Synopsis: Hank and Sandy have a nice date and make some weekend plans.
Cast of Characters: Beast, Sandra Billings

Beast has posed:
The cafe is still fairly busy even though it's evening time. Maybe that's because they also sell beer and wine. There's a ton of stuff to do there as well.

Hank McCoy is waiting at the counter, a fresh large latte in front of him. The blue fellow is talking to one of the folks behind the counter, "Actually, kopi luwak is excreted by the Asian Palm Civet. They're quite a rare species of feliformia, or cat like mammals."

Sandra Billings has posed:
Making her way into the cafe is Sandy, who appears to have had a long day. She is frazzled, but at least she's still moving. She was able to change out of her scrubs at least and into a t-shirt and a pair of jeans. Her hair is pulled up into a messy ponytail like bun. "Hey." She breathes out as she slides into a seat next to him. "Sorry, bus routes are crazy to get out here How're you doing?"

Beast has posed:
"Hello my dear!" Hank greets his lady friend warmly, his entire face lighting up when she sits down next to him. "I'm doing very well, now that I'm with you." Hank is also dressed casually. Button up shirt, jeans, loafers. "How have you been?"

Sandra Billings has posed:
Leaning into his arm, Sandy curls her hands about his bicep and flops her cheek in against his shoulder. "I'm okay. Tired. Just glad to be off work and able to see you while I am still physically able to stand." She says a with a loud yawn. "But nothing short of the world ending would keep me away from meeting you for coffee." She peeks up at him with a smile. "You sounded like you were deep into something interesting."

Beast has posed:
Reaching over with his free hand Hank gently touches Sandy's cheek with the outside of his furred hand, sighing contentedly. "If you were unable to stand I would carry you onward if it meant spending time together." Then he returns the smile, "I'm always trying to do something interesting. I'm right now studying the field of cybernetics, which is incredibly fascinating. I'm not sure if I'll revolutionize it, but it's been keeping me occupied."

Sandra Billings has posed:
"Oh. That sounds neat. Just don't create a Terminator, okay?" Sandy says with a yawn as she leans her cheek into his touch. "I don't know much about robots or cybernetics or any of that field. It wasn't my area of interest when I was a kid. I went from playing Operation at the kitchen table to doing it in real life." She shifts her chin a bit so that it settles against his arm so that she can stare up at him with a warm smile. "You're so smart, Hank. Your brain is crazy huge. I don't know how you can keep cramming things in there. I barely remember to put my pants on in the morning when I wake up some days."

Beast has posed:
"No terminators, that's for sure," Hank chuckles before taking a sip of his coffee. "It's not my primary area of expertise, but I'm leaning quite bit." Then his chest rises and fall evenly. "There's so much knowledge out there to learn and so little time to study everything!"

Sandra Billings has posed:
"I'll leave that to you my love. I have crammed enough biology into my head that there is no more room for anything else! My poor brain is still reeling from my last year of schooling." Sandy says with a loud yawn, then orders a coffee from one of the staff that comes by to check on them. "You also got more time to do that. I think I only have five hours to myself a week when I'm not in bed and I try to spend it dragging myself like a zombie around the apartment." She giggles. "Maybe in a few years I'll take a sabbatical and I can learn something new and interesting outside of a quick glance at a cheat sheet."

Beast has posed:
Sandy's reply has Hank chuckling, a big grin on his face. Moments later he returns to drinking his beverage. "I love getting the opportunity to work in so many fields." Beast smiles at his girlfriend some more, "A sabbatical sounds like it could be a nice time. I worry that you'd get bored without the fast paced atmosphere of your hospital. We'd need to find something to keep you busy."

Sandra Billings has posed:
"I am sure you can find something to occupy me with." Sandy says with a giggle. She leans in against him again, hugging his arm with her hands as she lets out a content sigh. "I can work on becoming a better gardener." She says with a bob of her head in thought. "My herbs are coming along nicely on the deck. Just water and make sure they get sun. It seems pretty easy. Soon I'll be moving on to watermelons." She says as she slides her hand down into his, curling her fingers around him. "Hey, sorry about the other day at the club. Uh.. you know.. getting .. weirded out."

Beast has posed:
Holding hands with his lady friend, Hank leans back into her gently and has a bit more coffee. "I'm glad that your gardening skills are developing. I can't wait to see all the things you've managed to grow." Soft laughter, "And to eat them." On the last subject Beast shakes his head, "I don't think you reacted strangely at all. I was quite perturbed, myself."

Sandra Billings has posed:
"My brain just went... uh.. into a weird static." Sandy says with a soft laugh. "I wasn't sure if you were about to propose to me and then got cold feet, or if someone was playing a joke on you, or if .. I don't know. I just felt like I was in a washing machine. There was beautiful music and the dancing and I loved the way you smelled and everything felt perfect, and then ... ring! And I just freaked out." She says with a laugh. "And I think the crazy part is if you actually did propose, I'd probably have said yes and then took another shot of whisky or something."

Beast has posed:
"Oh, it was a rather unfunny joke on the part of one of my students," Hank says with a shake of his head. "In the moment I was totally lost in spending time with you, it was the most romantic moment of my life, I think." He lets out a deep sigh. "Oh, you'd have said 'yes'? Well, that's fairly intimidating to know." There's a big grin, he's quite happy.

Sandra Billings has posed:
Laughing, Sandy bumps her shoulder against his. "Hey, I was lost in the moment also. My heart and my brain went all over the place like scattered butterflies. I care a lot about you. To me, you're the ideal man. You're handsome. Funny. Incredibly intelligent. Caring. Respectful." She brushes her fingers along the top of his furry hand, giving him a smile. "You're the total package. If anything, I'm the intimidated one. You have this bigger than life world about you and I'm just.. uh.. this boring girl who stitches up idiots with stab wounds." She winks at him.

Beast has posed:
"You mean so much to me, Sandy," Beast says with a smile. "We'll go dancing again someday. Holding you in my arms while the music played..." He trails off as though lost in thought. "You're not boring at all. You make my life so much richer. I'm very, very glad that you're in it." He finishes off his coffee and sets the cup back down. "Anyway, after your coffee we should try out the arcade here. See if there are any good machines. If you like that sort of thing, that is."

Sandra Billings has posed:
"I am sure I can find new and innnovative ways to bore you." Sandy says as she gives him a warmer smile. "But you mean a lot to me also. Truly. I can't wait to see where this adventure in life will lead us." She finishes her own coffee, then rises upwards as she pulls him to his feet. "I tend to break arcade games." She says with a laugh. "But you know what? If they got air hockey we can give that a try. Just don't be weirded out if I send the little plastic coaster into the next zip code by accident."

Beast has posed:
"Air hockey?" Hank asks, eyes widening somewhat. "That sounds like an excellent plan to me." He'll lead the way towards the machines, spotting the air hockey table and reaching into his pocket for some money. The change machine gets a bill so that he can have quarters, which he'll feed into the coin slots on the table. "Alright, I'll warn you, I have cat-like reflexes."

Sandra Billings has posed:
"Ha-Ha. I know you do. I enjoy making you purr." Sandy says as she bumps into him playfully with her shoulder. She picks up a paddle once the machine hums to life, looking it over. She slides the plastic puck over to him and smiles across to him at the table. She sways her plastic paddle back and forth between her fingers. "I'm pretty sure you're gonna school me on this. I haven't played since I was a kid along the Boardwalk in Jersey."

Beast has posed:
"I'm quite good at most of these games," Hank says as he grabs up his paddle, ready to begin. He hits the button to start to the machine and readies himself to begin. When he starts off it's with a simple smack towards Sandy's goal, not putting a lot of force behind it. No need to break the machine or anything. "I used to enjoy the Jersey Shore as a kid, as well. Sand gets in my fur any more."

Sandra Billings has posed:
Tapping the puck back to him, Sandy isn't very quick and it's clear she's holding back on putting any power in her wrist. "Yeah? I wonder if we ever crossed paths down there. I definitely would have remembered a huge blue furry guy though." She says with a giggle. "I'd love to see some pictures of you before. I bet you were just as handsome." She says as she sways her paddle side to side, tapping the puck back to him each time. She's not trying to score, but more or less keeping up a gentle volley between them. "Do you think we could go to a carnival together? Maybe go on a ferris wheel and look at the city at night with all the lights on."

Beast has posed:
"I was a dashing young man. I'll bring some pictures of myself to you next time we get together," Hank says with a grin. He's not really trying to beat his opponent, either, just knocking the puck around. "I'd love to go to a carnival with you. Or to the Jersey boardwalk, perhaps." He chuckles a little bit, "We could do all the rides together, get some boardwalk food."

Sandra Billings has posed:
It doesn't appear Sandy has much in the way of strategy. Just knock the puck back to him. "So, let's plan for that. Maybe this weekend? Let's go to the Boardwalk. We can get a hotel room near the beach and hit up the ocean and some stores. I have a lot of vacation time to burn so I will just call in a favor." She grins over towards him across the table. As the puck sails back to her, she gives a quick swipe of her wrist, knocking the puck at an angle, careening it quickly with a rattle.

Beast has posed:
"That's a wonderful plan," Hank says with a big grin on his face. "We'll have a wonderful time." The puck gets smacked around by the blue dude a little bit, letting it bounce all around the table from side to side. "It'll be such a wonderful weekend." He's excited and his lexicon has shrunk, apparently. "Shall we meet at your apartment and take your vehicle, or would you prefer if I drove?"

Sandra Billings has posed:
"I can drive! I don't mind. I need to stretch the wheels out a bit on the car anyways and I know of a few charging ports along the way." Sandra beams with excitement as she taps the puck back to him, then misses on the next swipe as he scores a point. "Oops." She reaches down to take it out, then taps it back to him. "You better bring those Hawaiian shorts I like so much. You look so cute in them. Like a sexy blue Magnum PI." She teases across the table to him.

Beast has posed:
"You like Magnum? Are you sure I shouldn't buy a Ferrari for the trip out there?" Hank leans across the table with a huge smile on his face. "I'll certainly bring my Hawaiian shirts. I love the flowers and the way they fit me."

Sandra Billings has posed:
"Of course I like Magnum! That show was great and goofy." Sandy says with a laugh as she taps the puck back to him. "And the shirts match your personality, definitely. I have a thing for the eccentric. It says something about a man who is confident enough to wear those shirts." She teases him as her brows lift upwards. Leaning forward, she places a kiss on his lips across the table, then whacks the puck into his goal.

Beast has posed:
Sandy's excellent strategy has Hank laughing uproariously for a few seconds. "Very clever, cuddle buddy, very clever. Lets see if I can't get more aggressive with the puck." He doesn't actually get much more aggressive as he's too busy talking, "I may have to get a new shirt just for you to see me in. Mostly green and black, plenty of parrots and flowers, very colorful."

Sandra Billings has posed:
"Aggressive with the puck, huh?" Sandy says as she whacks it back to him, giving him another kiss across the table. She'll distract him with kisses here and there as she plays. "What should I wear? Maybe a bright red dress with yellow flowers on it? Something breezy for the beach?" She is all smiles at the idea of a mini vacation get-away with him. "What do you want to do tonight for dinner? My place? I can cook something. I have some pork chops that have thawed out I can slap on the grill on the deck. I also wouldn't mind meeting your friends again if you want to get them together. I had a lot of fun last time."

Beast has posed:
"Ooo. That sounds lovely," Hank says at the suggestion of the flower dress. "Our plant attire could match." Then he nods his head, "I'll ask them if they'd like to do something for dinner. If they're busy then I certainly have no objection to dining alone with you."
