Synopsis: Megan discovers an old D&D DR session and has some fun.
Cast of Characters: Pixie, Warpath, SpyderByte, Jax Miller, Ted Gammage, Nightingale

Pixie has posed:
Megan Gwynn had been anxious to get in some training, and she had discovered some 'mysterious files' that Illyana had left in the DR files which she was eager to try out. So here she is, dressed in her official X-men costume and ready and waiting to check out this mysterious program. She peers around, waiting fir others to join her, curious to see what this 'mystery file' involves.

"So! Is everyone ready?" she beams as she flexes and stretches, having absolutely nooooo idea what is in these files.

Warpath has posed:
The prospect of students trying a mystery program makes Jimmy just a little uneasy. He takes it upon himself to join the party as the safety net incase something goes sideways in the program. Currently he's just wearing jeans and combat boots. He tosses his tank top into a locker before going in. He's lost enough clothes due to fire anymore he just assumes he's going to get burnt.

SpyderByte has posed:
Heading into the Danger Room is Jeremy. He is dressed in his usual all black clothes that has been assigned to him, as well as a gold belt across his hips with a red X on the logo. The New Mutant Bumblebees. As he gives a look around, he taps along the small tablet that is strapped to his arm to fire up his vocal application.

<< I am ready. >>

He looks over to Megan and gives a nod of affirmation.

Jax Miller has posed:
A few days ago, while taking an absolutely bonkers idea to Scott and Jean to get their opinion on it, Jax found out something very interesting about the school. Sure, he already knew his teachers were superheroes. Yes, he's aware that for some reason this means there's a private jet on the grounds with its own fully functional aircraft hanger. Turns out, however, that there's also what's been described to him as a 'hardlight gym', a place for exercise, and something he was almost certain to enjoy. The name of this delightful miracle of recreation? The Danger Room.

He's assuming the name was ironic.

Then, lo and behold, he gets asked if he'd like to join a session in said Danger Room. So he arrives ready for a gym session, in workout gear... for him that means sweatshorts, a tank top and a pair of custom made sports shoes... these ones, it seems, were kindly provided by a famous sports brand named after a Greek goddess.

Bouncing on his toes, he waits for the fun to start, looking around the empty room. Hmmm. Unfortunately him bouncing on his toes does mean he's going high enough to slam dunk at will... "Oh man, oh man, oh man, this is gonna be awesome. They said this was gonna be awesome. It's gonna be awesome right? Right? Yeah, awesome."

Pixie has posed:
Megan Gwynn was not expecting students either, and she honestly has nooo idea of the dange4 level settings in this particular program. But there are at least two X-men here-to Ugh to, and even if Megan is fairly new to the team, she certainly has a lot of experience under her belt. "Hi Jeremy! Hi Jax!" she greets them both cheerfully as she assesses the team ad nods to Warpath, "So! I guess this makes you the tram leader! Huzzah! Let's have fuuuuun!"

And with that she gives the danger room orders to begin the program. Theres the usual blurring and slightly dizzying flash of lights as the scenery changes..And when the image refocuses, the party finds itself in a large field underneath a starlit sky. There is a grand medieval style castle at the top of a nearby hill and oh yes, everyone is dressed in medieval attire. Warpath is dressed as a knight, Jax a Barbarian, Megan a sorceress and Jeremy, a Calculator (?!).

Warpath has posed:
Looking at the armor that suddenly appears on him, Warpath scowls and shakes his head. Armor indeed. He moves his arms a bit to try and get a feel for it. He looks at Pixie and mutters,"You're lucky I like you."

He doesn't sound angry, mostly annoyed by the way his body is restricted. There is a glint of amusement in his eye when he tells her that, but that passes and he prepares to see what Magik devised in this program,"As the oldest one out I should be mostly making sure the rest of you don't get hurt. Maybe you should let someone else lead as I have done it many times."

Ted Gammage has posed:
Ted too has joined. He made his way in wearing some heavy boots, black jeans and a T-Shirt. Similarly to Jeremy, the belt has an X on it, and his t-shirt does as well. He has forgone his hat for now. He sort of steps back, stomping in his boots a few times to try to loosen up his joints, "Awlright, what's this gonna be?" he drawls out a bit. He quirks a brow as the castle appears.

Jax Miller has posed:
    Strobing lights... ooh, pretty!

It takes Jax a few seconds longer to regain his senses, shaking his head to clear it. Ooh, a starry night. An open field! What fun is this? What... is this sudden breeze which wafts through his fur in unexpected places? He was pretty sure he was wearing more clothes than... oh... Ah. Ehm. Okay then. Rocking the loincloth. Footwraps are at least comfortable. Ample space for his tail to sway.

His fur patterning is at least more visible now, ironically blending him in quite well with the environment. The double headed axe is given an experimental heft. And then he grins, eyes glowing in the dark as the accumulated light reflects.

"Oh no, Mister Proudstar. You're the knight, that means you're the meat shield. That's basic party rules."

SpyderByte has posed:
Blinking his eyes a few times, Jeremy takes a look around, then at his new clothing. His tablet is gone. Wearing long red and gold robes with his hair pulled back behind him into a pony tail, he gives a few squints of his eyes at the sunlight that hits him.

He opens his mouth, then closes it slowly as he rubs at his throat with his fingers. He reaches out with his powers, feeling the Danger Room in the background, then disconnects from it so to make it level playing field. No need to cheat. He lifts his hand upwards, giving an anxious wave to the others.

Nightingale has posed:
Also joining in the training session was Shannon, who, after waking from her turkey coma of the afternoon, had just barely received the message from Megan. So she's quick to put on her 'bumblebees'--a black bodysuit with yellow boots, a sweeping yellow X that hugged her body from her shoulders to her hips, and a utility belt with her little brown leather bag, and what looks like a collapsible metal staff hanging from it. She's tied her hair back in a bun, even the little blue braid on the left side of her face.

Her eyebrows quirk as she slips into the Danger Room. "The heck...? Well, at least it's not a labrynth...." Her lips quirk upwards in a smile, and she tries not to giggle to see Warpath in a suit of armor. "Hello, shik'isn." Everyone does get a smile and a nod of greeting, as she waits to see how this will play out.

Pixie has posed:
Megan Gwynn swallows, glancing down at her own costume change. As a witch, she has a short green mini skirt, a black corset and long hot pink shrug with billowy sleeves and a black witches hat. Oh and a sparkly pink wand shaped like a pink and green butterfly. "Ooooh so pretty!" she giggles, twirling and twitching this way and that.

As Shannon enters, she finds herself transformed into a cleric while Ted becomees an animal trainer, a giant grizzly bear at his side.

"Hmm ok, if you insist, Warpath! Guess it's up to me then! Let's head to the castle! We're bound to discover our mission there!" and with that, she leads the merry troup onwards towards said castle.

Warpath has posed:
Finally Warpath nods and starts to follow after Megan. He looks at Jax and shakes his head, thumping the iron,"One of us is a meat shield." he replies to the student and turns to see the newer arrivals and nods to Shannon,"Getting religion shik'isn?" He gives her a wink and continues towards the castle.

SpyderByte has posed:
Lifting his hand to wave to Ted and Shannon, Jeremy beams at his fellow teammates. He ambles over them, brushing his hands down along his robes. His brows lift upwards curiously, followed by another shrug of his shoulders. He has no clue what is going on, obviously.

Looking over at Jax, he gives him a big grin as if to say: See, this is cool, huh? He reaches down and plucks a few blades of grass up, then lets it fall from between his fingers to the ground and catch the breeze so they can spiral.

Ted Gammage has posed:
"Uh, ah gotta bear now," Ted says, a little confused. "Ah admit, m'not really th' type to let an animal do th' fightin', but...eh," he shrugs, figuring now he'll go with the flow of things. "So weird," he muses, giving the bear a light pat or two.

Jax Miller has posed:
"I mean, is this awesome or what?" Jax enthuses, following the group while looking around. Everything looks real. It feels real... it /smells/ real. Especially that bear.

"Is this like a licensed version? I didn't know they did 3D versions of this game... why aren't you selling tickets to this?"

Nightingale has posed:
Chuckling softly, Shannon just shakes her head. "The cleric is usually the healer, shik'isn, but they can also fight. You never want to mess with a fully armored cleric in a party. Speaking of," she continues, a wry smile curling the corners of her lips upwards. "...that armor suits you."

Looking down at her robes, she purses her lips, thinking for a moment. "Pixie, got any way to check what spells each of us has? Because if these robes are all I have for armor, I'm up the creek."

Waving to Ted, Jax, and Jeremy, she smiles, moving to keep to the middle of the party. "I don't suppose anyone else has played tabletop before...? This is going to be pretty interesting. Hey, Pixie? What are the safety settings on this simulation, do you know?"

Pixie has posed:
Megan Gwynn giggles as she glances around at the others and their fancy costumes, "Hmm, we should still have our original abilities, we just have to be creative in how we access them!" she beams as she twirls and experiments with her wand, sending out glittery pink sparkles. "This is so cool, but we won't get outta here until we finish the mission!"

She is of course speaking as she walks along, climbing the steep hill towards the castle at the top. "Not entirely sure, Shan, but if it gets too dangerous we should be able to override the settings and end the program. Come on!"^r
And assuming the others follow, she will stride over the drawbridge which spans a deep moat. The guards salute the heroes and allow them to pass, leading them into the great hall where the Queen's aid awaits them.

Cheesy music starts to play as the elderly man in noble attire steps towards them and bows. "O fabled heroes of legend, I have waited many years for thine return. It joys me to see thee have arrived and nary in the nick of time!" he seems tired as he leads them to a mirror, and waves his hand to show various scenes displayed on its silver surface.

"Tonight is the coronation of thine Queen, Chrysanthemum, after the untimely death of thine father, king Rosenhald. But alas, her brother sent his minions to kidnap her and take her into the forbidden forest, where we fear thou hast been sacrificed to thine serpentine beastie. If she is not rescued by the strike of midnight, her evil younger brother, prince Darkthorn will inherit the throne and plunge our kingdom into darkness. It is up to thine noble heroes to rescue our princess and restore order to our kingdom! Will you accept thine mission?"

Warpath has posed:
"The armor suits me?" Jimmy replies with a shake of his head. Walking into the castle he looks the place over. As he stated, he's letting the students play this out, mostly here to be the stop gap if something goes off the rails. He tries not to groan as he hears the cheesyness of all of this,"Illyana..." he mutters her name somewhere between exasperation and saying it like it tastes bad,"...I think I'll have to arrange a session for you Magik." he mutters softly to himself.

Ted Gammage has posed:
Ted follows along with the group to get the quest. He makes a soft 'huh' sound, looking at Jax, "Kinda weird they'd let ah bear in the castle," he notes with an amused grin. He looks at the others, replying to Shannon with a shake of his head, "Naw, not one o' the things ah ever did, really. Church goers thought it was, y'know, evil." He shrugs lightly, letting the others speak to the NPC.

Jax Miller has posed:
Onwards to the castle go! Fanfare! Parade! Bunting and bounce, merry and rejoicing. "Have I ever played tabletop? Please... I have hardcopies of all the books. All of them." At the mention of 'all', he leans towards Shannon, slightly in her personal space to emphasise the point, then punctuates with a hop and a skip before going back to striding like the noble warrior he's supposed to be.

Boy did he get miscast for this role!

Jax with a lute? Sure. In a hooded cloak skulking about? Absolutely. Carrying a large two-handed axe? Nah. That's going to be fun later on.

His ears practically creak through the 'thee', 'thine' and 'thou', nodding as appropriate and finally, when the whole spiel is done, nudges Jeremy, whispering. "The princess is in another castle!"

The jokes out of the way, Jax straightens up and looks as noble as he possibly can. That's... actually pretty noble. A straight posture, ears tilted just /so/, tail in an exact S-shape. "We will take on this quest, and rescue the Princess! Evil shall not rule this land!"

The axe is hefted up again. "You shall have my axe..." then he nods around. "And his sword, and her wand, and her mace, and his mind and.... and his bear."

Nightingale has posed:
Shannon just smiles to Jax and chuckles, nodding. "Got it. Okay, so, you're not new to this." Well, there was that at least. But now, it was her turn to listen, and watch, and wait. She, too, cringes at the thee's and thou's, just shaking her head and pinching the bridge of her nose.

When the robed nobleman has spoken his piece, she steps forward, her hand curled about her staff, still in its collapsed state. "My lord," she intones, with all the seriousness she can muster. "We will gladly accept this quest, humble adventurers though we be. Thou wilt not find thy faith in us misplaced. Saranrae willing, we shalt return with the Queen, and the coronation will proceed as it should."

Pixie has posed:
The tired old Queen's aid looks quite relieved to see that they will help, and he claps his hands together, joyously, "Zounds! It heartens me to know that thine will help thee!" he bows deep, I am honoured to meet thee, legendary heroes! I wish thee luck in thine quest! And know that if thine succeed, there will be a reward for thine efforts!"

He pulls out a leather pouch and hands it to Jeremy, "Ye be the Calculator, yes? I hope thee can get a reading from this large black snake fang, and I trust it will lead thee to thine enemy and our Princess! Good luck on thine quest! And remember, thee have til midnight to save thine Princess!"

Warpath has posed:
Jimmy moves to cross his arms, a bit bored by the whole prospect. Then he realizes he can't due to the suit and he growls. Already over this outfit. He lets his arms hang again and sighs. He does have a look like he'd enjoy mangling something though, so there is the promise of that.

Ted Gammage has posed:
Ted scratches the back of his head, eyeing Jax at his speech. "Man, y'all way into this ain'tcha?" he teases, looking to the others. "So, ah guess we just go, beat up a snake an' we win then?"

Jax Miller has posed:
"Ooh, good one. Going for the extra XP bonus, I see." Jax whispers to Shannon and makes himself as unobtrusive among the party as it's possible to be for a nigh six foot bipedal cat wearing a loincloth and carrying a large axe. He's going to be pretty visible...

"Hey, this is a lot of fun with the right friends and a good GM. You normally have to pay for this kind of thing, man. And there's no LARP in the world that can afford this kind of budget, not even the crazy German ones. So just have fun..."

    Ahem.

"Looks like 'tis now upon thee to track down our foe, oh noble beast tamer."

Nightingale has posed:
Shannon chuckles and nods to Jax, flipping her staff about in her hands. "I've done a little bit of tabletop but it was years ago. I just remember liking Saranrae because She was good, and looked like an angel. Ironic, if you think about it." At that, she extends her wings, grinning impishly.

Looking to Ted, she cracks a light smile. "Okay, so... do we use magical means to get this snake fang to point the way, or..." Pause. "...we could always just tie it to a string and see what direction it points? I mean, we're always hearing in training sessions that our powers aren't always necessary, so maybe it's similar here?"

Grinning at Warpath, she nods once, crossing her own arms. Just because she can. Little sisters are like that.

Pixie has posed:
Megan Gwynn nods to Jax, all serious now as they head out of the castle. "Right! Go ahead and try and track the Serpent monster with the fang, Ted. We're right behind you. Everyone else, check your equipment and get ready for a fight. We need to get familiar with our new outfits and classes but remember that you should still have access to all your mutant powers. You just need to be creative and adaptive in modifying how you use them in your new assigned classes."

She smirks at Shannon, "I've done a few DND sessions myself. Best way is to let Ted's pet bear track the snake monsters using the fang, check to see if there's blood on it. Jax probably has enhanced senses so he should be able to help in tracking too. We need to be sneaky so we can catch the baddies by surprise."

Ted Gammage has posed:
"Urh, awlright," Ted says, eyeing the fang, then taking it and giving to the bear. It takes a few moments and then the bear finally gets it and starts to lumber in the direction of the snake. Probably. Ted assumes that. "Ah guess we follow Yogi here an' see what comes of that?"

Jax Miller has posed:
"Why do people assume I have enhanced senses?" On the right flank of the party, because that's the hand in which he's holding his axe, Jax shakes his head. "I mean, you'd think people just assume I can see in the dark, and hear a pin drop two miles away, or smell a roast pig on the other side of a forest..." Beat. "I mean, I can, but people always just assume."

"What I can't do is axe fight. How do you even start?"

But he's off! The Bear-now-and-forever-more-known-as-Yogi seems to have gotten the scent and Jax follows, using that class speed bonus (really, he's just pretty fast) and the survivalist class feature (he likes forests!) to keep up with the bear and slightly ahead of the party. Eyes peeled. Ears perked. Nose closed because that bear is pretty close!

Warpath has posed:
The temptation to ditch the armor is almost too mcuh for him. Warpath growls again, checks the weapon he really doesn't want, and starts to walk with the rest of them. Probably he has little to no idea what DnD is beyond mention in passing of students. Sword indeed. A deep breath and a slow exhale and he follows along to see what the next level is going to do to them.

Nightingale has posed:
"Well, Jax... it /is/ normal for cats to have enhanced senses," Shannon points out, smiling a little bit. "But I hear you. That'd be like someone assuming I have healing just because I look like an angel. Which I do, but that's beside the point."

Then the bear is off! "Ooof. Wow, that bear's makin' like a bread truck and haulin' buns! Guess it's time to see just how well we all do running through these woods. And not stirring up the local wildlife..."

Pixie has posed:
Megan Gwynn follows after Ted once he gets the scent which leads them into a forest - a very spooky forest with creepy sounds coming out of everywhere. It's also fairly dark in here and Megan mutters a spell, lighting the way with her magic butterfly rod.

Jax is given a smirk and shrug, "Welll you're all cat man and stuff, right? So it fits! Is anyone following us? Sense any traps? It's pretty creepy in here..Warpath, you should take point, you probably have the highest defense of all. Nightingale stay close to me, I have high offence but low defence, everyone keep your senses peeled and ready for anything!"

Even as they proceed through the creepy forest, Jax may sense they are being followed - by giant venomous snakes! And look! A few of them are already preparing sneak attacks, leaping at the heroes from the shadows as they continue through the forest!

Warpath has posed:
When Megan asks him to take point, Warpath glances back into their wake once and then moves to the point. Though he isn't really a swordsman, he draws the weapon and gets ready to face whatever may come. In a rare pop culture comment from him he mutters,"Why'd it have to be snakes?"

This is an attempt at humor since everyone knows there are few living things he fears. Few being pretty much no living things. He tries to not use his enhanced senses since that wouldn't exactly be appropriate for the 'noble knight' sort.

Jax Miller has posed:
Creep, creep, creep through the brush? Nah-uh. Leap, leap, leap through the brush! Jax vaults over roots, climbs whenever he can and surveys the forest around as the party moves. Honestly, he seems like he's having fun.

Right up until the moment he seems to drop from a tree top into the middle of the party and whirls to the rear, axe raised. "Get to the center, rear and flank being attacked!"

As the first snake heaves into view, he widens his stance and snarls at it, ears tilted back.

Which is, surprisingly, when his 'Intimidating Roar' ability activates. It's loud. It's impressive. It sounds like a legion of pissed off lions is coming to eviscerate whoever hears it. And it surprises the living daylights out of Jax. "Whoa."

Nightingale has posed:
Shannon looks at Jax, startled. "Whoah. I'm impressed!" Great. Snakes. "I'm tired of these motherf...." The rest of the quote trails off as she unhooks her staff from her belt, flicking her thumb over a switch just recessed into the side. With a spring-loaded metallic, twinging /snap/ sort of sound, the weapon extends to its full length. A few spins of the staff in her hands, and she drops into a fighting stance, keeping one eye on the snakes, and the rest on the other party members.

"I hate snakes almost worse than creepers..."

Pixie has posed:
Megan Gwynn continues to trudge along, finding her cutesy costume rather less practical in the marshy damp woods. Well darnit! Oh well...She sighs, glad at least for her thigh high boots that are surprisingly sturdy and waterproof. And she keeps her senses peeled although they are not as good as Jax'a.

"Yikes! Giant snake monsters! Clear a path and focus on the trail ahead! Remember this is just a distraction!" of course that's easier said than done as they swarm them from every angle. Jeremy and Ted fight valiantly but both of them are eventually knocked out or otherwise separated and lost from the group.

Megan continues to slash and slice through the monsters with her glowing rod which takes the place of her soul dagger. "Darn there are so many!" More start to swarm the other heroes, but as Jax roars, many are scared away, and veer towards Shannon and especially Warpath who takes point, which is where the majority swarm, their primary purpose being to stop them from advancing onward.

Warpath has posed:

So maybe he knows a little more about swords than he lets on. The snakes move towards him and he stretches each arm straight out to his sides. He brings them together infront of him and grasps the weapon with both hands. He goes head long into the gathering of creatures, swinging the weapon with heavy consequence and deadly intention. The phrase heads will roll is what might well come to mind for most.

Nightingale has posed:
Shannon looks up quickly to see just how much airspace their is around her, and if there is enough room to get above the trees. "Hang tight, this is gonna get messy! I'm gonna try and see us a way past these mofos!" Thankfully, there is an opening in the trees just above them, and it is towards this clear space that she launches herself, staff in hand to ward off any snakes that try to grab a hold of her...

Jax Miller has posed:
There is no time to think of any battle plan. There's no convenient pause every six seconds to discuss strategy, or think of what to do, or even to go get a drink and some snacks. It's a fight. Constant, unrelenting, and Jax is getting pressed hard by the snakes. Granted, he's pretty good at getting out of their way, avoiding their fangs and jumping over slamming tails, but his own attacks are... well... underwhelming.

The axe is flailing furiously, hitting air or trees more than anything else. Whenever a snake presses in, Jax falls back to give himself space to dodge, to slip aside and give a few swipes of the heavy axe. A little while ago he would have laughed at the notion of a physically fit barbarian being exhausted after ten rounds of raging... now... well, he's starting to find out how long a minute /really/ is when you're swinging a heavy steel object around with all your strength.

Pixie has posed:
Warpath and Jax slice effortlessly into the bulk of the snake monsters, flattening, slicing and otherwise beating them senseless. As Shannon rises skywards, more swarm back towards Jax, lashing out at him with fangs and clawed tails and Megan seems a bit overwhelmed by the snakes as they continue its warm from behind.

"Egads! They're not stopping! Time for plan B! Nel arun Sennarea!" she yells, pointing her rod at the mass behind them, and sends out an explosion of glittery pink sparkles at a good area of swarming snakes. For a moment nothing happens..Then they turn and start attacking each other. "Hurry! Cut down the rest and head forward!"

And as Shannon flies skyward she may get a good view of an uphill climb towards a barren mountainous region a good couple miles up ahead. They're on the right path, and soon to head out of the forest, although the mountain trail has some dangerous fire streams spewing out of holes here and there, and dead vegetation. Perhaps evidence of the massive hydra they have yet to face?

"Shannon what do you see?"

Nightingale has posed:
"We're almost out of the woods, but it's going to be a difficult trail ahead," Shannon calls down to the party below. "We're heading for an uphill climb, and... ugh, little fire spouts at some pretty random places. Also looks like something killed a lot of the plants, so keep your heads on a swivel!" Pausing, she glances back down to the battle in progress. "Come on, I'll fly on a little bit ahead and call out so you can follow my voice clear of the forest, at least!"

Warpath has posed:
There are still a lot of other snakes out there and Warpath has let himself accept his namesake. While it might be worse if he was hand to hand or using his knives, there is nothing other than a path of destruction where the sword swings. When more than a few others start to gather he reverses the grip on the weapon and starts to swing it in a figure 8 pattern infront of him. The sword esentially becomes a whirling pattern of death. The snakes may be dangerous, but even they have to wonder about the flash of the metal in his hand.

Jax Miller has posed:
Cut, leap, dash, leap, cut. Jax is settling into a rhythm here, using explosive bursts of speed and energy to press home his attack and then slow down before engaging the next snake. Honestly, it's just like a football game, you can't run full speed all the time. Accelerate away from the blockers, slow down to catch the pass, save the breath and energy for the long stretch to the end zone.

He's staying as close as he dares to Warpath, and finds things a whole lot easier when the snakes turn on each other. Then it's just a matter of cutting off heads and dashing on to the next pair of slithering foes.

"Where's... where's Jer? And Ted? We can't... we can't leave them..."

But fact of the matter is that the fight is pushing him out of the forest, bit by bit, and he's going to need all his breath to make it that far. His arms are tiring, and so are his legs...

Pixie has posed:
Megan Gwynn flinches as a snake or two bites her, forming blood pus on her arm, "Ouch! Careful, I think they're poisonous!" she clutches her arm and pulls back, letting Warpath and Jax deal with the remaining snakes, "Phew, good job everyone..Danger averted down here, keep talking Shannon!"

She calls and waves to Shannon, and continues to use her glowing rod to light the way, "Don't worry Jax, I'll send em back to the castle for medical attention..lI see em over here..Sihal Novarum Chinoth!" another wave of her rod and she teleports them to the castle or, med bay in the real world.

"Phew, Shan, I may need medical help..Got bit by a snake or two.." her steps falter a bit but she does her best to follow the others up the steep incline. At least the foliage is steadily thinning out as they continue higher up the mountain path.

Just watch out for those fire plumes!

Warpath has posed:
The last of the snakes fall and Warpath ceases the path of destruction he started. He isn't even winded yet and he looks around him to see what else might be at hand, letting the others continue to apply themselves.

Nightingale has posed:
As soon as the group is clear of the forest, Shannon lands next to them, eyeing each to see if there are any other signs of injury besides Megan's snakebite. "Okay, we're stopping right here. Let's have a look at that bite, Pixie." Already, she's fishing around in her little brown leather bag and slipping on a pair of gloves to have a look at the site. She makes sure the fairy-winged girl's arm is angled downwards, so it is lower than her heart. An alcohol wipe is used around the site to clean it, and better assess the depth of the bite. "How are you feeling?"

Jax Miller has posed:
Out of the forest, into the clear. Before doing anything else, Jax looks around, ears swiveling. No sight of pursuit. No sound of pursuit... good.

With a *THUNK*, the axe falls to the ground, and the cat barbarian gives the standard 'timeout' gesture before collapsing to the grass and rolling onto his back, panting. An almost accusing finger is pointed at James "No fair... all that armor... how come... how come... you're not... tired?"

Haaah. Fast metabolism, a curse as much as a blessing. It's going to take him some time to work up the energy to continue.

Pixie has posed:
Megan Gwynn sighs, wiping her brow. With all the heat and humidity suddenly turning to hot dry fire, plus uphill climb plus lower endurance stats as a mage means Megan is faltering a bit more than the others. "Alright.." she sighs, taking a seat on a nearby Boulder and letting her look at that wound. Fortunately there is no pus, no venom spewing out of it. Looks like their fangs were sharp though but it's mostly just a graze wound, missing any major blood vessels but deep enough to hurt, to probably need stitches.
