Trading a few tricks.

Synopsis:	And the dance begins.

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie has reserved a bit of time in the DR. He talked to Alexis a bit about each of them giving one another a few lessons. Sam has picked up a few hand to hand tricks from a few others along the years, and could use a bit of swordsmanship practice. So, tonight, he has set the room to general for the first bit of training, and is waiting for her, in just a pair of bumble bee pants.

Prismatic has posed:
    Alexis steps in a couple of minutes later, tightening her gloves in her own set of 'bumblebees', and she purses her lips a moment, looking Sam up and down a moment before she inquires, in her crisp accent and voice:

    "Are we Shirts vs. Skins today?"

    Her smile curls up a moment as she looks the lond Kentuckian over, not bothering to hide her gaze.

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie smiles over to her, and says "Well, Ah figured it might be a bit easier on some of our training depending on what we do. Ah could have wore the chainmail." He jokes a bit and says "So, hon I have seen you fight with the baton and the rapier, how are you in hand to hand?"

Prismatic has posed:
    "Probably awful. I haven't had much in the way of training outside the barfight. And, you know, breaking a knee at that incident with Captain America and the rhinocerous." she states coyly, tightening her gloves again before she raises her eyebrows. "So this should prove enlightening."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie nods his head a bit to this and says "Ok, well lets start with you coming at me." He turns his side to her a bit and motions her towards him "Well we should work on that some, you might not be able to be hurt much but incapacitation does not always mean hurting.

Prismatic has posed:
    "Me, coming at you?" she questions, and Alexis gives a soft 'hum', "No weapons, correct?" she asks, removing the bolero she's been wearing over her bumblebees in practice.

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie nods his head, and says "For the first part yea, Ah was thinking Ah might get you to help me train with a weapon or two after this." He smiles and says "Rather fight robot holograms than me?

Prismatic has posed:
    "Oh, no, I'd just hate to see how you'd take it out on me later if I win~." Alexis chides with a flirty grin, stepping up and sizing Sam up. Sam, who's almost half again her weight and a foot taller than her. She fans her fingers out a moment, and then she steps in, looking to deliver a jab to his solar plexus!

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie will watch her, and moves to block the jab, and smiles "Not bad for a start, but remember hon, like with your weapon, your hips and shoulders are going to show you coming unless you try to hide it." He grins and says "And hate to see or hoping for it?" He teases

Prismatic has posed:
    "You'll never really know~." she teases, and with his hand still blocking hers, she turns, pushing off his hand to try and lebow Sam's side. It's as natural as a dance move to her. Somewhat because she's maing it up as she goes along, blending dance and practice violence.

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie spins with her move, and while she does connect, he lessons the impact some and smiles at her "Good good, Use your speed and size to your advantage hon. He will wait for her next attack and come in with a counter against her.

Prismatic has posed:
    "Odd using my size to my advantage to someone who can just pick me up and walk off with me!" the young woman decries, and she turns again, on the ball of her heel, to bring her other heel down on Sam's foot!

    Plus side: Big target.

    Not plus side? His poor foot!

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie gets the stomp, but forces trough the pain a palm to her shoulder. He winces and hopes a bit on the other foot trying to keep his balance.

Prismatic has posed:
    Sam palms her shoulder, and she stumbles forward, tucking into a shoulder-roll, and she turn, in a half kneel, raising one eyebrow. A little hair drifts into Alexis's face a sshe breathes out, tilting her head a moment to regard Sam.

    "... I didn't hurt you to bad, did I?"

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie smiles a bit and says "Na it is just a bit of a hurt, Trust me hon, I have trained with Logan, came out of them more black and blue than flesh colored." He grins at her, and flexes his foot before putting his weight on it again. "Ready for some more?"

Prismatic has posed:
    "With you? Always." Alexis then draws herself back up, and giving a spin attempts to rob Sam of his footing, looking to catch her ankle behind his and sweep his leg up.

    "I've not trained with Logan yet, I'm still quite intimidated by him. It appears that is his desired effect, however."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie smiles and will get taken down, the previous stomp helps her, as normally he might have been able to jump it as he tries a bit. He does jump over it but coomes down on the sore foot and goes down onto his side.

Prismatic has posed:
    And that's when Alexis points her toes, and gently puts her foot on Sam's side.

    "And that would be your broken ribs." she states.

    "... which really is an awful idea, I'd rather not break your ribs."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie smirks a bit and will grabs her leg and pulls her close to him, and says "But one, does your opponent stop at broken ribs, or two what if they are armored like you hon?

Prismatic has posed:
    "YEEP!" is Alexis's response, and she has to hop to keep on her leg, straddling Sam's body now in a stand as she gives a laugh.

    "Well, I certainly wouldn't let them shoulder-pam me." she jokes, and she even reaches down to offer Sam a hand up.

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie takes the head and is nice he does not pull her off balance. He smiles a bit and says "You have some decent moves, using the training with your dancing is good, you ever saw Capoeira?"

Prismatic has posed:
    "Is... is that something like that... that Goonies movie that you were shocked I had never seen? ... or Star Wars?" she inquires, rubbing the back of her head as she leans back to offset Sam's weight and help him to his feet.

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie smiles and says "Computer bring up The substitute , explanation of Capoeira " He smiles a bit as the dance/fight scene shows up around them and a narrator explains how the dancing fighting style came to be from the slaves.

Prismatic has posed:
    Slaves in the Portugeese-held colony of Brasil developed Capoeira, disguising its acrobatic moves as an intricate dance, beginning with its mobile stance 'jinga' and proceding through a variety of acrobatic moves, kicks, elbow strikes.

    The young woman seems fascinated, watching through the holographic examples of modern fighters in a bout, circling each other and pulling cartwheels, backflips...

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie smiles and says "Can set you up with some classes on this if you want, Berto played around with it a bit but turned out not to fit him as much as he had hoped.

Prismatic has posed:
    "I would... actually be really interested in this. Some of the moves are similar enough to eclectic modern dance that it should be easy enough to add to my repitoire." Alexis comments as she circles aroudn the bout again, just wide-eyed, and she gives the greatest, biggest grin to Sam. "You're brilliant, love."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie smiles and opens his arm to her, and says "Hey gotta give credit to my love of old cheese movies, first heard about it through this movie "Only the strong, but have seen it in a few cheesy action flicks."

Prismatic has posed:
    "I shall give credit to your love of old cheese movies -- just this once." the Brit gives a grin, and she gives a small shrug of her shoulders. Makes sense though, I shall have to give it a chance."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie smiles and hugs her close, and says "I think you might do better with some of Kurt's sessions than I do, that I think you would enjoy. Kurt is a big Errol Flynn, and has some sessions set up around it

Prismatic has posed:
    "Heh, I do beleive I have a dance card with Mr. LeBeau's name on it. He doesn't seem so inclined as to be gentlemanly about the swordfight. I'm more keen to cross blades with him." Alexis replies with a little smile.

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie 'a brow raises "I know Gambit does staves, I did not know he did swords as well. I need to work on my long sword a bit more to work on it a bit.
