Synopsis: Summary needed
Cast of Characters: Red, Zeke Lincoln

Red has posed:
Alice is home for the weekend. Which means, Alice is actually roaming around M-Town after having had a little visit at her former workplace earlier in the morning, trading in some commissioned costumes she did for them for cash and more commissions. Because oddly enough, a girl needs to earn poket money to fund wherever she goes next semester. So, left with the options of sitting in her parents flat and do nothing as they are at work or going out on a walk, she's out roaming the streets, hands in the pockets of a warm jacket, eyes wandering the downtrodden brick buildings and brownstones.

Zeke Lincoln has posed:
As it's cold outside Zeke has opted to keep himself moving, hands shoved deep into the pockets of his old field jacket. As he strolls down the street he looks over the various people and places, still clearly getting used to the place. The rather large teen isn't quite completely aware of what he's doing as he people watches and finds himself nearly running into Alice. He has to stop himself up short just in the nick of time and says, "I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to almost run into you."

Red has posed:
Alice stumbles but catches herself at the near collision, quicklydusting off her jacket in more a gesture than the need for it, somewhat checking if her wallet is still where it belongs, but also giving Zeke back a smile. "Nono, I am sorry, I ain't seen yea and almost must have ran yea over. Yea ok?" There's some genuine concern in the voice.

Zeke Lincoln has posed:
"We can.. uhh.. both take the blame for it, then," Zeke says in a lame attempt at a joke. He sniffles, it is cold outside and his nose is a little red as a result, then nods his head, "I'm alright, just looking for a spot to get warm for a while." Those broad shoulders shrug, "It's not easy staying warm in weather like this, but I could be a lot worse off than I am now."

Red has posed:
Alice nods a little, searching the pockets for some paper tissues and offering one to Zeke. "here, try that. Yea gotta stay on top of your health you know?" she notes, before nodding on his weather allegation. "unless you walk or have a coffee break or something. What you mean by being off worse?"

Zeke Lincoln has posed:
Accepting the tissue Zeke says, "Thank you, ma'am." He holds it to his nose and blows a little bit so that he'll hopefully stop sniffling. The used tissue goes into his pocket, perhaps for later use. "I'm debating getting some coffee, but I don't have much money." And then, he says, "I could be hurt or sick or something."

Red has posed:
"Ma'am? I ain't even drinking age and yea call me Ma'am? Alice, if anything." She chuckles a little, before nodding. "Yea, or like dead, but then again, I ain't thinking dead feel the cold, but being dead must be horrible and all... anyway, how about we still get a coffee on my tab?"

Zeke Lincoln has posed:
"Okay, Alice. I'm sorry about that," Zeke says sheepishly, looking away for a moment. "Dead might be worse. I used to think I knew what would happen after, but I've had to do a lot of thinking about it lately." When asked about the coffee he looks around and then nods, "I'd like that. I can't pay you back or anything, though."

Red has posed:
"Why yea thinking about that? Ain't looking like you had faced someone throwing green firebolts or something at yea or rushed into a building on fire or something." Alice notes with a smile and shrug, pondering about a little, then gesuring a direction. "We can get a coffee somewhere around the corner there. And yea ain't need to pay me back. Yea aint owe me nothing."

Zeke Lincoln has posed:
"Some of the things I was taught growing up..." Zeke takes a deep breath, then shakes his head. "I'm just learning new things about how the world works, made me start thinking things over some more." Moving to walk alongside Alice he says, "Thank you so much. It really means a lot to me."

Red has posed:
"Comeon, let's get out of the cold so you ain't freezing to death and all." Alice leads the way to a small coffee shop, entering to order, gesturing to Zeke to do it same as her. "So, what year want to drink? What did yea learn that makes you think like that?"

Zeke Lincoln has posed:
"I'll take a regular coffee," Zeke says with a nod. "I uhh... Recently suffered some losses in my family and moved away from home," he explains.

Red has posed:
Alice nods as she pays for the coffees, then picks them up as she moves ot a booth, settling both onto the table. "That's bad to hear. I mean, moving out and losses and all are troubling. But you surely will get over it. Starting to settle in at your new home already?"

Zeke Lincoln has posed:
"Thank you," Zeke says as he takes a seat across from Alice, nodding his head at her before picking up his coffee cup. "I don't really have a home right now. I'm staying at a shelter." He adds quickly, "It's not really that bad."

Red has posed:
"It's nothing, but that is *horrible*! I mean, nobody should need a shelter, especially not someone as young as yea. Yea really have nobody to turn to and nowhere to go?"

Zeke Lincoln has posed:
"My dad kicked me out," Zeke says with a deep frown. "I uhh... My mom and some of my siblings died and I didn't." He takes a little sip from his coffee cup. "I'm.. I'm not normal. Dad said I'm a monster."

Red has posed:
"Ouch. I mean... being kicked out... but yea ain't looking like a monster. I mean, come on, you are a boy, why would yea dad call you a monster for surviving?"

Zeke Lincoln has posed:
"I." Zeke stops talking and looks down at the table. "I'm a mutant. The way I was raised... The way my family lives... The church..." He takes a deep breath, "I'm sorry. It's just that we were taught that mutants were monsters. I mean, I don't feel like a monster. The people I met here don't seem like monsters."

Red has posed:
Alice almost snickers at the confession but nods, at the words of church and all. "Ok, you got like to the best area to be an X-gene carrier and outright mutant. I mean, this *is* M-Town after all. And nobody here is a monster unless they act like one. However, it is troubling that those purifiers are still around after the debacle with the Sentinels a few years past."

Zeke Lincoln has posed:
"I don't know anything about that, really," Zeke admits. "We lived a pretty simple life. No TVs, no newspapers. Internet was only for homeschool classes. I spent more time on the farm or fishing and hunting than I did doing schoolwork, anyway. I just don't know a lot about how things work."

Red has posed:
"That sounds like amish with internet or something. But comeon, drink your coffee, I try to call someone, ok?" She pulls out her cellphone to dial a number, hoping to get someone on the other end.

Zeke Lincoln has posed:
"You don't need to call anybody," Zeke says as he has another sip from his drink, keeping both hands wrapped around the cup to warm his fingers. "I'm doing okay, I think. Really." He is, after all, a sixteen year old with no income who sleeps in a shelter. Fine, right?
