Synopsis: Summary needed
Cast of Characters: Gambit, Polaris, Rogue

Gambit has posed:
Off the coast of Florida, at an altitude of 45,000 feet, the Blackbird screams through the atmosphere southbound with haste towards their latest mission of the coast of daytona.

Remy checks the straps to his seat as the approach a yacht that has a billow of black smoke coming from the aft section. And there's a few people hanging from the front with their hands waving back and forth attempting to find rescue from their dire situation.

Polaris has posed:
Sitting near a window, Lorna leans a little to look out and whistles low. "That looks bad. Want me to stop the sinking?" The green haired mutant asks, decidedly concerned for the people hanging off.

Rogue has posed:
Rogue is seated in the back of the plane on her phone and she's just tapping at the screen, she's got her face down and isn't paying any atteniong because it was like an hour long flight to get here. She didn't hear what the two of them were saying up front either, as someone would have to get her attention if they needed it.

Gambit has posed:
"If'n you can do t'at Ah can keep the plane in t'e air, I'd be pretty useless makin' mo 'splosions wouldn' help." Remy says with a wink as he grabs the flight stick and nods to the two women who can actually fly. "You two take care o' t'is one, I'll keep t'e way home outta t'e watah."

Polaris has posed:
"Sure. Rogue! Wanna play Helicopter rescue? I'll-shit. She shouldn't carry people up." Polaris makes a face and walks over to bump the younger woman's shoulder. "Hey, gonna make a basket for you, how much can you lift?" She asks, eyes already going white as her power reaches down to the yacht.

Rogue has posed:
Rogue looked up from her phone when Polaris arrived and then she reached up to pull the ear buds out of her ears from beneath her brown/white hair. "Are we there yet?" She asked with a smirk. "Oh, uh.... Hank said that I am field ttested at around sixty to seventy five tons... though he said if I raged-out, I might even be able t'push myself up to a hundred, he wasn't sure."

Rogue looked forward toward the cockpit and Pilot Remy. "Does he even know how t'fly this thing?" She asked then.

Gambit has posed:
"Course Ah know how t' fly!" Remy says and motions with his head towards the back and then flips a switch lifting the hatch door and bringing the black bird in to hover not too far away from the flaming boat.

There's people on board near the front trying to save their own skins, most are people in tiny bikinis and wait staff like they're ready to film a porno or something. But nope the boat's on fire. "Help!" people call out with a scream, up and down the float.

Polaris has posed:
"He can't fly like a birdy and I can't fly the plane and raise the boat-well, I could, but I'd have a real fucking migrane for doing it." Polaris comments and walks over to the hatch to open the ramp up for their exit. "So, we load the basket and you haul it up?" She suggests. "Plenty of metal to rig something. Oh look fire. We do it the fast way then." Polaris jumps out of the plane and drops a little. The green clad X-Man rips off a strip of the boat of Rogue to fold into a people holder. Most of her attention seems to be on keeping the burning ship from sinking until they get everyone off of it.

Rogue has posed:
Rogue used the handrails on the ceiling to walk toward the open hatch when Remy lowered it, the wind from outside was humid and muggy and instantly made her sweat inside of that black bodysuit she was wearing. She looked back at Remy at the fore of the plane and then looked over to Lorna and nodded at her. "Okay." She shouted over the wind and the sound of the jet outside.

Rogue looked a bit nervous... she hasn't ever done anything quit this heroic before, this was like Dwayne Johnson-movie kinda heroic stuff. With a heavy exhale, Rogue followed Lorna out into the air, her hair flowing all around her head and shoulders as she descended to the metal part Lorna was controling.

Rogue would move to help make the person-basket, but her eyes couldn't help but look at the people who were in-peril and were now screaming for them to help... screaming for 'mutants' to 'help' them, she wondered how many of them hated mutants only hours earlier.

Gambit has posed:
As the jet comes in to hover not too far off from the boat, the two X-women get to work saving the stranded passengers when another explosion rocks the back cabin on the boat, causing the whole thing to lurch forward as the waves rock it as well.

Remy says over the comm system. "Hey, you two keep a heads up out t'ere. Mighty dangerous."

But if anyone can handle themselves it's these two women.

Polaris has posed:
The explosion get's Lorna's attention. "Alright , no time to lose I see. Rogue, once you have the basket lets hold it just above the water, it'll get heavy if we're lifting it from water. " She does her bit to help, peeling the rails off the yacht and fusing them together to give Rogue a sturdy handle for the basket before descending. "As soon as we have the device ready we're airlifting you all out." Polaris announces in her command voice, despite using scary metal powers. "We're the X-Men, please stay callm, we want to get the injured out first." She announces and looks them all over. "Is everyone off the boat? Was there anyone inside?"

Rogue has posed:
Rogue tried to stay focused and she just let Lorna do the commanding, she was the teenager here who was a bit shell shocked at what she was seeing, but she was trying to keep it together... she wasn't sure how many people had died here today already and she was trying NOT to think of those things.

Rogue kept the metal basket down by the water and she flew forward to reached a gloved hand out to a young girl who looked to be about her age... wiggling fingers the two reached together and Rogue took her hand. "Ah got ya." She told the young blonde in the bathing suit. "Come on...." She was about to pull her to safety and put her in the metal basket but one of the teenage boys leapt at Rogue to try to jump on the flying mutant which made her tug the girl from the boat by accident and send her spiraling down into the water!

Rogue screamed loudly and caught the boy who had his arms wrapped around her shoulders, afraid he was going to touch her at any second!

Gambit has posed:
Remy calls out "Focus, y'all doin' good!" He isn't able to do much but keep out of the way and be on stand by.

The woman that falls from the boat catches onto the basket by the lip and holds on for dear life, screaming to save her and get her away from the boat and back to shore, but much less succinct like.

The people that hear Lorna all keep freaking out, but they seem to calm a bit and seem to have hope for this dire situation.

Polaris has posed:
Flying over, Polaris bodily lifts the man off Rogue and drops him with out ceremony in the basket. "I'll thank you to not assault my team mate." She calls loudly and looks for the calmest in the water. "Are there any souls in the boat still?" She calls out more loudly, starting to haul people into the raft thing while she waits on her answer. "You're safe, we can fly you all to the coast again, PLEASE BE CALM." She says loudly, perfectly calm as she tries to calm the people in the water.

Rogue has posed:
Rogue could hold the basket like it was nothing, even with all the people in it looking up at her with dumbfounded expression as to how a teenage girl could do such a thing. "Thanks." She said to Lorna when she got that boy off of her, she smirked and then looked over at the boat and then over at the Blackbird that was loudly hovering around using its VTOL systems. "Ah can't see anyone else!" Rogue shouted over it all. "No idea how many could be inside'a that thing!"

Gambit has posed:
"How are we supposed to be ca--!"

KABOOM!!!

Another explosion rocks the boat and the thing is really trying to sink now when a single voice raises above the screaming and hollering.

"Where's Jermey?" one of the women asks with her head turned up towards Lorna.

Polaris has posed:
"Rogue, basket's yours." Lorna says and looks very calm. She glances to the woman. "I'll look." She tells her and glances to Rogue. "You're in charge out here." She tells the girl and draws a deep breath, dropping onto the exploding ship and raising her arms to raise the ship from the water as her eyes go white.

Rogue has posed:
Rogue adjusted her gloved hands on the metal handle that Lorna had constructed for her. She watched the green haired teacher give the orders and she responded with a nod of acknowledgement. Rogue took the basket back away from the doomed ship another twenty feet or so, flying at an easy speed so as to not rock the gentle little humans inside of it any more than they already had been today.

"Are we puttin' people inside the 'Bird, or am Ah gonna fly'em back t'shore?" She asked over the commpiece latched to her right ear beneath her hair.

Gambit has posed:
"Ah t'ink t'e sho'e would be t'e safes' place fo' 'em, non cheri?" The cajun responds with his usual calm sultry demeanor. I think someone needs to talk to him about communicating clearly during a crisis.

Jeremy, is likely what has been causing not only the explosions, but is what had Charles in a huff enough to send the X-men out on a rescue mission across the country. The newly mutated man is standing in the middle of the cabin, and by standing, his legs have sunk into the floor of the room and he appears to begin at the waist, the rest of his body and limbs have begun changing into a bluish semi-translucient goop.

He cries out in pain, fear and basically as his last resort.

"HELP ME ANYONE!"

The man is sinking into the boat and likely the water beneath.

Polaris has posed:
"Son of a bitch." Polaris mutters. She moves carefully, keeping the ship above water as she walks into the cabin. "Jeremy? My name is Polaris, I'm here to help you. I need you to take a deep breath, ok?" She asks and draws a deep breath to show him as she scrambles to puzzle out how to help the man-goo.

Rogue has posed:
"So much for 'secret jet' then." Rogue muttered back over the comm to the smarmy Cajun inside of it.

"Hold still, ya'll." Rogue said down to the faces look between her, the boat, and the Blackbird.

Leaning her body forward, holding the handle beneath her, Rogue flew toward the back of the SR-77. "Hold it still, ya mustache." Rogue said to the pilot of the plane.

Once up near to the backend of it, Rogue angled the 'basket' so that its lip touched the back ramp of the Blackbird and everyone onboard started to move to board the SR-77 and get out of the makeshift rescue device.

Gambit has posed:
Flipping a trio of toggle-switches, Remy sets the ship to hover and turns around out of the pilot's chair and slips out of his restraints. Moving back in the ship, Remy is quickly there to gather the group of people and help them find a secure spot within the advanced plane. "Keep yo hands and arms inside t'e ship at all times an' we'll get you home safely shortly."

Jeremy however tries to take a deep breath as Lorna demands, but he starts to hyperventilate. The young man is scared and disolving faster than his mind knows how to cope with his mutation. "Save me!" He cries between gasps for air as he leans for Lorna his bluish see-through hand reaching for her and

SPLAT

He falls face first onto the floor and is trying to roll over but his arm doesn't stay solid enough long enough to succeed.

Polaris has posed:
"Breath, I'm right here with you." Lorna says, dropping to a warmer, soothing voice. "You're going to be alright now. I'm going to get you out of here, is that ok?" She asks, walking closer and letting an orb of electromagnetic energy encircling them both as she kneels to be closer to the scared man. The force field hopefully keeping goo man from melting away. Sweat gathers on her brow as she tries to hold her shield and the ship. "We need to walk, do you think you could do that? Nice big breaths and when you feel a little calmer, solid, we'll get up and walk, alright?"

Rogue has posed:
Once the last person was board the Blackbird, Rogue looked forward at Remy, she was just hovering there with her white/brown hair wildly flowing around her cause of all the winds outside of the Jet's aft.

"Where the hell is the coast guard?!" Rogue shouted over the noise toward Remy. She didn't wait for an answer though, instead she turned and flew back toward the soon-to-be-ocean-floor-docoration and she zipped over head of it, trying to spot Lorna inside to see if she could help.

Gambit has posed:
"I don-" And she's gone. Remy sighs and gives a smile to one of the bikini clad women and then as he turns around, "Buckle up y'all, t'is gonna get bumpy."

The man's brown eyes lock onto Lorna's and he starts trying to breath, and slowly, his arm solidifies, but it's still gooey looking and he rolls over onto his back with another splat. "I- I'm trying but I'm scared." The bubble holds most of him intact, however the portion of him that went through the floor is gone, as of this moment, the electro-magnetic field severing his mental connection with the now liquid that was his legs. Good news he wouldn't know or feel this disconnect, as he thought his legs were gone anyways.

Polaris has posed:
Seeing his roll over, Lorna drops the shield since she can't drop the boat. Taking a risk, she reaches out and tries to gather him in her arms. "It's ok. I'd be scared too. Breath, think about being whole, think nice solid breaths." She says as soothingly as she can. "I'm one of the good guys, I won't let you go down with the ship." She tells him. The green eyed girl looks out the windows of the cabin and speaks into their comms. "We're taking a breather here, Jeremy and I. A-okay, we'll be ready to move and get on the plane in no time." She looks down at Jeremy with her prettiest smile. "Right Jer? A-ok."

Rogue has posed:
Rogue flew down along the starboard side of the boat and she dropped the metal basket causing it to free fall about fifteen feet and then SPLASH into the water with a big foof of water!

A swooping motion later and Rogue flew up to one of the windows to look in on Polaris... And then.... ELBOW SMASH... glass shattering!

"Is this boat more than a hundred tons ya think?" Rogue asked her teacher inside of the boat. "If not, Ah just like... go unde'ah it and hold my breath, then like, fly it back to the 'sho'e'." She offered, while simultaneously poking fun at Remy's accent, as if hers was much easier to understand.

Gambit has posed:
"I 'eard t'at Rogue!" The man responds into her ear.

Jeremy tries to wrap one of his arms around Lorna's shoulder to help her support him as he keeps trying to focus on his breathing and slowly his body thins out as his legs seem to grow out of his torso, taking mass from his form but not shrinking, like weight shifting in a box. He's the same weight, just being spread out slowly. "I- I- I trust you green witch."

Polaris has posed:
"My name is Polaris. It's nice to meet you Jer. This is Rogue." She adds and looks to her student. Her voice is warm and soothing, but Rogue might be able to see the strain on her face. "I have the ship, we aren't gonna sink." She assures her and nods to Jeremy. "Help me find something to support him?" She asks and gives Jeremy a reassuring squeeze.

Rogue has posed:
Rogue angled her body and flew in through the broken window of the boat as though it were no big deal at all. She extended her long legs and landed on the deck. "What about explosions?" Rogue asked Polaris then, looking around. "This palce is trashed... So sad." The teenager sighed and then looked around.

"Should we wrap him up in something, like... a blanket?" She stared at this Jeremy fellow, feeling quite sorry for what he was going through here today.

Gambit has posed:
Yes, there were at least two explosions, and again the boat rocks as another sets off from the very back of the huge watercraft.

"T'at t'in's startin' t' fall apart. You two should stop kissin' an' get outta t'ere."

Jeremy looks between both women and gasps as his legs reform but he doesn't want to try and walk on his own just yet. "Leaving sooner would be best." He says, his voice thick with a latino accent and his arm still clings to Lorna's back, getting her costume soaked in his goo-sweat. He looks over at Rogue and then back down to where he was. "I was in the floor like I just sank through it, I don't think a blanket will help."

Polaris has posed:
"Hold onto me, I've got you." Polaris says warmly. "Rogue, tell Gambit to get the passengers to shore safe. We'll just have to fly nice and gentle with Jer here." She looks to Rogue and glances at the wall. "Give us and exit, Gambit's right, I can't hold all the pieces much longer." Her face is starting to lose color from the effort.

Rogue has posed:
Rogue's stare went a bit distance as she listened to what the cajun was saying, the comm static making it all the more hard to understand him. But she then nodded once and drew in a breath. "Right."

Rogue flew forward to the wall opposite she was on, there was a much larger window on said wall and with a bit of studying... Rogue placed her hands in the right spots and then just puuuuuuuuuushed, until the metal and fiberglass gave way and she shoved the whole damn window and wall right on out, even yelping a little as it fell forward and splashed into the water.

"Exit awaits!" Rogue said with a smile and then turned to speak through the comm.

"Remy, we're gonna fly this mutant fella back t'shore ourselves. His mutation makes it seem like he might fall right outta the plane if'n he tries to fly inside'a it. So just head on back, drop them people down at the docks and then get for a safe place... cause, the cops are gonna be on your ass in that thing."

Gambit has posed:
"Copy t'at lil' sugah." Worst Call Sign Ever. Remy smirks and suddenly the jet is starting to move towards the west, back to the beach.

Jeremy mean while gasps and gives Rogue a low whistle. "You two ladies are the best." He says while still in Lorna's arms, his arms and legs are now mostly that light blue color and it's working his way up his body still, but he's certainly calmed down a lot and nods, ready to go.

Polaris has posed:
"It's the job, rescuing handsome guys like you." Lorna winks and scoops Jerigoo into her arms. "You're especially pretty today Rogue." She tells her student by way of thanks and carefully takes to the air to fly Jeremy out. "Let me know if I'm going too fast for you Jer. Don't want to miss the view after all."

Rogue has posed:
Rogue would smirk at the callsign given to her by the Jet's pilot (she still wondered where he learned to fly though).

Looking back to the other two Rogue gave a big smile at them. "I used a new shampoo today, its almond and shea butte'ah!" Her gloved hands went up to her wildly poofy hair and she fussed it with all proudly for the two of them.

"Anyway, lets get the hell outta here before pirates show up." Rogue has an odd idea about how things work out on the high seas.

Gambit has posed:
"Please!" Jermey says with a weak smile as Lorna and Rogue move towards the door and the black spy plane moves off before they do. What a very odd day. He thinks to himself, his eyes getting heavy and tired. "No, too slow. I want to be on land again." He whispers.

Polaris has posed:
"Your wish is my command." Polaris informs Jeremy. Green witch indeed. She picks up an easy pace as they fly out. Her eyes track to Rogue regularly to make sure her student is doing ok as well.
