Cast of Characters: Nightcrawler, Dagger

Nightcrawler has posed:
There was tales of injury and woe, darkness and light that had reached the ears of one Kurt Wagner, who with a BAMF! and the whiff of brimstone appeared along the roof of the church, partially perched on the steeple as he investigated the grounds.

There was another BAMF! And a matching sound of air quickly moving out of the way as he appeared at the side door, took a breath, and journeyed within the ruinous church.

Kurt, today, was wearing a dark blue sweatshirt and jeans, and carried with him what looked like couple of thermal bags, and a large pack.

Dagger has posed:
Settled in the church is Tandy, who has her arm in a new medical sling. She has a few bruises along her face and a couple of scabbed over wounds that are flaking away and on their last legs. She hasn't been out on patrol in weeks, leaving only Cloak to hunt those that deserve a trip through his darkness. She is sitting in a pew, poking at her phone as it's plugged with a charger connected to a long extension cord that's plugged into the building across the alley. She can't use it very long, just enough to get some charges before someone finds out.

At the sight of the door opening, she straightens up a bit cautiously, then relaxes at the sight of him. "Hey, Kurt." She says in a dour tone in her voice. "I've missed you." One of the most honest things she's said as of late. "How are you doing?"

Nightcrawler has posed:
"Oh, well, I cannot complain! I am under a good roof with a pretty girl, and I come bearing gifts!" he smiles, and he sets down the pack first, and then opens the thermal bag. From here, he pulls out a mug. The mug is fairly radiating heat, and he offers it up to Tandy.

"Hot soup. Tomato. I'm afraid it's from a can..." he gives a wry smile, leaning against the pew in front of Tandy. His tail waves slowly behind him as he gives a smile.

"I heard you were doing poorly."

Dagger has posed:
Reaching out with her good hand, Tandy takes the thermos from him and gives a smile. "Thanks. I don't mind canned soup. Did you leave the huge box of food at the side door earlier? I found it this morning but there wasn't a note on it on who it was from. There's a /lot/ of stuff there."

She places the thermos between her knees and works the cap off, then lifts it up for a quick sip. "But, yes, I am .. doing better .. just had a bad run in with Spider Man and some goof in a blue suit. He hit me too hard and I dislocated my shoulder and fractured it. I got some help from one of Dare Devil's allies who popped my shoulder back into place this morning and set my arm. Told me I can't do anything for two weeks."

There is a sigh of resignation from the angel of light. "I want to be out there with Cloak."

Nightcrawler has posed:
"Two weeks is a long time when you are used to nightly patrols, I would think." Kurt replies as he sits on the back of the pew, bracing his feet against it as he also hands Tandy a sandwich. It's turkey.

He also eats half of it. "I did not stop by this morning, I'm afraid, your mystery benefactor remains a mystery." he gives a shrug, and glances down a moment, then looks back to Tandy.

"but perhaps look at it as an opportunity to rest, and plan?" he offers, trying to salvage a silver lining.

Dagger has posed:
"Maybe. But there are children out there that need us." Tandy says as she lets out a low sigh in her throat. She takes the sandwich from him next and peeks under the hood. Turkey! She takes a bite and chews a few times before she swallows. She gives a motion towards a large box, then rises up to kneel next to it.

"Everyone keeps telling me to take it easy, but evil doesn't take days off." She starts to rummage through it with one hand, shifting some bags of groceries around. There is some camping gear as well. With a tilt of her head, she pulls out a box and opens it up. "There is a phone in here .. and a few gift cards to the grocery store. Also .. this..."

Holding up a card, she shows him a symbol of the Blue Beetle. Her eyes squint at it for a moment, then reads the back of it. "I'm sorry. If you guys need help, don't hesitate to call." She furrows her brows.

"Blue Beetle .. that is the guy who put me into the wall. I guess he feels really bad about it."

Nightcrawler has posed:
"Well, that is very kind of him." Kurt surmises a moment, and he gives a slight grin, rubbing the back of his neck a moment as his tail curls around himself.

"And no, evil never takes a day off, but Tandy, you cannot pour from an empty kettle." he sighs, and then rubs the back of his head. "There are healers out there who could work you back into shape, though. I have heard of others beyond the two I do know." he remarks, and strokes his thin in thought.

Dagger has posed:
"Kind of him. Hmf. Maybe. I guess it was a huge misunderstanding." Dagger says as he looks into the box, staring at the contents as he rustles them around. "Even though .. it really hurt."

Giving a glance back to him, she heads over to take a seat next to him once more, then leans in against his chest and shoulder. Her good hand reaches out to take his tail, wrapping it around her waist, giving it a few strokes. "I don't know. I guess.. it just feels like I should .. take it easy. Maybe be normal for a few weeks. Cloak is out there and he's putting in work."

Nightcrawler has posed:
"Alas, I do not think Cloak is the type to take breaks at all." Kurt replies gently, with a slight frown. He rubs the back of his neck a moment, and then he blinks, feeling Tandi sit next to him, although he's perched on the back of the pew, and she handles his tail -- though he wraps it around her waist as he gives a little bit of a smile, and blushes, the insides of his tapered ears turning darker.

"Oh... well, yes... ssome of the superheroes are rather... casual about collateral damage..." he trails off, and very gently puts an arm around Tandy to hold her steady.

Dagger has posed:
As she tucks herself in against him, Tandy's arm wraps about his waist in return as she keeps her head on his shoulder. She takes in a deep breath, then lets it out. "I think he felt really bad. I may have bumped into him on the street in plain clothes. He made a comment about recognizing me from the alley, then he just.. ran off .. he told me I was beautiful."

Her brows lift upwards a bit as she looks at him, then gives him a smile. "Do you think I'm beautiful?" She ask as she bats her eyes a few times upwards into his gold ones.

Nightcrawler has posed:
Kurt mutters something in German, but is giving a slight smile.

He does not translate, but he has a mischevious little smirk on his lips before he scratches his chin a moment with one finger.

"Well, you are rather striking. Especially with thrown objects." he offers as a quiet joke.

Dagger has posed:
Brows lifting, Tandy gives him a poke in the side gently. "What were you saying?" She asks him curiously as she leans forward to kiss his shoulder.

"Yes, I am .. striking when I throw objects of light. I suppose. But if you don't think I'm attractive .. " She trails off a bit to tease him as her hand moves down to stroke along his tail once more.

Nightcrawler has posed:
"Diese Frage ist immer eine Falle..." the elf repeats, his tail tightening momentarily around her waist. He gives a toothy grin, gently drawing one hand up to run through her hair.
"But as you can see, looks, to me, are not so important. It is what is inside that counts."

Dagger has posed:
"Oh, come on. You know looks at least help." Tandy says with a giggle as she leans her head into his threading fingers. Her hand rests against his chest, twisting the fabric about in her fingers before she draws him close to press her lips against his. She gives him a soft kiss before she nuzzles her cheek against his fuzzy one.

"But do you like what's inside also?" She asks him softly in a breathy whisper.

Nightcrawler has posed:
"Well, I mean, I might have been a--" Kurt begins, attempting to play it cool when Tandy kisses him. His fingers curl slightly against the back of her head, and he gives a warm breath as she nuzzles his cheek.

His lips part a moment, and then his head tilts back, and he kisses her forehead.

"Looks can be decieving. I have met many beautiful and very cruel women, and there are many mutants, like me, who do not look human, but are far more humane." he states gently.

Dagger has posed:
"I just want you to like me for me." Tandy insists to him. She curls herself into him, squinting her eyes at the kiss to her forehead. "Because I really like you, Kurt. I think you're handsome, and you have an amazing heart. I think any girl would be lucky enough to catch your attention."

Her hand gives him another squeeze about the hip. "Thank you for taking care of me so many times in the past few weeks." She tilts her chin up to stare into his eyes.

Nightcrawler has posed:
"Ah, Tandy, you are of all worlds." he compliments her gently, stroking his hand over her hair as he gives a smile, his nearly pupilless, iridescent eyes glowing in the dim light.

"And of course, I mean... if it was not for the fact that I /am/ rather fond of you, I probably would not have given you half my sandwich."

Dagger has posed:
Giving another smile at his compliment, Tandy leans forward and gives him another kiss, tilting her head a bit as she lets out a soft sigh against his mouth. Her hand gives another light tug of his shirt before she leans back. "You want to go for a walk? I could use the fresh air and to stretch myself out as I finish this sandiwch." She says with a giggle.

She looks far more perkier than when he found her earlier. "I can get my jacket on and then maybe we can find a park to wander around. It's supposed to be a bit cold tonight though."

Nightcrawler has posed:
"Certainly." Kurt replies, "Now that you're warmed from the inside out, get all cold again, I see how it is." Kurt teases, and he adjusts his sweatshirt, pulling the sleeves down again.

"You know, Tandy... I could get you to a safe house. At least to recover where there's heat."

Dagger has posed:
"We can walk around the church also." Tandy says with a smile as she slides off the pew. "If you don't want to walk around in the cold that is. Not that it's any warmer here." She says as he gives a look around the dark place of worship.

"No. I can't leave this place. This is my home now. I like it here, even if it's not the best place in the world, but it's ours. Between you and .. the Blue Beetle, I have enough supplies to turn the church into an RV at this point. I really appreciate it."
