An official Introduction
Date of Scene:	12 December 2020
Location:	Fred's Diner - Mutant Town
Synopsis:	Megan invites Conner and Illy for lunch and they catch up on stuff.

Pixie has posed:
Now that this game have calmed down a bit in Mutant Town, at least for a day or two, Megan has decided to introduce Conner to her friend(nemy?) in a more relaxed setting. And of course to take a break from patrolling the crazy crime stricken town for a change.

Unfortunately mutant town doesn't have a lot of decent places to meet but Fred'a diner wasn't too shady and had good food. It also sported a cute jukebox too! She's the first to arrive and has already claimed a table in the relatively small diner and is currently looking over the menu as she waits.

Magik has posed:
    Illyana doesn't really consider Megan a friend exactly. Not a frenemy either though. More like a 'second chance'? Not really. It's complicated. But if Megan wants to introduce her to her boyfriend, who she's already met, but under combat conditions, she doesn't have any objections to it.
    In all honesty, the part of this trip that really appeals to her is the part where they're going to Mutant Town. She doesn't spend a lot of time there, but it has a weird appeal to it... partially because of how different it is from everywhere else.
    Of course, she's never been to "Fred's" before, so she had to teleport somewhere nearby and so she gets there a few minutes later, arriving through the doors and seeing Megan at the table makes her way there with a polite wave.

Superboy has posed:
Winter Break is just here and Conner has finished the last exams and presented the latest projects. Now he has four free weeks. Woot. He is confident he passed all the courses, so it is time to enjoy some life. Just one more semester to graduation now.

A good start is a date with Megan, of course. Which is maybe why he is right on time for once. He sneaks behind the pink-haired girl to tickle her and peck her cheek. "Hey, Megs. How goes school for you? I am off until mid January."

He blinks a bit surprised when the Russian blonde appears, straighten up and offering a mild smile. "Oh, hey. Illyana, right?" Never good with names.

Pixie has posed:
Megan Gwynn is happy for winter break, although she's not sure she passed all her first year courses, specifically that brutal physics course. She's still sleepy, rubbing her eyes and daydreaming when Conner catches her by surprise. She blinks and smiles, returning the kiss, shuffling over so he can join her in the booth. "Hii! How you been? I guess between midterms and superheroics we haven't seen much of each other.."

And then she spies Illy and waves to her, a mixed expression on her face. Stuff has always been complicated between them, "Hey, Illy..How you been? I guess I never got to properly introduce you to Conner."

Magik has posed:
    When Illyana arrives at the table and Megan reintroduces Conner, she nods at him, noticing the nervousness in both and seizing on it. "Nice to meet you again. You can relax. This is not you meeting the parents. Just friends." As the word escapes her mouth, she considers it for a moment, but decides that it's best to leave it unquestioned.
    She takes a seat at the table across from them and smiles. "So... what happened in our last meeting is now resolved? The kids are no longer causing any further trouble?"

Superboy has posed:
Conner grins and sits down at Megan's side. "Likewise, it is always good to meet more of Megan's friends. Although, you do seem to make her nervous. Makes me suspect you are one of her teachers and all."

He loses the smile at the question of the mutant gangers. "Well, the cops got them. I doubt we will ever seen them again. Mutants are not well treated in the American prison system. Plus, with that 'Cure' around, I bet they will be forcibly depowered."

Pixie has posed:
Megan Gwynn smirks, eyeing Illy thoughtfully, "Believe me, the feeling is mutual. And as for teacher!?" she chuckles a bit, "Haha well I suppose she...Taught me a few tricks. Our relationship is...Complicated."

As for those kids, Megan sighs, "Hmm, actually those kids escaped from jail a few days later and were involved in the terrorist attack on the anti-mutant clinic. Fortunately, the X-men managed to calm them down to see the error of their ways. Most of them were taken 'somewhere safe'. Although, the place was a mess. I'm a bit worried that this..Cure, is gonna be abused."

Magik has posed:
    Illyana nods to Conner, "Yes, you could call me a teacher." She /was/ afterall the one who first taught Megan any magic. At least a piece of her was. Though she does look serious for a moment at the mention of the kids they fought being forcibly depowered. She wasn't going to dwell on the subject, instead planning to move on to lighter converstaion, but when Megan brings up that the kids escaped and then were taken back to the school, she scowls a little. "Oh. Then someone is watching them at the school..." It sounds like a question. She's been around the school recently and she hadn't noticed them, but it /is/ a big school.

Superboy has posed:
That is new for Conner, and he is not sure it is good news. After all that gang was going to attack children. "Oh, I hope you guys know what you are doing in that magical school of yours," the last said with a smirk, since Megan keeps changing her stories about the mysterious school she is going that is /so/ obviously full of super-powered people.

His eyes go down to the menu, and he adds. "What would you ladies want as food?"

Pixie has posed:
Megan Gwynn sighs, "Well, more like forced, emergency education.." she rolls her eyes at Illy, but at least there is no malice in her voice as she says that, "I mean, not too keen on having a hole in my soul but you know, that teleportation spell came in handy. Like a lot. Heck I wouldn't mind learning other spells from you, provided you don't just take off and hang out in limbo for years again." she smirks.

To Conner, she shrugs, "Well it wasn't really up to me, Storm seemed to really connect with one of the kids, and Phoenix too. I trust them to do the right thing."

As for food, Megan shrugs, "Hmm, fish and chips looks good! And I might grab a London Fog too!"

Magik has posed:
    Illyana doesn't look surprised at Megan as she brings up the subject of more magical teaching. It's something that's been on Illyana's to-do list for a while now anyway. The X-Men don't really have a deep pool of magical people and Pixie's magic is something that she helped create in the first place. Or at least that's how she sees it. "It is something that I've been meaning to speak to you about. We should go further with your spells. Though, possibly when school begins again?"
    She wrinkles her nose a little at the idea of those teens being at the school, mostly as a students. In the past, the school has taken in people who have been dangerous when they first met them. But usually that was because their powers were out of control. These teens seemed to be fully in control of their powers. And they were trying to kill her. Illyana /does/ hold grudges. "I hope they /do/. I just hope that it is not a mistake."

Superboy has posed:
"Aren't you hungry?" Asks Conner, passing the menu to the blonde. Fish and Chips for him, definitely. It has been years since he visited GB. No comments about Megan learning more magic. Magic and Kryptonians don't get along at all. But it is part of Megan's mixed heritage, or at least that is what Conner things. "Mind you, you are also harbouring wanted criminals, so I do hope you are super-careful, pun intended."

Pixie has posed:
Megan Gwynn nods to Illy, grimacing a bit, "Just as long as I'm not being held hostage by demons and forced to recover your soul sword again or something. But seriously, I think it would be a good thi--..." oh shoot, did she just admit to x-men taking mutants in to a school? Of course Megan still hasn't said anything about *Xavier's* being a mutant school, but he might draw conclusions.

She siiighs, "Okay okay you got me there, just...You have to *swear* not to tell a soul about all of this, or we can get in serious trouble." she shrugs, "But I'm sure the Xmen know what they're doing."

Magik has posed:
    Illyana smiles to Megan, a smile that gives nothing away. "I guarantee nothing. But at least part of that is unlikely." She doesn't actually know what Conner is and isn't supposed to know. If she were trying to be cagey, she probably wouldn't have mentioned the X-Men at all earlier. But she assumes that Conner is in-the-know if Megan is asking him to come along on combat missions.
    She does stop Conner before he can hand her the menu. "Before I settle in, I actually wanted to take a look at a shop I passed on the way here. I didn't stop because I didn't want to be late meeting with you both. But now that I have, I should go. I should be back shortly, but if not, it was good seeing you both again and I'm sure I'll see you both soon." And with a smile, she stands up from the table to leave.

Superboy has posed:
"Relax, Megs," offers Conner. "I have been hearing about the mutant school for years. Long before I met you. I won't pry, just as I don't pry in the Bat-folks stuff in Gotham. I don't know the name of the school and I only know it is somewhere north of the city." When Illyana stands up, he arches an eyebrow. "Oh, okay. Should we wait for you for the deserts or something?"

Pixie has posed:
Megan Gwynn smiles and waves, "See you later, Illy!" she nods to Conner, "I'm sure she'll be back later. But I'm the meantime, I'm starved! Let's dig in!" she giggles as lunch is served and hungrily works on her fish and chips, "Well that's a relief, cuz I'm pretty bad at keeping secrets from you, and you're smart enough to see through my lies.." she makes a face.
