A meeting of the big three
Date of Scene: 05 April 2021
Location: Justice Hall, Watchtower
Synopsis: Batman speaks with Superman and Diana about a potential new recruit. He also shows some frustration in regards to ninjas.
Cast of Characters: Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman

Batman has posed:
The doors to Justice Hall swish open as Batman strides through them and aims for his seat. With a flick of his cape to the side as he settles, he leans forward and taps along the glass table to bring up the holovids and start to examine current events from Earth at a rapid pace. His eyes narrow from behind his mask as he leans forward in study.

He had sent out a request to Clark and Diana to meet him up here at their leisure. No priority. He knows that they are most likely handling bigger and greater threats to the world than what he normally handles in Gotham. Psychotic clowns aren't on the same level as fire breathing monsters as tall as buildings.

Superman has posed:
Speaking of giant monsters....

Superman had just finished dealing with a problem in Argentina. Apparently a giant Piranha was terrorizing the populace, and, well, now that giant Piranha is probably not going to come back for more. Local authorities have it under control and are presently looking for a fresh environment where it is not going to eat people. Scientists ascertain that it was likely a result of a sudden mutation.

But Superman get's Bruce's message. "Superman here." he waits for the message to play out.

"Alright, on my way."

and with a 'jumping' motion, Superman takes to the sky at breakneck pace, eventually shattering the sound barrier once he was high enough to not break anybody's ears from the act, and flies straight out of the atmosphere. It doesn't take him long to make it to the Watchtower, who identifies him and most likely sends an alert to Batman that the Man of Steel had arrived.

He walks through the doors of the Justice Hall, where the seats of the Big Three are located, and as he approaches, he smiles at Batman. "Batman, good to see you." he tends to refer to Bruce by his codename when on official business. Granted, if it's just him, Diana, and Bruce then they may fall into informality. It's a respect thing.

Wonder Woman has posed:
With the request received, Diana makes her way to Watchtower. She doesn't take the time to change before heading there, seeing no need for doing so, and since she was about to do some weapon training with her Amazonian sisters, she's in her Wonder Woman garb and with both a sword and shield on her person. There have been a couple of things happening around her neck of the woods, but nothing too large for her to deal with. And there have been a few interesting people to meet along the way, as well.

It's a few moments after Superman's arrival before the doors slide open again and Diana steps through them. There's a glance to each of the men in turn, and she inclines her head slightly. "Gentlemen," she says, a smile quirking at the corners of her lips.

Batman has posed:
Glancing over towards the pair as they enter, Batman rises up from the table and gives them each a firm nod of his head. "Superman. Diana." He rarely if ever calls her Wonder Woman, even in the field. "Thank you both for coming. I hope your days have not been too eventful." He folds his arms across his chest, right across the bat insgnia. "I don't have anything too pressing. I have been thinking about the roster for awhile and what we may be critically missing currently. While we have some of the strongest and most capable super heroes on our team, what we do not have is a top notch analyst."

As he glances slightly back and forth between the pair, he leans down to tap the glass to pull up a holographic image of Oracle, otherwise known as Batgirl. "This is Batgirl. She has been in my ear for the last few years, helping me protect Gotham. She is the center of all information and a literal genius when it comes to rapid technology. I would like to bring her up to the Watchtower and allow her to become accustomed to our technology and let her run point on a few missions."

Superman has posed:
Superman takes his seat at the table, flourishing his cape before he did so in order to not be sitting completely on it or tug it the wrong way. "Not moreso than normal." He offers to Batman with a small smile. To Diana, his smile is softer, noticeably warmer. "Diana." He offers her a nod of the head, before he looks at Batman again. "What's the situation?" He questions, before the 'situation' seems to be a membership protocol!

Membership is decided by vote on the Justice League. Unsurprisingly democratic and fair.

He looks at the holographic imagery of Batgirl, listening carefully as Batman explains the situation. He has Superboy and Supergirl protecting Metropolis while he's away, so he's not listening for cries of help. "I wouldn't mind it." Superman informs of him. "Though, I believe you are our best intelligence operative, Batman." Superman, to this day, believes that Batman is the most dangerous human being alive. "So I trust you're judgment. If she's been in the field with you especially, then that alone speaks highly of her effectiveness. Is there anything we should keep a close look out for? Any enemies that would love to come knocking on her door, prove a threat to the League?" it's not a trust issue, it's a curiosity.

Wonder Woman has posed:
The Amazonian has never minded the fact that Batman only rarely calls her Wonder Woman. It's no secret, either way, that she is both personas. "Of course," she says, inclining her head slightly towards him, a smile easily returning to her features. "Things have not been overly eventful. A couple of likely isolated incidents, since I returned from Themyscira," she comments, lifting one of her shoulders in a faint shrug. One of her eyebrows quirks up slightly at the mention of the roster, a flicker of interest showing in her blue eyes.

There's a glance given towards Superman, a moment of a warmer smile for him, before her attention turns to the holographic image that Batman brings up on the display. There's a moment during which she's quiet, considering the information, and then her attention turns to Bruce. "If she has been in your ear, as it were, for that long then it would be safe to presume that she has your trust. And no doubt a significant measure of it," Diana says, a thoughtful note to her voice. "Your judgement has a sound basis to it. As has been pointed out, her effectiveness is proven by the fact that you continue to work with her. I have no arguement against it," Diana says, inclining her head slightly towards Batman.

Batman has posed:
"She does have my trust. She knows my identity. She has earned it. I have personally trained her, much like I have Nightwing and Red Robin. She is highly skilled in hand to hand combat and tactical analysis. She is a wonderful detective." Batman says as he taps along the glass to pull up her 'resume' in the form of highlight videos, biometrics and a broken down skill-set that he has created for her. "Barbara Gordon, daughter of Commissioner Gordon in Gotham. She grew up in the cop life, grew up in the streets. Top of her class along with an olympic level background in athletics. She is a rare breed."

His arms fold once more over his chest, his voice still holding that rumbling growl that he speaks with. "And she has never let life corrupt her. She has a clear head, strong values and while yes I would most likely agree with you." He says to Superman in regards to his own status. "When I am out in the field with you, we need someone to help drive and deliver us information. If you saw her in action when it comes to her own Watchtower, you would be impressed. She is also one of the world's most notorious computer hackers." His lips twitch.

"Even Shield is frustrated by her." He gives a sharp nod of his head. "As far as enemies go, that is indeed a concern. It's a concern for any of us with family. Her identity is not public and her personal residence is equipped with the highest of security systems, complete with a layer of Wayne Tech. If there is trouble, I will immediately know about it."

Superman has posed:
Superman listens carefully as Batman speaks of Barbara Gordon's candidacy.

Truth be told, he's only heard such praise from the Dark Knight on extremely few occasions, and on those occasions, he's been completely right. Batman is Superman's best friend, so the level of trust there is extreme to say the least. She's the daughter of a police commissioner? Nice. Allows them to get insight into the GCPDs movements, though he's certain Batman as nearly purged it of corruption. Never hurts though to befriend the police.

"Agreed. Besides, it's stress enough on you to do so much at one time." Superman says teasingly. "But, if she's able to even frustrate SHIELD, who have their own experts and talents, then I see no reason why she isn't worthy of our ranks. I have no argument against Batgirl's membership, and I'd love to see how she does with the team." He tells Batman with a nod of approval, looking to Diana as she also states her approval makes him smile.

Wonder Woman has posed:
There's a slight quirk of a brow when Batman mentions that the woman he's suggested to have join their ranks is aware of his identity, and she gives a small nod. Diana studies him for a long moment, and then she turns her gaze to the display in order to look over the information that's been brought up there. She doesn't seem to pay any particular section of the information more attention than any other, though once she's finished reading it through, she gives a samll nod as though to acknowledge it.

"Enemies are always a concern. Those that choose to come after one of us will have all of us to face, ultimately," Diana says softly, a thoughtful note to her voice. "You speak highly of her, and clearly she has impressed you with her level of skill, amongst other things. It is an impressive collection of skills that she has," she says, a smile tugging at the corners of his lips. There's a glance that becomes a longer look to Superman, and then her gaze turns back to Batman as she gives a nod. "I am curious to see what she might be able to do for and with us," she says.

Batman has posed:
"Thank you. I will bring her up here for a trial run. If she passes your expectations, which should be high, then we can speak with her about a full membership. She stated that she is interested but she wants to continue to work on her personal projects in Gotham. So I would like to utilize her in the field when it's absolultely necessary and the team has to be extracted." Batman says as he taps the table again to turn off the holovid.

"I do speak highly of her, but let's keep that to the three of us. I give her enough praise to keep her head level and grounded. I don't want them to get a thick head and lose focus."

As he makes his way towards one of the windows, he stares out into the expanse of space. "I have been having trouble back home in Gotham. Dealing with a ninja clan that calls themselves The Foot. I do not have much in the way of information on them yet, which is troubling. I can find anything." He says with that growl in his throat. "And yet, it seems that this Foot Clan barely exists anywhere in hisotrical records. They're using Gotham as a dumping ground for bodies and I will not let it stand. Not in my city."

Superman has posed:
Superman nods slightly to Batman. "I'll try not to tell her you gushed on the subject." Superman teases him ever so slightly, but otherwise seems mostly focused on this shocking new information that Batman offers. "The Foot?" He questions curiously. "I've certainly never heard of them, though I'm noticing a pattern in ninjas picking body parts to name their organizations out of." This is mostly a joke.

Superman knows very little about ninjas.

Irregtardless, he looks then to Diana with a soft smile. "Have you heard of them, Diana? Any information from the Amazons that could help?" The Amazons have been around for thousands of years. Maybe they have some dark legend about the Foot or some such?

Back to Batman. "Perhaps your protege could assist us in this endeavor, with our oversight?" he questions of Batman.

Wonder Woman has posed:
"Of course. Let me know when you wish to bring her, and I will put in an appearance, if I am available," Diana says, a smile tugging at the corners of her lips. "As far as I am concerned, I see no reason that she would have to leave her personal projects behind if she were to join. We all have things that we tend to and take care of besides being here," she comments, a thoughtful note to her voice. "I would not have praise to offer her until I have seen her at work," she adds, inclining her head towards him.

She falls quiet as she listens to him speak of the ninjas harassing Gotham, and one of her eyebrows quirks up. "Not everything leaves a paper trail behind. It sounds like they operate more truly in the shadows than others. Which would mean their method of recruiting would be more in person," Diana says, considering it for a lingering moment. "I have doubts that they would be new, but... I agree that it must not be let to stand," she adds.

Her blue gaze turns to Superman, and she gives a small shake of her head. "I have not heard of them. I will ask amongst my Sisters, but the name has no familiarity to me," she says, her brow furrowing slightly. If she'd ever been taught anything of them or heard anything of them, then she would remember.

Batman has posed:
"Yes, it seems that ninjas in general are not very original. The Hand. The Foot." Batman gives a shake of his head with clear annoyance in his body language. "I have Oracle and Red Robin currently monitoring several hot spots that we have uncovered in the city. They are professionally trained in an old Japanese fighting technique that is not taught currently today, at least not in the states. They have weapons consistent with the feudal error, as well as technology at their disposal. They are good. Real good."

After a few moments of staring out the window, he turns and makes his way back for the doors with a clear of his throat. "I should get back to work on it and check up on a few things before my night shift." In other words, punching people in the face with aggression.

"Thank you, Clark, Diana." He says, being a bit more formal with his best friends now that business is over. "I'll bring her soon to meet both of you. I'll contact ahead of time. Take care of yourselves."

With that, the Dark Knight heads out so that he can take their teleporter back down to Earth and once more stalk the shadows of Gotham City.
