Cast of Characters: Prismatic, Cannonball, Rage

Prismatic has posed:
    CAMBRIDGE, MA, near Cambridge Commons

The last time Sam was in front of this house, Allegra was at his side, nervous about introducing him to her parents. Nervous about admitting that she was a mutant to her father. She had been unofficially disowned about a half hour later.

So, it's probably for the best that Alexis was not here at this point. The house is of the expensive, old colonial type. Its bones were there before the United States were, but it has been updated through the years. There is now a wall topped with a pointed iron fence surrounding the property, it was perfectly manicured and screamed Old Money, right to the carriage house lights on the front.

So, already we are faced with a quandry -- go to the front door and ask if the Caradenzas are in, or try the side door to see if the lady of the house would come and talk.

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie would knock on the front door, since he is pretty sure the help would answer, planning to ask to speak to Mrs. Caradenza when the staff answers the door. He looks over to Alexis and says "No matter what we keep our cool got it?"

Rage has posed:
Once she exits the vehicle, Andrea rises up to her full height and gives a flip of her dark hair back over her shoulder. She's growing it out for an upcoming concert with streaks of purple and blue along her bangs. Today, she is dressed to 'slaughter'. She is wearing a white tanktop with a snarling wolf on the front, as well as a snug pair of jeans with multiple slashes along the front of her thighs and knees. Her bag over her shoulder probably cost more than most houses in the neighborhood, and her boots are 'super cute'. Her makeup? On point.

As she stares at the front door, she casts a look towards Sam with a confident gaze, then starts for the front door with a power walk that matches the pace of a hungry animal. When you walk into a lion's den, you bring an apex predator with you for protection. "Let's get this over with." She calls over to the hayseed.

After Sam knocks on the door, she folds her arms over her chest, balancing her weight to one hip as she stares forward with narrowed eyes.

Prismatic has posed:
As predicted, a member of the house staff, wearing a suit and tie opens the door. The older, British gentleman looks to Andrea with a look of mild curiosity -- and then to Sam.

"Miss Jackson, how do you do. Mr. Guthrie. I do not beleive we were expecting you this afternoon. Or any afternoon, after Signor Caradenza banned you from the property. May I inquire as to the business you bring to us today?" he asks in a very even and professional tone.

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie is wearing black dress pants and purple dress shirt. He is standing straight, and looks to the man, offering a nod "I came by to see about speaking to Mrs. Caradenza, is she here and would you please ask her if she would speak to me? " He seems surprised the elderly man knows Andrea.

Rage has posed:
"Miss Jackson is my mother. You can call me Andrea." Just like Madonna. Or Prince. Or Britney ... Or Oprah. She has elevated her status to first name icon levels by now.

"And if she doesn't want to talk to him, then tell her that I demand an audience from her. It would be to her best interests." There is a hint of the wolf in her words. Confidence. A light rumble. She knows he's just the help. A sheep.

Prismatic has posed:
He was not a sheep. He was about to answer Sam, when Andrea interjects, and he raises an eyebrow.

"The Lady of the house is in, please come in, and I will alert her of your arrival." he states, opening the door for the duo.

The Foyer is grandly appointed. THere is a marble staircase, a sitting room, and a small hallway -- likely leading towards the kitchen.

There were no jackets to take, so he does not offer to take one.

There is a large portrait here, newly hung. It shows someone who must be Filipe, standing and looking dashing, with someone who looks like Alexis, though paler and with blue eyes, sitting in a demure pose. Between them there is a bush that is just barely not the same style as the portrait.

After a brief conversation with someone on a phone, the butler returns.

    "Please, follow me."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie frowns seeing the painting. The young man stiffens, and shakes his head a bit to this. He looks over to Andrea, and says "Andrea, I appreciate you coming and being supportive, but this is something I need to be doing the talking with." He tells the young woman as they walk.

Rage has posed:
"I'm going to make her wet herself." Andrea says simply with a 'sniff' in the air as she starts to follow after them, followed by a feral grin appearing upon her face. As her eyes trail upwards to the painting, she stares at it for a moment with a hint of curiousity before she continues on.

"But if she starts being a bitch to her, I'm not making any promises I'm going to be nice. I can only be diplomatic with bigots in the room for so long."

Prismatic has posed:
After a brief walk through a very traditional house, the butler pauses, and opens a set of double doors to a very light and airy drawing room. The walls are a gentle seafoam green, there was art on the walls, and big windows with the curtains draw back to let in plenty of natural light -- even with Boston looming nearby.

The wood here is light in stain, and books, albums and pictures line a few console tables, including one of a smiling little girl covered in mud, with a riding helmet askew. She's missing her two front teeth. There are plenty of places to sit, a few chairs of varying comfort in grays and soft pinks, and a pair of sofas with a muted floral patern to them.

And on a pink chair sits a woman who looks exactly to be an older, paler form of Alexis herself. She wears a smart gray skirt that goes to her knees, and a comfortable looking gray shrug over a green and white shirt. Compared to the formality of the entrance, she seems positively casual.

"Mr. Guthrie, Andrea, thank you for visiting." she says warmly as she rises to her feet.

"Oscar, would you see to it that tea is prepared for the guests?"

    "Right away, ma'am."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie looks at the pictures, and smiles at the one of the little girl. He grins returns a bit looking at it. "Thank you Mrs. Caradenza, for seeing us. Ah was hoping to talk to you about something very important." Sam will offer her his hand in greeting, watching to see her reaction to this.

Rage has posed:
As she takes a seat, Andrea folds one leg over the other, settling her hands on the top of her knee. She gives a glance around the room, then settles her eyes upon the dame of the home.

"Hello. Thank you for allowing us into your beautiful home. It's simply gorgeous."

Prismatic has posed:
"Of course, Samuel -- luckily, my husband is at his bridge game, no doubt blissfully unaware he has a daughter anymore. More the shame, really." Amelia replies to Sam, and grasps his hand in a delicate handshake.

To Andrea, she gives a bright smile.

"Thank you; some may feel it's old fashioned, to have a drawing room -- but it is a remnant of home, for me... and for Allegra." she smiles slightly.

"So, what is the important business that you needed to discuss so urgently that you risked my husband's wrath arriving here?" she asks, and then she startles a moment "Is... is Allegra all right? After the fight I was a little worried --"

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie offers a smile and pats her hand "Yes Ma'am she is fine, and actually is following a bit more in his Grandmother's steps, she is helping to run the school Ah work at." He has not told them the name, cause of the fathers name. "Ah, actually have two things I was hoping to ask you about. One is the reason I came, and the other occurred to me while here." He offers her in explanation, as he finds a seat himself.

Prismatic has posed:
"Oh, that's good to hear. I'm glad she's doing well after being away for so long." Amelia gives a smile. "She's chosen to surround herself with excellent people, the two of you included."

"So... which would you like to ask first?"

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie hmms and says "Well, Ah guess Ah will go with the biggie first. Ah know what your husband will say if I ask him, but after the way he treated Allegra, his opinion does not really matter to me. " He looks to her and straightens up a bit more and says "Ma'am, Ah would like to ask permission from you to marry your daughter." He offers her with a smile.

Prismatic has posed:
That's when the door opens, and Oscar arrives with tea. Two tea cups for Amelia and Andrea, and one glass of sweet iced tea for Sam.

There's also thin chocolate digestive wafers with the tea, and a couple of small sandwiches.

"Th-thank you, Oscar." Amelia states, and she takes a deep breath to steady herself, then pours a cup of tea for Andrea.

"... well, she is her own woman, but I know it would be important for her to keep up some traditions." she gives a wry smile, that twist of her lip upwards.

"You have my permission to court her. But she'll have to say yes."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie smiles and nods to this "Thank you, it means a lot to me and I will sure it will be to her. I plan on going to talk to her grandparents in Italy as well." He offers the information to her. "The other question, I was wondering, do you have a copy of the painting in the front room, before it was changed?"

Prismatic has posed:
"Unfortunately, no. That was hand-painted and altered after... well. After it came out that Allegra's a mutant. He spent thousands of dollars to have someone paint over her in a most ridiculous fashion." Amelia frowns a moment, and then with forced cheeriness, "However, I do have other portraits of her through the years, if you were looking for one to borrow. I could arrange some high-quality scans to be sent to you if you like?"

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie nods, and says "I was hoping to get something to give her a bit of a reminder of times when it was simpler and happy here for her." He admits "And if you ever want to see her just let me know and I will set it up, either bringing her here or you up to Bushwick."
