Cast of Characters: Artemis, Doctor Strange

Artemis has posed:
It isn't fancy, but Artemis has a small apartment in Queens. With the resources at her disposal the Amazon could keep a penthouse on Fifth Avenue, but she's a warrior not a debutante. And her needs are pretty simple, all in all.

She's been out all day, questioning and researching in her quest for more Bana artifacts. And the day has ended in naught but frustration. Relaxing, she is clad in a casual short toga common to her people while she watches the News on a small television.

Doctor Strange has posed:
A small speck of light suddenly appears out of nowhere in the middle of the livingroom. As it lingers there a moment, the speck begins to spin and spark. The sparks grow and suddenly explode outward in an explosion of light and form into a large circular frame of solid light. The door takes up the entire size of the room, and a blast of cold air flows into the room.

A lone figure floats through the golden portal, his feet a few inches off the ground as his blood red cape flows around him as if it had a mind of it's own. Stephen's eyes take a quick glance around the room and they fall on Artemis. An elegant yet slightly cocky smile escapes his lips as he says in a baritone voice, "Good eve Artemis."

Artemis has posed:
Artemis blinks at the appearance of the speck, and as it starts to spin she gets up quickly. No time to run and get a weapon. But when the figure floats into the room he is greeted by a standing, wary, and very curious-looking woman. "You are not a demon." she declare matter-of-factly. "Why are you in my home?"

Doctor Strange has posed:
A soft chuckle escapes his lips as the portal remains open, but his feet float down to the ground. "I am far from a demon. In fact...I fight them," He begins to walk slowly around the apartment. He folds his hands behind his back, "I had heard rumors of an Amazon's prowess but I can see those rumors do little justice." As he turns with a florish looking the woman up and down, "However, it is often blinded by their lack of trust in men. So...lets be honest. My name is Doctor Stephen Strange. I am the Sorcerer Supreme. I know you can sense the magic within me...and oddly enough...Amazonian DNA seems to hold a magical essence that I can noy quite explain but you are magical just the same."

"How goes you're search for Bana artifacts?"

Artemis has posed:
Artemis doesn't move as he walks slowly around the room, although she turns her head to keep him within her vision all the same. The tall woman stands both relaxed and wary, ready as a coiled spring or a cocked crossbow. "I was the *wife* of a demon for a time." she replies, hissing softly at the 'w' word. "That is how I know their smell. I have heard of you, Sorceror Supreme. And I have no quarrel with you, even if you need to learn how to use doors."

She remains silent on the subject of Bana artifacts, other than to ask. "Have you come to offer your assistance?"

Doctor Strange has posed:
As he blinks and snorts slightly, "Me...no. They are dangerous and if I had my way would be locked in a pocket dimension for study. However, I will not hinder or stop you from finding them. I will only intervene if you use them to harm innocence or Earth." He walks to stands in front of the door as Stephen folds his hands in front of him and says, "I have come to offer you a job. However, in payment...I will allow you access to one of the most detailed libraries on this planet for your use. If you become one of my magical instructors in teaching students of the mystic arts how to defend themselves with magic...and without."
A smirk escapes his lips, "interested?"

Artemis has posed:
The Amazon lifts a brow, gaze narrowing a touch when he speaks of intervening. Good cause or no, a challenge is a challenge. Then her head tilts. "I have no need of a job, Stephen Strange, but I do have need of knowledge. Your offer appeals to me." Drawing herself up to full height, she adds. "I have been teaching combat to Amazons since before you were born. My instruction is a fair price for knowledge."

Doctor Strange has posed:
A soft smirk escapes him, "Yes...and I will be around most likely for as long as you are to teach more. You were the most logical choice. If my sources are right...you helped train Diana. That is what has me impressed." Stephen waves his hand and the portal shifts to reveal the library within the Sanctum. "There would be...rules to follow as an instructor. However, I keep my deals. If you will teach my students to defend themselves against demons and the likes that would harm the Earth. My library is at your full disposal. You would have logding, weapons, and relics...within reason." He smirks looking back at the woman, "And if you were bored now again...you would be a welcomed sword by my side against the threats I face sometimes on a weekly basis."

Artemis has posed:
Artemis wrinkles her nose at the mention of Diana and she offers wryly. "I did what I could with that one." And a shrug dismisses the matter further. "You speak of rules and deals, like most men. But you should be cautious of trying to bind me with promises or cage me with oaths." The smile she adds is genuine, however. "But I would welcome the opportunity to fight something challenging."

Doctor Strange has posed:
"I have defeated Hades...not a walk in the park but...not the hardest challenged I have faced. Dormammu and his allies could be more to your liking." As he nods, "Yes...rules. It is a school. There will be other instructors you must work with...students you are not allowed to kill...harm? Within reason. That is why I have healing pods, and mystics with those talents. You must never harm the school, or anything in it." As he waves a hand and a replic of the Eye of Agamotto floats before the woman, "And you must not have any evil in your heart. If you do...without the proper counter wards you would be expelled from the Sanctum."

As he steps through the portal and stands to face the woman, "That is a key...and what will lead you to the Sanctum if you so choose to take the position. You simply must wear it and say my name. The offer expires when the seventh moon rises to it's highest peak."

He raises an eyebrow, "Any questions?"

Artemis has posed:
Artemis snorts softly at the mention of harming students, but she nods all the same. And yet, perhaps surprisingly, she doesn't protest at being told how to teach. "I meet your requirements, Stephen Strange." she declares. "And if I agree to teach at your school, you and your students will have no better instructor... or defender."

And with that, she snatches the talisman out of the air. "No questions. Come and find me when you require a warrior's aid."

Doctor Strange has posed:
As he smiles, "I know that Amazon's believe in honor and duty. I would be honored to have your sword at my side on the field Artemis. That key merely be on your person to gain access into the Sanctum. If you wish to remain here I understand but there will be lodging provided for you if you wish." As he bows slightly at the waist, "And it's Doctor. Doctor Strange."

With a flick of his wrist the golden nimbus of light spins for a moment and then receeds back to a single speck of light before it floats to the ground, and a single white rose grows from the floor.

Artemis has posed:
Artemis considers the talisman for a moment, once the swirling nimbus fades. She bends to pick up the rose, then steps out of the room. Returning in her casual armor with a broadsword across her back, she holds the talisman and speaks very clearly. "Doctor Stephen Strange."
