone is bleeding.

"Alright, Aerin, if it's not absolutely critical then our guidance counselor should be able to help. She should be who you speak to before other students for concerns and advice like that. If there's concerns regarding a student's behavior or well-being, then that's what staff is for." She's not entirely scolding the metallic girl, but there is a thread of weariness to her voice. She turns to look towards the woman with the cat-shaped dragon. "Kitty, later, care meeting with Aerin here and finding out what's going on? Of course if you decide it needs my hand, then just let me know."

Firefly (Barrows) has posed:
"Gumbo, Jambayala, Crawfish and beignats. The hardest part of cooking that stuff is getting the materials. We arent in louisanna." Josiah says as he looks to Aerin. "You must be a new student. I am Josiah Barrows." He says as he turns to Logan. "I need to learn how to better fight. Shannon said you are probably the best combatant here, so it is best to learn from you." He says calmly.

Aerin Mifflin has posed:
Aerin calls out as she swims 'against the wall' "Of course. I'll talk with Ms Pride when an opportunity presents. The other student just happens to know him more than I do so I was looking for a second opinion."

Cyclops has posed:
Taking the beer that Jean floats over, Scott has a bit of a triumphant grin on his face. He cracks it open, then brings it to his lips to take a seat. "Just keep your hands off those assets." He says, shooting one across the bow back at him. As he listens to Jean, he gives a nod of his head in agreement, giving a glance over towards Kitty. Reaching out with his hand, he brushes his fingers along Jean's hair, moving it away from the water so that it doesn't get too wet. Tangles are nasty.

As Josiah asks Logan on how to fight, his brows raise upwards as bit over his red goggles. He casts another look towards Logan, giving him a wry grin. "Ring of Pain?" He calls over, taking another sip of his beer.

Wolverine has posed:
Hearing Josiah ask him that he would like him to teach the kid to fight causes him to smirk. "Oh yeah. Ring of Pain." Logan answers Scott as he looks back to Josiah. "Trust me, kid, it's a very educational program. Not many get to see it and you are sworn to secrecy at what you see. But I suggest you bring a mop and bucket." Logan opens another beer and drinks with a smile. Is he smiling? You should worry when he smiles.

Nightingale has posed:
There's a ruffling sound not too terribly far behind Logan, and a light chuckle. A familiar winged figure is there, and holy crow, is she dressed for summer. Shannon's finally ditched the one-piece and opted for a relatively modest bandeau-style bikini instead. Of course, what is meant to be covered is done so in decent fashion, in a brilliant red-and-white hibiscus print. Her hair is left loose and long, save for the thin glacier-blue braid on the left side of her face, with its three little silver beads.

"Oh lordy. Circle of Pain, huh? He's not kidding about the mop and bucket, you know." There's the faintly-arched brow, of course, and a quirky half-smile, but the healer-in-training seems anything /but/ intimidated.

Phoenix has posed:
"Perfect." Jean says to Aerin from where she sits upright on her pool float, which is no longer floating freely for some reason but holding place, always seeming to turn just slightly so Jean can track who she was speaking with.

As she tunes back in to the talk going on between Scott, Logan, and Josiah, the redhead mostly stifles an amused laugh for all her eyes are bright with it. "Been ages since I went at it down there, but I'll leave this round to you." She hoist-tips the beer in her hand towards Logan like a gladiator's salute. "I'll watch and escort anyone out who starts losing their color. That isn't for the faint of heart, but... mm." She gives a brief half shrug as she trails off, drowning whatever she was about to say with beer.

Aerin Mifflin has posed:
Aerin dips under the water and starts swimming rather well. She's pretty fast, using her powers on her metal-laden one piece swimsuit to help assist her as she swims laps.

Wolverine has posed:
Logan hears Shannon and starts to quickly hush her. "Shh shh shh! The Ring is sacred. What is seen in the Circle stays in the Circle." With a stern nod that says 'I have spoken.' he goes back to reading his magazine, while peeking over the edge to take in the views from time to time.

Firefly (Barrows) has posed:
Josiah smiles as he sees Shannon. He stands and gathers his jacket and shoes. He moves to shannon and kisses her hand. "I need to head out. HAve fun." He says as he begins to head out.

Nightingale has posed:
Shannon just chuckles, grinning at miss Grey. She looks about to say something else, but Logan's gruff, growling voice is sufficient to silence her; she gives a knowing nod and a smile. Too, she draws her hand away from Josiah as he attempts to kiss it.

Taking a few good steps back from the edge of the pool, Shannon goes running at the water, letting out a whoop of laughter as she leaps into the air, curling up into a ball with wings. Her aim is, thankfully, for a part of the deep end clear of people, for safety's sake. However, if anybody happens to be in the 'splash zone', they could possibly be in for a dousing!

Cyclops has posed:
"It's definitely not for the faint of heart." Scott says with a solemn nod of his head, taking another sip as well. "But he is the best at what he does." He says with an amused grin, glancing over to Logan as his brows lift once more over his red goggles.

"Good afternoon, Shannon." He trails off at the interaction between the two students, glancing off after the boy for a moment before he looks towards the winged blonde.

"Hm."

He murmurs to himself, passing along something quietly to Jean through her passive mind-link, then takes another long pull of his beer to finish it off. When he gets splashed, he chuckles to himself, wiping a hand along his face and over the top of his head ruffle his hair into place.

Shadowcat has posed:
Kitty watches, a slight smirk on her face as she's tempted to ask what all that was about, but isn't sticking her nose in....not yet at least. The smirk was for Shannon running and diving, though the whole Shannon/Josiah thing gets a raised eyebrow...and maybe she needs to sit down with both of them seperately and figure it out but she's got a guess what went on.

Kitty settles back on her chair and has a look that all but screams nah, I'll deal with this later...

Phoenix has posed:
While she may not have Scott's affinity for laser eyes, the look Jean slants towards the interaction between Shannon and Josiah borders on a good mimicry. Empaths gonna empath. The look is reined in a half second later and she says pleasantly as if ignorant of the whole situation, "Good afternoon, Shannon." She'll say once the girl's gotten a chance to surface.

Since water's now flying, Jean takes the opportunity to slide herself off the float and into the water, wary of fouling the last of her beer which is drank on her way to the side of the pool. "And that he is. A team works around their specialties." The empty can is set down before she plants hands on the edge of the pool and hoists herself out of the water.

Nightingale has posed:
Shannon giggles as she surfaces, her hair plastered to her head and making her look like nothing more than a drowned rat. Her wings are, however, oddly dry, despite being half-submerged. "Good afternoon, miss Grey... mr. Summers." She grins at them both, but particularly at Jean. Something has her rather excited, she positively radiates it. "You're not gonna believe what happened the other day," she offers, fairly bubbling over. "Would you think I actually had to heal someone?" Wait. And she wasn't in the medbay?!

Oh yes, a team worked on their specialties. But right now, hers was making mischief. She grins over at Logan, bringing her wings back across the surface of the water with an impish look. Uh-oh!

Cyclops has posed:
As he pushes through the water after Jean, Scott waits for her rise first, giving another grin as the red haired firebird pulls herself out. As always, his breath is taken away. Once he plants his hands on the edge of the pool, he hikes himself up, water pouring off his body before he gives an arch of his back to pop the joints. He heads over to their chairs, reaching down to grab a towel, then wraps it around Jean's shoulders, giving them a bit of a rub with his hands before he retrieves his own.

Glancing over to Shannon, he gives her a grin. "Starting to get more control over your powers, huh? Congratulations. That's great news. I knew it'd happen one day. Progress is a wonderful feeling." As he wraps the towel around his waist, he pulls his wet hair back, then glances over towards Logan. "We're probably getting some dinner later if you want to join us. Steaks."

Wolverine has posed:
Logan stops reading his magazine. The last article was a bit contrived and had left him not to sure of the 2028 season. Rolling up the periodical he sets it aside and goes for another beer.

Phoenix has posed:
"You got to heal someone? Awesome! How'd it go? Did you think over what we talked about?" Jean says as she hugs the towel closer around her with a quick grin of thanks to Scott. She takes a seat on the lounge chair as she begins working on squeezing the water out of her hair. It's a long process, that's a lot of hair, and cheating just makes it frizzy.

Nightingale has posed:
Nodding, Shannon just smiles at miss Grey. "Yeah, though did you really have to use the m-word there? I don't think it was that, just... I'm not sure what was different this time, but I'd love to pin it down so I can repeat the success. And finally maybe actually start being useful around here." It was plain that part had stung, being pushed back to where she couldn't really help anybody. And she was not going to tolerate it any longer!

Her eyebrows go up and she grins, looking over at Mr. Summers. "Whoah, wait. Is that... holy crap, it's a /smile/. I'll be danged!" Laughing, she claps her hands, and her wings sweep the surface of the water.

However, if Logan does not move out of the way and quickly, he is also directly in the path of those wings, and their aquatic payload....

Shadowcat has posed:
Kitty isn't bothering with hugging a towel. Instead she can towel off in her room and get changed. Which, yes, means she's going to tramp water through the mansion unless she's super careful, but...but hey. She'll take that risk. The whole Shannon/Josiah thing's got her wanting to traipse to her office and think it over. Not that she's blaming anyone, really....it just seems no rest for the (not at all) wicked guidance counselor who can phase through things.

Cyclops has posed:
"I am not on the clock, Miss Lance. I am allowed to smile during my free time." Scott says with an amused expression as he leans forward to kiss Jean on the forehead before he settles down next to her. He dries himself off with his own towel, working his chest and shoulders before he starts to scrub down his legs.

Aerin Mifflin has posed:
Aerin finally comes to a stop with her swimming of laps against the part of the pool people aren't standing/etc in. Coming to a stop she rights herself and swims over to one of the pool's ladders. Lifting herself up out of the water she's largely covered from behind by her mass of head to toe length hair.

The metal around her swimming suit begins to unravel going from purple, to black as the swimsuit underneath is revealed. Now begins the long process of drying her hair. Heading over to the chair she stashed her stuff at she takes the towel and begins wiping down her body with it, taking her hair and slinging it over her right shoulder, around her back, to the left shoulder then down her front on the left side to keep it from hitting the ground and getting dirty why she towels off her body. "Oh, hey Shannon." She didn't notice her come in since she was swimming and all that.

Wolverine has posed:
"Sorry Adonis." Logan says mocking Scott's style of drying off. "I'm going t' have t' take a raincheck on that." Logan says to Scott. " As much as I do enjoy making you the third wheel and impressing Jeanie. I've got plans for tonight already." And before he can remark anymore Logan is hit with the deluge of water. And he isn't just wet, he's drenched. His magazine becomes paper-mache whereas his cigar is murdered and sent to that kindly place where cigars go when they get wet. There are no words from the sound that comes from Logan. A mix of cursing, surprise, and a lot of anger.

Nightingale has posed:
Shannon is just turning to Aerin and about to greet her, when that odd growling from the edge of the pool catches her attention. She goes stock still in the water, freezing in place like a deer caught in the headlights. This could not be good.

     "Oh, scheisse..."

She tries the 'oh crap I fouled up' smile, curling her wings around her. "Crap... sorry about that one..." Yeah. Next round of sparring was going to prove to be rather interesting.

Phoenix has posed:
"The word's only negative if you take it that way." Jean says calmly as she rolls up the towel to work as a pillow so she can lay back, spilling her hair out over the back of the chair so it can air dry. At the kiss from Scott, she reaches up to give his hair an affectionate ruffle and holds him close long enough to return the chaste skull smooch before letting him go to get comfortable. "...you two are impossible." Jean mutters fondly before looking over to the lounging Canadian. "Next time, then." That said, she looks over towards Kitty as she moves to depart, though Jean doesn't move to interrupt her. Clearly she's deep in thought.

"But it did make you think." She says instead back towards Shannon. "Anyway, so maybe something dawned on you, we just have to figure out what. Speaking of, we," With a wave of her hand in the direction of herself, Scott, and Logan, "Met with Doctor Banner. He suggested remote learning, which sounds like it ma--- ....oh."

Logan ends up drenched by way of student shenanigans. Somewhere nearby, a bird makes a strangled squeak and goes quiet. Sighing quietly, Jean gets up to collect the bedraggled man a couple of towels and walks his way, holding them out with her best 'please don't murder students, think of the paperwork you'll make me do' smile. "...need me to relight that?"

Aerin Mifflin has posed:
Aerin blinks as she sees the wave after it happens. She doesn't see it too well since she's a bit close and she's rather farsighted. She starts to offer her purple towel however Jean beats her to it. Finishing toweling off she puts the ball of metal into her backpack that is spun from her suit, and slings over a shoulder as she slips into her sandals and begins drying off her hair. She'll probably need to polish it again..though she'll likely wait till tomorrow after a shower. Metal hair takes so much effort to keep clean!

Waving she decides to beat a hasty retreat. "Good luck Shannon, try not to die!" Fuwheeee, and she beats it back to the mansion!

Wolverine has posed:
Logan was not pleased. He came to the pool to relax and enjoy the eye-candy. Not to get wet. As he takes the towels he continues to grumble incoherently. As he pulls the towel from his face he looks to Jean then to Shannon. With a sigh mixed growl her hands Jean the wet towels.

Cyclops has posed:
Smirking at Logan, Scott looks amused for a moment. "Yeah? You really think you can impress her, huh?" He says once Jean walks away from him, reveling in that kiss to his forehead. She always has a way of making his heart leap. Even though he's a stoic, stick in the mud for the most part.

Settling down in the lawn chair, he stretches himself out, tucking his arms under his head so that he can soak up the sun upon him, letting out a soft sigh. "It's okay, Shannon. He has plenty more beer and cigars where those came from and we can always go out and snag some new magazines later. Though, maybe 'after' he changes out of that loud shirt."

Nightingale has posed:
Oh crap. Had she signed her own death warrant? Meeping softly, Shannon climbs out of the pool, padding her way over slowly to face her fate. At least she could do that much, to die with dignity! There's a mixture of worry, but also of slight amusement in her eyes, as she approaches. "I'm sorry about that." Whatever would be, would be. The dice were cast, let them fall where they may.

Phoenix has posed:
"I gotcha." Jean assures Logan with a wink as she raises a hand and slowly looks back over her shoulder towards Shannon. With a soft snap of her fingers, a pink-tinged bubble of water rises from the surface of the pool behind Shannon and comes curling down with finality like the girl had just stepped under a freshly dumped bucket of water. It's no ocean tidal wave that'd hurt the girl, but certainly plenty of water for a retaliatory soaking. Smiling serenely, she collects up the wet towels in one hand and floats up a dry and suspiciously lit cigar to the damp Logan in the other.

After a quick squeeze to Logan's shoulder, she turns and walks back to her seat. "You have a lot to learn, Padawan." She teases Shannon as she reclaims her lounger with one leg crossing over the other.

Wolverine has posed:
As Logan looks at Shannon his frown fades. "Just be careful next time. Some people aren't as forgiving as I am. McCoy for one gets fussy because he's a furball." Not sure if he meant that as a warning or a joke. Who can tell? Taking a seat back on his wet lounger he reaches into his beer box and starts to drink.

Nightingale has posed:
Shannon is actually about to give the grouchy Canuck a hug, but the moment she feels that splash of water coming down over her head, she steps back very quickly. Perhaps a little too quickly, falling backwards into the water with a loud -splash-. However, she is a competent swimmer, and comes to no harm. If anything, a few seconds later she is laughing, grinning a bit sheepishly at miss Grey, Scott, and Logan. "Okay, I had that one coming," she concedes, taking it all in good humor.
