Cast of Characters: Wild Rose, Sentinel (Dallas)

Wild Rose has posed:
An empty storefront along the main drag in Mutant Town had a 'for lease' sign on it for the longest time. It seemed as if the poor place would never see use again. But it turned out to be the answer to one woman's prayers. Sure, it needed a little TLC, but aside from any structural work, electrical, and plumbing, Riana was willing to roll up her sleeves and put in the work.

Light gold bamboo flooring had been installed in what looked to be turning into a studio of some sort, and there were drop cloths all around the perimeter. The reason why was plainly evident, as Riana was putting a fresh coat of cream-colored paint up on the walls. She's in some old blue jeans, a white t-shirt that looked as if it had seen better days, and old white sneakers that definitely -had- seen better days. Her flame red hair is tied back in a ponytail, and she has splotches of paint on her face, arms, and clothing. But she's smiling, and singing along with the classic 1980's tunes blaring through a small radio/CD/clock combination off to one side.

"We're leaving together
But still it's farewell
And maybe we'll come back
To Earth, who can tell....?"

Sentinel (Dallas) has posed:
Imagine if you will Olivia Newton-John in the last scene of Grease. Tight black leather pants, a black sleeveless blouse with a low cut neck, gold hoop earrings and braclets... now imagine that on a Capuchin Monkey and that is how Tina has dressed today. Aust, as usual is wearing his red Gotham Knight's hoodie and jeans. He ducks his head into the shop, more out of curiosity then anything and calls out "Hello?" then sneezes from the dust stired up in the air... "Hello?" he calls out again. "Heard final Countdown and was just curious, don't shoot."

Wild Rose has posed:
Too, the smell of fresh paint is heavy in the air, as is the music. Riana has no trouble picking out Austin's voice out of the mix of sounds, turning about with a paint roller in her hand, splatters of paint on her face, and a twinkle in her eyes. "Bless you! Watch out for those dust bunnies, they're deadly when cornered! They'll be gone before the studio opens, though." Reaching into her left side pocket, she pulls out a small packet of tissues, offering them to Austin.

Austin's outfit barely gets a second glance from her. But as she looks at Tina? Well, now that raises her eyebrows. "Okay, so there's a girl who knows what she likes! She IS a girl, right?"

Sentinel (Dallas) has posed:
Tina gives a little chirp and crosses her legs from her perch on Austin's shoulder looking very amused. Austin for his part just grins. "Oh yeah, and she's a complete Diva as well." He says mildly amused. He looks around the space curiously. "Studio? Like Art studio or Dance Studio?" he asks curiously, taking the tissue but first using it to wipe the paint from the older woman's nose.

Wild Rose has posed:
"Martial arts studio. Tang Soo Do." Riana's nose twitches slightly as Austin dabs some of the paint from the end of it, and she just chuckles. "Been looking for a good spot for a year or so to set up in. My beau helped me find this spot, bless him." Her eyes seem to dance with mirth as she looks Tina over, though her voice remains perfectly deadpan. "She's no diva. She just knows her worth and wants to make sure everyone else does, too."

Sentinel (Dallas) has posed:
Tina preens slightly, almost seeming to smirk at Austin. Austin rolls his eyes slightly, "See now you're going to give her a big head." He says amused. He tilts his head slightly, "I'm a mixed Martial artist myself, though I have to admit I'm not familier with Tang Soo Do." He grins a bit curiously, "What does it entail, if you don't mind my asking?"

Wild Rose has posed:
"A lot of it is kicks, hand strikes, and blocks in self-defense. There's some grabs and throws, but you're more apt to see the former than the latter." Riana lays the paint roller down in a tray full of paint, tucking a wisp of bright red hair out of her face--and leaving another streak of cream paint along her cheek in the process. "Name's Riana Mackenzie. What's yours?"

Sentinel (Dallas) has posed:
Austin Dallas offers his hand and tells her his name with a bit of a smile, "And this is of course Tina, she's the brains of the operation." He says with a grin. Tina does a slight hair flip, grinning and offering Riana her own hand, palm down as though she expected her knuckles to be kissed. "so when do yuo think you'll be open? I'm always up for picking up a new style.."

Wild Rose has posed:
Well, who was Riana to refuse such a gesture to a diva? Pardon, to someone who knew and broadcasted their true worth? Chuckling, she shook Tina's hand, kissing it very briefly in a semi theatrical sort of way. "Pleased to meet you both. Ooof. I'm mostly doing things besides electrical, plumbing, and structural either on my own or with my beau helping. Best bet is to stop by and check in when you can, at least for the next few weeks."

Sentinel (Dallas) has posed:
Austin Dallas looks around the place wuith a smile, "Well I know nothing about plumbing and less about electrical work, but I'm pretty handy with a broom and paint roller." He looks back to Riana and grins a bit, "Maybe I could help you get the place cleaned up if you were willing to throw in a few free lessons?" he asks with a smile.

Wild Rose has posed:
Riana grins and nods. "Sounds like a good deal. You put in some elbow grease, I'll throw in some lessons." And just like that, the deal was done. Picking up the paint roller again, Riana gets back to work on the wall that had been paintus interruptus, humming as she worked. "So you said you were into MMA? Been in any competitions or anything like that?"
