Synopsis: Summary needed.
Cast of Characters: 51, Green Arrow

Dinah (51) has posed:
Normally Dinah has no reason to be in Canada. As lovely as the country is, especially on its west coast, airfare is so ungodly expensive, making trips that far up north a very-one-in-a-while kind of thing. But there was a florists' expo in Star City that she wanted to go to, hence her being here today. Instead of going to the dealers' floor and looking at all the vendors for the umpteenth time she has decided to go sight seeing instead.

At the moment the blonde is standing at a crosswalk, looking at a map. There's no fancy phone in her possession, oh no. She prefers to do things like this the old fashioned way. Unfortunately, she is blocking people who are busily trying to go about their Sunday business, those same people set to muttering at her as they walk around the distracted woman.

Green Arrow has posed:
"You know they have apps on your phone for that kind of thing now," Oliver says just as he's about to run smack dab into Dinah. He has his phone in one hand with the other jammed deep into the pocket of the suit he's wearing. He eyes the blonde curiously, who uses maps these days?

"In fact Queen Industries just released their Wayfinder app and it might be just the thing you're looking for," he adds. "If you don't mind my asking, what is it you're looking for?" His phone remains in his hand but it is nearly forgotten as he tries to chat up the pretty blonde before him. He also makes no move to get them out of the crosswalk, people can go around them he figures. Nope, instead he stands his ground looking to see if he can be of any use to this tourist visiting his fair city.

Dinah (51) has posed:
The first thing Dinah does is turn to face the person the voice belongs to, Dinah having to look up slightly as she does. The second thing she does is blush as soon as she notices who it is. Oliver Queen. Even though he isn't American he's 'famous' enough to be known in the US and... well, he is handsome so that helps with the whole thing with her face going bright red. "Oh. Sorry." Muttering lamely, she goes to step to the side, allowing for others to get past easier even if Oliver doesn't move himself.

Quiet, she makes herself calm down and wills her blush to go away, her cheeks eventually turning a pale pink instead of the ruddy red they were just seconds before. "I have a phone," she points out while pulling it out of a pocket, the device one that's at least ten years old. Nothing fancy, it's probably old enough to not run anything current like new apps. "I just don't use it unless I absolutely have to." Spoken like a true technophobe.

Green Arrow has posed:
Oliver nods and "ahs" as she explains about her phone. "You don't have to explain that to me. These things give me a headache," he says waving his around. "Don't get me wrong, amazing little gadgets but they make life a bit too easy if you ask me. Navigating using nothing more than a map and your sense of direction? That has me intrigued. Do you mind?" He asks before reaching out and taking the map from her.

He turns and lays it flat against the hood of a car that only just now stopped beside them. Looking up at the driver Ollie offers a smile and a wave. "So we're here," he says pointing to a spot on the map. "And where was it you were trying to get to...Miss...?" Turning his head he looks over his shoulder at Dinah.

Dinah (51) has posed:
Dinah clears her throat and moves a little closer, leaning in to look at the map. "I really wasn't looking for anywhere in particular," she admits. "I was just wandering around, taking in the sights." Of course she managed to get lost but she won't admit to that. Chuckling, then, she offers Ollie a hand. "Dinah Lance. But you can call me Dinah. Nice to meet you, Mister Queen." Looking back at the map, she pokes at a green blob on the map, her nail causing a soft click as it taps the car hood under the paper. "Is this a park?"

Green Arrow has posed:
"Well it's nice to meet you, Dinah. And please, call me Ollie," he says. When she points at the green blob he smiles. "It is and it's not even that far. I can show you if you like," he offers. Picking up the map he folds it up and hands it back to Dinah.

"I hope you don't mind my prying but judging by the accent I'd say you're American? I hope Canada is treating you well." He offers a wave and a smile to the guy behind the wheel of the car he was using as a table, the guy waves back with his jaw more than a little slack.

Dinah (51) has posed:
The driver is given an embarrassed smile from Dinah who also waggles a few fingers at him before allowing Ollie to lead her off. "I would love it if you'd show me where it is. I didn't realize there is so much to Star City and I..." Yup. Cue the blushing. Again. "I got lost." As if Ollie hasn't guessed that, by now. Giving him a rueful smile, she gestures to him, allowing him to take charge. She'll just wander along, trying not to fan girl too too much.

The commentary about her accent has her laughing outright, then, a pleasant sound. "Yes. I am from the east coast, to be a little more specific. Uh... oh. How do I like your city? I love it, I got to admit."

Dinah (51) has posed:
Dinah adds a little bit under her breath, "I just wish I could afford to come here more often."

Green Arrow has posed:
"Nothing to be ashamed of. Sometimes getting lost is exactly what we need," he says referencing his own fairly recent time spent lost. "Besides, it's a big city!" Oliver leads her down the street a few blocks to the park, "You know the city was thinking about tearing this down and putting up another parking lot. Because that's what this city needs, more concrete and glass. We managed to put a stop to it though," he adds with no small amount of pride.

"Glad to hear you're enjoying Star City. Was there anything specific that brought you here? Let me guess..." he says eying Dinah critically for a moment. "You're here for the dentist convention, right?"

Dinah (51) has posed:
"Gotham feels very much the same way. Er... lots of concrete and glass, I mean. Some of it's very beautiful, in a dark, gothic kind of way, but most of it is just... sad." Shaking her head at that. Dinah glances sideward at the gentleman, trying to look at him (okay, probably more like ogle a bit, really) without getting caught. "Maybe you should come and advocate for our parks and stuff..."

The conversation is a bit awkward for Dinah. Not exactly in a bad way but more in the 'holy crap, I'm talking to a rich guy' way. Despite this, her part of their chatting flows mostly easily. "No. There was a florists' expo here. I went to see if I could find a couple more sellers. Wound up being a wash, though."

Green Arrow has posed:
"Gotham?" Oliver seems to mull this over quite seriously before continuing, "That city is on my list, believe it or not. You know it ranked as one of the top 3 most polluted cities in the United States last year? Don't get me wrong, Wayne Enterprises does a fine job at trying to keep things green over there but...Well, I think Queen Industries could step things up a bit. I was thinking about opening up a branch of Queen Industries there focused on reducing the cities immense carbon footprint. Now I think maybe I've found a reason to push Gotham to the top of that list," he says with a smile.

"A florist expo? You own a shop? Don't take this the wrong way but I never would have pegged you for the type. There's something in your eyes that tells me you might like things a little more...exciting than the life of a florist. Hungry?" He asks as the pair stop in front of a snack cart. Ollie orders himself a water and a pretzel before turning to see if Dinah would like anything.

Dinah (51) has posed:
Dinah tilts her head to the side, a brow arching as she smirks. "Is it really on your list, Mister Qu... Ollie? Or are you just saying that to get on my good side?" Finally feeling at ease, the jokes start to be made, given with a slight laugh and s twinkle to her eye. "I am glad that you want to make Gotham a better place. It needs to be cleaned up." And not just its air quality but its crime as well. Something she tries to help with as much as she can.

His assessment of her has her a bit startled, it registering in how her eyes go wide. "Oh really now? You think the life of a florist isn't exciting? I have deadlines to work against and bridezillas to fight off. That's more than enough excitement for me, thanks." Such. A. Lie! Looking over the snack selection, Dinah eventually settles on a dirty water hot dog, with everything minus onions, and a can of cola. "When you come to Gotham look me up. Or feel free to call me before then, even. The name of the shop is Sherwood Florist. I'm in the phone book."

Green Arrow has posed:
"Now you're pulling my leg," he says when she tells him the name of her shop. "Someone has sent you to prank me, is that it? Catch my attention with that stunning blonde hair, weaken my resolve with those sparkling blue eyes and witty conversation, and then totally obliterate my defenses with a Robin Hood reference? What's the punchline? You get me to do something incredibly embarassing on video?" He eyes her playfully but he's not sure how much he's actually joking, the woman before him seems almost too good to be true.

"And believe me, no trip to Gotham would be complete without visiting you and your shop. If you'd be so kind?" He asks handing her his phone so she could input her info for him.

Dinah (51) has posed:
Dinah laughs. "No, I am not pulling your leg. It's... something of an inside joke, I suppose." Shaking her head, she takes Oliver's phone and gives him the number to her shop, her fingers deftly brushing over the numbers while trying to fight off the creepy feeling using such technology gives her. That done, she hands it back. "Maybe we could do dinner out when you come. There are a lot of fancy -" and way too expensive for Dinah to afford, alas, "- restaurants to choose from."

Green Arrow has posed:
"I look forward to it. And it doesn't have to be too fancy. I'm the guy who lived on an island for five years eating little more than rubs and coconuts, remember? Besides I'll take a good pizza over lobster any day of the week. And aside from a tour of this fantastic sounding shop you seem to have maybe you can help me scout out spots for that branch of Queen Industries I was talking about. And maybe an apartment, I'm thinking Gotham might need my own close and personal attention." Besides, Star City's crime rate has plummeted. Gotham's on the other hand...
