Synopsis: Imra explains to Tasmia the oddity of reality tv. Lack of blood shed disappoints Shady.
Cast of Characters: Saturn Girl, Shadow Lass

Saturn Girl has posed:
"I mean it started innocently enough," Imra says to her friend and teammate Tasmia. Not that it is easy to be friends with Tasmia. She sometimes can be a tough cookie and a bit standoffish but over time, they have grown to more than simply teammates. Maybe friends was too strong. Anyway!

"I wanted to understand more about this time we are stuck in and I discovered a fad they had during these few decades of history. It is called 'reality' tv. I'm not sure why it is called that as it seems to have nothing to do with reality but instead actors and actresses trying to get their big start."

Shadow Lass has posed:
"It's called reality tv. Uhm, like those screens people like to watch? Those?" Tasmia arches a brow. "You're kidding, right?" Tasmia is pretty certain that her friend is joshing her. Unless that was part of the joke.

Saturn Girl has posed:
"Correct. The entertainment that they stream into their homes. Television which they shorten to tv." Imra touches a few controls on the panel, pulling up a split screen showing about eight different things. "I have watched bits and pieces of many including the Real Housewives, which are not at all real. Survivor which just seems staged to me. A few others but this one."

The image in the right corner of a man holding a red rose is brought up to a large size in the middle of the screen. "It is called The Bachelor. It is a way for a person to seek love, by being provided a large number of candidates to choose from and being exposed to them in various manners for several weeks. When he likes one, he keeps them on the show by giving them a rose. It is as fake as the others yet. I find myself intrigued by it. I watch it quite often. Every week when it comes out."

Shadow Lass has posed:
She watches for a few minutes, head canted to one side. "That's one about bachelor's hitting on women and they pretend to like it?" Shady doesn't understand it. "Why?"

Saturn Girl has posed:
"Fame. It is their chance to be popular and hopefully will lead to future acting jobs." Imra paused the screen as the bachelor of that season was facing the line of women with about seven roses in his hands.

"Yet I find myself watching, wanting to have certain people chosen over others. It's so confusing that I would even care."

Shadow Lass has posed:
"Wouldn't they be better to choose the winner of a tournament, or drag them off as the vic.. oh. This is how they do it? But there isn't any blood shed." Shady is positively confused. "Explain. What makes the man want to win her."

Saturn Girl has posed:
"On this planet, they believe promises made and wish for romance. Blood shed is considered taboo during courtship," Imra points out flatly. "There are lots of option for blood shed though. Boxing. Mixed martial arts. You should look into some of those."

Shadow Lass has posed:
"Oh? There are other types of reality tv? Or did you mean I should look for them. Could I find them on earth?" *That* she is interested in. "Then why do they still pretend, instead of going out and finding it. If you ask me, that is stupid. Really.. and you still like it. Hm. Go on."

Saturn Girl has posed:
"I cannot even explain why. I am aware it is fake. I am aware that they are telling lies to one another. I am aware there is nothing realistic. Yet, I keep watching it." Imra's brow furrows a little bit. "Very confusing. Perhaps this is why this form of entertainment was so popular." She clicks a button, closing the images on the screen and looks over to Tasmia. "The other things i mentioned with blood shed are sporting events. Competitions between people to find out is best."

Shadow Lass has posed:
Shady nods. Her brain starts going around and around. "Interesting." But she is off on her own thoughts. Mixed martial arts.. yes.
