Date of Scene: 02 April 2021
Location: Operations, The Triskelion
Synopsis: Alex and Skye catch up a little about the mission.
Cast of Characters: Phobos, Quake

Phobos has posed:
There is a routine to be done after each mission run by SHIELD. It's an aftermath that has to be dealt with to make sure all of the information is conveyed and for those not at the operation who must refer to the file, they at the least get a good impression of what passed. Some of this is taking up the data chips for the many cameras that were used by the field teams. Some of this is sweeping the data from the site's computers. But a good amount of this is also gained by debriefing the operatives that were there.
So after the mission in the Czech Republic, all of the SHIELD agents that had been in action had some special time spent with two other agents who asked the many and varied questions needed to get a clear picture. When things go south during a mission this can take a loooong time. But when the mission goes well, sometimes it's fairly fast.
For Alexander Aaron, after his first Tactical Response Team operation his debrief went fairly quick. Which would explain why he's outside of the operations area and standing in the office area that serves as the 'bull pen' for his squad. A medium sized room with eight cubicles inside of it and data terminals for everyone. It was there that he was digging around in his desk, getting his gear together and likely getting set to head out for the day. He'd changed into civvies, likely already had his shower, and seemed eager to get going.

Quake has posed:
For Skye there was a whole other review to be done. This was her *first* time using her powers overtly. There had been a time or two beside where she had used them in a pinch, and never in a whole mission. She had spent time with Fury, and the scientist's checking her out.

Luckily she was just sprained for the most part. Skye was given special meds, a promise that she wouldn't use them that why for a week, and she was on her way.

In other words she'd passed with flying colours and could guarantee more of the same in the future.

Phobos has posed:
It was perhaps when she was emerging from being cleared for that use of powers and from providing what information she could that Alexander espied her. Just a bit down the hall and to the side in one of the cross ways that had large windows giving a view to the air strip beyond the SHIELD HQ. It was enough of a coincidence that Alexander was close enough for them to catch each other's eyes.
"Hey, Agent Johnson." Agent Aaron's voice carried down the hall as he gave a wave, standing there at that cross hallway. He was dressed in blue jeans and a black t-shirt, and over one shoulder was his leather pack with grey canvas, one hand tucked up under the strap.
"That was good work out there during the insertion." A glance is given to some of the other agents that are walking up and down the hallway, some of them shooting a glance at the field operatives.

Quake has posed:
Skye stopped walking to let him catch up with her. "Oh?" She grins a crooked grin. "I had fun with the children's songs, and putting the drones down for maintenance." She wasn't certain what part of the mission he has talking about, and didn't need to shout it out she was a powered being (especially if he did not catch it!).

Okay, she still wasn't quite used talking about it like she was asking you what the weather outside was.

"Heading home?" She nodded that they should walk together. "What was your job?"

Phobos has posed:
"I was in the first tactical team," And he's completely fine with not broadcasting what her part was in the combat, just as well since he doesn't seem inclined to draw much attention to his own and the errant random katana making its appearance in the hands of the Black Widow.
"Was different than I was expecting. Not bad, just..." His pale hazel eyes distant a little as if looking past her, "Different." He smiles a little with a lop-sided half-shrug then gives a nod about her first question.
"And yeah, been staying at one of my father's places of late. Sorta..." He looks to the side, then back. "Shorter drive, figured I'd see how things sort out with commuting and all before I get rid of my apartment in town."

Quake has posed:
She turns her head to him, and shrugs. "Often the people we are fighting believe we are the bad guys, to the point that the lackeys will fight to the end, while the upper echelons will get out of town so to speak. Usually I'm at the base, or on the plane."

Skye lowers her voice. "That's not what you meant though."

She nodded with regards to the commute though. "I still have a place here, but I really prefer my Greenwich home. All the tech was built into it. I can actually do my SHIELD work from home. But, shh, nobody really is aware." She winks.

Phobos has posed:
Alexander's features brighten as he says in response to her declaration, "Yeah, Greenwich, 312 Bower, just next to that... you know, the small umm package store on the corner?" Small world all things considered. But he slips his hands into his pockets as he falls into step beside her.
His eyebrows raise, "It was interesting fighting alongside Agent Barton and Agent Romanoff." His eyebrows lift a little, then he continues to stroll along. "You could kinda tell they worked together rather often."
He adjusts the hang of his backpack as he walks and tilts his head slightly, "They each made up for the other's weaknesses. Kinda."

Quake has posed:
Skye nods. "They're very good, aren't they? Not that I've really been capable of seeing them." Usually they went in, and she sat on the sidelines working her own little magic.

She tries to think where he meant. "Really? The neighborhood really is going to the dogs!" She laughed. "They really don't like Clint's archery range out back." Thank god they didn't have any clue about the one inside as well!

As they walked, she kept her face looking forwards. "What I told you was the truth about my parents. Mostly. My father was jacked up with lots of things that I really don't know anything about, except I made him crazy and hella strong. He wanted me back. My mother I haven't found her yet, but she keeps leaving little clues, which by the time we have sorted it out, she's gone again. The only thing I know is she is not human."

Phobos has posed:
"I never knew my mother," Alexander tells her after she offers insight into her parents, his eyes drifting back to the front, "She passed when I was born, but my dad seemed to care for her." Which as he pauses there might be a rare thing for the man who raised him.
He chews thoughtfully on the inside of his cheek and tilts his head to the side. A few thoughts flit through his mind and he murmurs, "I always wondered how it was with him. Heck how it must be with anyone who has such a... disparate connection in life. Such a difference in lived experience? He's been alive for..."
He stops short and glances down the hall then back to her, "Well for a long time. And my mother was... thirty something. From what I've been able to find out. How do you imagine such a thing works between two people like that?"

Quake has posed:
"I never knew either of my parents. I grew up in an orphanage." Thanks to SHIELD. "I ran away when I was younger and lived on the streets. Finally I found the organization where I was found by SHIELD. They gave me the choices, work for them, or go to prison." Skye had thought of this for a number of years now. "I imagine they worked things out. They made you."

Phobos has posed:
"Yeah, I suppose." Alexander says, even as he draws up short a little and pauses at another cross-section of the hallway. "I just wonder if..." He lifts a hand to rub at the back of his neck, then shakes his head. "Heck, I don't know. Idle thoughts." He gives a smile as he steps back.
"Anyways, catch you at the Friday briefing, Agent Johnson."
That said he backs up a step then takes that turn off towards the side hallway, starting to make his way to one of the many routes that lead to the parking lot for his next few days off. Over his shoulder he calls out, "Take care."
