Lounging in the Lounge

Location:	Teacher's Lounge, Second Floor, Xavier's School
Synopsis:	Breakfast with Kitties and Dragons.

Havok has posed:
    Standing on the stone patio that overlooks the rear lawn, Alex Summers seems quiet and reflective while wearing kakki shorts and a black hawaiian shirt with yellow and blue flowers printed on it. He has sandals on his feet. His hands rest on the stone railing.

Shadowcat has posed:
Kitty's on her way here and has a Lockheed trotting with her at her feet, a coffee and bagel in hand, her sundress and shades and sandals and pendant on, as she arrives and nods to Havok. "Hey, I'd wave but I've got my hands full and no desire to drown anyone in coffee. What's up?" she asks with a wry smile. "You picked a fine place to settle in and enjoy the day" Kitty adds and sips her coffee with a nibble of the bagel to go with it.

Havok has posed:
    It's been over a year since Alex has been in the mansion. He took a road trip, a very long road trip. Rumor has it he went to South America and spent some time finding himself. Or something. Now he's a day or two back and being all reflective.

    Turning, Alex sees Kitty and smiles, "Hey there, Kit-Kat. How's it been?"

Shadowcat has posed:
Kitty grins, "Hey Alex. I'm good. How's things with you?" she asks as Lockheed trots over to Alex and looks to him with a puzzled look, the sort of 'this is new?' expression as Kitty has her hands full still, else she'd explain things and scoop him up. Instead she sits on the stone, half expecting to get used as a Lockheed couch.

Instead Kitty's got a new dilemma. Keeping Lock out of food and coffee. Great, she didn't think this through...and gives Alex a pleading look like 'uh...what do ido with Lockheed and food and coffee?'

Havok has posed:
    "Hey Lockheed." Alex will say as he points toward the rear lawn and a student cleaning the pool. "See that kid down there. I bet you can't give them a huge scare for the fun of it. Maybe even knock them into it."

    Alex will grin and then add for Kitty's sake, "Things are great. Just woke up and this place didn't blow up while I was asleep. So it's a good day here at the ole x-mansion."

Shadowcat has posed:
"Don't you dare" Kitty retorts. "Lock may just try that on you if you ain't careful" Kitty scoffs and gives the dragon a questioning look as if asking yeah, what're you going to do?

"You're enjyoing this too much, aren't you?" Kitty asks with an accusing look to Alex, though the twinkle in her eyes show's she's not really mad. Just more amused than anything. "Nah know why the place didn't blow up? Bobby's not in the kitchen, that's why. Seriously though I'm glad it's not blown up" Kitty offers getting to her feet to find a better spot to sit on the balcony, oh she's not going anywhere yet.

Havok has posed:
    Alex chuckles at the challenge to him trying to entice Lockheed into being mischievous. "You know, I haven't seen him since I got back. Really, not seen many people. Everyone seems so busy these days. Scott mentioned breaking up the teams into squads. What squad are you on? Blue, Gold, Black?" He shifts, puts his back to the railing opposite her while she gets comfortable. Giving her, and the dragon, plenty of space.

Kitty gives Alex a reassuring...well, hopefully reassuring smile. "Well, we are up here in the teacher's lounge. Most folks here are students, I'm sure if we were, say, in the kitchen or out on the back lawn or something we'd get mobbed by students" Kitty observes. "Though school's out. As for what team? Gold" Kitty offers and looks amused. "You?"

Kitty watches the student claning the pool, silently willing him not to fall in. Mostly since Kitty would feel bad for that and probably need to drag him out.

On the other hand. Impromptu pool parties are a thing here, Kitty doesn't wanna be dragged into one.

Havok has posed:
    "Not sure what team yet. I'm sure he's still working out the details or that I'm actually back to stay. He may be waiting to see if I cut out again. You know. Sort my M.O.. Hey, so who is on Gold with you? What's the training schedule like? And... speaking of students. Do you teach here? I'm gonna guess ninja stuff and computer classes?" He places his hands on the railing on either side of his hips as he is leaned back.

Shadowcat has posed:
Kitty shakes her head, "You didn't read the email or get it told to you?" she asks. "Myself, Cyclops, Phoenix, Miss Frost" she says with a sour tone to her voice on that one,"Pixie, Storm, me" she finishes up with a grin, "So basically all the people who can do freaky things. I think we're spook squad" Kity jokes and looks relieved. "So esentially, the way I see itt, it's dividing things up based on what we're good at. Teaching? No? I'm the guidance counselor here. It's a full time job near enough, and the training is....hm" Kitty muses, sipping coffee. "How do I describe it. Challenging, punishing but rewarding" Kitty settles on. "It pushes you and makes you stronger, essentially"

Havok has posed:
    There's a slight 'ugh' sound that emits from his throat when he hears 'Miss Frost' in her list of team members. But he doesn't follow it up with anything about his feelings on the matter. He just says, "Nope, no emails yet. I'm still out of that loop. And yeah, that really sounds like the point of the training that we've been doing for years. Glad that's not changed. Otherwise, we'd be a bunch of slackers." he smirks at the notation and footnote.

Shadowcat has posed:
Kitty shakes her head, "I didn't make the teams" she offers and chews on her bagel more as Lockheed flies off to see about poor people ending up in pools, things.

"I'm not that happy about i right now but if she pulls her weight, I'm all for it" Kitty admits. She's willing to work with somebody she's ehh on for the greater good. If that ever arises...if it ever does that'll probably be a first or asecond?

"The training's good though. You'll get into things" Kitty nods keenly with a knowing grin, "I'll get a bagel for you if you want?"
