Date of Scene: 20 November 2020
Location: Coffee Shop, Hot Joe's - Gotham
Synopsis: Mercy and Willow hang out.
Cast of Characters: Mercy Thompson, Willow Rosenberg

Mercy Thompson has posed:
Coffee is a fantastic thing, at least in Mercy's mind, the mind of a mechanic coyote walker. She's out here in Gotham, hair tied back and looking like she just stepped out of her shop, which she did and came out here to hunt down parts and things, mostly parts for her latest project car. Getting the parts is one thing.

Getting them back to Bloodhaven is going to be tough realy...but currently, she's settled at a table cradling a coffee in her hands. Mostly since she's still a little tired but at least she's out of her shop for once. And on two legs...and easily visible from the street, too.

Willow Rosenberg has posed:
Willow had found that the bursary she was receiving had two parts of out.

One, she had money to spend, which was great! No more cramming in three jobs and school! Except..

Two.. meant she felt guilty. After all, the time she had previously been at her jobs, was now eaten by extra duties at the Justice League, and the Magic Box.

But this time she was taking a break, and was going to have a coffee.. and maybe a croissant as well!

Mercy Thompson has posed:
Mercy's got coffee, but...no croissant. At least, not yet. Still she's relaxed, but she has no bursary. Just...well...just her garage, and that covers things if she's careful. No guilt involved.

At least, not about skipping jobs. She's out here, on the clock and waiting.

Much as she doesn't much like waiting, really. Still, she sips her coffee and relaxes more.

Willow Rosenberg has posed:
Finally!

She had them, and was looking around the place for a seat. The trouble with money, and having a coffee whenever you chose meant that occasionally you got caught up in busy times, like now. She almost decided to take her purchases elsewhere, when she caught Mercy!

Willow approached, and grins. "Hi! Do you mind if I sat with you?"

Mercy Thompson has posed:
"Not at all, come, come sit with me" Mercy grins and looks very much pleased at Willow. "I'm just killing time here is all but I could use company, and coffee is always good"

Unlike, say, orange juice, which, frankly, Mercy hates. Cause, orange juce is just...ew, no no and no way in hell. Nope!

So she grins more. "Pick a chair, I'm not fusy and I did shower before I left my garage so" Mercy points out taking a jab at herself. "Though you have coffee and...croissants?" mercy adds with a raised eyebrow and shrugs a little, "I was hoping they had cookies here honestly, but...you know. Had to get a table and keep it, you know how it is.

Like parking in Bloodhaven, too

Willow Rosenberg has posed:
Willow smiles and takes a seat. "They were out of cookies. They said they were baking some more."

Mercy Thompson has posed:
"Wel" Mercy sighs and shakes her hed with a laugh. "WellNo cookies? Aw, but, but..." Mercy pouts and looks hopeful. "Anything good though? Bagels, brownies, any of that?" she wonders aloud and sets down her coffee. "So, what brings you to this coffee shop? Admitttedly I'm not here to study. I'm waiting on parts. And, yeah, cookies to be baked, apparently" Mercy giggles with a knowing nod. "Chocolate chip are the best cookies...but bagels, now that's a tough choice"

Willow Rosenberg has posed:
"I'm at the University next door. What are *you* doing here? You're in my neighborhood!" Willow laughs. "Their bagels are pretty good. But their chocolate chip cookie has nothing on mine!"

Mercy Thompson has posed:
Mercy grins, "Oh, I'm here to wait on a call for parts so I'm killing time" she adds and looks pleased, and raises an eyebrow at Willow. "You're a GSU student? I just know you bake cookies. See, you do learn something new don't you?" mercy nods, and stirs her coffee for a moment.

"So what is best on bagels?" Mercy adds. She's got her own ideas, but comparing notes works too.

Willow Rosenberg has posed:
"Well.. I'm supposed to say cream cheese and lox, but I don't care for meat. You might like it." Willow smiles. "They have quite a few kinds of cream cheese. I like herb and garlic."

d'uh, for the added bonus of anti-vampirism!

(except she really liked Spike, even if she hasn't made up with him)

"They have a nice pineapple cream cheese?" She ponders. "You look like a fruit kinda person." Even if she was a coyote.

Mercy Thompson has posed:
@emit
Coyotes eat fruit too, or, maybe, just maybe, that's Mercy? Fruit eating coyote it is. "Cream cheese is good though"" Mercy points out with a wry smile. "I do enjoy cream cheese and bagels though. Bagels for breakfast or breakfast sandwiches, indeed. Speaking of cookies" Mercy ponders, "You done any baking? I've not had time recently, but I really should get back into it. It's a great stress relief from working on cars or something" Mercy nods keenly.^R
"Did muy years in college, you need any advice or anything just ask and I'll tell you what I know, and throw in free brownies too. No, not those brownies, I don't like to see my friends get high" Mercy adds with a grin, shaking her head Mercy looks amused.

"Why is it everyone instanty assumes if brownies are baked you are stoned? They ruined it for the rest of us law abiding people" Mercy jokes and sips her coffee.

Willow Rosenberg has posed:
"Not really," Willow sighs sadly. "I got all this money, and didn't need to worry about my jobs, but found all sorts of others demanding my attention." Of course, she still insisted upon a second major, plus what amounted to a third, although it only counted for a minor. "Very few cookies this semester, I'm afraid."

"I really can't make brownies. Not really." She worries her brows together. "I don't know why they insist on putting weed in them. I would think it would be bad for me to try it, after all, you know, the magic."
