Skating in a Winter Wonderland

Synopsis:	Buffy and Thomas go skating in the park.

Buffy Summers has posed:
It's been a while since Buffy got back to her roots, and even had the time or energy to do something other than slaying, saving the world or generally anything supernaturally related. It was nice to get out and about and enjoy something as simple as skating in the park, something which she is actually very good at.

Which is why she pulled Thomas out here to join her for some fun and maybe some cozy hot chocolate after. "Sooo have you skated before?" she asks as they near the ice rink, skates slung over one shoulder, dressed in a short white puffer jacket and jeans over a cream sweater. It's a bit chilly tonight.

Thomas Raith has posed:
Thomas Raith is wearing, surprise surprise, a white sweater and jeans, and he grins slightly as he laces the skates up. "Never in my life," He admits with a bit of a grin. "Seems simple enough though, right? Balance and momentum?" he asks with an amused smile, trying to pull himself onto his feet. She didn't have to try hard to get him to go out with her, at least there are no sewers involved.

Buffy Summers has posed:
Buffy Summers laughs as she sits next to him on the steps to lace up her own skates, fingers working expertly on the well worn leather. "You know, It's been ages since I skated. Hope I still remember how to do this!"she finishes lacing them up, wobbling a bit on her feet as she adjusts to the change in balance. "I used to skate all the time as a kid, before I got busy with, you know, slaying and stuff..Mostly slaying. Always wanted to make a career out of it but guess that never happened.."

Thomas Raith has posed:
Thomas Raith stands and takes her hand, "Well then you can show me how it's done, right?" he says with a bit of a grin. Of course once on the ice he is as smooth and graceful as a swan on a still lake... "Is that something you've thought about allot? What if you weren't activated?"

Buffy Summers has posed:
Buffy Summers smiles, taking his hand, following him to the ice. At first Buffy's a bit wobbly, but a few steps and her muscle memory returns, moving swiftly gracefully as she skates alongside him, and does a few practices twists and turns, moving as gracefully as if she'd been doing this all her life.

"Cant tell you how good it feels to have my body back..And I guess so?" she sighs and shrugs, "I think about it a lot. I often wonder what it would have been like if I was still a cheerleader, still popular, maybe I'd become homecoming Queen or happier, carefree, just a normal teenager doing normal things..Maybe I'd have a career now and maybe...Maybe my parents would still be together...?"

The last part is said more quietly.

Thomas Raith has posed:
"And likely we wouldn't be." He points ou, scating backwards around her, tiliting his head and smiling. "I mean, most likely scenerio, you come into the Club and we have an amazing night together..." He says casually.

Buffy Summers has posed:
Buffy Summers pauses a moment, slowing down as she considers the realization. "Hmm you're right. I never really considered that, even if it's obvious. I mean..My experiences as the Slayer really shaped who I am as a person. If I was never activated, If be as fake and shallow as I was before, like probably countless other women you have..."

She bites her lip, hesitant, "You seduced and...forgot about just as easily. Plus, I wouldn't be able to sustain you, or give you the relationship you always wanted.."
