Date of Scene: 10 September 2020
Location: Club Evolution, Mutant Town
Synopsis: Andrea and Nevada spend some time at the club to burn the night away. Joan drops her phone in the sink. Megan and Sam make an appearance.
Cast of Characters: Rage, Barghest, Cannonball, Joan Wright, Pixie

Rage has posed:
It's the last week before college starts and Andrea is seeing the weekend approaching rather quickly. She is both excited and nervous, but definitely more excited. For now, she will spend some time at her favorite club, settled in the VIP section as per the usual, staring moon eyes at a certain waiter with red wings who is moving about the tables collecting dishes and tabs. Tonight she's wearing a form fitting black dress that hits at her knees with a pair of silver tights underneath. She has on only a hint of makeup and her hair is styled just enough to be proper for a club.

She definitely plans on getting some dancing in at some point, perhaps when this red winged Southern boy takes a break or a lunch.

Glancing over to her twin brother at her side, she leans in and bumps her shoulder against his. "So, you going to go out there and show off what Megan has been teaching you?" She teases Nevada with a wry grin, then reaches over for her drink to take a sip from it.

Barghest has posed:
There's no school for him and only a potential of employment, so Nevada has plenty of time to do nothing! Or hang out with his sister. With a gradient dark to light blue tee and black jeans and shaggy hair that's needing a cut, he's an unassuming counterpart to his quietly glamorous twin. The grin is the same, though, an amused echo as he glances aside to her.

"You sure I ain't gonna ruin your good image? I'm not nearly as charismatic looking like this. Thought I have been practicing... a little. When no one is looking."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie works as the manager here, and the nice thing about that is once he has finished all the paper work, he can hang out and be at work at the same times. He sees Andrea and Nevada, he heads over towards the, bringing a large tray with food and drinks for them and himself

Joan Wright has posed:
After stopping by the mutant town area to tend to a late night building emergency, Joan is a little bit tired. Handling the situation took a little longer than expected and her ride home drove off. THE NERVE. Being that she didn't want to make the whole trek home or linger outside while waiting for a replacement ride, Joan has opted to go indoors at a reasonably well populated and safe looking establishment to wait for her ride.

And this is how we find the brown haired architect at Club Evolution. It's not exactly her scene but there are enough elements inside the building that got her interest. The mural in front of the mutant heroes and the iron works are just a few. The murals in the passageway are more reason.

Lets be honest. Joan took a lot longer setting foot in the actual club than most as she kept stopping to look at the artwork. But EVENTUALLY. She comes through the doors.

Pixie has posed:
Megan Gwynn steps into club evo after an exhausting first week at college (Okaay no homework but still in summer mode, blergh..) Anyway, it's time to chill out and steps steps in, dressed i. casual blue jeans, a thin green t-shirt and sandals. She yawns as she steps in, scanning the room for a place to sit. Of course the music that's playing has her tapping her foot, and she wanders to the dance floor for a while, swaying the music.

Rage has posed:
"No one can ruin my good image. I don't have a single bad one." Andrea says as she gives a dramatic hair flip over one shoulder before giving him that same twin grin. "You need a haircut by the way. Tomorrow, we'll go to my stylist and we'll get that fixed. You're starting to look like a college dropout. Speaking of, if you want to attend classes with me, I can pay your tuition."

Lifting a hand to wave to Sam as he approaches, she smiles at her friend. "Hey you. Club is popping tonight and that guy with the red wings is /really/ hot. Do you think you can get me his number?" She says with a giggle.

Nudging Nevada again, she gives a lift of her chin. "There's Megan. You going to show her how much you've been practicing?"

Barghest has posed:
"Challenge accepted!" Nevada declares with a thump of the side of his fist against the tabletop. It's mostly to make a point as he only uses enough force to rattle the glasses. Her next statement brings an awkward twitch to the corner of his mouth and under one eye. "Your... stylis-- oh, oh no. You're not talking about who I think you're talking about? Pretty sure I wouldn't come out alive. I'll... uh, think on college. Kinda hard to be *in* class. Online maybe, own pace kinda thing. I still need to make some of my own money one of these days."

There's a grin up towards Sam as he arrives at the table and he just laughs, "Why, did he change it on you to get some peace and quiet?" He teases his sister, reflexively leaning away from her in anticipation of the swinging hand. And oh! Distraction. He keeps on the track to slide his way to the end of the seat and then gets out. "Lemme go tell her we're here."

And he will, limp-walking his way over towards Megan. He passes Joan on the way and there's a bob of his head and a quick, "Yo." before he continues, calling out, "Megan!"

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie smirks a bit to Andrea' and says "I think he might be taken, ever time I see him around this specific girl, he and she both are looking at each other with these puppy dog lovey dovey eyes." He chuckles a bit and nods over to Nevada, and says "Don't worry she is light on her feet almost like she is flying." He teases a bit about Megan, and back to Andrea "Ok if I join you?" He asks

Joan Wright has posed:
Reaching the inside of the club, Joan shuffles over to the side so as not to block the doorway. Hmm. Yes. This'll do for an area to wait. Unzipping a pocket on her pants, she fishes out a phone and checks her notifications. Hmm. Ok. she probably has time for one drink.

Smiling, she heads over towards the bar, pausing as Nevada greets her in passing. "And hello to you too." She greets back cheerfully, continuing on her path. It's quite apparent as she approaches that she's definitely no VIP, nor is she dressed for clubbing. While the blouse is reasonably cute, it's definitely made of a more resillient fabric than most club going clothes are. But the smile she shares to the person tending the bar is friendly enough and the way she carries herself appears indicative that she's good for whatever she puts on her tab. "Hi. Do you have a Brooklyn Lager?" She pauses, a brow raising at the head shake. "Oh that's ok. It was worth a try. I'll take a Yuengling then."

Pixie has posed:
Megan Gwynn closes her eyes as she swings and twirls and dances to the music, wings fluttering behind her. Ahh, it's good to break loose after classes and some recent, tense situations. Of course she's not watching and will practically crash into Joan if she doesn't move out of the way in time. "Meeep! I'm sorry!" she flails, then smiles faintly, catching herself as she spies Nevada, "Hey you, hows it going? It's been a while! Wow, that's quite the haircut."

Rage has posed:
"See you, Nev." Andrea waves her twin brother off as he goes to stalk the dance floor, then gives a grin over to Sam. "Sure, can join us, obviously. Too bad about the cute guy though. She has to be a lucky girl." As she eases back into the chair, she picks her phone up and sends off a quick text, giggling quietly before she tucks it into her purse. "How you doing by the way?" She asks as she draws her drink closer to her.

She glances off to the dance floor to watch Megan and Nevada interact for a moment, curious to see if her brother will finally make a move or not. "Did Jay tell you I showed him the new music video I have coming out for my single, Icarus? He got pretty emotional afterwards."

Barghest has posed:
"You mean lack thereof, right?" Nevada chuckles at Megan with a wink. "I tend to forget regular haircuts, but yeah, it's getting a bit too close to apocalypse mullet for my liking. Andy and I are here, table's thatway." He gestures with a thumb behind him to the table. "Glad to run into you, it's been too long."

Woe, before dances can be had, Megan's phone starts buzzing. Nevada shares a quick, "Come join us when you're done!" before leaving her to it and limping his way back towards the table.

"Told her where we are, had to take a call." He says to Andrea as he retakes his seat and sweeps his glass back over.

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie shakes his head, and says "Been kind of busy have nt had a chance to chat with him much, but I wager it ment a lot to him." He looks over to the others and smiles a bit "So ready for school?

Joan Wright has posed:
As the bartender works to get her beer poured, Joan fiddles with her phone, checking for notifications again. With her back to most foot traffic, she does not see Megan until the pixie bumps into her in passing, causing for her to drop the phone.

Eyes widen as panic causes for things to slow down in her sense of perception. She knows the sensation of the phone's presence vanishing from her fingertips. The sinking feeling in her stomach as the otterboxed device smacks the bartop and the long, drawn out cry as she watches it continue sliding, dropping into the no man's land of the bar sink.

For everyone else, Boop! Slide! "NOOOO!" And now an architect is flopped on the bartop to try and catch the phone. CLUNK! She failed.

Rage has posed:
"Yeah, he was crying by the time it was done. It was pretty heavy on the suicide prevention angle I was trying to really showcase in the video. It's probably my more .. ah .. darkest song I've ever penned and produced." Andrea says as she reaches for a nacho to pop into her mouth.

With Nevada's return, she nods her head to him. "Okay, cool. Would be glad to talk to her again. Looks like you get out of dancing for now." She says with a giggle.

The bit of humor pauses as she hears Joan, then watches her try to launch herself over the bar after her phone. There's a bit of a buzz in the club around her as it appears a few others are trying to help her. "Uh oh. Looks like you gotta take care of something." She says to Sam.

Barghest has posed:
"For now, I'll catch her after." Nevada says to Andrea as reaches over to snag a few of the nachos. "That was one hell of a video. Dark, sure, but it's an incredible story. I hope people can appreciate it, not whine about the lack of glitter. But ya know you can't please everyone."

He leans himself back in his chair with a subtle pop of his back and glances over towards the uproar over towards the bar. "...oof, that didn't sound like it went well."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie nods, and says "If you will excuse me." He stands and heads over towards the bar to handle things as he gets near he will speak up "Excuse me is there something wrong?" He asks at the woman trying to climb over the bar, most people try that for worse reasons than seems she is trying.

Joan Wright has posed:
Gravity not helping with the less than graceful attempt to catch her phone, Joan grumbles as she starts to push herself back in her seat. "Fudgenuts." She grumbles, bringing a hand up to her face. The frown deepens as she realizes how warm she's gotten. Great. She probably looks like a tomato now.

When asked if anything's wrong she gives a slight groan. "There's a lack of holes to crawl into and hide for one." She replies, shaking her head. Taking a deep breath and exhaling she lowers the hand, giving an embarassed look to Sam. "I got bumped into and lost my grip. I think my phone might have landed in your sink."

Pixie has posed:
Megan Gwynn meepers as she realized she caused Joan to drop her phone. "Oh no, I'm soooo sorry! I hope I didn't break it? I'll totally pay for it.." tho she really needs a job. And then Nevada's heading off and she smiles weakly, distracted, "Good to see you again too, Nev..Gimme a sec and we can catch up, k?" she waves towards Andrea's table before glancing back at Joan.

Rage has posed:
Propping her chin up, Andrea watches Sam head over to tend to Joan, then gives a glance to Nevada. She pops another chip into her mouth for a solid crunch, then gives a lick of her lips. "So, college? You wanna go or what? I'll pay for you to take general stuff until you figure out what you wanna do. Would get you out of the house and not talking to ghosts."

Barghest has posed:
Nevada keeps one ear turned towards the uproar, but most of his focus is on his sister. He shoves another half a fistful of cheesed chips into his mouth and muttering around his crunching, "I guess, just feel bad using your money. I figure I'm going to have my terrible, er, 'shift' all my life. A nine to five's gonna be a bitch to keep. So I guess I need to figure out what kind of jobs are a make your own hours and go from there. Even a plumber need to show up at someone's house at an appointed time, and I can never guarantee I'll be there. Maybe I can find something I can use to help pay you back, too. Someday."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie looks over, and says "Oh." He hmms, and the bartender will fish the phone out and Sam says "Have Micky come out a moment." The Bartender nods, and calls a guy who comes out, slightly chubby and blue skin. Sam looks over and says "Micky can ya have a look at this?" The guy nods, andtakes the phone and concentraes on it a moment, and then hands it to Sam who passes over a now bone dry phone over to Joan "That should be ok now."

Joan Wright has posed:
Hearing the apology, Joan turns her head to look to the source. She tries to force a smile upon her face. "It's ok. You didn't mean to, right?"

She watches as the phone gets returned to her, nice and dry. "Thanks." She replies, smile strengthening as she taps the button to make sure the screen still brings up the lock screen. "Fixing buildings is one thing but phones are another." She lets out another breath. posture relaxing. She nods. "Thanks." Ok. Disaster averted, she'll probably just keep her drink count to the one she just ordered so she can avoid further ones.

Pixie has posed:
Megan Gwynn breathes a sigh of relief, "Oooh thank goodness..Thanks Sam!" she beams at him, "Yeaaah, I guess I had things on my mind..Sorry again! I haven't seen you around here before, are you new?"

Rage has posed:
"You're my brother and it's okay for you to mooch off me considering the circumstances." Andrea says as she takes a nacho and pops it into her mouth again for another round of chewing. "You can always be a mortician or something." She teases him. "Or a ditch digger. They don't have full time hours. They just work around when people kick it. That's hardly a nine to five. It can also help you find new customers." She teases him with a bump of the shoulder. "Maybe not a girlfriend though."

Barghest has posed:
"HAH." Nevada barks out a laugh that is ever so slightly bark-like. Just a teensy bit. Or maybe it's because he's sticking another chip in his mouth. "That actually is true. I could do that. At least it's a one stop shop, so long as I can hang on a stool for a good part of the day. Around here business is probably booming. I guess morticians actually do have to go to school. I never really thought about it seriously."

He bumps his shoulder back into her's as he teases, "Hey now, some people are in to the dark and creepy. Maybe one of your new fans? I'll think on it, though. Cross my heart, promise. I just need to figure out where I go from here. At least I'm in the right city for wild and crazy opportunities, right? ...or is that Vegas?"

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie looks over and says "Micky is a handy guy to have around," He thanks the young man again, and looks over tot he ladies and says "Glad I could help, and get it sorted out, I am sure she knows ya ment no harm Megan.

Joan Wright has posed:
Joan looks over to Megan, giving a nod, "To here. Yes. There was a work emergency that kept me on this side of town late so, I thought I'd come in here to wait for my ride home." She was nodding to the phone. "Actually why I had my phone out to begin with."

She looks back to Sam and to the departing Micky. "Thank you!" She looks to the bartender as her beer is set down in front of her. "And thank you too!"

Pixie has posed:
Megan Gwynn smiles at Joan and Sam both. "Good to know. Now that we got that sorted, I'm starving! And I see my friends over there, care to join me? I'm Megan by the way." she takes a step towards Nev and Andrea's table, but pauses to see if Sam and a Joan will join her.

Rage has posed:
"A lot of people are into the dark and creepy. I can give you a few websites." Andrea says as she nudges her brother with a giggle. "See, I'm full of good ideas. I'll even help you look into it. I got a free day tomorrow. I'm sleeping in for a bit though since I plan on staying up until Jay gets off work."

"I think Vegas is definitely more wild and crazy. New York is just weird. San Francisco though is where the party is at. I'd love to go back home for a long weekend and show you around my old stomping grounds when I was younger."

Barghest has posed:
"On the internet, there is a person for everything and a thing for every person." Nevada says with a grave note, as if he's probably been down some 3 am rabbit holes on a questionable VPN that are best left unmentioned and permanently deleted from the mind's browser history.

"But we should! Winter break, maybe? We can escape the cold and go get some sun. I hate the cold, it makes my bones hurt. I'd like to see where you grew up and you can show me around and introduce me to these crazy parties. Clearly I've been poking my nose in the wrong spots."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie will nod, and talks to the Bartender to have some more food and refills sent over to the table. He has got to know a bit about Nevada. He will hold chairs out for the ladies if they join him at the table "Sorry about having to step away for a moment."

Joan Wright has posed:
"I probably won't be here for long." Joan replies back to Megan, giving an apologetic look. "I assume I have time for just one beer before my ride shows up. Which reminds me. I should probably square up now so there's less waiting later."

Pixie has posed:
Megan Gwynn smiles, "One beer sounds good, Cmon!" she leads her to the table, smiling and waving, "Hey Andrea, Nevada, this is Joan. Sam just saved her phone from a grisly end!" she smirks as she slides into a seat. "How've you all been? It's been a while, still curious about that concert, Andrea."

Rage has posed:
"You clearly have." Andrea says as she finishes her drink, then gives a long stretch of her body outwards before she pushes up to her feet. "But we will do that over the winter. You, me and Jay. We'll make a weekend of it. I'm going to go dancing, I can see Jay giving me the wave." She says as she ruffles her brother's hair before she heads for the dance floor to grab the hands of her red winged beau.
