Cast of Characters: Black Canary, Hulk

Black Canary has posed:
Things aren't going great for Dinah. Oh, they're going stunningly for Black Canary, the gang she'd been tracking was easy to find, and it turns out they're all lousy shots and most of them have glass jaws. So kicking in the door to their hideout and knocking some heads has been routine. She even snagged a USB drive of intel! It was the alarm system connected to the door that she didn't notice until after the kicks stopped flying that made it a bad day for Dinah. Someone must have tipped her off to it in real time... and she knows it's not calling out to a security company.

And so she pockets the drive and books it out the building, making a run for it, and as she reaches the street she's doing her best to calm down, move smooth and casual, and she's looking for cover. Less a hiding place, and more some friendly face she can cozy up to, and just become another eye-catching blonde in New York City.

Hulk has posed:
New York being New York, it's easy to blend in with crowds. Especially when you've been quiet enough about your fight that people outside haven't had cause to run in fear. A lot of the fights in the city are after all filled with guns.

It's around the time that Dinah is coming out of the building that a man wearing a coat, white shirt and jeans with a basecall cap turns the corner, hands in his coat pockets. Bruce has no idea of anything that has occured on this block, though he does shyly seem to appreciate Dinah's looks and charms for a moment before he goes on his way.

Black Canary has posed:
Dinah tosses a little sway into her hips, even as she slows her pace, going from trying to hide, to a more brazen, eye-catching rhythm to her step. It's something she's practiced, the more she stands out, the less people seem to think she's the blonde bombshell that just kicked a gang member down a flight of stairs.

She flashes a grin as she spots Bruce, eyebrows perking up a little... sure, no one's going to look twice at a couple! And so she angles her gait to close in on the becapped man, only to 'accidentally' bump against him, "Oh! Sorry about that! I swear, I don't know where my head is today."

Hulk has posed:
As he walks past.. and then Dinah bumps into him, there's no off balancing, but he does move a bit to the side from the small force applied. "Oh! Oh." He adjusts his coat, though it doesn't need any obvious adjustment as he continues walking. His hands are replaced back into that coat as she starts to walk alongside him. "It's fine. Lots of people walking, lots of activity. I get bumped a few times a day, at least." Bruce almost mumbles.

Like Dinah, he's trying not to attract attention. Unlike Dinah, he's trying very hard /not/ to stare at her swaying as she goes along.

It isn't every day a beautiful woman comes out of nowhere.

Black Canary has posed:
Dinah lets out a soft little purr of laughter, "Well, that makes sense from what I've heard about New York. I'm from Gotham, but I've been living up north in Canada for awhile." One eyebrow perks playfully as she stage whispers, "I mean, I half expected to find people wearing football pads to make their way down the street, or like, Mad Max style cars."

That sway works a little harder, and she leans in a little closer, voice dropping to a softer murmur as she picks up the sounds of footsteps coming down the cross street she just bolted down, "So! Any suggestions for what's pretty much a tourist who's got a day or two to spend? I saw that big Stark tower when we were landing, so it's not like I need to see that or anything. I'm really more about more unique experiences, y'know?"

Hulk has posed:
As they move along, Bruce is clearly torn. He didn't expect anyone to come up to him and start talking to him. At the same time, he's a loner by choice, not by nature... and what did a little conversation hurt anyone? "Honestly? I'm a bit of a tourist myself. I travel quite a bit for my work, and everytime I come back there's something new. The world trade center, maybe?" He shrugs a bit. "I haven't really had much time to think on it. I hear Central Park is getting unfrozen." He adds, uncertainly.

Dinah can pretty easily tell he's fishing from memory at random, with the way his right hand comes up and anxiously rubs the back of his head in thought.

Black Canary has posed:
Dinah nods and quirks an eyebrow, humming softly. "Well, that could be good, but I'm also starving." She almost pouts as she sighs out, "I don't suppose you've got a favorite breakfast spot? It'll be my treat even!" She glances back over her shoulder, not the most subtle move, but it does afford her a view of several typical street gang members spreading out along the opposite sidewalk, looking around.

And so she slinks a little more, lowers her shoulders, she can't really make herself less noticeable, but she looks far more like a tall glass of water than a walking ass-kicking machine, and that'll have to do. "Oh, I'm Dinah by the way. It's nice to meet you, even if it was because I'm clumsy."

Hulk has posed:
"I have a few spots." Bruce offers a bit reluctantly. "Bruce Kinsler." The lies about his name come easily these days. Most people tend to either be scared shitless of him, or adore him and want his autograph. Both reactions to his presence tend to just get him worked up... so he just tries to be as incognito as possible most of the time.

As Incognito as one of the most infamous raw nerves on the planet can be, anyway.

"Can you handle riding on the back of a motorcycle? I rented for a week, and wouldn't mind showing you around." Bruce offers, his hand in his head going back to his coat. A day showing a pretty girl around wouldn't hurt anyone.

Black Canary has posed:
Dinah laughs softly, eyes sparkling mirthfully as she nods her head and gives a little flick of that blonde mane, arms stretching above her head. She's genuinely enjoying herself, and if there's one thing that an undercover vigilante would be doing it's not that.

"Oh, well, I've been known to ride a time or two." She slips her hand into his and leans in a little closer, the very image of the happy couple as she murmurs dryly, "Not planning to take me anywhere too upscale, are you? I mean, I'm not exactly dressed for it. People might ask what an upstanding fellow's doing with someone dressed like me. Or not ask and just assume."

Hulk has posed:
There's a glance down to that hand just as he's about to put it into coat pockets, and Bruce almost stares. The other hand goes to his glasses, adjusts, and he looks back up to Dinah. "Oh, I don't do upscale that much. The food often isn't worth the prices, and I don't like dealing with the... expectations." He says, carefully.

Now that the initial shock has worn off, it seems Bruce is enjoying himself too. Maybe there's some genuine chemistry there? "Would it matter to you if they make assumptions? You don't strike me as the sort who plays into that too much." A genuine smile comes to his lips as he looks to her eyes. "I could be wrong, of course."

He squeezes that hand a bit more firmly as he continues walking. "I parked a block away. Lucky for you."

Black Canary has posed:
Dinah laughs softly, chiming out as she shakes her head, "Oh, I agree. Give me a diner or something similar and I'm a happy girl." She perks an eyebrow, hips going from swaying to cocking to the side in a little pose as she chirps out, "Well now! Sometimes it can be fun to play into assumptions. See where things go."

She snickers and murmurs out dryly, "Oh! Is it now? I mean, I guess a longer walk -would- get a little tiring. And I'm sure we don't want me exhausted right away, do we?"

Her eyes sparkle playfully as she slips back into that smooth gait, she really is enjoying herself as the gang behind them fades away.

Hulk has posed:
"The place I have in mind is across the city." Bruce replies, just as dryly. "Unless you like walking across the whole of Manhatten?" Bruce raises a brow to her, "It's less about exhaustion, and more time."

As they turn the corner, they, indeed, find a parking lot, and Bruce starts heading right for one of the motorcycles. "By the time we got there on foot, it would be closed."

Black Canary has posed:
Dinah follows along with a soft little laugh, "Oh! Well, yes, that is -far- too much walking. Motorcycle's surely the way to go. Lead on, cowboy."

She adds that swing back to her hips as she follows along to the motorcycle for the ride. This is going far better than running into guys on the streets of Gotham usually does. She might actually like New York.
