Date of Scene: 16 February 2021
Location: Morrisania, The Bronx
Synopsis: Supergirl hears a familiar voice and drops in to say hi
Cast of Characters: Supergirl, Phobos

Supergirl has posed:
It had been one of those days.

The number of things she had done today couldn't be counted on her fingers. She'd have to take off her shoes and add her toes. Maybe fourteen? Muggings, bank robberies, cats in trees, high speed police chase. And that was just the hero side. She'd also had morning classes and gotten a B on her Advanced Biology test. It was very frustrating for someone like her. She should've made an A. She was smart enough, after all. Her own science training had been higher than what she was learning in college here! Yet, here she was.

Where was here? The rooftop of a church, high up near the bell. Sitting on the railing edge with her booted feet dangling down as she cursed the science gods for failing her. Or for her failing herself.

Phobos has posed:
Alexander Aaron had never seen a cat in a tree. At least not to such a degree that it required extra help in some manner. But then it perhaps was more the people he had been surrounded with as he was growing up, most of them dog people most likely. Cats were more Egyptian Pantheon perhaps. Yet he was not unfamiliar with the animals. And he was not without sympathy.
For some miles away from Supergirl, with her hearing so focused perhaps she didn't hear the familiar voice at first. But it was on that very topic that eventually she might hear him say something like...

<< Well what about all these cats and pets and things? We can't just leave them here. >>

Though the context might not catch her attention, that voice would. The Greek guy she met? What was his name?
    Yeah, that one.

Supergirl has posed:
So many conversations. So many different people playing their roles in the world at large. She could shut them out but it was so much white noise right now, just buzzing around her.

Then something familiar made it not so much white noise and instead focused. A voice she knew. She tilted her head, turning that direction and catching the voice again.

Before she knew it, she was flying that direction, coming into a spot above where there looked to have been a fight of some sort. Though SHIELD seemed to have it well in hand. She came to a landing just outside the partitioned off area with the yellow tape, spotting the figure she knew.

"Alexander?" She thought that was the name.

Phobos has posed:
It was all still somewhat of abustle, with emergency vehicles around, those taped off secured areas, and the myriad of uniformed men and women walking the mile or so worth of the partitioned area. No news has been on the airwaves about the event, no media is in evidence, and the people that look like townsfolk are being treated like prisoners.
    All told a strange situation.
And there in what would pass for a dog park in the well designed township, was that youth she might vaguely remember. Only he's wearing the uniform of some of those people there. That all black and grey skintight suit with the harness for equipment and weapons though he had little in the way of that. In fact he seemed to be standing in that park with no small number of pet carriers, dogs on leashes, and a few bird cages to boot. Apparently the AIM operatives lover their animals.
But upon hearing his name, Alexander looked up. Not a SHIELD person, as to them all he was mostly, 'Aaron.' or 'Agent Aaron' or even, 'Hey you!' But little beyond that. Alexander is for normal people. Well, normal as can be.
    "Supergirl?"
Which has Kelso looking up and blinking as he follows Alexander's eyeline to indeed espy the semi-floating Kryptonian. "Supergirl? Oh wow, it is her."
    A beat.
    "And she knows you?"
Which has Alexander holding up a hand to his partner as if to stay any questions.

Supergirl has posed:
At the recognition, Supergirl allowed herself to land fully. Boots on the concrete, just outside the tape still. After all, she didn't want to interefere with a crime scene and it did say do-not-cross. She might be a vigilante but she tried to be on the right side of the law most of the time.

"I thought that was you. Haven't seen you since that episode with..." She paused, gaze flicking to Kelso and not sure if she should say too much. She understood the importance of secrets. "Your cousin. I hope everything has been okay."

She gave Kelso a smile, bright and friendly. "I'm sorry to interrupt. I'm guessing you're all working. I just thought I recognized Alexander and wanted to say hi."

Phobos has posed:
"Cousin?" Kelso asks as he still holds the leash of a pair of young German Shepards who are not pleased to be stuck there and so are hopping around off and on, pulling at the leash, straining at times, and trying their best to let the SHIELD agent know they want to go walkies. Even though in the short time she's been there, Supergirl has likely already seen those dogs pee on something no less than three times. Yet for now Kelso seems inured to it, instead just watching the superhero in their midst.
Though that has Alex looking over his shoulder and to the side, "There was his whole thing back in the city, Supergirl saved him and we ended up talking."
Which is a fair approximation if not exactly forthcoming with the facts. Yet that gives Alexander enough of an opening to talk with her. "Yeah, hey. It's alright, things are winding down here. Just, you know, someone has to pick up the loose ends after all the super people head off."

Supergirl has posed:
That does seem to happen a lot. The super heroes finish up and others clean up. Damage Control would deal with structural. Most of the people would be interviewed then sent back to their homes, unless they seemed to be part of the events that happened here. If their homes had been lost, Damage Control would put them up in the city until they got new ones. It was part of what they did.

She looked at the various animals in so many carriers. "Should I ask what's going on?" Likely Animal Control had already been contacted, if they weren't already on scene. Or they would be soon. Arrangements would have to be made to take in so many furry and feathered bodies. Maybe even some scaled. "Hi puppies!" She suddenly was squatted down, carefully with knees together so as not to flash in that skirted costume, reached out a hand toward the Shepards Kelso was holding.

Phobos has posed:
Pulling and yanking, the large young Shepards with their rambunctious attitude instantly of course realize that they /must/ go over and say hi which serves to cause Kelso to be yoinked forward though he does manage to keep control. There's much skittering of nails on cement, then digging up tufts of grass as they manage to cross the distance straining against their collars. And then it's licky face time unless they're stopped sufficiently, but otherwise they are now the full focus of the conversation. At least in their own opinions.
It's enough to make Alexander wait a bit as all the smooching is going on, though he folds his arms over his chest and smiles a little. "SHIELD business. I don't think I'm even supposed to know what's going on." Which isn't exactly a forthcoming answer.

Supergirl has posed:
Lots of giggling can be heard as Supergirl endures the kissy faces, falling over on her bum and ending up with the things on her lap both vying for her attention. She finally settles into rubbing their heads and ears while looking up at Kelso and Alexander.

"In other words you know more than you are saying but that's what you have to do, to keep out of trouble. I get it. Been in the same predicament a lot of times." She shrugs a little and grins. "The babies going to be taken care of? Get back with their owners or get new ones?" She has a soft heart for pets. After all, she has one of her own. Not that she shares that information with just anyone.

Phobos has posed:
A deep breath is taken as Alexander looks over at Kelso while the other SHIELD agent is busy keeping the pups calm, and they seem to settle in comfortably just sitting near Supergirl, though occasionally they'll lean or reach over to try and greet her again with doglicks.
"I don't know," The Olympian youth answers, turning his head to the side away from them, then back. "Don't know the extent of things so far. If everyone here was... whatever. Or if it was just some and some people didn't know. So think they're going to be boarded for a time."
Alexander shifts his weight to the other combat boot and gives a small shrug in answer to Kelso sort of shooting him a glance. Not exactly forthcoming, but Alex never has been to be fair.
"So you were busy just swinging by, snooping on me again?" He asks with a slight smile.

Supergirl has posed:
"I heard you. Talking about dogs and cats. From about six miles east of here." Supergirl says it like it's nothing. "Just heard the voice and thought I'd say hi. See if you were good. Since it's been a while."

She gave the pups a few final pets them pushed up to her feet, brushing off the back of her skirt with her hands to be sure any debris was removed.

"I know you are working and shouldn't keep you from it."

Phobos has posed:
"That's kind of you." Alexander says, that she said she'd say hi or that she won't keep them from their work, either one perhaps. Or both. Alexander steps back a pace, then looks over at Kelso, "We do have a lot to get through. But nice of you to be neighborly."
"Yeah, uh, hey." Kelso says with a smile, "Don't hesitate to stop by again. Any friend of Agent Aaron's is, you know." He holds up the loops of the leashes even as the dogs perk up thinking it was time to go for them as well. Disappointment hasn't quite dawned on them yet.
Then Kelso adds, "It was nice meeting you!"
