Cast of Characters: Superwoman, Gravitas, Traci 13, Ravenna Levesque

Superwoman has posed:
Lafayette is not the sort of neighborhood that one expects to need, or even see, the likes of superheroines. However, today that is exactly the case. A young, rampaging mutant- full of vinegar and salt and anger at the situations he's found himself is causing trouble. A great deal of trouble.

The mutant lifts a car, a minivan and throws it into the air. Straight up into the air. He's strong, that much is obvious- standing at seven and a half feet tall, its tough not to think of him as some kind of powerhouse. "This is bullshit!" he shouts, "I can't believe this crap! The world is so screwed up!"

Far above the tumult, Faora- Superwoman- floats and watches the tantrum as it unfolds. "We will need to do something about this. He's taking care not to harm anyone, but, in his anger he will lose control." she states simply.

Gravitas has posed:
"I'm doing what I can now," Gravitas relies to Superwoman, squinting slightly as she surveys the carnage unfolding beneath them. The blonde-haired, petite young woman with the caramel skin is wearing a costume clearly designed to complement Faora's though it lacks the iconic sigil of House Hu'Ul that seems to dominate all of Superwoman's fan club material. She floas easily beside the Kryptonian.

"I've been nudging the cars and stuff so they land- like, in the stret and not in anapartment complex. He's going to screw up a throw one of these times and I mighht not catch it..." Victoria takes a deep breath and tenses slightly. For those sensitive to gravity the subtle shift in the local fields is obvious. When the van is thrown it lists slightly in the air. A minute discrepancy toward how it should fly, amost like it's... Heavier? Being pulled leftward? It doesn't drift away from the mutant as it should.

Straight up? The van comes almost straight back down. No one is stupid enough to stand close to him. Tori bobs in the air and takes a deep breath. "He's really strong." She almost says it like it's a joke.

Traci 13 has posed:
It's not that many teenage girls that walk around with an iguana on their head, and even less of those girls that might be walking around in something that could loosely be called goth clothing. Traci 13 is one of a kind. While other teenagers, elderly, and other pedestrians are trying to flee while a scattered few seem to lose their common sensabilities for the chance to get their video or pictures to go viral for the day Traci 13 is just standing there for a long moment. Watching. Assessing.
Under her breath she says, "Leroy. If we survive this, tell me how stupid I am afterwards, okay? Oh. And, let's not mention this -right away- to Paisley, yeah? She'd freak I was doing this without her. But. What else am I going to do?" Since she doesn't see Superwoman, or anyone else on scene.
Traci splays her hands out, and she taps into the decadent, slumbering magical power of the city of Metropolis. And, it answers.
A shimmering blue orb appears around her person, and then after another movement of hands, chains jut out from the orb like anchors to a ship and sink into the pavement.
Then, she sees what Gravitas is doing, and also sees Superwoman. "Good." She seems to breathe a sigh of relief.
Then, she shifts her position again, drawing power into herself and an energy beam blasts out of her hands and directly into the street just at the mutants feet, to get his attention. The concreate shatters, beautifully.
"Hey," Traci calls, fearlessly. "You're going to -hurt- someone. -Stop it-."

Ravenna Levesque has posed:
Ravenna occasionally has to travel to other cities to order wine and locate hard to find bottles for the patrons at Lux. Sadly she has to take the long way home and that is taking her right through Tantrum lane. This is usually why she sticks to her own cities, the angry teenage mutants rarely throw cars there. She watches as the other superheroes step in, or fly in. For now she stays back, knowing that using her magic here isn't going to help the situation.

She does go on the defensive at least, pulling the air around her to form a weak shield. It won't do much if a car comes her way, but it at least makes her feel better.

Superwoman has posed:
"Never underestimate your opponent. You don't know what he can do. On the surface, he seems like a hammer and anvil type." Superwoman states to Gravitas- both dressed in tones of black, silver, and white. Across Superwoman's chest is the Glyph of House Hu-Ul. The sign that she is not Superman- that she is a defender, but her own woman.

Superwoman looks down as Traci blasts the ground with energy. "You see how a chaotic element has been added to the mix?" she asks, then of Gravitas. "She's made an aggressive move in a situation that's already tense. It may pay off and get him to think twice, but its rarely the move to lead with. The battle you don't fight is the battle you've already won." Superwoman offers to what appears to be her partner or Sidekick.

The young mutant takes a step back as Traci throws energy into the ground, frowning as he tears a power-pole out of the ground and waves it threateningly at Traci. "Stay away from me!" he bellows, "This has nothing to do with you!" he calls out, "Life isn't fair! People shouldn't be treated like this!" he growls out. "You got lucky, you don't look like a freak!" the young man almost cries as he swings the power pole again towards Traci.

"We should step in. He is losing emotional stability." Superwoman says as she seems to go into free fall, rocketing towards the ground without a care- interjecting herself between Traci and the big mutant teenager.

Traci 13 has posed:
Maybe it's a good thing Traci doesn't have a Kryptonian's hearing? Or, maybe she'd agree with Faora. It was a risk. But, better than risking other people's lives, just the same. "No," Traci says, not taking any further offensive. She has his attention, and, worse comes to worse, she knows her shield could withstand at -least- one of those car throws. Probably even two. "Life isn't fair. But right now? It has -everything- to do with me. And everyone around you. Because you're scaring the holy hell out of them, and endangering their lives," she argues back, not yelling, but, she's not using her inside voice, either. "And no. I din't get lucky. My mother got murdered," she tells the mutant. "You're right. Life isn't fair. But just because you -have- the power, doesn't mean you should use it. -Look around you-. Look. They're terrified you're going to hurt them. Or kill them." Then, more calmly, but still within the safe walls of her forcefield, "Stop. Please."

Gravitas has posed:
"It's hard not to overestimate people when compared to you," Victoria admits somewhat soberly. She takes a deep breath and then slowly exhales, those blue eyes intense as they cast over the teenager in question, studying him form ehad to toe. The youngerwoman bobs a couple more times in the air, nodding.

"Right. The first thing to do is avoid conflict whenever possible. Like all those people who surrender when you first arrive on a crime scene," Victoria agrees. She frowns then, watching as the telephone pole is being torn up from the ground. "Whoa!"
The improvised weapon is swung at Traci and Gravitas goes into a dive, letting out a quiet cry of alarm and flying toward where the armed teenager is. She allows herself to have Faora between her and the young man ,but only just. It doesn't seem like Tori is too concerned in having the Kryptonian absorb blows for her. Perhaps she is in a hurry.
Regardless, Tori is going for the telephone pole. It's big... And long. And she's going to grab onto it. In that moment Victoria is not a human but a human shaped weight somewhere in the neighborhood of twenty thousand pounds. Not that easy to swing around, right? Or knock aside, for that matter. She lets Traci make the speech, however, words dying on her lips.

Ravenna Levesque has posed:
Well this is esclating quickly. Ravenna frowns as watches the teenager gets angrier and frowns. She remembers when her brother would get this upset, and lash out with his own magic. Still at telephone pole is nothing to mess with, and those downed wires are going to cause trouble if they're not contained. Still she looks down at her hands and frowns. There are far too many people around for her to really start flinging any magic, and in hightened situtations like this, it could go completely wrong. Still she gets a little closer, trying to stay out of harms way, but trying to get close enough that she'll be effective.

Superwoman has posed:
The young man is closer to throwing a tantrum- Traci's 'Shame the Angry emotionally unstable kid' tactic hasn't worked about as well as might be expected. He doesn't want to hear that other people had it harder than he has it- or that people disagree with how he's behaving. AT least, he doesn't right now. He's not in the right headspace for that argument to be truly effective. "SHUT UP!" he hollers as he begins to swing the huge wooden pole down towards Traci's head.

Luckily, Gravitas and Superwoman show up when they do- Superwoman hitting the ground with all the grace of a martial art's master- a single movement and the pole is deflected just as Tori meets the wood and brings it striking the ground with impressive force. The end splinters and the wood bows, with the sound of splintering wood echoing off the nearby buildings.

Superwoman quietly lifts a foot and puts it on the end of the splintering pole- and while the Mutant tries to heft it its clear that particular pole isn't going anywhere. Superwoman doesn't say anything as her cape billows behind her, pulled by a particularly lucky wind. Her arms fold across her chest and she simply *stares* at the young mutant who's suddenly feeling very much under the magnifying glass. He swallows, licks his lips, and takes a few deep breaths. Eyes flitting between Superwoman, Gravitas, and Traci 13.

While this is happening, Faora is watching- she turns back to look towards Traci to ensure she's alright. Her eyes find Ravenna- and then she looks back at the young man. Staring.

Traci 13 has posed:
Traci seems to watch the fight go out of the young mutant, and - likely one, or both, of Gravitas and Superwoman would clearly notice Traci didn't seem all that concerned with the pole being hefted her way. She knew her field would deflect it. Slowly, she lowers the chains, and they dissolve into the ether. As does her force field. "Come on, Leroy."
Slowly, she begins to approah the mutant to join Gravitas and Superwoman, unbuffeted by the fact the young man probably could break her in half. Maybe it's because Superwoman and Gravitas are there? Then again, maybe not.
That doesn't mean she's not grateful. "Thanks," she says, quietly, to Superwoman, and Gravitas both.
She, too, looks back to Ravenna, smiles at the other girl, then looks to the mutant, her features turning pensive as she watches him, silently. This is far more in Superwoman's arena, than hers. So, she seems to now be deffering to the more experienced.

Gravitas has posed:
Victoria blinks a few times as the telephone pole shatters. She takes a deep breath and slowly settles to the ground. Blue eyes study the flailing teenager with a quiet intensity and she swallows, hard. The young woman lets herself settle all the way to the ground with a rumbling thump that shouldn't be possible for someone her size. Traci and the others gathered get a brief nod from Tori before she takes her turn to speak.

Splinters from the telephone pole are orbiting Gravitas, outlining that personal gravitic bubble that follows her. It makes the girl a starker outline in her costume, almost making the diminutive superhero more real in a sense. "No one's gotten hurt. Stuff gets broken when you're superstrong. Maybe we can help..." A beat. "Maybe you have to help yourself. But this isn't doing any of that. There are los of people watching. You, um, should probably just go ahead and put the rest of the telephone pole down. Please?"
Victoria does something that is not generally advisable. She starts forward toward the teenager, within range of the telephone pole. "Someone's going to get hurt really bad if stuff keeps flying around. Like a kid or something. I know you don't want that. And, um. That's Superwoman there. You can't really fight your way out. But you can walk away! If you want to?"
Or smash Tori with half of a telephone pole. Definitely an option right now.

Ravenna Levesque has posed:
Ravenna nods her head to the others, and keeps her hands behind her back. Using just a little bit of energy, she arcs some eletrical energy between her fingers. It's a light charge, nothing stronger than a taser, but she doesn't want to add to the chaos since it is dying down. Still she's ready to knock the kid out if things get worse. "No one here wants to harm you." She has a French accent when she speaks, and her words are calm. She even puts a smile on her face, to show how not harmful she is.

Superwoman has posed:
Superwoman puts a hand out as Tori begins to approach- indicating for Gravitas to hold her ground. The young man swallows again, looking at the three women with quiet uncertainty. "I don't want to hurt anyone." he states in return now that there's been a moment to think. That something's kicked him out of his anger and made him think twice. Someone he knows is powerful.

"Good." Superwoman states after another long moment of silence. She doesn't seem to have more to say, just letting the young man feel her gaze- hear the accented word.

"How old are you?" Faora asks finally, to which the young mutant- who looks every bit the mini-Hulk- answers, "Almost thirteen..."

Faora nods quietly, "A young man." she states next- not a kid. Not a boy. "So, I expect you know that there will be questions. You have destroyed people's cars and caused damage to the city's infrastructure. You must learn how to use your gifts." she states in an almost flat tone. Another pause before she gives a command. "Sit down." Her tone isn't loud, but it is difficult to ignore. The young man sits almost immediately. "We will wait for the police together."

Traci 13 has posed:
"I'll wait with you, too," Traci offers, with that smile still on her features. "So will Leroy." The iguana simply remains on Traci's head, looking unbothered, and unworried. And, as the young man follows what Faora has instructed him to do, she moves to sit on one side, not too close to invade personal space, but still somewhat friend-close. "I heard there's a school, in New York, that you might be able to get into," she tells the boy, helpfully. "That will help you learn to control your powers. Maybe they can help you."
She looks to Ravenna, then to Gravitas and Superwoman, maybe hoping one of them can chime in with more knowledge. She's just a Sorceress. She's not too up on mutant rights, or schools.

Gravitas has posed:
"Awesome. Okay. We'll all stay here with you..." Tori nods once when Faora gestures for her to stop. She watches and listens as the young man is taking his seat. "What's your name?" The girl asks, tiltign her head slightly.
IT's only after this is done that the young woman turns around to slowly survey her usrroundings and ultimatley settle her gaze onto Ravenna. She's the only one standing so close and so she garners a wave from Tori and a nod of acknowledgment. Then, as promised, Gravitas sits down on the pavement, taking a deep breath as she drops.
"People usually call me T-... Gravitas."

Ravenna Levesque has posed:
Ravenna watches as the situation calms down, and she lets the magic that she summoned fizzles out behind her. Using it now would be unwise, and even she on occasion uses discression. "Is anyone hurt?" She says, bringing her hands in front of her, showing that she is not holding any weapons. "I do have some skill in healing." Though looking at how powerful these Superheroes are, they're likely fine.

Superwoman has posed:
Faora nods quietly, and lets the others do the talking. The police are quick to arrive in Metropolis- and with them is an appropriately sized van to pick up the young man. He will have to answer for what he's done here- there is a process. He swallows, clearly afraid, looking towards the four women who are close to him. Faora looks towards the young mutant and he surrenders without any kind of issue or further tantrum. "Be strong." Faora states simply as she looks over towards Gravitas- and then towards Traci and RAvenna. "I'm not hurt." she replies simply. "Stay safe. Be well." she says next to the others as she looks towards Gravitas. "We have more work to do."

With that, Superwoman is off- up, up, and away.

Traci 13 has posed:
Traci wiggles her fingers at Faora, and Gravitas, "See you. Thanks," sh tells them after seeing the young man off. She smiles at Ravenna, too, "World could use more healers," she offers by way of side conversation. She nods to the other girl then, "I'm off. See you around, maybe. C'mon, Leroy. Paisley will be wondering where we've gotten off to."
And, the young Metropolis Sorceress begins to head back towards the small, half-run down apartment flats she lives in.

Gravitas has posed:
Victoria gives Faora a firm nod when the woman speaks to her and takes a deep breath. She watches as the police haul the young man away and bites her bottom lip. "They won't charge him seriously," she murmurs, half to herself. The girl turns then, looking over toward Ravenna and smiling brightly.
"I'm okay this time! It was kind of close though. Thank you!" Waving broadly the girl then shoos up into the air after Superwoman. Up, up, and away indeed. Tori, however, kicks up a cloud of dust as she rockets away.
