Cast of Characters: Sunspot, Cannonball, Nightingale

Sunspot has posed:
Roberto Da Costa after a long day at the office Roberto has come to the club to relax by doing some more work. He has pulls the club's financial's out and is reviewing the last six months. He sits at the bar, calculator on one side and the books on the other poring over the ledgers as he chats amicably in Spanish with the bartender who is setting up for his shift tonight. He is still wearing his suit, this his tie is pulled off and folded neatly on the bar. He has tall glass of iced water and an order of the potato skins ole near at hand, extra spicy.

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie comes walking into the club, he had a few things he had to attend to. Sam is dressed nicely as he does for the club, black pants, purple dress shirt with the clubs logo on it. He scans the room as he steps in seeing if things are going as they should. Seeing Berto, he hmmms and starts to head over to him. "Think I been cooking the books?" He jokes

Nightingale has posed:
Over by the stage, there is some soft guitar music, and a lone, winged musician perched on a stool. Just her, the acoustic guitar in her hands, a mic, and nothing else. Shannon smiles a little bit as she thinks back on the past year and some odd months. Who would have thought she'd come this far in such a short time? By the way she curled and flexed the fingers of her left hand, though, it looks as if perhaps she might have been at it a little while, and opts to set her instrument aside to take a break. She's in a pair of straight-legged blue jeans, a long white t-shirt with 'Mutie Cutie' emblazoned on it in hot pink with gold and silver highlights, and a pair of well-loved, but well-worn white sneakers.

Ambling on over to the bar, she nods a greeting to both gentlemen, smiling. "Hey there, big bro... Mr. DaCosta. How's everything going?" She perches on a stool at the bar, ordering her usual root beer, and some of the potato skins ole.

Sunspot has posed:
Roberto Da Costa smiles and pulls out the seat next to him, "Not at all, if I thought that I wold have taken them back to my place." He flashes a winning smille and a wink, "You are actually doing a really good job, Sam. But it never hurts to have a second set of eyes. Looking for patterns and areas of opportunity." He shrugs, "I also like to feel connected to my investment. This helps me do that."

Roberto smiles and nods to Shannon, "Ola Menina, you have a lovely voice and I hear these were your idea as well?" He indicates the potato skins ole, "You are multi talented." He chuckles at her shirt as to how times have changed as he looks back to Sam.

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie offers a smile, and looks over to Shannon "Grab me a cheerwine please." He says of a drink. He looks back to Brto. "Well, when ah found this place out on a date, Ah liked it, and figured it could be a good thing for the community and even the school and such. Ah am glad, I was able to show ya it was worth investing in.

Nightingale has posed:
"One cheerwine, gotcha. I swear, that stuff's nearly as good as ambrosia." Did Shannon speak from knowledge or a mere comparison? One may never know! Chuckling, she ducks in back to get the cheerwine for Sam, not dallying about and returning with two of them. She grins a bit sheepishly at Sam and shrugs. "Changed my mind about the root beer. You got me hooked on this stuff." Holding out his drink to him she smiles at both gentlemen.

Sunspot has posed:
Roberto Da Costa puts the books aside and shakes his head, making a face, "That is an acquired taste, I have not yet acquired. Though we should get a few Jarrittos flavors in, maybe Pineapple and Cola?"

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie nods, and says "Will make sure we have some for you, I got hooked on Cheerwine back when I was young, and have it mainly here for me." He admits. He looks to Berto, and says "So anything interesting been going on with ya since ya got in?"

Sunspot has posed:
Roberto Da Costa shakes his head, considering, "Splitting my time between here and the company. Getting caught up across the board. Oh, they accepted my offer on the house, so that should be done in a few weeks. Have to do a bit of shopping for that, move a few things in from my Mom's place. Andrea helped me with the house hunting, oh, Megan from the school dropped by the club. She seemed nice... ", Roberto frowns considering, "Sam, what have you heard?"

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie looks at his friend, and says "I have heard, a bit. I admit was hoping to talk to you about it." He looks over towards Shannon unsure if he wants to talk about this in front of her. "Sounds like booze, and even a sprinkling of pixie dust do not mix so well."

Sunspot has posed:
Roberto Da Costa smiles politely at Sam, but it doesn't reach his eyes, "Samuel, I had a single mojito the entire night. It was mostly water and never finished, I let her have a sip, as a friend might." He nods, "Yes, her powers got the better of me, and I regret the kiss, as well as what I called Illyana, I never use that sort of language, especialliy not towards my friends. Of what am I being accused?"

Nightingale has posed:
Shannon coughed a little bit as she sipped her cheerwine, lofting her brows. "Gentlemen, should I skedaddle back to the stage at this point?" She looks between them, sensing one of 'those' talks coming, and looking perhaps a little bit uncertain of what to do. On one hand, this involved one of the few real friends she had at school. On the other, perhaps it was a private matter? She resolved to ask Megan about it another time, but for the moment, waited to see what either Sam or Mr. DaCosta would say.

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie looks to Berto, and says "Oh loosing control for a moment, but not to horrible. I just wanted to remind you we are the role models now, so we have to keep that in mind and try to watch even the smaller things." He puts his hand on Berto's shoulder, and says "I know you Berto, and know your a flirt, but would do nothing wrong, I would even trust you around my sisters.. mostly." The last added in as a joke to lighten the mood.

Sunspot has posed:
Roberto Da Costa looks at the the hand on his shoulder. He raises an eyebrow, with a smirk, "You only say that cause Paige is the only one of age and she is so smitten with Jono, that not even my charms can sway her." He chuckles and looks toward the stage his answer addressed to both of you, "I danced with a girl, Sam. Maybe the wrong girl, but I took responsibility for my actions and tried to make amends. I am not perfect, I've never made that claim. if Megan is hurt if there is something more I can do ease any suffering I have caused, please let me know."

Nightingale has posed:
Shannon's eyebrows somehow manage to loft even further as she listens, keeping her opinions to herself for the moment. Talk of charms and swaying a girl's affections just have her rolling her eyes, and she shakes her head, chuckling to herself. "Well, Mr. DaCosta, there's certainly nothing wrong with your confidence." Settling down on one of the barstools, she purses her lips, and takes a sip of the cheerwine. "I've been meaning to catch up with Megan anyways. If she mentions anything like that, I'll let one of you know."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie looks to Roberto, and says "I think she needs time, but after that, I think she will be ok. She was freaked out a bit by it. " He admits. "So, tell me a bit about the place you found." He tells Roberto to try to move the subject.

Sunspot has posed:
Roberto Da Costa :shrugs self-deprecatingly, "Obrigado, Shannon." Then he nods and smiles and pulls out his phone and shows Sam and Shannon some pictures of his place. "It's over on Park Avenue, upper east side. 8,000 square feet, 1100 feet in the sky, 360 degree views of the city. 5 bedrooms, 7 baths, media room, great kitchen, even has roof access but no outdoor space. Well, no private outdoor space. It does have public gym, pool, spa, restaurant, billiards, terrace and yoga. It's almost as nice as that place in Dubai. Andrea gave me some good advice so I got it at a really good price."

Nightingale has posed:
Shannon lets out a low whistle, shaking her head. "Holy shit. Nice little shack there." She laughs a bit to herself and takes a good slug of the cheerwine, nibbling on one of her potato skins when they finally arrive. "I somehow don't think I'll ever wind up with anything like that one day. Heck, even with the songs I'm doing, med school ought to just about be covered with a bit left over if I'm smart about it. A penthouse like that? Now that is pretty wild!"

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie looks over, and says "Oh trust me, Ah have seen plenty of things cause of Berto, I never would have. Heck this job, and all thats came from it would not have happened. I might still be delivering pizzas. " He whistles softly at the place, and says "So, where do I land when I do a flyby?" He asks him smiling.

Sunspot has posed:
Roberto Da Costa smiles, and shows Sam a picture of the roof access. It's just a stairwell and an emergency door. "I'm going to have card key access installed, I can make sure you get one." He makes an offhand remark, "Language Menina." Berto smiles at Sam's compliment, "If you graduate with honors from your medical school I will buy you one, or is that too much?"

Nightingale has posed:
"Language Menina, he says," mutters Shannon, although she can't help but smile somewhat. "If you think that was bad, Mr. DaCosta, you don't want to hear me when a sewing project goes wrong."

Glancing back over at Sam, she just chuckles, and nods. "I can imagine. It's like the things I've seen and done since coming to the school, and all the people I've met, I never would have otherwise. Wait, wha...? You were delivering pizza?" She grins at Sam and extends one wing to gently nudge him on the shoulder. "Does this mean when it comes time to have a pizza party at the school, I've got an insider track on the good stuff?" she jokes.

Looking back over at Mr. DaCosta, she tilts her head, considering. "That's at least a few good years down the road. Makes for a fun thought, though. Let me get through my EMT exam first, and see what's going on with my life from there." She smiles and takes a sip of the cheerwine. "My biggest concern will be investing what I'm making from music now wisely, so all that can even happen in the first place. I asked Mr. Worthington about that, but if either of you have ideas I'm open to those as well."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie looks to Berto, and says "You want to see what I bought with the money you have been paying me, well buying bank still owns most of it, but am paying it off, and no, don't want you to buy the bank." He teases his friend and pulls out his phone showing him a farm house looks newly built, and looks like is Sam's home neck of the woods.

Sunspot has posed:
Roberto Da Costa smiles sheepishly and nods, he takes the phone and admires the farmhouse, "It's very nice, rustic, what do you plan to grow? is It near Ma's?" He smiles remembering the pizza, "Good might be a stretch, plentiful. I'm sure Warren will take good care of your money. Though I will keep you in mind when I am courting investors."

Nightingale has posed:
"Well, none of you got to where you are now by being fools, Mr. DaCosta, so I'm sure it'll all work out." Shannon smiles, peering over at Sam's phone and whistling softly. "Wow. That's a real pretty spot. What's that going to wind up as?"

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie looks over, and says "It is a working farm, got some folks living in a smaller side house working it while I am up here. It is next to Ma's the old Cabbot place, after all the bad and grief they caused us over the years, talked to one of your lawyers and had them make it look like one of your smaller companies was looking into it, cause knew if they saw the name guthrie they would not sell it out of spite.

Sunspot has posed:
Roberto Da Costa collects the books, and polishes off the last of the potato skins. Luckily, Thursday are slow at the club... (?) "I do remember that memo, they were bemused, I thought it was a great idea. Very clever. I should pack these up, I can finish looking over them tomorrow."

Nightingale has posed:
"And I should probably get back to sound checks, though... well, it looks like they're pretty well set without me." Shannon cracks a small smile, and laughs. "I'm glad Sam's been letting me pop in here early sometimes. It's helped, a lot. Probably wouldn't have the shot at music that I do now if he hadn't. But will he -ever- accept thanks?" She grins at Sam, and shakes her head. "No he won't, the stubborn mule!"

And that, as they say, is that.
