Snake Eyes has posed:
It's a nice night to be out and about. Snake Eyes is here, wearing a mask that shows nothing more of his face than his eyes, a compression shirt, shorts, sneakers and a sling bag, on his way to meet up with Riana. He heads down the sidewalk towards their appointed meeting place, pulling his cell phone out of his pocket to send off a quick message to let her know that he's on his way.

The streets aren't entirely quiet. There's a bunch of folks out there enjoying the evening. Some of them may be up to no good, but it's hard to tell at this point. Mostly it's just a couple of shady characters standing in darkened areas off the beaten path. And maybe the group of clearly non-mutant frat bro types that have been drinking heavily are going to cause trouble.

Firefly (Barrows) has posed:
Josiah was on the porch of a building. He had a bible in hand seems to be giving a sermon. A few people are listening. "And I know it is hard, brothers and sisters, but we bring into this world through our actions. If we are to bring righteousness and justice, we must be righteous and just ourselves. Do not give into your rage when your brother or sister wrongs you, but rather forgive."

Josiah looks to the masked man and he goes back to the sermon. "My dear friends...It pains me to see people treated badly by our fellow man. Jesus Christ wanted to bring a brotherhood of people, a brotherhood of love and peace. Despite our god being claimed to be a vengeful and wrathful god, he loves all, even those who have been turned away from his light." He says loudly.

Wild Rose has posed:
There was a lot in between two buildings that had been repurposed as a small community area. It generally did not see a lot of use, and could use some repairs and cleaning up. But it would suffice for the time being. Riana was stepping out of her apartment building, with gi pants, a white t-shirt, and tennis shoes on. Her hair is pulled back away from her face, and she appears to be walking with a staff.

The sermon appears to be happening just a few doors down from her apartment building, and just a few more lots down from where she was bound. As her phone goes off, she pulls it from her pocket to give it a brief look, and reply to the message. Surely, though, what could it hurt to stop and listen a moment?

Snake Eyes has posed:
The sermon catches the attention of the masked man for a few seconds. He'll lift his chin in a friendly manner towards the preacher when he looks his way, but other than that Snake Eyes doesn't seem to be paying too much attention. His steps will take him towards Riana when he notices her heading in his direction. A hand raises to wave towards her in a friendly greeting.

Those loud, drunk guys walk down the sidewalk, some of them pointing out folks with obvious mutations. They throw mocking words in their direction, calling them 'mutie' or 'freak'. Lots of the people in the area are giving them nasty looks. A skinny guy with orange fur flips them the bird and calls them 'assholes'. The group of drunks laugh, the leader of their crew calling out to him, "Go back to Borneo, orangutan!"

Firefly (Barrows) has posed:
Josiah stops his sermon to see the drunks. He sighs as he gently rubs the bridge of his nose. He begins to walk over and he smiles. "Friends. You have the wealth to imbibe and be hedonistic. Why not revel with your fellows instead of spur them on. Lest I forget, this is mutant town, and if you cause too much problems..." He says softly.

He turns to the woman and the masked man and he turns back to the frat brothers, smile present on his face as he tries to be peaceful about it.

Wild Rose has posed:
Riana meets Snake's eyes for a moment, then glances over to the sunset-furred mutant. Without saying a single word, she allows her steps to take her over more in that direction, her staff tap-tap-tapping on the worn asphalt with each step. While not picking a fight, neither is she inclined to allow another mutant to potentially be an easy target for mockery or worse. For now, it was just words flung about by the drunks, as she places herself neatly between them, the furred mutant, and Josiah.

But when did things ever remain that simple?

"The gentleman has a point," she interjects, leaning upon her staff. "This is a public area open to all." She, however, makes no veiled about the possible outcome of too much trouble, eerily quiet and calm about the whole matter.

Snake Eyes has posed:
Snake, well, he can't talk. But seeing the other two stand up to the drunks and Riana get between them and their target he steps in as well and shakes his head at them slowly.

One of them points at the masked man and says, "That one's so ugly he can't show his face! What are you gonna do, anyway? My dad's a cop and his is a lawyer, you'd go to jail if you took a swing at us, especially just for making fun of monkey man and Uggo McMaskey."

Lifting a finger as if to tell them to pause, Snake produces his cell phone.

"Gonna call the cops on us, jerk?" taunts a drunk.

When Snake finishes swiping on his phone the machine says, "You will make my day if you take a swing at me. Please make my day." The ninja looks the dudes over expectantly.

Wild Rose has posed:
Riana shakes her head, and just smiles. "Nobody's taking a swing at anybody, unless you are the first to raise your hand. Besides," she adds. "If he's a monkey man, then he is far too advanced for the likes of you. Now please, let's just all go about our day in peace." Though she steps back, her grip on her staff shifts, her right hand sliding down the wood to a 'sweet spot' more in the center, instead of gripping it at the top like a walking staff.

Peace might come at a price.

Firefly (Barrows) has posed:
"And you believe that gives you the right to mock and judge your fellow man?" Josiah asks as he chuckles. "God is the one true judge, and he is watching. What you do here, may affect the rest of your life. So please." He says as he holds out a hand and a burst of light forms in his hand, becoming solid in the shape of an old fashioned mace. "Do not make me use this. Please."
