Date of Scene: 28 July 2020
Location: Roof Tower - Xavier's School
Synopsis: Shannon visits Storm to talk
Cast of Characters: Storm, Nightingale

Storm has posed:
Storm was up on the roof tower of Xavier's, enjoying the wonderful view from up here on a clear, warm night. The moon is high in the sky, casting a soft white glow upon everything below. She had settled into some of the patio furniture near the edge, looking out across the school grounds.

Nightingale has posed:
It was too beautiful a night to be cooped up inside one's dorm room, though most good little students ought to be asleep by now. One, however, was not. Dressed in black leggings, a long black t-shirt with a huge, hot pink sequined heart in the center, and a pair of sandals with daisies on the toes, Shannon seems to be making a great escape out of their window, with a thermos in hand. The soft sound of feathery wings beating the air can be heard as she gains altitude, nearing the roof tower. It was a beautiful night for flying, and she intended to make the most of it!

Storm has posed:
Storm looks up at the sound of the wings flapping, and smiles when she sees Shannon out for some fresh air tonight. She waits until Shannon has ascended slightly above the tower, then her eyes frost over slightly as the wind seems to swirl around her body, lifting her out of the tower and into the air near the winged student.

"Shannon, shouldn't you be in bed?" she asks, although there is a playful tone to her voice. She isn't -really- worried.

Nightingale has posed:
It was rare enough that Shannon got much of a chance to talk to Miss Munroe, and she could not recall a time in the past year since arriving at the school that the two had shared the skies. The treat was enough to draw a smile from the younger woman, who can barely stifle a giggle.

"Okay, guess I'm busted. But if I say I have some rooibos tea, will that keep me out of trouble?" Oh, my. Bribing the teachers with potable offerings? Tsk, tsk!

Storm has posed:
Storm chuckles and shakes her head. "Are you trying to bribe me, young lady?" she asks, her expression still playful. "That won't do."

She lets herself drift in the wind a little bit. "That said, it is such a beautiful night. Perfect for flying, don't you think?"

Nightingale has posed:
Shannon chortles softly, banking to fly a slow, lazy circle around the striking, statuesque Storm, keeping wingtips--and thermos full of tea--just out of reach. "Maybe just a little. But you're the one that introduced me to rooibos tea my first day here, remember?" Her expression and tone take on a bit of a nostalgic note, her smile no less warm for it. "I can't believe it's been a year already."

The myriad gifts borne by each resident of the mansion never ceased to amaze and fascinate the young healer in training. This was no exception. What was it like, she wondered to herself, to be able to reach out and touch the skies, to call wind and weather to one's hand? "It is. Too beautiful to stay inside, and too blooming hot to get much sleep anyways."
