Detective Chimp has posed:
Detective Chimp has come out to McAnally's for a beer and one of the famous steak sandwiches. The Chimp spends more time at a more cross dimensional place, but he was in town and was hungry. He heads in walking around the pillars, getting a lay of who is here, as he makes his way tot he bar, puts in his order, and chews his unlit cigar.

Phantasm (Drago) has posed:
Well. Things have been somewhat quite for Nick. No one's taken a shot at him so, despite the information dug up by some friends. Nick's ...not quite back to his usual routine but he's getting out more.

And damn it all, he really wanted one of those steak sandwiches. It's just been so long without Karrin being in town to do the inviting over. So he's here. Seated at the bar with a sandwich before him, and a drink beside him.

The bar is quiet. Enough to where the entrance of another does draw his attention. It's good to make note of others nowadays. Upon seeing who it is, the slight cautious expression shifts to that of a small smile. He nods. "Hey again."

Detective Chimp has posed:
Detective Chimp nods over to the other man in greeting "Hey, how are you doing? Anything of interest been going on?" He figures with the people he has seen Nick with before there has to be something and keeping your ear out to whats going around is a good thing.

Phantasm (Drago) has posed:
"Oh geez..." Nick responds, giving a bit of a chuckle before he glances upwards in thought. "Got called in for some portal closing thing earlier this month. February was quiet around here. Spent a chunk of that month filming. January was that whole mutant cure bullshit going on annn-"

He pauses, glancing back down. "I think that's it since the last time we met. Things are a bit slower than it was last year around this time. And you?"

Detective Chimp has posed:
Detective Chimp nods, a bit and says "Had a few cases, been tracking some robots with magical components mixed with the tech, but seems I may have made a bit of a stink, they have went quite for the last couple months, been working with the guys at X-factor investigation on a missing kid, suspected of running away to Bushwick."

Phantasm (Drago) has posed:
Nick takes a sip of his beer as he listens along to what Detective Chimp says, giving a nod in indication that he's listening while setting the glass down. The last point of information does cause for him tilt his head curiously. "Missing kid? Got a picture of him?"

Detective Chimp has posed:
Detective Chimp nods, and will pull out his phone to show the other man the pic. "Seems the kid is a mutant, and some of the local young skuzz balls started picking on the nerdy kids threatening the with calling mutant hunters, friends of humanity and the like on them. All the other kids got the treats was normal, but this kid, well he actually is a mutant.

Phantasm (Drago) has posed:
At the description of what happened that led to the situation. Nick closes his eyes, shaking his head with a sigh. "Fucking hate bullies..." He mutters. Eyes open to study the picture before him once more. "So. I'm guessing the kid panicked and ran off? Need to find him and talk him down?"

Detective Chimp has posed:
Detective Chimp nods a bit to this and says "Looks like he ran towards a gang, which complicates matters. Have to not only talk him down, but convince him, going home aint going to be endangering his family or himself, and that his family wants him back, which they seem to sincerely do seem to want him home.

Phantasm (Drago) has posed:
"That does complicate things." Nick agrees, giving a bit of a frown. "Which gang?"

Detective Chimp has posed:
Detective Chimp gives the name of one of the Mutant Town gangs, they are about typical gang level behavior, bad, but not to hard core at least not publicly.

Phantasm (Drago) has posed:
Nick nods. A finger taps in thought. "...Ok. So still likely in the immediate area. What was he like before he ran off? Interests?"

Detective Chimp has posed:
Detective Chimp normal kid, bit nerdy, but had been watching things about mutant town on youtube, computer shows he may have been looking into the whole mutant community for a year or so.

Phantasm (Drago) has posed:
"Okay..." Nick frowns shaking his head. "Nerdy how? Did he have hobbies? A favorite animal or hangout?

Detective Chimp has posed:
Detective Chimp says, "Well his powers are water based, his appearance changes while in use, but when he is not, he still looks normal. Seems he was an anime fan, and collected old 80s stuff, like he was trying to relive ready player one."

Phantasm (Drago) has posed:
Ah THERE we go. Nick nods, "Alright. I think I got something to work with in that. I'll keep an eye out when I'm making my rounds. Got a number to call if I luck out and find him?"

Detective Chimp has posed:
Detective Chimp will give the man one of his cards "Give me a call, will either come in or send the guys from X-factor in, they have a bit more experience with the whole being mutants and dealing with their specific problems.

Phantasm (Drago) has posed:
"Alright." Nick reaches over to take the card, looking to it. "You likely know this but I make no guarantees on who or what I'll come across." He takes another look to the picture before he sighs, fishing a card for Shaw Studios out of his wallet and hands it over to Detective Chimp. "My number's written on the back. If you could forward that photo that'd be great. Or just to let me know if you guys found him already."
