Buffy Summers has posed:
Another busy day at the magic shop and it looks like there's an author signing going on today which makes things a bit busier. The author, Messicah Blecher is a famous writer for a supernatural detective series that might seem eerily similar to a certain real life detective. But hey, it's a real popular book, they're just flying off the shelves!

Buff is here too, working the desk, looking so busy she might faint any minute. Where's that darned Anya to relieve her?

Harry Dresden has posed:
Slipping into the confines of the shop, the wizard PI strolls into the Magic Shop as he does on a fairly regular basis. There isn't very many places he knows of that he can get genuine magical components like an actual ray of sunshine, or the sound of silence.

He strolls by the counter, lifting a hand in a wave as he does so, "Hey Buffy," he calls before he pauses and sees the state the shop is in for "Hell's bells, what is going on here? Uh, should I come back some other time? You know, when it is less busy?"

Buffy Summers has posed:
Buffy Summers draws a deep breath, wiping her forehead as she continues selling potions and other magic items in a steady stream. Fortunately there is a brief break in craziness a few minutes after Harry arrives. She smiles and waves to him cheerfully.

"Hey Harry how's it going? No you're fine, we're just having a big sale and a book signing with Messicah Blecher. Have you read her books? They're pretty good.."

As for Messicah, she stares up at Harry behind those large green glasses of hers, her grey blonde hair up in a messy bun and gasps. "Oh my goodness! You're the spitting image of my main character, Detective Barry Gressen! Itmust be fate that we met! I could just see you posing for my upcoming movie!" she squeaks as she stands up, a tall, thin wiry woman and buzzed around him, totally checking him out.

Thomas Raith has posed:
Music somehow always proceeds Thomas into a building. This time it's Carrie Underwood singing "Cowboy Casanova" ~He's a Devil in disguise, a snake with blue eyes, and he only comes out at night... He gives you feelings that you don't wanna fight you better run for your life... ~ He's carrying a white paper bag that has been rendered almost transparent by oil and greese. The diligent boyfriend bringing his overworked lover lunch. This time one of Mac's steak sandwiches judging by the smell. He blinks a bit at the crowd and scans for Buffy, but see's Harry first. He grins broadly, "Harry! I haven't seen you in ages. I thought you were dead. Sent flowers and everything."

Buffy Summers has posed:
Buffy Summers frowns at Messicah and folds her arms. "Ms. Blecher, please don't scare our customers away. I'd appreciate it." Messicah flinches a bit but settles back after giving Harry a wink. "Think about it!"

Buffy glances towards the door and beams. "Thomas! is it lunch time already? Thanks for picking that up, I'll be on my break soon as Anya gets here.."

Unfortunately she gets harassed by several incoming customers and ducks behind the counter again. "Why don't you two..Catch up in the meantime?"

Harry Dresden has posed:
The first thing that registers is the smell. One of Mac's steak sandwiches are unmistakable, so the nose knows as Harry turns to follow the scent. It is only then that his eyes fall on the vampire of the White Court, causing the wizard's lip curl ever so slightly into a small snarl that he himself probably isn't aware of.

"Thomas," Harry says in way of greeting with a slight nod. "Reports of my demise have been seriously misconstrued, or however that saying is supposed to go."

And then the writer is talking nonsense and Harry turns his gaze back to her, "Wait, what?!" the wizard exclaims, confused by the sudden attention of the author.

Thomas Raith has posed:
If the White Court is upset by the wizards reaction he doesn't show it. He gives a dazzling smile to the author Garanteed to make her feel a good 40 years younger. "You will have to forgive my friend here, the idea of celebrity goes straight to his head." Then in a stage whisper he adds, "He still uses a rotery phone, change scares him." He pulls back a bit and adds "Come on Harry, I'll buy you lunch. I drove eight miles with that sandwich in a bag, and now I'm starving."

Harry Dresden has posed:
Looking even more confused than ever Harry looks between Thomas and the Author mouthing the word "Celebrity? What?" He shakes his head and lets out a large sigh, looking over at Thomas with a glare, "Oh, har. Here, let me see your cell phone, Thomas. Or your car. How about that fancy club you own, why don't we just go over there for a bit of fun and I will show you what kind of changes I can make."

The wizard shakes his head and glances back towards the Author, "I'm sorry ma'am. You obviously have me confused with someone else. My name is Harry, Harry Dresden. That is Thomas. He's an ass, an apparently hungry one at that."

Thomas Raith has posed:
Thomas Raith tsks softly and stage whispers to the woman "He gets like this whenever he misses a feeding." That wicked boyish smile on his face. He shakes his head. "I think her first three books are out in paperback Harry, you'll be able to appropriately mangle them if you like." The man says amused. Then to Buffy he calls, "I'm going to steal Harry away so you can work. We can finish Castlevania tonight if you like and aren't too tired." He adds in an aside to the harassed wizard, "Not very nice to threaten the man offering to buy you lunch Harry. Didn't your father teach you better manners?"

Harry Dresden has posed:
"Yes, yes he did," exclaims Harry with a smirk on his face, "But then again he never met you, so who knows what he might have said."

Harry looks over to the author and shrugs, "It was a pleasure. I, uh, will pick up some of your book and give them a read."

He turns his attention back to Thomas and sighs, resigning himself to the aforementioned lunch. "Alright, Thomas. Lunch. Lead the way."

Thomas Raith has posed:
Thomas Raith does pause for just a moment and stops Buffy mid sale to give her the kind of kiss that can cause a movie to loose it's PG-13 Rating, then he just grins heading out towards his brilliant White Porsche. He pulls out the little remote fob, but rather then a cheerful "Beep-Beep" The device offers an almost forlorn "Mrrp-mrrrrrrrrp". Thomas hesitates then asks, "By any chance did you bring that multi-colored traffic ticket waiting to happen?"

Harry Dresden has posed:
"Why Mr. Raith, are you saying that I am not good enough for your state of the art, all computer driven machine? I'm offended." smirks Harry with a roll of his eyes. The tall wizard just points to the Burger King a block down the road, shrugging a shoulder, "We can just go there. I would hate for you to have to sully yourself by stooping so low you would have to ride in the Beetle. Besides, after a remark like that I don't think she wants you riding in her anyway."

Thomas Raith has posed:
"Not at all Mr Dresden, I'm simply worried about what might happen if it were to brick on me when we are driving down the highway." He smirks a bit and sighs thinking of the steak Sandwich Buffy is likely going to let get cold before she actually eats it. Still he follows the taller man in that direction. "Out of curiosity," He says casually as they head over towards the Burger King, "were all the men in your family tall, or was it just you?"

Harry Dresden has posed:
"Oh, right. Because you would end up just buying a new one.." Harryshrugs as he starts to walk over towards the Burger King, "My father wasn't abnormally tall that I recall. He died when I was just a boy. I don't know about my grandfather, or great grandfather, or any other father as the case may be. Dad wasn't much of a records keeper."

Buffy Summers has posed:
Before he leaves, Buffy Summers returns Thomas' kiss, smiling and waving to the brothers. "You two play nice, see you later, Thomas!"

As they leave, Messicah Blecher continues to ogle Harry, shaking her head. "The resemblance is uncanny..." she sighs, shaking her head and adjusting her glasses.

Buffy returns to the desk, busy helping customers although Thomas will receive a text message at some point or another. ~How you guys doing out there, did you tell him yet? ;)~

Thomas Raith has posed:
Thomas Raith nods slightly, lacing his fingers behind his head as they walk. "Mine either, though likely for different reasons. Every male child of my father who has shown the slightest ambition towards politics has met with an... Un fortunate accident. Pretty sure the same thing happened to my father's father as well." He rolls his eyes slightly." That's why I had to get out of there. Forge my own path as it were. I didn't wanna come down with a bad case of dead." He blinks as his phone chirps at him texting back <<Not something I can just blurt out. I'm trying.">>

Harry Dresden has posed:
"Wow, that is..." Harry pauses for a moment, not really sure how to finish that sentence for a second before he just shrugs and blurts out "...fucked up. So, he only keeps the females around? I don't really want to know, do I? I should shut my mouth and not ask anymore questions because I am going to stumble onto the fact that your mother is really your aunt/sister or something equally and messed up as that aren't I?"

Buffy Summers has posed:
It's too bad Buffy got bogged down with work and darn it, where is Anya already? And of course Messicah Blecher is harassing her about Thomas and Harry.

"Hey are you personal friends of them? Well obviously you are! Can you ask them if they'd be willing to cast roles in my upcoming movie? And whose the raven haired supermodel?! Mmm what a dish? He'd be perfect for Barry Gressen's half brother, Timmus Rave."

Buffy just sighs and rolls her eyes at the lady as she buys one of her books. Cuz they are pretty good and pretty darn true to life. "Heh, I'll pass along the message, I'm sure they'd be flattered.."

Thomas receives another text. <<Yeaah I know, but I'm sure you can do it! Good luck to you both, I'm cheering you on! <3 <3 <3 lol this author is nuts but spot on, think she wants you to cast for her upcoming movie!>>

Thomas Raith has posed:
"No you really don't want to know that aspect of it. Let's just say in conflicts between members of the Court we usually pit our Hunger agienst each other to show dominance." He let's it hang as if to make it clear what he means without saying before adding" Actually, my mother is a complicated subject. She was a wizard. "

Harry Dresden has posed:
Harry let's the politics of the White Court roll around in his head for a bit before he gets it and his face crinkles up into a look of disgust. "EW!? You guys..." Harry makes a motion with his hands that simulates the act of copulation, "screw each other to prove who is right?! That's obscene man! I mean, who wins? The one that holds out the loge...No, I don't want to know. I really, really, really don't want to know. Bob would want all the damn details, but he will learn to live with disappointment."

The wizard arches his brow at Thomas when he speaks about his mother. "Really? And you don't have any power to speak of yourself? I mean, that isn't unheard of. I just didn't know if you were secretly hiding some ability with magic you weren't sharing with the rest of the class or not."

Thomas Raith has posed:
Thomas Raith shrugs a little bit. "Not anything that you'd really call it anything." He shrugs a bit, "I an open a Way in an area that is close to my heart as it were. If /really/ pressed I could likely work up something resembling a tracking spell." He shrugs a bit, and adds "She... Got free of my father when I was about 5. Ran away from us. Left me behind. So she wasn't around to teach me the tricks."

Harry Dresden has posed:
"Yeah? Good for her." Harry says with a shrug of his shoulder. "I mean it certainly must have sucked for you, don't get me wrong, but from what you have told me it doesn't sound like the women in your family should be around dear old dad. At least you got a few years to know your mom, I didn't even get that. Mine died during my birth. All I have of hers is her amulet, and a single photo. I didn't get any tricks from mine either, everything I learned I learned from Justin. He was a treat, let me tell you."

Thomas Raith has posed:
Thomas Raith looks down and away. He struggles with something internally for a few moments and then he says, "Yeah, I know... See she wasn't long away from my dad... And he was furious... No one just leaves my dad until he is through with them... Took him another year to track my mom down... And by then... Well by then she had married a really nice guy by all accounts. A Stage magician. Was pregnant with his son. "

Harry Dresden has posed:
Harry stops moving forward, turning his head to stare at Thomas and narrowing his eyes at the vampire. "You best be very, very careful about the next words out of your mouth, Raith. Very careful, because if you say what I think you are about to say I am going to shove a fireball so far up your ass you are going to be breathing fire for the rest of your unnatural life, which isn't going to be all that long if you get my drift."

Thomas Raith has posed:
Thomas Raith looks at the other man, looks at his brother, and he doesn't say a word. All he does is reach into the collar of his shirt and pull free a pendant. A five pointed star representing Earth, Fire, Air, Water, and the Mind, all encircled in a ring representing human will. "She always wore this. Never took it off until the last time I saw her. She promised it would protect me. It always has."

Harry Dresden has posed:
Harry stands there looking at Thomas for a long moment, his eyes flicking down to the pendant then back up to the vampire's eyes. He doesn't say anything, but after a second his right hand lashes out in a sloppy punch towards the White Court vampires perfect nose, triggering the force rings he wears on that hand in an effort to bloody the damn thing. Punch thrown, the wizard turns on his heals and storms off the other way regardless of whether the blow lands or not.

At least it wasn't fire?

Thomas Raith has posed:
Thomas Raith has reflexes like a tiger, and it wasn't a great punch. Both Harry's anger and the fact he dropped his shoulder telegraphed it completely. Thomas doesn't duck. He doesn't move... He didn't count on the force rings though which lift him up off his feet and land him oon the hood of a nearby car. He'll be fine... Soon... Probibly.
