Popcorn - Movie Night!

Synopsis:	Buffy and Wil catch up over movies.

Buffy Summers has posed:
It's a relaxing late night and for once is nice and cool outside with a soft summer rainstorm washing out the sky. Occasionally there's a flash of lightning followed by a rumble of thunder, perhaps the best sort of night for watching scary movies.

Which is why Buffy invited Willow over for a spooky popcorn movie night! She's got a big bowl of popcorn set on the table along with a big bottle of rootbeer, and some left over pizza (because she's a terrible cook!).

"So then..." she smiles, "Here we are again...What sort of movie would you like to watch, Wil? I have 'Halloween, Bewitched, and The Others."

Willow Rosenberg has posed:
Oh, good choices!

"Mmm, Halloween." Of course. "It's so campy. Besides Jamie Lee Curtis is hot in that one." Willow has her pjs and slippers in. "I made some chocolate chip cookies.. actually they were for Spike, but I think it will be alright as long as I save him some."

Buffy Summers has posed:
Buffy Summers laughs, "You dont mind spooky scary? I mean even with the thunder and lightning going on outside...But I guess you're a lot tougher than you look too.." she gets up to put the DVD in before settling down to pop some popcorn in her mouth, munching away thoughtfully.

Mention of Spike does cause her to frown softly. "Hmm..Sounds like you two are pretty chummy lately.." she quirks a slight brow at that.

Willow Rosenberg has posed:
Willow head tilts. "Spike is a friend. Besides, I can take him out by myself." Sorta. She *thinks* she can take him out. Depends if force lightning is one of the things he's vulnerable to. "Do I have to vet him? *You* are pretty chummy." She's confused.

Buffy Summers has posed:
Buffy Summers smiles. "Oh, I'm sure you could fry him to a crisp if you wanted to.." she tilts her head, regarding her curiously, "You did some pretty impressive things at the Justice League didn't you? Rescuing Wonder woman and fighting monsters and all that? What was that like? I'm actually curious, and maybe a little afraid to see your limits..I'll bet you could give Harry a run for his money.."

She chuckles a bit, knowing she still has to introduce the wizard and witch. "Me? Chummy with Spike?" Buffy shrugs and sighs, "Not really..I mean, we used to be pretty close, then he left for a while, then came back and left and came back, and now he's all angry and bitter and what not. But whatever. It's not like I owe him or anything. It's not like we have a *thing* or anything.."

So why does she seem bothered by it?

Willow Rosenberg has posed:
"Spike loves you. He's trying to be noble and let you choose. Didn't you realize that? He loves you." How does she not realize that? For the moment her past is forgotten.

Buffy Summers has posed:
Buffy Summers sighs and shrugs, hugging her legs. "So he says, as if he can even understand love. He's a demon remember? He'd probably kill me once he gets that chip out of his head. And that makes me a little scared. Oh I know, he's protected Dawn a lot, and he's helped me out many times. Just...I dunno..Is that love? Or lust? Obsession?"

She frowns as she picks at her popcorn. "Besides, I'm in love with someone else, although...I just wish he were around more often, it sucks that his club is picking up so much lately."

Willow Rosenberg has posed:
Willow shakes her head. "He loves you. Do you really think that his emotions are dictated due to his chip? Then why not have his demeanor all the time. No, he loves you. Despite him being a demon." Wow, how does Buffy not see it. "He's letting you have Thomas. He loves you that much."

Willow didn't have much to say about Thomas' absence. "Sorry?"

Buffy Summers has posed:
Buffy Summers hmms, "I suppose not. I guess you're right, just...How? Why? All we ever do is fight? why's he feel that way and yet he acts so bitter and angry at me all the time? Is it just..Jealousy?" she frowns, "And he's just giving up without a fight?"

Buffy shrugs and sighs. It's almost like she wishes he'd fight harder, but, she doesnt have that right, even if she feels so lonely lately. "It's okay, not your fault, Wils. But thank you. What about you, how have you been lately? I've been worried about you. You seemed pretty depressed the other day.."

Willow Rosenberg has posed:
"He doesn't want to fight you, sheesh. Especially when he's doing the best he can. His grumpiness, well, what do you think of it everyday, he came over and told how wonderful his life was, and didn't ever notice how you felt?" Willow tried to be gentle as she could be.

Buffy Summers has posed:
Buffy Summers hmms and shrugs, "I guess it must be hard..I mean, he's like..Like a neutered demon. He cant be evil, struggles to be truly good but I suppose at least he's trying, and that's something right?" she smiles sadly, "Maybe I'm too hard on him, I should cut him some slack, right?" Buffy sighs, "I guess...I never really thought of it that way. I kinda feel terrible. I should talk to him about it."

Willow Rosenberg has posed:
Willow smiles somewhat. "Something like that. At least, think about. I mean, he is a demon!"
