Cast of Characters: Nightwing, Willow Rosenberg

Nightwing has posed:
As far as Nightwing is concerned, it is early. Just after duck, the shadows are lengthening but to call it night would be inaccurate and very generous towards the nascent darkness. Evening might be a better term for it. This is too early to be out in his line of work, but he has a palace to be in Gotham tonight, so here he is.

Bypassing the security to get in was a little more difficult than he would have thought. Creeping in via the backroom is easy. His footfalls are nigh silent and silent. The door tilts open ever so slightly as he creeps out, quiet as a mouse. The boots barely make any noise and his movements are smooth, to let a stray eye slide over him. Still, to protect his entrance, nightwing tosses a single ball bearing towards the opposite wall to make a soft click and clatter over in the other part of the store as he darts into the relative shade of one of the large displays. With a faint bit of annoyance, he ducks lower. Several of the shelves are lit to better show off the merchandise.

Nightwing is not here shopping. He is here to talk business, but he has a feeling he missed the blond vampire slayer.

Willow Rosenberg has posed:
Willow has just flipped the sign from 'open' to 'closed', and turned off the outer store's lights. Everything looks as it should be, so she takes the float out of the cash register, to put away. "Boy, we did awful today." She shakes her head. "Probably just as well." She looks to the door leading to the dojo. "I should. Someone should give me some hand-to-hand. Or something."

Float is tidied up, and she looks at the door leading to the dojo, and frowns. It only takes a minute to make up her mind. Yep, she's going to the dojo, after all, everybody was gone - who would stop her this time?

Unfortunately that when the ball hits the other side of the room.

"Hi? Anybody here?" She began to cast, just in case.

Nightwing has posed:
The voice is low but pitched to carry no too much further than Willow's location. Stepping from the shadows is behind her, but not particularly menacing. "I am sure the slayer can teach you things. I am going to step out from behind a shelf. My hands are going to be up. IOnce you see me, you will understand why I cannot simply step up to the counter."

A black and blue gloved hand pokes out from behind the shelf. It is followed by another one. "I am stepping out." He's tall and muscular in a lean, hard sort of way. His hair is short and perfectly tossed by the wind. His features are obscured by the mask. He slowly opens his mouth and lets her get a look. No fangs. "Look ma, no fangs?" He asks afterwards. His footsteps as he steps out are soundless.

"If I wanted to hurt you it would have happened. I have no interest in that. None at all. I'm Nightwing. I'm Justice league and I am here to talk."

Willow Rosenberg has posed:
"You should have sneaked up on me. I have magic.. wait, you're part of a Justice League of America? Prove it. Where do they go to meet in person." She couldn't think of anything better than that. But it was in space. Surely, only the members knew of that. Willow put her hands down, but did not remove the tiny bit of her charm - he still could be lying.

Nightwing has posed:
One finger, the index on his left hand merely points upwards as the other fingers briefly lower. Nightwing stands that way for a moment before raising his fingertips. Nightwing tilts his chin as if to show that he is giving her a hard look. It's subtle. It's not Batman's glower. This is friendlier, but some still find it unnerving.

"Do I need to do the secret handshake? Or call Superman to give me a character reference? I'd call the Batman, but no one wants him to show up. The cape gets everywhere and stirs up the dust bunnies." He keeps the banter light.

"I wanted to talk to the Slayer about opening up a surveillance system and a dispatcher to maybe help you patrol smarter. Have a few hours more sleep or for a social life while patrolling more effectively."

Willow Rosenberg has posed:
"Yes. And nobody wants Batman on their side." Willow giggles. "How come I've never met you. When Superman was.. well, indisposed." But then, he come out with business, and of course, Buffy was needed, and her face fell. "Oh. I guess you will want to.. wait, surveillance? Thats me, not Buffy!"

Nightwing has posed:
Nightwing says, "Good. I work with Oracle. She is slowly becoming the dispatcher for many disparate groups. She is building a network of cameras throughout Gotham and the 'Haven. So far, I have kept her out of the areas you guys frequent, out of respect. You guys are fighting a fight that I am ill-equipped to battle and honestly? I have so many other things that tear me away from the 'Haven as it is. You deserve back up. I deserve back up. It is good to have a friendly ear. A person outside the chain of command. Just someone else you can lean on in a pinch. I can be that for you, and you for me." Nightwing says it simply and directly.

"We want to extend the cameras into your areas and compile data. It should allow you to work smarter. You could engage in preemptive fights, maybe find nests? Vampire lairs are nests, right? Nests of vampires. Your work could maybe be made a little less risky with a better plan and coordination." As he speaks he slowly lowers his hands."

Willow Rosenberg has posed:
Willow nods, then sighs. "I really do think Buffy should be in this. I.. she knows much better what you'd be looking at, not me. I mean, great! But she's the one who you should be talking to." Rats.

Nightwing has posed:
"I understand. I figure she is not available." Nightwing considers Willow for a long moment. "You are league. Ask them, and they will put us back in contact." There. It's simple, at least as far as he is concerned. Nightwing tilts his head to one side. "You'll let me know." it is not really a question so much as a statement.

"You guys do tight, efficient work. If you opt not to join in, I will keep Oracle from posting cameras in your usual areas. You deserve some room to breath. Are we on the same page?"

Willow Rosenberg has posed:
"Oh yes, I'll have to let Buffy know. You can leave word at the same place. I jury watchtower duty the weekend. Will that give enough time?" Willow can't her head at him. "Weird, I cant remember to face."

Nightwing has posed:
"That's the point of the mask. It might not look like much, but it covers most everything. Also, the giant man dressed like a bat tends to take the air out of the room." Nightwing moves towards his entry point. "There is not a time limit. That would be something artificial. Let me know. We'll catch up, and uh, try to stay safe out there, okay?" He gives a little wave as he moves to leave.
