Cast of Characters: Pixie, Falcon, Phantasm (Drago), Cloak, SpyderByte, Magik, Wild Rose, Superboy
Tinyplot: Mutant Cure

Pixie has posed:
There have been rumours, warnings, news reports..All sorts of craziness that started with the lawful capture of mutant terrorists but soon spread to an all-out attack against all mutants, starting with those in Mutant town, and ending who-knows-where!?

Tensions were rapidly rising and as the fears of many were being realized, Dr. Brightman himself had had a change of heart. It was time to put an end to this madness. And so, amidst the news frenzy, he had taken his wife and daughter and retreated to his country cottage in Westchester County, not only for so,e peace and quiet, but also so he could work on an antidote to the horrors of Neutro-X.

Not unexpectedly, Dr. Henry McCoy, his former and friend had joined him in his quest for an antidote, and the two had locked themselves for hours in the basement laboratory where they toiled for hours on end on the antidote..

It should have been a happy ending to the story, but the story isn't yet at its end, and DAMT were hot on his trail. It was only a matter of time before they found him and assassinated him before his antidote could go public..Or so they believe.

Falcon has posed:
When he gets word of an impending attack on Dr. Brightman due to his work on an antidte to Neutro-X Sam Wilson springs into action. Donning the flight harness for his EXO-7 Falcon gear, he becomes The Falcon! Lifting off from the Avenger's mansion he soars towards the location of the scientist in question, ready to lend his abilities and the technology at his disposal to helping protect the scientist and his family.

As he flies through the air towards the cabin, The Falcon sends a message to his contact: <<Spyder Byte this is Falcon. I'm on the way. Going to deploy Redwing to scan for anything my goggles don't pick up. If you get any more info, though, give me a head's up. Over.>>

Even as he mentions Redwing the small, birdlike drone launches itself from Wilson's back, between his wings. The bird picks up speed and dives towards the ground to better utilize it's impressive sensor suite, transmitting the data it gathers to Sam's goggles in real time.

Phantasm (Drago) has posed:
A raven flies over the Westchester area unknowning of the danger that is brewing down below. However, this is no ordinary corvid and will sometimes answer to the name of Nick. There is no plans of defense going on in the bird's head. Nope. For this phantasm, it is just another time practicing one's ability. But magic tends to work in weird ways and sometimes... he ends up in the wrong place at the right time.

"RAWRK!"

The raven gives a surprised sound as a drone flies through him. The odd nature of his ability likely not picking up on the device's sensors. The bird's body barrel rolls before correcting, turning his head to see where the hell that thing came from. "HEY! Watch it!"

Cloak has posed:
This is a long way from the dark city alleys where people whispered about an angel and demon cleaning the drug dealers and scum off the street with their own strange and slightly horrifying brand of justice. Stranger still that the Darkness was without the Light, the shadowman a fleeting bit of lone darkness that appears in this tree or behind that shrub as he appears and vanishes out of reality.

How did Cloak even hear about this? Given his work in helping protect and recover the stolen mutant children as of late, it'd stand to reason he has some contacts out there. Whispers, a pointed finger, fearful looks; he has a way of learning what he needs.

And so he passes through the forest silent as a wraith, only the hiss of displaced air and pockets of lingering cold marking his passage.

SpyderByte has posed:
<< I understand. I will continue to monitor all incoming and outgoing cellular and data transactions in the area. I'm nearby, but I doubt you'll find me. >>

Jeremy is sitting in a park nearby in what appears to be a children's playhouse. His laptop is set up on the plastic table with a large battery backup tucked away in his tactical backpack. He has his cell phone paired to the computer and is currently sitting on a top of the line firewall bundled with Xavier technology.

On the screen is several video feeds from various traffic cameras, as well as whatever security the good Doctor may have had installed. Punching through is like hitting wet tissue paper for him these days.

<< I'm off the clock with this one. I didn't let anyone know I'm coming out here. This is personal to me. >>

The green bubble pops up once more on Falcon's communicator, along with a flashing spider cursor.

As he focuses, the Doctor will receive a text message that pops up on his computer or phone, whatever is the easiest device. << Hello Doctor Brightman. My name is SpyderByte and I am a friend of Doctor McCoy's. I have reason to believe you may be under attack tonight as your location has been compromised. I have the Avengers enroute as we speak to secure your survival and protection. >>

Magik has posed:
A portal opens just outside the cabin where Dr. Brightman is hiding out. There's a lot of interest in the doctor tonight, even if he's trying to hide himself away. But Megan had told Illyana and Conner about the concerns for the doctor's safety and so Illyana felt obliged to pitch in with the effort to keep him safe. This is starting to become a habit.
And so, as the portal opens, a moment later Illyana steps through and onto the soft grass beside the cabin. "Looks like we're early...", she says as she looks out at the perimeter for signs of any activity that could've already happened. "Should we knock and let someone know we're here?"

Wild Rose has posed:
Tensions had been high in Bushwick since the attacks, and the weaponization of Neutro-X. Tensions and fear had been running rampant. It was one attack on her home too many, yet Riana was uncertain how best to step in.

An odd message came through on her phone. It was a location closer to Salem Center, off in the woods, and it sounded the sort of thing Remy might be well suited for.

But somehow, the message had gotten through to Riana as well. It came on the back of a tiny, flashing green spider on the screen of her phone. The creator of Neutro-X was in immediate danger, and sought to make things right. This is not something Riana would ignore. Without a second thought, she made the drive to Salem Center, following the rest of the way on foot. Her bo staff was in hand, and she was in black from head to foot--black hoodie, jeans, and sneakers. She also had her phone, and tapped out a quick message.

<<Spyderbyte. Arriving at location now, please advise. --Wild Rose>>

Superboy has posed:
Conner looks somewhat unhappy after the stepping disk trip. Magic is bad news for Kryptonians and relatives, and he happens to be hanging out with a girl called Magik. "Uh, no? I mean, I am pretty sure we are not supposed to be here," and where is here? He looks around... oh, Westchester. Again. What a coincidence! "I guess we should find a good place to watch over the house. We can take turns."

He has a cellphone in hand, and looks relived he has coverage again. <<We are here. Are you sure this guy is legit? Sounds like a mad scientist to me.>> He texts to the depowered girl.

Pixie has posed:
Megan Gwynn had decided to step this one out, even though she wasn't completely depowered. But this wasn't the best time to test her melee abilities with her soul dagger against professional hit men. So she's in her dorm, chewing her nails anxiously, eyes glued to the phone and in constant communication with Conner and Illyana. <<Not a mad scientist. Used to be a friend and associate of Dr. McCoy. They are our only hope of finding an antidote and I hear this..'Cure' could even be deadly..We can't let the bad guys get to him first so please try and protect them..How are things going on so far?>>. she sure can type fast..

Within the large, luxurious two-storeywith developed basement, it is clear that Dr. Brightman is quite wealthy and living a comfortable life. But at least he is not a selfish man. And while he and Dr. McCoy are in the basement discussing equations and formulas and genetics involving big scientific words, his wife is in the kitchen cooking and listening to the radio propped up on the nearby window, while her daughter is in the living room watching cartoons, laughing every so often.

Seems like a peaceful family setting - on the outside at least. But trouble is not far behind. Phantasm and Falcon may spot it first from the sky in the form of two forms - one large and muscular crashing through the shrubbery, the other thin and lean, moving at eye blurring speeds through the fotest, both making a beeline for the cottage. The security cameras fed to Jeremy may pick up two other cyborgs coming from opposite corners, one brandishing plasma blasters on each arm, the other armed with lots of swords held by each of her four arms. The one with blasters is already aiming an energy blast towards the kitchen window while the other readies tear gas to toss into the window.

But of course Brightman has his phone on the table when it buzzes. He frowns as his phone and doesn't look at it or answer immediately, being pretty busy with monitoring the injections he is currently giving Beast. "You sure about this? So far so good, but..." he sighs, glancing at his phone, and only checks it some 5-10 minutes later. Oh yes, Beast may have mentioned him. He frowns, and types. <<That is always a possibility but I cannot stop now. We are close...So close..I cannot afford distractions!>> and he puts his phone on silent. Beast seemed to be doing well earlier but now he seems agitated, snarling and growling, shaking the bars, "Calm down Hank, it's me!"

SpyderByte has posed:
As he spies the new IP suddenly appear in the vicinity, Jeremy leans his head forward and peers at it. After a quick hack and trace using a boost of his powers, he licks his lips with a grin. He taps away on the computer with a blur of his fingers as he hunches over.

Falcon, Rianna and Conner's phone suddenly *PING* in all caplocks. Green bubbles and white texts.

<< INCOMING INCOMING! Reavers at the back of the house! South and South East! One armed with plasma cannon the other has grenades. Falcon of the Avengers is enroute. Wild Rose on foot. Tell Illyana that this is Spyder Byte and I will be your wingman. >>

The security system of the house suddenly goes off! WOOT! WOOT! WOOT! WOOT! WOOT!

<< Falcon! I am pinging you locations of his wife and daughter. Brightman is in the basement. I have video feeds on everyone inside and out. You have friendlies on the ground as well. I'm going to try and stall as long as I can. >>

As he slides his hands along the laptop, he grips it tightly and lets out a painful grunt in his throat as his nose breaks into a bloody dribble. He sends a command to the one Reaver with the plasma rifle: Shoot yourself in the foot. Do it. Do it. Do it.

The systems are incredibly challenging, but the world class mutant hacker is relentless. Lives are on the line and he'll short his brain out to protect them.

Falcon has posed:
"Oh damn! Talking bird," Sam Wilson says out loud after his drone flies through said animal. "My bad. Redwing must not have seen you." Something about the corvid's voice is incredibly familiar, but the Falcon can't quite place it. Yet.

Then his goggles' AR display starts lighting up. People are approaching the cabin. Redwing circles around to get eyes on the folks on the ground, projecting images of them into a corner of the goggles. The man himself decides to bring it in closer, gliding down close to the ground and shifting to a loud, clear command voice, "Alright, folks! We've got four tangos incoming." As he says the next part he starts pointing, "One big guy knocking over foliage, one small and fast as hell. Plasma cannon guy over there..." More pointing. "Grenadier thataway." He circles around again, "I'll work on neutralizing the big guy at our twelve and relaying information. If one of you can keep up..." He eyes the guy with the 'S' on his chest, "Don't let the little guy through. Everybody else, try to take out those other two and get Brightman's family to safety. Please and thank you."

And then he's heading back into the air, going after the person doing the deforestation. Sam's going to be letting his goggles settle on them to establish a missile lock. "The is Falcon of the Avengers! Turn back now or be reduced to paste."

Phantasm (Drago) has posed:
Recognizing an Avenger, and getting accustomed to random teamups thanks to Tony putting him on some sort of call list, the bird's wings flaps as he flies alongside falcon, seemingly eavesdropping on what the Avenger has to say and point at.

At the mention of the family, Phantasm looks over to Falcon and then to the house everyone seems to be converging on.

"Shit-"

The bird zooms down towards the cottage that seems to be of high interest.

Cloak has posed:
As both sides of the conflict converge on the cabin in the woods, Cloak finds himself a perch nearby where he can see the house and look over the approaching parties. Nothing to see here. Just a shadow in a tree that's way larger than any owl but scowling down with the same eerie stare.

Four targets, if the shouting aerial soldier is correct. Cloak doesn't sound out, only grunts in the back of his throat as he looks towards the Reavers. Again the dark man vanishes and relocates to a closer branch overhead where he crouches, looking for the one of the four that may be a little farther out. A little more on their own. Maybe distracted... or shooting himself in the foot? Interesting. Like a leopard he hunts from above, patient and waiting for the opportunity to drop down.

He seems to choose Jeremy's unfortunate target. He drops down with a sudden swoop that'd make Batman maybe nod with approval, looking to simultaneously wrap up the Reaver and teleport between world with it in tow.

Magik has posed:
"When they get attacked by killer cyborgs, you don't think they'll notice anyone outside?", Illyana answers Conner. If her magical abilities are leaving him uneasy, she's not letting on that she's noticing. She makes lots of people nervous. This isn't anything new. "But I don't mind taking turns."

And when the alarms for the cabin's security go off moments later, she continues. "... though it looks like we got here are the right time." She glances down to her right hand, considering summoning the SoulSword, but realizes that she doesn't need to draw the attention to her that it would bring. Not yet. Instead, she makes her way around the cabin, to get a better view of exactly what's going on, though before she does, she opens a portal right in front of one of the front windows to the house. If they start firing on the house, it should at least provide some protection.

Superboy has posed:
"What a coincidence," mutters Conner, showing Illyana the messages. "Can you port the people out of the house? I am going to try to stop whatever they use," whoos. He takes the air and turns around. Enhanced vision shows him Falcon (cool) and the four very suspicious guys closing by.

Two cyborgs on one side, and two supers at the other? Or maybe also cyborgs. Who knows? The one with speed might be the first to reach the house, so he flies down to attempt to intercept him. <<Megs. Gottta go. Badguys ar ehere.>> He sends to Megan, typing fast and typoing lots.

Wild Rose has posed:
Oh, great. Four Reavers? Lovely. An immediate glance around the area has the biggest one closes to Riana's position.

If a missile hit that, it could get very messy--especially this close to the house.

Thankfully, this wasn't the first time she'd wound up teaming up with the Avengers, and had the sense to keep a hold of a comm unit. That would make things a LOT easier. She slips the device into her ear and taps it. "Falcon, you copy? Wild Rose. En route to the big guy, let me 'escort' him to a safe distance for disposal via ordinance."

Riana angles her approach to put herself in the path of the biggest of the cyborgs, cracking her knuckles. Eyeing the thing up and down, she pursed her lips. The cyborg was pretty large, but hopefully not as heavy as it looked. As it lumbered through the woods towards her, she closes the distance, dipping down as if to skirt right past it.

But this was not the case.

Instead, as she sidestepped the Reaver, she reaches out to grab it by the waist and shoulder, in the style of hip-checking someone to the ground, hopefully throwing it off-balance enough to pick the thing right up off the ground. "Ready those missiles, Falcon, I'm gonna move this beastie away from the house!"

Pixie has posed:
WOOT! WHOOT! TWEE!!

The alarms blare loudly and Mrs. Brightman freezes, peering out the window at the gun aimed at her. Fortunately the plasma cyborg finds himself struggling to keep his aim true and he grits his teeth, his gun going straight up into the sky before his shaking hand brings it down to his foot, fighting, struggling against the new, rogue command issued. His eyes widen when the cloaked man in shadows steps out and sweeps him away, his shocked yell catching in his throat as he vanishes.

Mrs Brightman spares no time, dashing for the living room, grabbing her daughter, pushing them both to the ground, moments before the sword woman tosses tear gas in through the window, filling the room with blinding gas. The two cough and sputter as they try to crawl to safety..Only to find themselves face to face with the four armed sword woman..

As for the strongman, he snarls at Falcon, about to charge him when he is unexpectedly lifted up by Riana. He snarls, and while she-may be able to lift him, it seems his strength is perhaps greater than hers, greater than Beast's even as he attempts to deliver a powerful kick to her mid section in a bid to release him.

And as Conner approaches the speedster, he smirks and attempts to charge at him with lightning quick punches, each punch with about a ton of force behind it. He sure isn't pulling any punches.

And down below, Dr Brightman and Beast both freeze. Baaad timing, real bad timing. Spooked, Beast roars and breaks free of his prison, punching a hole through the wall and streaking through the forest, a blue streak of mad, feral fur against the green backdrop..

SpyderByte has posed:
<< My target just .. disappeared. I don't know where. From what I see, some shadow just swallowed him up. One down, three to go. Sword woman has gained entry into the house and after his wife and child! I'm losing visuals from a smoke grenade she threw in, but I can hear them coughing. >>

Spyder Byte continues to tap away at the keyboard, then swipes his hand along his nose to clear the blood away as the connetion to the last Reaver has cut out. It sure cleared his head, followed by a burst of adrenaline.

Falcon has posed:
"Roger, Wild Rose," Sam replies over his comms to the person trying to move the big Reaver out of the range of his weaponry. Unfortunately, the big guy seems to be matched well with the woman fighting him. When she tosses him it's not as far as expected, but enough that the Falcon can get in close. He dives down, ready to plant a drop kick on the guy's face. As he attempts his kick Wilson's submachine guns snap into his hands and he gets ready to unload on the Reaver once he's through with his kicking.

Phantasm (Drago) has posed:
It doesn't take too long for Phantasm to make his way down to the cottage and through the wall. It doesn't take long to determine where said family is. They'd be the ones on the floor. While getting the pair of innocents out is up there on the priority list, There is CURRENTLY a pressing concern is the multi-armed woman likely to stab them before he could be of any assistance to that departure.

So... time to deviate.

The raven's path adjusts in flight, form shifting to a much larger form as a guardian of the fluff takes form, gliding into the sword woman. Forget the family, four swords. You got four paws of claws to deal with.

And teeth.

Don't forget the teeth.

Cloak has posed:
The Reaver with the plasma gun may or may not know what hit him. Even more confusing is the world that he'd end up in next. The few people who come back seems to be under some kind of NDA, because they usually don't explain anything about what they saw or experienced.

They just scream. The lucky ones huddle quietly in a corner.

There's no immediate return of Cloak or the Reaver in question, there there's a lingering patch of darkness where they'd been that seems to be shivering and shuddering in and out of existence. Maybe cyborgs don't go down as smooth as normal people?

Magik has posed:
As she hears the window to the cabin shatter, Illyana looks inside the cabin to watch the chaos with the grenade unfold. She could charge through the window, but it's not going to help her navigate the inside of the house. So she changes tactics and disappears into one of her portals, a fresh portal appearing right in front of the doctor's family, the blonde stepping out of the portal just enough to guide them inside, "This way... is this everyone?" It's one thing to protect the family. It's another to whisk them away to another dimension where they should be safe. Well, safe at least from Reavers.

Wild Rose has posed:
The kick to Riana's midsection lands well, knocking the wind from her in the same instant she launches the Reaver away from her. It was perhaps not her finest bit of work, but it was sufficient to get the job done. As she catches her breath, she watches Falcon drop-kick the Reaver, and prepare to let loose with a volley of firepower.

"Go get 'im, Falcon. Backtracking to the house and offer some cover for the family."

The moment she can breathe again, she's off towards the cabin, where the fight definitely appears to have heated up. They weren't out of the woods on this one yet.

Superboy has posed:
Conner kind of sees the speedster coming, but the truth is the other man is seriously faster, and he can barely tense and stand the blur of punches. Fortunately just a ton of force impacts are not enough to really hurt him.

In fact, they might hurt the other guy more. So he attempts to roll with the hits. In part because he doesn't want the speedster to break bones, but mostly so he can make a more or less controlled landing.

"Wow, fast," he says. Speaking quickly. "But can you fly?" Conner punches the ground. His fist moving at a good fraction of the speed of sound. Yet he is not putting his full strength in the hit, instead he is just touching the ground to make his tactile telekinesis run and explode over the floor, shattering it, and hopefully making the speedster lose his footing.

Then, if he stumbles, Conner attempts to tackle him.

Pixie has posed:
Dr Brightman is about to follow after the fleeing Beast but the blaring alarms and a commotion upstairs warn that a far greater threat is approaching. "Dammit.." he mutters, collecting his supplies - including the ever important antidote - into his briefcase and hurries upstairs to join his wife and child who are still coughing on the ground, but semi conscious and alive. Fortunately the pellet was not a lethal dose, only enough to stun. He brings a handkerchief to his mouth, hurrying to help them to their feet.

"Laura! Katie!" unfortunately with the place surrounded there aren't many escape routes. Until fresh air and a portal appears. He frowns, eyeing the woman warily. "Are you one of the Xmen?" wait, Beast may have mentioned Magick, and the uniform signifies she is one of the good guys. He nods and follows her, "Thank you.."

The sword woman is caught off guard as a giant furry shadowy creature jumps on her and she stumbles back, wildly swinging those fours swords at him in an attempt to get him off and maybe slice him to pieces.

Outside, the tough guy stumbles back a bit, immune to regular bullets but maybe not quite as immune to these higher calibre bullets. He snarls as they bruise his tough metallic body, slowing him down but not entirely stopping him and he charges Falcon again, trying to swing a punch at him if he can get close enough.

Superboy is slower but stronger and tougher than his target and while the speedster outruns him for a bit, he's not prepared for a supe4 punch slamming the ground. He gives a startled yell, flying up then crashing to the ground. Stunned for now and out of the game.

Falcon has posed:
Rather than try more hand to hand combat against the big Reaver, Sam Wilson takes to the sky to get himself some distance. Once up in the air he levels one of his bracers at his enemy and lets loose a rocket aimed straight for center mass. Unlike many superhero types the Falcon will just blow someone up. Should the rocket not do the trick the aerial acrobat still has a missile lock on his foe and is ready to engage with the more potent explosives at his disposal.

Phantasm (Drago) has posed:
The wolf snarls as it remains latched on, the claws and teeth alternating in that duty. The swordswoman's efforts is at least rewarded with the thin lines indicative of blade cuts in certain spots but oddly nothing drips from the bleeding wolf.

Phantasm flopping about with the woman's movements, there is definitely need to try something else other than latch and claw. Now if there was just some type of distraction...

Magik has posed:
The world on the other side of the portal might not be the safest place in the world for the fleeing family. But it's an improvement. When the doctor offers Illyana his thanks, she doesn't really acknowledge it. She's focused on the task at hand. She's already cleared the demons out of the room she'd be landing the family in. "So... where were you thinking of going?", she asks, shutting the portal behind her. She'll need to come back for Conner when she's done, but she's sure he can take care of himself for now. And these people aren't especially safe in Limbo.

Superboy has posed:
Conner pounces on the stunned speedster. He knows from personal experience someone like Impulse would recover in tenths of second, this guy doesn't seems quite as fast, but he is far stronger. He needs to handcuff to something sturdy and maybe find some rope. Or maybe... instead he steals a trick from Ben Grim's book and ties the speedster up using a lamppost.

And if Falcon has not finished the bruiser, then Conner heads there to help.

Wild Rose has posed:
Sometimes, the simple solutions were the best ones.

As Riana races towards the house, the Phantasm's struggle with the four-armed swordswoman is plain. As tough as he looked, it appeared as if it would only be a matter of time before the Reaver did him some serious harm. Not too far from the house lay what looked like several large flowerpots, perhaps used for container gardening in the warmer months. Riana just smiled grimly, picking up one of the larger containers, which appeared to be fashioned of terracotta.

When all else fails, pick up the geranium, and apply it to the cranium.

It was a thing of beauty.

Pixie has posed:
It seems tough guy underestimated Falcon. As he soars out of the way and careens down on him with a bigger gun so to speak, the cyborg starts to leap towards him..Only to get buried in the blast, which pushes him deep into the ground before exploding. When the dust clears, his body twitches but is now down for the count..

Which just leaves the sword woman who continues to slash at the wolf creature although perhaps not with much luck as he continues to latch on I. spite of the well placed slashes. She does not see the terracotta pot til it slams it over her head, and while she seems tough enough to merely be stunned briefly by it, it's enough of a distraction to at least stop attacking the tenacious wolf thing clinging madly to her.

Meanwhile, the small family stumbles out into....Limbo? "What is this place? Are you sure it's safe!?"

Falcon has posed:
With tough guy out of the fight, at least for the time being, Falcon soars back towards the cabin. "Looks like the family's clear," he announces loudly after Redwing shows that they've disappeared. There's still the sword wielding cyborg to take care of, however, and while she's tied up with a wolf and Wild Rose Sam decides to lend a hand. Not literally, of course, but by having his drone use it's grappling launcher to try to entangle the Reaver.

Magik has posed:
Illyana didn't just drop them in the middle of Limbo. She brought them there indoors. In a place that she can control. It's a relatively safe place compared to the Reaver infested cabin. So as long as nobody looks out a window, it's just overbearingly hot and smells like brimstone. But she doesn't want these people here long. Because it isn't safe. Not really. So she's honest with them. "It is not. So if you have somewhere we can go, I'll take you there. But I don't recommend going back to your cabin right now."

Phantasm (Drago) has posed:
... Okay. THAT will do.

As the sword woman is distracted by Riana's attack, combined with a drone flying in to provide even more things for the sword woman to focus on, Phantasm uses the opportunity eagerly. He channels some of his energy into the armed figure. When the woman moves from position, the two of them end up vanishing from the waking realm.

...

Ah dreams are a silly place. Sometimes you end up going to the recreation of an event. Other times it is a collage of memories crammed together nonsensically, and this time around, well- they're treated to a bunch of talking ponies.

Friendship is Magic. And so is Phantasm.

Another step will lead them into a different dream. Looks like someone's been watching a Gilligan's Island marathon before bed.

Well, this tour will definitely be less than three hours. But once he was sure they were a far enough distance, the sword woman will indeed be cast away.

BUT WHERE?!

Cloak has posed:
As the assorted do-gooders get in their punches and portals, the shadow that was fluttering on the ground disappears in a soft puff that manages to somehow sound satisfied and smug. If shadows had feelings. They don't, right?

Cloak reappears a half moment's later inside of the house. He pulls a face at the smoke, but outside of clearly not liking it he doesn't seem terribly bothered either. He looks left, he looks right. He tilts his head like someone trying to listen. But that sword lady is making a ruckus and now someone is breaking the nice pottery and it's just a mess. And then two of the noisy ones are gone.

With a sour growl, the man looks towards where Magick's portal has been. It seems the target is gone too. Frowning, he disappears in on himself and out of sight to let the smoke roll back in to the spot he just vacated.

Superboy has posed:
Now Big Bad Guy is KOed, Conner pulls out the cellphone again. Probably Megan has been texting him like mad. So he writes <<Okay. Bad guys are down and I think Illy took the Doc and his family to safely. -ish. You know where.>>

He will let Megan to confirm that for him while he does a wide area sweep to look for more goons. They might have not come alone, after all.

SpyderByte has posed:
<< Good work guys. I'm out of here. Spyderbyte.. out. >>

Jeremy packs up his gear as he sees the headlights approaching down the street. He waves to his ride and steps inside, giving the directions to where he'll get dropped off, followed by another ride back home. Always swap vehicles often. It's a rule.

Pixie has posed:
"Uh. I see.." Brightman frowns as he peers out the window, "Fascinating, but..Perhaps you can port is to my sister's house? Here are the coordinates.." and he writes down the addresss of his sister's house, offering her a location in as if need be. "It should be safe enough..For now. But I need to find Dr McCoy and make sure he is safe. Thank you..Miss..?" no he didn't get a name yet.

But back on earth it seems the heroes have things well under control. The other villains are either KO'd or tied up, and sword woman suddenly finds herself in canterlot (?!) among other places.
rAt least she's not causing anymore trouble tonight.

Which just leaves a feral, naked Beast running about the forest in the middle of the night.

Oh and a frantic Megan back at the base who has probably sent Conner a bajillian texts by now.<<Conner you ok?! what happened? Did you find him? Wha...Illy sent him to Limbo? Sheeesh......>> but seems she trusts her enough to know the Brightman's are in safe hands...

Wild Rose has posed:
Sword lady? Gone. Giant lumberjack goon? Gone. Brightman family? Out of harm's way. Dr. McCoy?

     Oh, dear.

Riana shook her head, tapping her comm again. "Falcon, I'm not seeing any sign of this... Dr. McCoy in the area. Think we could track him down between the two of us?"

     Because let's face it--some things just can't be un-seen....
