Night out at Evo

Synopsis:	Megan dances with Conner and gets to know him some more.

Pixie has posed:
Megan Gwynn had actually enjoyed the movie that Conner had taken her to, even if it had made her cry in the end. But hey, it was good to get those things out in the open and she was getting to know Superboy a bit better too. Afterwards, they had headed to club evo, mostly because it meant she wouldn't get picked on by mutant haters (hey, those non-human wings, ears and eyes are not that easy to hide these days!).

So here she is at the club, arm-in arm with Conner, glancing around with a soft smile and ready to enjoy some music and dancing. Dressed in a pale pink floral summer dress and sandals, she looks ready to dance the night away. "So!" she says, turning to him, "You really dont mind coming back here? I dunno if there are any shows going on tonight, but I hope this place isn't too boring or weird for you."

Superboy has posed:
"This place is pretty awesome, actually," points out Conner. Coming here was his idea, really. He is sick of seeing those glances Megan gets from too many of the humans. Not the appreciative ones, those he expected. It is that weird anti-mutant thing going.

Evolutions means no more weird glances. He knows better clubs, sure. Well, edgier. Some have better music. Evo has many interesting people, that is hard to beat. "It is absolutely not weird. Let me tell you about the Rave someday."

Pixie has posed:
Megan Gwynn is probably used to the stares by now, and the threats, and the general danger of going out to a mutant hating place and getting attacked. And of course she's tried to hide her wings under her clothes, but it's kinda uncomfortable, and sometimes just ridiculous looking, especially with thinner summer wear.

She beams, "I'm so glad! I really like this place, even if sometimes it can get a bit slow. I'm also glad I didn't scare you away with my mutant weirdness.." Megan does quirk a brow at the Rave. "Soo what's that place like?" she grins.

Superboy has posed:
Conner laughs. "I forget how curious you are," he bops her nose with a finger. "Okay, I can talk about it or we can go dancing first. I am in no hurry, I think we have a couple hours before they kick us out to close for the night."

Pixie has posed:
Megan Gwynn giggles and nods, grabbing his hand and leading him to the dancefloor. "Okaay! Let me show you my killer dance moves. I've been totally practicing a lot lately! Even though my band, the Tinks recently disbanded after we call graduated from highschool, I'm still hopeful that one day I can start a new band too!"

She smiles, purplish pink wings fluttering excitedly as she searches for a nice quite spot on the dancefloor. There are no live bands playing just now, only a DJ, but the music is pretty upbeat and great for dancing.

Superboy has posed:
Conner laughs again. "Dancing beats curiosity? Good thing to know." He follows the winged girl, letting her take the lead this time. Of course, he likes dancing with a pretty girl, and he is also fairly good at it. He had plenty of practice the last few years. And Megan looks full of energy after being seated for two hours for the movie.

Pixie has posed:
Megan Gwynn smirks as she lifts up her arm to twirl underneath his, pulling out and then close in again. "Well, I dunno, I think they're both a pretty close tie..But you're right, with all that sitting I've been doing, it's nice to stretch my legs again!" she smiles all impishly, "Besides, doesn't mean we cant dance and talk at the same time, right?" Oh yes, she's very curious about a lot of things, especially about Conner.

Superboy has posed:
Conner has no problems talking and dancing at the same time, and helping Megan twirls al she wants. Those are some nice legs. But he has enhanced senses. For most the music would be too loud.

Oh, but he has a solution, he can dance closer, right? "Alright," he starts, "the Rave was a high-tech alien party. Actually, it was called the "Event Horizon", but everyone called it the Rave. It followed a weird teleportation pattern between worlds and it hit Earth every few days."

Pixie has posed:
Megan Gwynn smiles as she draws closer as well, and the music slows to a gentle ballad as well. "Ooh wow, aliens? That's sooo cool! I mean I guess you're kinda an alien too right? But that would be sooo exciting! Have you visited other worlds then?"she sighs, "I wish I could explore other realms, although I dunno how far I can teleport or if it's even safe to port to places I've never been.." but her eyes are full of curiosity all the same.

Superboy has posed:
Conner shakes his head, pulling Megan closer, a hand on her hip. "I was born on Earth," he protests. "Well, whatever passes by born for clones. But Earthling, and American," lucky about the ballad. Or maybe the DJ knows Megan. Likely the second.

"Anyway, I went to other worlds for a few weeks. I met a good number of alien heroes, because the Rave was mostly for supers. I mean, normal non-powered people could go, but they just wouldn't be teleported when the party left. Yeah, pretty suspicious. Of course, there was some silly semi-villanous thing on it. But it all ended up well."

Pixie has posed:
Megan Gwynn ooohs, "I wanna go! Can I go too? I think that would be amazing! And you really met alien heroes? What were they like, all green and tentacled? That must have been scary.." she giggles as she grabs his hand, her other hand on his shoulder as they sway slowly back and forth. "I guess..Ive always kinda felt like an alien, you know, cuz I'm not human, even as a mutant, I'm not quite normal especially learning my real mom is a fairy..Or at least I suspect she is."

Superboy has posed:
"I am afraid the Rave disbanded after a whole mess with Qward and... well, it was complicated," Conner twirls Megan, watchful of her wings. "And I think it doesn't matter where you come from, only where you are going. So, what if you are half fairy? You are fun, beautiful and a hero. What else do need to be, hmm?"

Pixie has posed:
Megan Gwynn sighs, "That's too bad. I still wanna travel to different world. If my real mom is in the Nevernever, I have to find her and maybe she'll explain to me why she abandoned me.." the thought makes her a little sad although she seems happy to be dancing with Conner, and she smiles as she twirls, her dragonfly wings glittering in shades of green and gold. "Ohh silly! I guess there's just one thing I need, to know who I really am.."

Superboy has posed:
Conner chuckles, "that is deep. Too much for the dance floor, baby," besides, music is picking up again, and he prefers the more energetic way of dancing. So, less talking and more shaking. Still keeping close to the pink-haired girl, though.

Parents is something he prefers not to think about. Although he really needs to talk with Superman again. It has been too long.

Pixie has posed:
Megan Gwynn sighs, smiling faintly. "I'm sorry, didn't mean to spoil the mood, guess I'm just a really curious type." and with the more energetic music she grins and twirls some more, pulling out and dipping low, pulling up again close. "Soo, how are you enjoying the evening so far?" she smiles, "I guess I don't get out much really, so this is kinda nice. Did you know Andrea is debuting her new album here in the beginning of August? I'm sooo excited!"

Superboy has posed:
"You aren't spoiling anything," assures Coner, grinning. "I am having a good time, and I am quite sure I am going to have a good time all the rest of the night. Hope you are too!" She had already mentioned she doesn't get out much, which feels strange to him, giving she is both curious and bold.

It is not even most humans dislike them, since Mutant Town has quite a bit of entertainment. Even if the crime rate is also pretty high. But Megan is a powerful mutant. "I am going to get you out quite a bit from now on. We can go to other countries if you want. You can teleport, right? And... not sure I know who Andrea is?"

Pixie has posed:
Megan Gwynn giggles as she presses closer to him, her lips brushing briefly against his neck. "Mmm I'd really like that. I dunno the extent of my teleportation but I don't think Id have trouble porting from one end of the planet to the other. Heck, I've been to the never ever and even limbo..Now that was fun!"

As for Andrea she just laughs, "Really? You've never heard of Andrea Jackson? She's only the biggest teen idol popstar out there! You gotta come to her concert, her music is amazing!" she beams, totally excited about all of this.

Superboy has posed:
"I have heard of her," admits Conner. But he didn't know Megan was a fan. "Okay, concert it is, for the next date." And yes, will happily abuse his flight powers to take Megan to other countries, and then teleport back to New York. After all, the more places she knows, the better a hero she can be, right?

The 'almost kiss' is noticed, and so when the song ends, Conner pulls her close for a full kiss, his lips covering Megan's and his arms wrapped around her body.

Pixie has posed:
Megan Gwynn smiles, "Hmm, she's really great, only.." she sighs, not really thinking as she nuzzles against him, "I dunno, she keeps trying to hook me up with her brother.." there are other things too that are bothering her right now, but kisses are pretty darned distracted, and though she's new to this, Megan is getting pretty used to kissing him. She smiles softly as she leans into him, pressing a slightly more confident kiss against his lips, giggling a bit. "I had fun tonight, thank you.."

Superboy has posed:
"It is not over yet," comments Conner, breaking the kiss. "Want something to drink?" He asks, pulling her gently towards the bar. Of course, there is no underage drinking in Sam Guthrie's club, but he figures Megan might be thirsty after the dancing. And a coke will help her stay awake despite how late it is. They still have some time before the staff kicks them out because it is too late.

Pixie has posed:
Megan Gwynn giggles and nods, following him to the bar. She might not be allowed to drink alcohol here which is too bad. But an iced coke hits just the spot. Not like she needs more sugar or caffeine but it'll definitely keep her awake!. "Thanks, I've had a lot of fun tonight. I..Hope you did too.." she smiles a bit shyly, still new to this whole relationship thing. "Though it is getting late but..I'm not ready to go home yet."

Superboy has posed:
Conner will also have soda. Not that it affects him in any way, but he likes the taste. "Good to hear, I am not eager to see you vanish in a puff of magic either. Even though I know it is getting late," but hey, Megan is too old for curfew or anything.

He hopes!

Pixie has posed:
Megan Gwynn grins, and maybe she is reading his mind but. "Well good thing about graduating high school and turning eighteen is that I no longer have a curfew. I wanna stay out as long as I can, I've never felt so free! And, I'd love to explore Metropolis some more.." hmmmm, she's only visited his apartment once and is too shy to suggest that but..

Superboy has posed:
"That is a very good thing," agrees Conner, picking his drink and taking a long draught. Then he smiles to Megan. "So, it is pretty dark and most places are closed. Want to go flying and maybe make out?"

Conner lives in New York, but he is not sure directly inviting Megan to his place is a good idea. He got the impression she wanted to take it slow. A bit of playful kissing and playing, though, might be good.

Pixie has posed:
Megan Gwynn laughs as she sips her drink all bubbly and cold. "Ooh, I'd love a nice night flight, although I don't think I. hold beat you in a race unless I cheated.." she smiles and winks impishly as she says that, because Megan would so cheat with her parting too!

She finishes the last if her drink, stretching her arms. "Well whenever you're read, so am I!"

Superboy has posed:
"It is not cheating if you really want to do it," offers Conner. "I mean, you would be cheating yourself if I can't catch you, hmm?" He takes her hand, and leads her out. They are among the last people to leave Evolutions. But at least they didn't have to kick them out.

Once outside, however, Conner waits very little before pulling Megan closer for more kissing.

Megan Gwynn smiles, following him out, "Well...Id love to see the limit of my powers, if I can even beat a super fast flier like yourself." she grins, a glimmer of challenge in her eyes, but is again swept of her feet when he kisses her, and it's hard to not get lost in his eyes and touch as she draws nearer, her lips brushing hungrily against his. "But I do like a challenge!" she grins as she breaks this kiss first this time.
