Cast of Characters: Mercy Thompson, Lex Luthor

Mercy Thompson has posed:
It's just a normal...ish day in Bloodhaveen, New Jersey. Not that normal and Bloodhaven go together in the same sentence normally. Mercy's Garage is out here in Fort Joseph now. Cheaper rents, more crime, less likely to get shot...but more likely to get chewed on by a vampire and things...

Her garage is very much open today, just after ten in the morning. Mercy's not afraid of high crime rates but growing up with werewolves...that's altered her perceptions of things. That and her pack got her back on this aparently.

So she's putting wrenches away and sweeping the floor of her shop to get the sand and oil mix out of it before she gets OSHA and the EPA dropping fines on her or something, but hey, she's open for business. She just needs customers though.

Lex Luthor has posed:
It's around the time the sweeping is done that a longer than usual black Sedan starts pulling up to the front, parking just to the side as it keeps at an angle designed to allow it to come into the garage itself.

As soon as it's parked, a blonde haired woman in a business dress comes out of the drivers side, adjusts her pencil skirt, and glances into the garage proper. "Are you available for a rush job?" The slight soprano voice can be heard as she watches Mercy.

Mercy Thompson has posed:
Setting the broom against the wall, Mercy looks over and smiles. "Sure, what do you need?" she asks and smooths out her coveralls, stepping closer to the bay doors and looks to the woman and sedan again, raising a hand to motion the car and woman in. "Alright, what do you need? I've got enough time for a rush job, sure. Welcome to Jersey though" she says and doesn't have a regular New York (or Jersey) accent. Nah. mercy's from the other side of things.

Stepping back, she's clearing a path for the sedan to fit into. Sand and fluids are soaked up with towels (hey thanks, 90s Rabbit that's leaking like a siev) as she's waving the sedan in. "Okay bring it in over here and I'll take a look. I won't chare for looking but if any work needs doing itt'll be charged"

Lex Luthor has posed:
"Good." The woman offers as he moves back to the drivers seat, closes the door, and drives the Sedan in. Once it's in place, the woman comes back out and moves to one side, opening the door. "All clear, Sir."

Taking a moment to adjust his suit, a bald man in an impeccable black suit with a red tie steps out, glances around, and looks to Mercy. A charming smile adds to the air of charisma and authority around the man as he steps forward, offering a hand for a handshake.

"Hello, my dear. It seems we've run into a little car trouble. I'm Lex Luthor, and you are...?"

As he speaks, the woman comes up behind Lex and to the right.

Mercy Thompson has posed:
Mercy grew up with a werewolf pack, so she's used to people like Lex, he could easily fit in her old pack back in Montana. Looking over him, Mercy offers a hand. "I'm Mercedes, or Mercy. Whichevr you prefer. Is that your car?" she asks and then gives him a second look after a glance to the car and the other woman. "Wait. As in, the Lex Luther?" she adds and steps back for a moment.

"Alright, you said car trouble, yah? What's wrong with it? You're in a high crime area sadly. I already had some sleasy slimeball lawyer types in here earlier running the same spiel, oh we got car trouble but we can help you out. Please, tell me you're not going to pull that stuff with me?"

It's not hard to figure out who has been bothering Mercedes, if Lex knows about Wolfram and Heart, really. That's the downside to living near their office. Good job, coyote girl...

She finally shakes the hand and nods keenly. "I'm all ears, I've a few breakfast sandwiches if you'd like any?" she offers.

See. This is what happens when she gets a werewolf flying into Jersey and bringing a literal crate of food. Nearly all of it has gone into her home and she's kept a few things for her and her hired help.

Not bad when she can walk a few minutes and get food, too. Mercy looks over Lex and the sedan again, giving the Bug and Rabbit and Ghia frame a quiet look...like somehow they are outclassed. Which to be fair...they are.

Lex Luthor has posed:
One glance gives all the information Mercy needs; this is one of those top teir Sedan Limos, designed for people with more money than than could ever spend in a lifetime to be extremely luxurious... and to blend in with 'normal' cars.

Suffice to say, without taking a look under the hood, Mercy can't bve sure she actually HAS the parts she would need for it. It's one of those bleeding edge designs.

"The Lex Luthor." Lex confirms for her with a bright smile, "I was in the area when this car started having issues. The nearest LexCorp shop is halfway across the city, so this seemed the best option. I don't really want to draw attention in this area, as you might imagine."

Out of the other side of the Sedan comes a black woman with long braided hair and a business dress. She, like the blonde, has an air of 'don't screw with me' to her, and she begins to survey the garage as well, as the blonde woman keeps her eyes on Mercy.

"I just ate, but thank you for the offer.... and no, I'm not looking to cause any trouble. I haven't taken a look under the hood myself, yet."

Mercy Thompson has posed:
Mercy's impressed by the car. Admittedly to her it screams I'm filthy rich and got money to burn' but that's her cynical side coming out a bit.

"I can take a look, sure. But I'm not sure if I can do anything at the moment however" she says gesturing to the other cars in various states of assembly as if saying yeah, this is what I do...

"So here's the deal. I can open the hood and look, but if I need to do any work it'll cost however"

Well done, Mercy. You just explained how a business works. To Lex Luther. Fairly sure he knows how businesses work...

Glancing back to Lex, Mercy smiles brightly again. "Alright let's see. Did the car start making any unusual noises while it was driving through here or did you have any warning lights or anything to alert you things were wrong?" she asks. LexCorp is a lot more advanced than her shop, true but she's doing her best, sure.

Lex Luthor has posed:
"I believe Mercy said we needed a rush job." Lex pointed out, "If you can't manage it, that's fine... but then I'd need to take measures to have transportation brought out to me. I have a schedule to keep." Lex looks to the blonde woman then, who speaks up once more, "I'm pretty sure the issue is with the fuel tank. We suddenly started to lose a massive amount of gas quickly after we hot some potholes."

Lex looks back to Mercy, "There you have it."

Mercy Thompson has posed:
"I can start looking on that now. Fuel tank and fuel system. That's a good place to start. Would you mind helping me move the sedan to a lift so I can get underneath the car and check for any leaks with the fuel system?" she nods. "If you want to arrange a ride I can call you when I've finished going over the car however if you'd prefer that. I don't mind whichever works better for you"

Mercy's accomadating really, mostly, sorta. She looks over the trio and the car, and opens the tool chest grabbing a wrench again. Because....Mercy and a wrench is like Clark Kent and glasses, or Buffy and a stake. In other wordss. If she's not got a wrench nearby, something's wrong.

Lex Luthor has posed:
With a look to Hope, Lex gestures with a head nod to the car. Hope gets the silent order and heads for the drivers seat. She's already moving the Sedan up when Lex looks back to Mercy. "I can appreciate a hard worker. What brought you to this area, if I may ask?" Lex inquires, casually, as his hands go behind his back in a formal posture.
