Cast of Characters: Sparrowhawk, Red Robin

Sparrowhawk has posed:
What do you do when you're young, you've got a fabulously rich boyfriend, a stunningly dangerous career and a penchant for adventure?

    "Tiiiiiim--"

... and you're also kinda nerdy?

"Have you seen the orange wireless controller?"

Currently, Phoebe was upside-down on the couch, legs in the air, searching under it for the orange game console controller. She's wearing plaid pajama pants and a T-shirt promoting some Gotham kindness initiative.

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake looks over and smiles at her "Yes." He walks over to a panel on the wall, and presses a button and his hidden work table fold down. He looks around and his back hides he is putting screws back into the controller. He then comes over to her and offers her the controller.

Sparrowhawk has posed:
Phoebe accepts the controller, suspiciously looking it over since Tim took it from a panel on the wall, and then she waggles it a moment.

"Changed out the battery for a long-lasting bat-battery?" she questions with an amused expression to the tinkerer and tech nerd.

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake grins a bit and says "Amongst other things, I also changed out the receiver and transmitter, so should have a faster response time, and less likely to get cross channel interference. I also put in a blue tooth connection for better headset quality and made some rumble straps for you if ya want to try them.

Sparrowhawk has posed:
"... what, you got bored? Am I not training enough?" Phoebe inquires as she turns her controller over in her hands, and draws her gaze up to the dark-haired vigilante.

"There is a saying about 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it', but now I'm curious about stronger rumble straps."

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake grins and says "There is a new game coming out in a month or two, and hoping to get us an early copy. I figured if we are going to play I needed to make sure your controller was equal to mine. The new straps should give more a vibration to let you know which way your being hit from. They have three setting light, normal and distraction.

Sparrowhawk has posed:
"... oh yeah, *that* can't be used for nefarious reasons." Phoebe points out in amusement, sitting on the couch and motioning for Tim to join her.

"So think you'll get your hands on an advance copy for playtesting?" she inquires, eyebrows rising up.

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake nods and says "I should, it is a guy from Japan, I know, I get him to new Wayne tech video cards about a week before release, he does the same with games. It is late enough that can't really be copied before the real one comes out if something were to happen with the advanced version.

Sparrowhawk has posed:
"Aaah... well that's not bad, I guess. You get a tester that can put your cards through their paces, he gets a tester that can break down every possible cheat or glitch in a game. Nerd." Phoebe jokes, and if Tim sits down she's just going to swing her legs up over his lap, totally casual.

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake does sit down and as the legs are put across his lap, he rubs her lower legs, and feet smiling over at her "Nerd lover." He retorts back to her. "Works out pretty well, plus it is always good to have folks in foreign places who like you just in case.

Sparrowhawk has posed:
"Uh-huh. Is that the best you got? 'Nerd Lover'? I have managed to write on a different Tolkien or Lewis work every year since kindergarten, speak three languages and the best you have for me is 'nerd lover'? Oh my gosh, I've called members of the chess team worse." Phoebe laughs, just... smiling and comfortable around Tim.

"So, Japan is on the list, still?"

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake nods, and says "Yes, I still want to take you there and let you see all the cool stuff, and the weird stuff as well." He looks her over and says "See, I aint hearing Asamov, or Adams, in those names," He teases at her book references.

Sparrowhawk has posed:
"That's for Ethics and Philosophy." Phoebe sticks her tongue out. "Asamov for ethics, and Adams for philosophy, because realistically if you're going to hide the plans behind a sign that says 'Beware the Puma'..."

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake chuckles a bit more at her, and says "And did you ever try out any of the Xanth novels?" He will ask her, seeing if she ever got into the less classic more cheese series.

Sparrowhawk has posed:
"No, but I was a big fan of the Tripod series in middle school, and moved on to post-apocalyptic sci-fi and a lot of Star Wars." she gives a wry smile over to Tim. "Though let me tell you, Freshman year I wrote a scathic takedown of the World of Gor series."

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake looks to her and says "Xanth is a fun serious, fantasy based, with a bit of real world. There is a place in Florida where there is a magical barrier, everything outside it is normal and mundane, but inside magic is real, and puns are real. Like a shoe tree, is a tree where that grows trees, tulips are flowers that will kiss you if you get to close, pineapples are basicly gernades

Sparrowhawk has posed:
"That sounds ridiculous and childish." Phoebe decides after a moment, and then she reaches for her phone. "I must reserve a copy of the series at the library at once."
