Cast of Characters: Sandra Billings, Beast

Sandra Billings has posed:
Due to Henry being out on a critical mission involving weed dealers, farmers and stolen armor, there is a good chance he may have missed a couple of notifications on his phone. Two missed calls from Sandy. One of which had a voicemail of her quietly sobbing in distress at about one in the morning, asking him to call her when he can. The news has been circulating about a terrorist attack at the Lennox Hill Emergency Room, where multiple officers were found killed in the line of duty, and members of the staff were injured.

Currently, Sandy is at home in her bed, having been forced to take administrative leave pending an investigation. The officer she protected didn't say a word, the prisoner who was wounded was high as a kite. But still, there were questions that will need to be answered. She is hugging a pillow tightly to her face, thankful for the blackout curtains on her windows. She has no clue what time it is, all she knows is that she isn't getting out of this bed.

Beast has posed:
Once Hank is back home at the mansion and able to check his phone he gets Sandy's voicemails and grows incredibly concerned. Disregarding the time of night he places a call to her, even as he starts moving towards the garage to borrow a car to take over to her place. "Sandy, please pick up."

Sandra Billings has posed:
After about the third time he tries to call, the phone is picked up. There is a wet snuff and a muffled sound which is most likely her buried under blankets. "Henry. Something bad happened." She says in a pained voice filled with emotion.

Beast has posed:
"What happened, darling?" Hank asks as he climbs into one of the vehicles and starts the engine, setting his phone to speaker so that he can drive and talk at the same time. "I'm sorry that I didn't get back to you sooner, I found myself caught up by my work."

Sandra Billings has posed:
There's a rustle of blankets as Sandy lets out a low groan. "There was an attack the hospital. Bunch of men came in with guns. Killed a lot of cops. Threw grenades into the room I was in protecting a patient." The sound of her walking can be heard, followed by the water being turned on, most likely in the bathroom. "It was terrible. I had to fight back."

Beast has posed:
"You're safe, though, right?" Hank asks as he drives along in the car. She is one of his primary concerns, after all. "I don't know what I'd do if you were seriously injured."

Sandra Billings has posed:
"I'm fine. I'm at home. I think I'm suspended. I don't know. I had to jump in front of a grenade. Blew my clothes up, I didn't have a scratch on me. I don't know if anyone put two and two together. It's just.. it's so crazy, Hank. I don't know what I'm going to do if they fire me." Sandy weeps out as she settles on the top of her toilet. She hunches over, giving a loud, wet sniff. "They were crazy and I didn't know what to do. I couldn't let him kill them. I.. I don't know what to do now, Hank."

Beast has posed:
"It'll be okay, sweetie," Hank replies over the phone. "We'll see if they figure anything out and if your secret comes out as a result of this. The important thing is hat you're safe and that you, you protected people. I'll do everything I can to make sure you've still got your job after this, even if I need to hire you an attorney. You losing your job just for protecting people and being special is ludicrous."

Sandra Billings has posed:
There's a loud, wet snuff. "Hank, I had to forge paperwork and bloodtests to even get the job. I can't even be pricked with a needle to draw blood. I had to lie to them. That's fireable! I could even go to jail for it. Oh, God, I never should have done this. I should have just been a barista. I knew this was stupid. I knew it. I'm going to get in so much trouble." There is panic in her voice as she lets out another hard sob. "No lawyer is going to defend a mutant. Not for something like this. They won't care I saved someone. I lied to them. I lied to so many people."

Beast has posed:
"I promise you we'll find someone if we have to," Beast says as he drives along. "We may not have to, however. Hopefully the hospital staff wont look at you surviving as anything but good luck."f they do try to fire you we can reach out to Jennifer Walters. She often covers peple with superpowers. In the meantime, however, they're probably going to repair any damages first of all."

Sandra Billings has posed:
"Okay." Sandy says weakly as the sound of flushing can be heard, followed by her crashing back down into her bed. "I just don't want to be in trouble. I just want to help people. That's all I want to do. I didn't think terrorists would show up and shoot a hospital up. Not even in New York."

Beast has posed:
"Have the police caught them yet? I'm afraid I haven't caught up with the news yet," Beast asks with a frown on his face, trying to drive as safely as he can when what he wants to do is put pedal to metal.

Sandra Billings has posed:
"No, no one caught them. They just got away. The ring leader was a super, just like me." Sandy says with a loud sigh into her phone, rolling on to her back as she stares at the ceiling now that she is back in bed. "He and I got into a back and forth verbally and after he realized that throwing a grenade at me and hitting me wasn't doing much, he took off. I stalled him as long as I could. But not before he killed a bunch of officers."

Beast has posed:
"You did everything anyone could have done in that situation, darling," Hank says seriously. "Protecting a handful of people is sometimes all that you can do. If anyone dies it never feels like enough, but you can't be everywhere at once."

Sandra Billings has posed:
"I know." Sandy says weakly on the phone, followed by another wet sniff. "I just don't want to do this again. I don't want to do any of this. I just want to help people. I don't want to get shot at, or jump on grenades. I just want to help people." She sighs softly as she listens to him. "Are you driving over here? You don't have to. It's so late, Hank. You have to be tired."

Beast has posed:
"I took a nap today after I... was exposed to cannabis smoke," Hank says to his boo as he drives down the road. "So I'm fine. And after the day you had there's no way I'm not going to head over and make sure that you're okay, okay? I love you and I want to make sure that I'm doing everything I can for you."

Sandra Billings has posed:
".. You got high?" Sandy says as that bit of information pulls her out of her pity-party. There's a slow blink of her eyes, brows raising. ".. You better have video of this. I can't imagine /you/, Doctor McCoy, getting high. Did you at least save some for me? God knows I could use a few hits right now to chill out." There's finally a laugh in her throat as she wipes at her eyes. "I love you too, so much, blueberry muffin."

Beast has posed:
"I've got some edibles, actually," Hank pats himself down and pulls a brownie out of his pocket. "Yeah, apparently I didn't eat everything they gave me." There's a little chuckle, "I didn't intend to get high, but a pot field I was in caught on fire."

Sandra Billings has posed:
"Mmhm." Sandy says with a yawn as she gives a long stretch of her body, then rubs a hand over her face. "It's like ... four in the morning. You almost here?" She says as he rolls out of bed again and plods her way to the front door to unlock it. "Door's open for you. Just crawl into bed with me when you get here. If I fall back asleep just wake me up." She says with another yawn. Once she piles back into her covers, she puts the phone on speaker, resting it on the pillow next to her.

Beast has posed:
"Yeah," says Beast. "I'll be there shortly. Let me let you get some sleep and I'll come snuggle up with you when I get there."
