For Charity Part I: You want me to what
Date of Scene: 03 July 2020
Location: Orchestra, Monarch Theatre
Synopsis: Tim asks Phoebe to a Gala. Phoebe is Hella Intimidated by fancy.
Cast of Characters: Sparrowhawk, Red Robin

Sparrowhawk has posed:
Phoebe was already at Tim's place in the afternoon, having ended class early, and had been busy watering and minding the plants that were steadily taking over the orchestra area. She was wearing a GOTHAM U T-shirt with the Rogues on the back, and PROPERTY OF THE ROGUES ATHLETIC DEPT across her shoulders, and a pair of comfortable jeans.

She was singing, softly, to the plants as she watered and picked dead leaves off.

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake smiles as he hears the singing, and will come up behind her to give her a hug "Hey there." He will tell her. He had a meeting so is actually in a suit and tie, looking all professional. "How was your day, looks like you got here a bit early skipping out on class?" He jokes with her his voice and actions speaking of his happiness she is here.

Sparrowhawk has posed:
"No, but thanks to training last night I did fall asleep in Dr. Petersen's Society and Justice course this morning." Phoebe replies, leaning back a moment against him and then pauses, turning and looking the hero over.

"Look at you! Looks like we both had to get our day jobs taken care of, huh?" she smiles, and leans in to give him a peck on the cheek.

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake smiles and keeps her close, and says "Yea, I had to go in and be all Vee Pee ish, and then found out that I am going to have to make a few appearances." He smiles at her, and says "Want to be my +1 at a charity event for a wayne foundation event?"

Sparrowhawk has posed:
"Aah yes, the source of your fabulous wealth and high social ranking, you're a Wayne." Phoebe teases good naturedly as she leans forward to inspect another plant, listening to him -- and then she pauses, and straightens up.

"Ah... Tim... I can't go to big charity events like that." she states quietly, rubbing the side of her neck.

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake looks to her, and says "And why not?" He asks her, as he stays close "I am pretty sure they will let you in, I know someone in security." He jokes a bit with her, and reaches for her hand to give it a soft squeeze. "Don't want to be seen with me? I know it sucks al the paparazzi would avoid them if I could."

Sparrowhawk has posed:
The unusually quiet Beacon rubs the back of her head, and she goes "Well... aren't you embarrassed to be seen with me? A school teacher's adopted kid?" she ventures. "I don't know anything about fancy gatherings. I show up, use the wrong fork and then I can hear the headlines: 'Charity Case at Charity Gala: Tim Drake Wayne brings low-class former Narrows dweller to event!'" she leans into Tim a bit. "... I just... don't want you to be taken down a peg because of me, Tim."

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake looks to her, and says "Well first off, I could never be embarrassed by you hon." He steps in pulling her closer to him. "I am pretty sure all they are going to say "Time Drake Wayne is dating the most attractive, smartest, sexiest woman in the room." He grins at her, and says "You are great love, and if you are really worried about the wrong fork, I can either make sure we all have finger food, or I can call the expert who makes sure I did not get the wrong fork, he is smart and a great teacher."

Sparrowhawk has posed:
"And then I walk in and your actual girlfriend thinks I'm the hired help. Seen that movie before." Phoebe gives a wry smile, and she rolls her eyes. "You have a finishing school teacher on payroll? I'm somehow not surprised."

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake says, "Well you are my actual girl friend, and a finishing school teacher, no but Alfred made sure Bruce, and all the kids Bruce took in knew how to act. He was Bruce's parents butler and when Thomas and Martha were killed he raised Bruce. He probably could have sent him to a boarding school or something but he treated Bruce like his own son, and the rest of us hooligans as it to, to be honest."

Sparrowhawk has posed:
"... I honestly can't imagine any of the Robins as 'hooligans'." Phoebe replies with honesty.

    ... she's not met Jason.

"Well... as someone who was adopted myself, I can certainly appreciate the work he put into Bruce Wayne, when he's not getting into vicious pollo pony accidents or crushing his ribs playing rugby he seems like a decent guy." Phoebe adds in, and then she pauses, and looks to Tim. She narrows her eyes a moment at him.

    "... *were* you a hooligan?"

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake says, "Not to bad, I would probably be considered the good one, me or Dick, but Dick was originally raised in a circus, then well Jason was probably the biggest hooligan, and Damian, well he is an ass hat." He offers to her." He kisses her softly and says "My worst was probably same thing your doing now, running out and doing the hero thing when supposed to be home asleep."

Sparrowhawk has posed:
"Is that an insinuation that I should be hanging out with you less and spending more time sleeping at home?" Phoebe asks playfully, and she leans back on her heels a moment, ruffling her fingers through his hair, purposefully messing it up.

"Well, there are two things that are going to stop me from attending any fancy and formal function. One: I have no idea how to interact with the upper crust of Gotham and beyond. That's a whole new world and I'd rather take public speaking six semesters in a row than try to work out what to talk to them about. And two: those dresses cost like, eight times what I make at my part-time. Yearly. Counting tips."

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake looks to her, and says "Well I do believe your boyfriend can get you the dress considering he is the one asking you to go, would be the least he could do, As for what to talk to them about it is a charity event, you don't think you can talk to people about helping people? I sorta think you were doing that even before ya met me."

Sparrowhawk has posed:
"That's different. You're... y'know. You, and I'm..." she trails off a moment, then winces and motions to her face.

"... I'm a nobody to them. I mean, of course I'm going to go and do my best to not use the wrong fork, ad hey, if this Alfred gentleman is willing to lend a hand --" she pauses.

"... am I going to have to go to Wayne Manor to meet him? I don't think I'm ready for that yet."

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake looks over to her, and says "And your wonderful, your not going to convince me anything is wrong with you lover, you are the best, and if your not ready for the Manor, I can ask Alfred to come out here, he is the one who talked me through making the stew.

Sparrowhawk has posed:
"Well, then it's only appropriate I give him a gift for his generous controbution to securing you a girlfriend." Phoebe smiles, and reaches out to wrap her arms around Tim, leaning against him.

"You didn't tell him I flipped you on your back like a turtle the first time we hung out, did you?"

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake nods, and says "Oh yea, and I think that might be why he was so willing to help me." He grins at her, and pulls her close, and says "He is a very smart guy, and knows that a girl who can take care of herself is a much better match for us than a damsel in distress.

Sparrowhawk has posed:
"Well, that is certainly one benefit of having a girlfriend who can take care of herself... it does cut down on the damsel-in-distress thing."

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake smiles and rubs her sides, and says "Well to be honest, it is also a good thing for some other reasons. There is probably something I should have told ya about a while back, but it is past and history but you may hear about it. "Your gonna see a thing about me dating Carrie, that was all fake, trying to catch someone who we thought was targeting girls I dated.

Sparrowhawk has posed:
"Oh, yeah, I read about you dating a Carrie. Ah... might have done a little background check. BEfore we were serious. Of course, you don't show up as anything except mild-manned Tim Drake Wayne." Phoebe gives a smile, and then gives a laugh. "Cmon, I had picked up some food for tonight and had a couple of questions about knee armor if you feel up to talking it up -- and then, maybe, we'll talk about the softer side of clothing by Tim."
