Danger Room Session
Date of Scene: 27 March 2021
Location: Danger Room - X-Men Base
Synopsis: Scott gives the team and students a Danger Room session of hide and seek with Logan and a mystery bad guy from the hairy Canadian's past.
Cast of Characters: Cyclops, Cannonball, Faraday, Emma Frost, Nightingale, Antigravity, Rogue, Wolverine, Pixie, Ted Gammage

Cyclops has posed:
The Danger Room doors swish open and immediately the 'team' is met with a blast of cold, frigid air. It's a wild, Canadian Wilderness filled with snow, thick groves of trees and a bright, beautiful night sky with a brilliant white full moon. Once the doors close, the voice of Scott Summers can be heard over the intercom that rumbles around them like the voice of God.

"Good evening, X-Men and trainees, tonight I figured we could have a game of hide and seek. We are deep in the heart of Canada, a little spot where it is nearly impossible to get to by vehicle. Somewhere out there, Logan is currently hiding and most likely will be on the move. Your goal is simply this. Tag him physically, by any means necessary."

That sounds fairly simple, right?

"Teamwork will be important as you all know that Logan is a skilled hunter, tracker and combatant. This is also his home turf and I partnered with him to make sure this was specifically designed to his liking. Thus, he will have an advantage."

"You have three hours to find Logan and tag him. Succeeding in this mission will get the team a steak dinner tomorrow night on The Professor's dime. Failure? It means Logan gets all the steak he can eat, and beer. The test begins in five minutes."

Above them in the sky a green LED timer begins to count down, starting from 5:00.

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie looks about to see who all is here to work together "Ok, for anyone who does not know as Scott said this is Logan's natural habitat, this and seedy bars. He will be hunting us as much as we are hunting him. He looks out towards the area, "Be prepared for tricks, and ambushes."

Faraday has posed:
Indira, AKA Faraday, is making her way into the Danger Room with the gaggle of students joining the senior heroes. She's got her hair pulled back in a ponytail with a new set of sleek black gloves with a textured underside. She's also pulling a face the whole time as she pulls at the neckline of her black and yellow uniform.

"...I really want a pair of scissors right now." She mutters under her breath, at least until she's actually in the simulated environment and seems to decide better. She's soon wrapping her arms over her chest as she looks towards Sam as the New Mutant leader. "So this is the trade-off since you can't bring minors to a bar fight?" She cracks a quick grin before settling into a more serious face.

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma lets out a low noise in her throat as the doors open and the icy chill blows in... and that low groan turns into a grumble, and fades into a sigh. She didn't dress for Canadian winter, why -would- she? Still, there are benefits when dressing for style involves a fur-lined white cloak. Wait, maybe she -is- dressed for this, she thinks. After all, dressing in layers and all. She tugs the cloak tighter around otherwise scant attire and murmurs dryly, "Did anyone bring a particularly large box, a stick, some string and a six pack of that Canadian beer filling the fridge in the faculty lounge? I have a plan so cunning you could pin a tail on it and call it a fox."

Nightingale has posed:
It was no secret Logan was an incredibly difficult opponent. Many a Friday afternoon training with him by the lake since her early days at the school had given Shannon an appreciation for his skills. Not only that, she had witnessed him training in here at his level, and seen him in action out in the field.

This was not going to be easy.

She hoped and prayed that her 'bumblebees' would not make her too easy to track in the sky. But, just in case, she taps the image inducer on her left wrist, and her large, snowy white wings vanish from view, presenting yet a lower visual profile.

But she knew all too well that this was not all they would have to contend with. There were senses other than sight.

Shannon turns towards Sam and nods, keeping her voice low. "Copy that, Cannonball. You've got eyes in the sky right here." She does, however, wait for his order to take to the air.

Looking over at Indi, she smiles grimly. "That pretty well sums it up, yeah. And leaving out beer to distract him with won't do much good, either, miss Frost. He can't get drunk." Pause. "Most of the time. Unless the plan was something else...?"

Antigravity has posed:
Rosie McGowan was in a set of black-and-yellow 'bumblebees' that look too big on her, hazel eyes wide as she looks out at all that --

"Lord Ahbove lookit all that snow!" she whispers. "Inside! Ah-mazain'!" she states in a quiet sense of aw before she turns and looks up to Scott, and then to Sam.

The new girl breathes out quietly, and she gives a small shiver. "All right. How many eyes in the sky do we need? If nothin' else I can lift the heavy stuff?" she states, the little slip of a Southerner rubbing the back of her head. This is her first time out, and she looks to Indi -- and then at Shannon.

"What, you never seen a Loony Tune where they try ta kitch the rabbit with a carrot?"

Rogue has posed:
That blast of cold air as she enters the Danger Room has Rogue giving a grunt while looking around. As Cyclops begins to explain what their mission is, she shakes her head and side steps a couple steps to the left. She's wearing her half green half yellow body suit with yellow gloves and stares DAGGERS at her nefarious leader. "You want us to hunt down big, bad, and ugly in his own territory? Did you wake up one morning recently an' hit yer head on somethin' Cyclops?" She asks this before looking over to the others gathered and then smirks. "I can take to the skies 'long with Shannon 'ere if you want more eyes up top. But we best get 'ta figurin' out somethin' cause that five minutes is goin' ta go quick."

Wolverine has posed:
Out in the Canadian wasteland, Logan is dressed in clothing suited for the weather and hiding. white coat with a hood, the pattern has gray digital boxes to fade his silhoutte into the bank of snow drifts. Thick boots with a pair of wood framed, wire mesh, snow shoes defused his tracks when he moved, at the expensie of speed.

He'd set up a blind with a canopy cover and a series of tunnels beneath the snow. Crouched down in one of them with a beer and a hand held black and white television from the early 80s that lets him watch the end of the Canadiens match. "Come on ya fucking shit..." Growling quietly beneath his breath, glancing at his watch to see how long the team has to get ready.

Pixie has posed:
Megan Gwynn hastily tucks her phone away as she hurries in to join the others. She is quite glad she wore her gold and blue uniform which covers more than her black mini dress. "Brrrf it sure is cold in here!" she nods to Cyclops. "Hide and seek huh? Sounds fun! Who's in charge this time?" obviously not Cyke as he's testing them all..

Pixie spreads her wings, also awaiting orders but doesn't take to the sky until told so.

Cyclops has posed:
3 .. 2 ... 1 .. GO! Five minutes are up.

A loud roar can be heard in the background, echoing through the dark sky and over the miles of white canopy. A couple of the trees tremble in it's wake, followed by a 'thump' that makes the ground tremble.

"I woke up this morning and realized it was April Fool's Day. Logan isn't the only threat out there. Good luck, team."

The voice on the intercom cuts out, leaving them on their own in the dark. For now, it remains quiet, save for the melody of insects.

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie looks to the group, and says "I want you working in pairs. Nightingale, and Rogue, Emma and Rosie, Indira. Pixie and Faraday. If you see what ever else is out there call it out. I am going to do a circuit see if I can get the tree shakers attention." He makes sure to put a flyer on each team "Rogue and Nightingale, you start as the main eyes in the sky. Rosie, follow Emma's lead, Emma, see if you can get us a direction. Pixie, Faraday. start on the eastern side. Everyone stay close to your partner."

Faraday has posed:
"Oh, he brought out Godzilla. Awesome." Indira blandly drawls as she adjusts the cuff of her right glove. What's scarier? Hunting Wolverine in the woods, or Cyclops attempting to pull an April Fool's prank? The Indian-American girl looks over towards Rosie with a bob of her head and an offered fist bump. "You got this."

Then with a grin, she's off towards Megan and getting down to business. "You take high and I'll take low, then?" Because that seems reasonable and in line with Sam's idea. Eastward she starts to go with a quick glance around to calibrate her direction and then keeps studying her surrounding as she goes. Not that ground tracking is anything she's specialized in, at all. Footprints? Seems a reasonable thing to start looking for.

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma lifts one eyebrow at the echoing roar. The other joins it at the echoing thump. "Well. That's -probably- not an adorably oversized Easter bunny."

She has to stifle an approving grin as Sam works up a plan, nodding her head, stepping over to Rosie, as she narrows her eyes, focusing, reaching out to try and sense Logan.

Of course, capturing Logan's brainwaves always seems like trying to catch a teflon football covered in coconut oil. More trouble than most, and far too stressful to be taken up as a hobby. "If anyone runs into trouble, do try to make a fuss... at least think 'Oh no' as loudly as you can if nothing else. I doubt Logan's going to take it easy, it's not like he was told he's taking part in a Fuzzy Funtime Room scenario..." She points at Rosie and offers a downright playful smile, "So we'll just have to prove we're -more- dangerous, hm?"

Nightingale has posed:
Shannon nods once in response to Sam, and smiles grimly. "You've got it. Rogue, shall we?" With that--and a few muttered imprecations regarding Scott's heritage, bathing habits, and various other preferences, due to his choice of April Fool's pranks, she spreads her hidden wings and takes to the air, getting well above the tree line as quickly as possible. When she's got some altitude, she hovers there in the sky, waiting for Rogue.

"I'm gonna follow your lead on this one, Rogue. Got any ideas?"

Antigravity has posed:
Rosie is paired off with a teacher. The small blonde teen just sort of blinks at the fact that she was paired off with Emma -- and then there's a roar, and a thump!

"... dunno about Godzilla... a wendigo maybe? Polar bear?" she stammers a moment, and then she looks over to Emma. She tries to keep herself sort of bravado laden, the younger southern giving a wry smile.

"Considerin' you've got the better deal of this, Ah reckon you are pleanty dangerous, ma'am." she replies to Emma.

Rogue has posed:
Rogue glances to Sam and then nods her head before she looks to Shannon - er Nightingale - and gives a nod of her head. Not a moment after the woman spreads those hidden wings and takes to the skies does Rogue shift to take to the air herself. "Well we got people headin' east already... and I think people takin' up the middle... and knowin' Logan he's likely just out there settled all cozy like...until he's not." She sucks on her teeth a moment and then motions. "Let's go a bit adjacent to the other team...keep our eyes peeled for anythin' out of the ordinary or what may look off." Not that the roar didn't unsettle her, but she's surely heard worse.

Wolverine has posed:
Logan is somewhere to the far north. The direction, it turns out, that roar had come from, but he's wearing a tinfoil hat. So, neener on Emma. But really, his mind is all over the place. Clearly he's watching hockey, so it appears his taking this activity seriously-... that or he doesn't think they're a threat.

At all.

The roar, likewise, catches his attention, but he doesn't seem as concerned about it as the others. Rather than rising to the roaring challenge, he sucks a drink of his beer and settles into his blind. Comfortable that he'll definitely smell anyone before they become a threat to his hiding place or his hockey game.

Ted Gammage has posed:
Having been standing back and listening quietly, Ted waits till the "go" is given before he too moves up to the rest of the team (Sam's). The big teen, too, is in his standard training uniform. "Ah swear if ah clown jumps out ah'm gonna punch it," he notes with a wry grin. "Ah will warn, there's not much chance in me bein' stealthy. Prolly should figure out who can do what b'fore dashin' off into the woods right?" He rubs his head, "If y'need trees knocked down, ah'm yer guy."

Pixie has posed:
Megan Gwynn nods to Sam, joining Indira. "Roger that. I'll cover east sectors, eyes in the sky, but close enough to stay in contact.." she nods to Indie as she takes to the skies, scanning their assigned sector, frowning at all the snow. Are there any hidden caverns or forests to mask him? Any tracks in the snow?

Cyclops has posed:
As the group starts to splinter off into groups of two, the fliers will have the advantage of height and scanning over the miles of terrain. Unfortunately for them, most of it is thick trees. A few miles out there is a break in the tree growth, a large crystalline pond set in the middle in the shape of a crescent moon. Large mountains surround the rest with multiple caverns along the bottom ridges. The fliers can spot along the western side of the forest, a large rustling of trees as if something heavy was coming through it at a blistering pace.

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie smiles a bit and says "Your not really on the stealth team Ted." He moves behind Ted, and says "Going to grab you under the arms, and if we see Logan or the extra, will drop you on them." He offers, and will move to lift Ted up as the roar of the blast field kicks in and the two are a flight, making a racket, and seeking what ever is to be found. Sam will head towards what ever is coming through the woods. He calls over coms, and telepathy is Emma is keeping it up. "Will see if Ted and I can keep, big and roary busy while you guys search.

Faraday has posed:
On foot, Indira doesn't have the advantage of visibility. She has some benefit in her athletic state to keep some mobility despite the snow and cold, but two normal legs can still only cover so much ground even as she tries to take it at a steady jogged pace. She follows any guidance from Pixie above her as to the direction to take, and checks in with her periodically as to her status and which way to turn. So far she's not seeming to have much luck over to the east, but she's trying her level best to hunt for signs as she goes.

Nightingale has posed:
As Shannon scans the ground in the western sector, her eyes catch the rustling in the trees. And it wasn't just a few branches here and there, either. Oh, no. "Rogue, you seeing that? Looks like we've got ourselves a big 'ol bogey in the weeds, and he's booking it. Got a bead on what direction he's heading?"

This could either be good, or it could go south -really- fast.

But, at least it looked like she wasn't the only one spotting the mystery monster. "Guys, is that thing alone down there, or does it have friends?"

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma frowns, rubbing her forehead and mumbling, "Well, I think he's watching... lacrosse? He's somewhere. God, this is just... I mean, logically he's probably going to be near the roaring thing. It's not much of a test if he's not around! North-ish... maybe it's a giant Santa."

She tugs her cloak a little tighter and grins crookedly, "Oh no, I assure you my fearsome reputation is -entirely- from handing out detention and chores. My true superpower is the stamp in my office."

She concentrates again, voice ringing out mentally to the team, <<I'm not detecting anything except the monster and... Logan's -somewhere- North of us, and well... I don't think we need to mentally track the walking earthquake.>>

Antigravity has posed:
The younger blonde lifts off the ground to minimize her noise, and follows behind Emma.

"Ma'am, ain't about to call you a liar, but that is one heck of a fib. Elsewise Mr. Summers would /not/ have a buncha dangerous folks together for a game a hide-and-seek." she replies amicably to Emma.

    ... "Lord, a giant Santa... that's terrifyin'."

she sweeps forward, taking point in front of Emma.

Rogue has posed:
There's a shift as Rogue joins Shannon, just a bit off from where the woman is hovering. "I see it...of course there's other things in the woods..." She tries to fly a bit further up and towards the movement. "I...think it's coming towards us?" She tilts her head and then looks back to the moving trees. "I can try to get closer, see if I can spot anythin', but I don't wanna go too far from you cause they asked us not to separate too much.." She says this and then tilts her head. "Hmm, Wolf-Boy is somewhere North, and we got somethin' comin' at us from the west... What say we see if they meet in the middle somewhere?"

Wolverine has posed:
"Alright..." Logan groans, rubbing his knees as he stands up from his lounging seat beneath the blind. "Guess I gotta do something." Murmur, crawling out into the snow with both hands up cupping his mouth to warm them. A single shiver and he glances in the direction of the rumbling footfalls that belong to the creature designed to be another physical foil to the game of hide and seek.

Arms back stretching, he takes off at a run towards the crunching rumbling footfalls further north of him. Using the coverage of trees above him to keep him unseen from the air and darting in and out behind them as he moves. Making it difficult to get a bead on him from the ground.

Pixie has posed:
Megan Gwynn peers around and frowns. <<Faraday, can you check the forests beneath me? It's hard to see from up here..I see lots of trees, a crescent shaped lake in the center..Try to head northwest towards the lake, probably get a better vantage point from there. .>>

She blinks at Emma, <<He's watching Lacrosse? Does that mean he's in a cabin with a tv!?>> it's..Something to go on.

Ted Gammage has posed:
"Hope y'can hold me up, m'kinda heavy," Ted notes. "Good call on not bein' on th' stealth team," he grins a bit. He does hold out his arms, "Ah'll try not to flail around and have y'drop me. Might hurt some of th'landscape"

Cyclops has posed:
The trees continue to rumble and shake as the sounds of loud thumps can be heard echoing beneath the feet. Something is coming for them /fast/ and accelerating the more ground that it covers. Those up in the air who are reporting can see flashes of something 'white' moving swiftly. Out into the clearing stumbles a large, ten foot creature with long curved black claws and fangs extending out of a wolfish looking muzzle. Blood is splattered along it's furred chest as it stands on bipedal legs.

Lifting it's head upwards, he bellows out a loud, hungry roar as he throws it's arms outwards, then starts tunnel vision for the first person it sees on the ground, which is Emma. A pretty blonde in white fur stands out. Perhaps she reminds him of a potential mate. Either way, it's coming for her like a bullet.

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie looks to Ted, and says "Going to launch you at it, hit it as hard as you can, and then get out of it's reach as I come around for the second shot." He hits it into full speed aiming Ted at the beast like a cannonball from a cannonball? He then turns around and comes back around, preparing to hit the creature from behind while it is concentrating on Ted.

Faraday has posed:
<< Northwest. Roger, Pixie. >> Comes Faraday's voice over the radio as she shifts her turn towards the northwest and picks up her pace, feeling the dual crackling of adrenaline and electricity flowing through muscles. << I'll meet you all closer to the lake. >>

It doesn't take her as long as she expected, like the ground was falling away from her feet faster than it should even when she's not moving any faster than she would. As she goes, she keeps her eyes open for any further signs, but her main focus is regrouping. She's breaking the thicker treeline shortly for the clearer space near the lake. By the time she gets there, the werewolf is just entering the field in the opposing side of the lake.

Her hands curl into fists that crackle with silver-violet lightning as she breaks into a run to back up the team in case if any others come out. << I'm here! If something needs lit up, just point! >>

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma calls out to the team in general, <Do be careful, dears. Whatever's stomping around is angry. And hungry. I believe 'hangry' is the term du jour? No getting eaten. Our insurance premiums would -surely- go up.>

She points for Rosie's benefit, towards the monster and calls out, "Well, whatever it is is this way! Time to do what X-Men do best! ...Run towards flying debris and chaos in bright yellow and blue." She pauses for a long moment, "Well, that and be bothered by protesting bigots, but snowstorms usually stop -that- particular bother!"

Antigravity has posed:
Rosie was floating in front of Emma, but she pauses a moment, aghast at the creature to the north.

And she falls back just a touch, murmurs a quiet plea to whoever's on high, and then she flies towards a group of rocks, and with a touch, she lands, and three decent sized boulders float up in her grasp, her eyes narrowing at Wendigo as she takes aim!

Nightingale has posed:
<<I doubt he'd be -that- obvious, Pixie. We're talking about Logan here. The man's used to hunting and making do in this territory. Plus, I doubt he's gonna stay still for long... oh, sh..iitake mushrooms....>>

Shannon frowned as she spotted the monstrous Abominable Snowman-like creature come crashing out of the woods--and heading right for miss Frost! Not good! <<We think alike, Rogue. That oughta get it away from miss Frost as well.>> There is a twinge of nerves as she sees Ted hurled into the wendigo like a cannonball from a Cannonball, but she also knew he was one tough cookie. Still, she held her breath till she saw he was alright.

<<Miss Frost, any shot of messing with that thing's mind and getting it to think there's food somewhere to the north?>>

Rogue has posed:
Rogue gives a nod to Shannon and then looks as the wendigo emerges and then she spies the cannonball that is Ted before she hums. "I'm sure if we go to the wendigo we'll find Logan as well..." She says this and then motions before she moves to begin diving towards the ground - which won't take long to get to. The danger room is really as big as it is small, so perception can always seem a little off. Never the less, she stops a good 10 to 20 feet from the ground to try and get a better sense of what all is going on before she just dives into anything and mucks a plan up.

Wolverine has posed:
"Wendigo... that's nice.." Logan is hidden in the trees surrounding the clearing, staring at the massive clawed man he's tangled with on more than one occation. This is the kind of vicious that Wolverine was designed to combat. It's not that he's unsure whether the kids can handle the threat, so much as... well... even in the framework of the Danger Room, he doesn't want them to get hurt.

"Come on, kids. You can do this." He murmurs quietly, a defused mirage in white against a white backdrop of snow covered trees. Watching from his position whomever engages with the beast. Ready to swoop in to help them, game be damned, if things go pear shaped.

Pixie has posed:
Megan Gwynn lands in the clearing to join Faraday and glances around, listening in on her comm. "Well darnit, sounds like the Wendigo is the most immediate threat. We should help deal with that first. I spotted it coming in from the west. Cmon!"

She steps closer to Faraday, then utters the magic words that will port them closer to the wendigo and the others. With any luck they'll find Logan nearby too.

Cyclops has posed:
As the Wendigo tunnel visions on Emma, the large beast of a mythical creature lowers himself down and barrels towards her. Overhead, Cannonball and 'Brick' can be seen rumbling loudly through his blastfield. As they reach top speed, Sam lets go of Ted at an angle so that he can fall forward like a bullet. As he hits the monster mid-stride, he throws a heavy punch into the skull of the monster, sending him careening backwards through the snow. As he stumbles to his feet, Sam rockets from behind to slam a fast into his skull, this time sending him forward face first into the snow with a sickening crack.

Ted rolls to his feet, dusting off his uniform as he makes his way forward to the downed creature. He's not finished getting his licks in.

The creature gives a low, rattling noise in it's throat as it slowly starts to push it's way up to it's feet. One side of his head is dented in and blood is pouring out of it's broken snout. He looks confused and angered as he stumbles forward a few paces.

Faraday has posed:
As she gets closer, Indira can see that it's no werewolf. It's just an angry, animalistic, hairy Canadian. How many of them are there?!

Indira is through Megan's portal in a second and comes out the other side at a leaping run and a quick said, "Thanks for the lift, Pixs!" She hits the ground about fifty feet out from the fight, digging her feet into the ground as she goes to plow through snow and get close to the actual turf.

"FIRE IN THE HOLE!" She bellows out her warning as winds back with her right fist and then throws out an open handed gesture that sends a single, brilliant, almost metallic-seeming lightning bolt scorching through the air towards Wendigo. The cold air hisses in a high-pitched wail like an injured lightsaber at being displaced by the heat of the bolt. The beast may not be hurt much if he can take a fist at the speed of a jetplane, but all she needs to do is stall it so the others can be ready to strike when the air clears.

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma's eyes widen as the beast focuses on her. She should probably find it flattering, beauty and the beast and all. But... well, this isn't a Disney movie. He's not even singing. Entirely unacceptable.

Fortunately the students are performing admirably, and she feels a brief moment of sympathy as Wendigo is battered and knocked down. But as he begins to recover, she focuses enough to shield herself with a force field, not taking any offensive action as she calls out, "Well done students! But it appears he's in a less than cooperative mood! Let's see if you can render the situation safe before one of the people responsible for ensuring your grades are accurate winds up concussed! I grade on a -terribly- harsh curve when I'm concussed!"

Nightingale has posed:
With little time to think of a possible solution, Shannon taps her image inducer once again, allowing her wings to shimmer into view. If the wendigo was confused, maybe it would be a little easier to herd. Ted's and Sam's dual aerial attack had done a number on it, more than she could do with her flying drop-kick.

<<Faraday, one more good bolt and that may take the sucker down. Rogue, think you and I can keep that thing distracted long enough for Faraday, Ted, and Cannonball to do their thing again?>> For her part, she flies just out of reach of the wendigo and hovers there, letting it get a good look at her--but not getting close enough for it to nail her.

Antigravity has posed:
The younger Rosie has the rocks floating, and she knew it was about the extent of her abilitites.

And with a practiced throw, she changes the gravity on the rocks to be particularly drawn to Wendigo's legs, and the three boulders get launched over the snow to trip up the enemy as she looks about for another to raise up to shield Emma.

... hey, she wants a good grade in Emma's class.

Rogue has posed:
While the students begin to lash out at the wendigo, Rogue scans the area near the creature, tilting her head one way and then the other. She gives a smirk after a moment and looks back to Shannon. "I think you can handle it, looks like it's about half done for to me..." After that, she actually moves to dive down to the ground, but not towards the creature. There's a reason for this, because she knows that Logan'd be nearby where that wendigo is, whether the creature is real or not. So she lands just aside Logan since she spotted him through the trees and then actually sets a VERY GLOVED HAND onto his shoulder. "So, how long you think I shoul' let the kids bash at this thing before telling them where you are so they can all have their steaks and eat them too?"

Wolverine has posed:
Logan glances over at Rogue landing beside him with a smirk. He doesn't say anything, but turns back to the fight with Wendigo, "Whenever you want. I was gonna let them find me anyhow. I got enough deer meat and beer at my cabin to last me all the way to the 4th of July." He's still mostly hidden, except now Rogue is totally cramping his hide game.

Pixie has posed:
Megan Gwynn steps back as the Wendigo comes into view, letting the heavy hitters handle it. But at Emma's wishes, she turns to her and nods, resting a hand on her shoulder. "Right, hang on..Think you can psychically guide me to him..? Sihal Novarum Chinoth!"

A pink column of light surrounds the two of them, teleporting herself and Emma a safe distance away, and near to where Rogue and Logan are. "Alright then, how's about we finish this then, while the others are playing with the abominable snowman?"

Cyclops has posed:
As the lightning arcs outwards to strike Wendigo in the chest, his fur catches fire and sizzles as he howls loudly in pain. He rocks to one side, just to get slammed by a large rock lobbed over by Rosie. By now, the creature is all about down and out. As he stumbles upwards to one leg, he splits his bloody muzzzle at them with a loud roar of anger, looking as if he was about to dash back into the fray.

Though, the moment Rogue touches Logan on the shoulder, a loud alarm sounds and the lights come on. The world melts away to that of a cold, steel, spherical room with the command center up above with Scott peering through the windows.

"Good job, team. Sloppy, but good job. Cannonball, you did great at taking leadership and creating a strategy. We should talk later in private and go over the mission together."

As the doors swish open to let them exit, he can be heard saying,

"Steaks for everyone tomorrow night. Put on nice clothes. You all earned it." There's a bit of amusement in his voice.

"Logan, Jean and I will see you tonight for dinner and beer. Thank you again for humoring me tonight."
