Zombie Meeting
Date of Scene: 04 July 2017
Location: Xavier's Mansion, Westchester, New York
Synopsis: Summary needed
Cast of Characters: Professor X, Juggernaut

Professor X has posed:
Traversing to Xavier's office is reasonably simple, to be truthful. Especially given that it needs handicap access! Not much has changed to the interior since Cain and Doug have last ventured here. There are likely more students buzzing about and a few more rooms filled, but that's it.
Wheeling himself through the front door of his office, the Professor comes to a stop behind his table. There he flips open his computer and begins to type a few things.
"Take a seat. Make yourselves as comfortable as you can. Could I interest anyone in tea?" He queries, glancing to the pair.
"How about we start from the beginning. Someone named the 'Reanimator'?"

Juggernaut has posed:
Cain listens as DOug speaks and then finally sighs and scratches his nose. He looks briefly akward and troubled and then regains some of his normal bravado although it is mildly subdued.

"Look..Charles..I just did my good deed quota for the month alright?"

He waits a beat an dten explains, trying to add clarity to Doug's ramblings, "I decided to pass through Salem Center and hit up a favorite bar and on the way there I saw the kid and then this guy in a dark cloak started talking to me about some Techno Virus and a drug that'll be able to bring back the dead."

Cain nods to Doug, "This kid was having the same kinda mental problems he's having now. This guy called himself Reanimator. Said I could pulp the kid if I wanted. I had the thought he -wanted- me to get rid of ..Doug..but he claimed Doug didn't mean anything and was worthless now. So I don't' know. "

Cain pauses and then rumbles, "I'm not exactly on the side of angels these days. SHIELD finds out I'm hanging around you all..could mean trouble. I just figured I'd..uh..drop the kid off."

Professor X has posed:
As he types up something on the computer, he then puts the machine on standby and wheels to the front of the desk. Simply eliminating any points of separation between the trio. As Cain further explains, Charles nods a bit. His fingers remain steepled.
"I understand your concern, Cain. And I won't hold you responsible for anything that has happened here. You're free to leave when you like. No questions asked. Again, thank-you for bringing him here." With a pause he takes a breath to orientate himself. "As I understand it, this 'Reanimator' person injected the corpse of Douglas with something that brought him back to life. But perhaps as a test more than anything else, which is why he suggested you kill him. Perhaps something went afoul in this test. A result happened to Douglas that he did not like." Looking to the ex-student then, his fingers steeple.
"Tell me what it's like in your head, Doug. I feel a second presence inside. Do you know who it is? What it is?"

Juggernaut has posed:
"Well if you don't -mind-.." adds Cain, "..I might cash in my 'good deed' chip and maybe hang around at least a -little- bit..but I'll keep a low profile and not track any trouble back to you.." Looks like nostalgia has set in.

"Don't ask any questions and you won't have to worry about not liking any answers you get about what I've been up to." Not like a news search won't turn up things now and again anyway.

As Doug thanks him, Cain just looks over his shoulder at him while turning to prepare to head out. He eyes him for a few seconds and then says, "Yeah..sure kid no problem.." And then starts to make for the door.

Professor X has posed:
"I'll speak to Hank immediately about this virus, Douglas. We can work on forcing it into a state of remission. In the meantime..." Charles narrows his eyes and lifts a hand just a bit. As he purses his lips, the feeling of an independent being inside of Douglas will wane and fade. "...I've put in some temporary blockers along your neural networks that will allow you to focus on your own state of being. This virus won't be able to communicate with you for that time. I suspect this will help you quite a lot. I will get a room for you made up. In the mean time I suggest you have a shower." He frowns. "You smell /quite/ bad." That's said as a bit of a joke, given the smile. But it's truthful. Douglas did just sorta climb out of a grave. "And get something to eat, should you feel the need. Come see me tonight, after dinner. After you've had some time to rest and recover some."
Wheeling to Cain, he raises a brow in curiosity. "I don't mind you staying Cain, but please remember that you are a guest in these halls. And that your ...presence... may raise the heckles of some of our more senior staff." A gruff nod is given to that, as he goes back behind his desk.
