Welcome to X-Corps Willow Rosenberg
Date of Scene: 26 April 2021
Location: X-Corporation Headquarters, Bushwick
Synopsis: A date is made
Cast of Characters: Sunspot, Willow Rosenberg

Sunspot has posed:
Roberto Da Costa stands in the Lobby of X-Corps, looking just a tad out of place, impeccable tailored 3 piece suit, perfectly coiffed hair and maincured nails surrounded by a sea of raw humanity. He doesn't seem quite lost but misplaced, fascinated by the raw chaos, watching his people deal with the press of mutant kind, the need is acute and here in mutant town it is acutely felt. Of course, he also stands out and more that one person approached him seeking answers identifying him as a person with resources or at least some of authority.

It's a warm spring day, light and airy and the windows of the building have left open to vent and allow in the cooling afternoon air. The day is light and sunny and that natural light fills this space, mixed with the faint rumble of humanity it makes a din of service that would seem to some musical and others just noise.

Willow Rosenberg has posed:
Willow was trying to get a job. A real job. Sure the cafe was delightful, and came with lots of perks, but Mr. Italo even said she was wasting herself on pouring coffee. Thus she was at her fifth job interview - her last job interview. As a matter of fact, she really didn't have this one, but at her last job interview the lady who had conducted the interview made a call. "We don't have anything to offer you, but try this. There will be someone to see if they could fit you in at the ground level. Good luck!"

So here she was. In the lobby of X-Corp. Too bad she did not get a name!

"Excuse me?" To Roberto. "I'm looking for someone to do a job interview, only I didn't catch the name. I think I might have missed the person?" Willow looked around, again. Nope. Nobody looked as though they were missing someone. Drats.

Sunspot has posed:
Roberto Da Costa is just finishing with a small family, the child is blue and covered in some sort of organic bioluminscent slime. The parents seem worried. He speaks to them and kneels beside the boy asking him about the characters on his T-shirt, he smiles and nods, listening and you can see that this is the first time this child has been something other than an oddity in anyone's eyes in a while by the way the boy lights up. Berto smiles up at the parents and nods, he calls someone in a form-fitting red and black jumpsuit over and steps aside to give them instructions, letting them lead the family off to where they can be helped by those of a more techno-scientific mindset.

One more fire out, Berto looks around and sees you approach, he listens and nods, "I see did you catch a name? Because we really are quite busy, and I don't know if I can find anyone... who did you say sent you?" He has a very good poker face with only the slightest hint of a smile. The head of HR, Darcy, is approaching from behind you looking a little perturbed as you talk to the CEO, "Do you have a resume?" While you look for one he waves he off with a subtle gesture, I mean if you can't have some fun as the CEO what's the point right?

Willow Rosenberg has posed:
"Miss Delaporte. She works at Fusion Dynamics." Did she give a name? But this gentleman asked Willow for a resume. "Perhaps you can give this to the correct department?"

She pulled a resume out.

Really, Willow had very lamentable jobs up to this point. Cafes and The Magic Box. Retail. And before that, babysitting. But her education was stupendous.

"I had to get an extra job this year. My marks aren't so good because of it." There isn't any recognizable difference to them. "But I thought I could drop most of them for this?"

Sunspot has posed:
Roberto Da Costa nods as he peruses the resume, "How is Delores?" Roberto motions for Willow to join him at a small cafe style seating area just off the hub-bub and general crazy of the reception area/lobby. He takes a seat, and regards you, "So, what did she tell you about us? Or more relevantly what do you know?" placing your resume on the table, in front of him.

Willow Rosenberg has posed:
Normally she would research before she came out for a job interview. Not so much today. She had been told to come right over.

"Well.." What could Willow glean? She looked around. "You're a company that not only has mutants, but takes pride in them. You, I mean the company, watch over your workers, to provide them with what they need for feeling like they are family. Not just workers. And you are publicly traded on the stock exchange, which means you don't care who knows, and you've made it work." As for what they made? No clue..

Willow realized she wasn't doing very well.

Sunspot has posed:
Roberto Da Costa nods and considers this, "All excellent points, our mission is the support of the mutant community and their integration into society at large. We do this in several ways, the diagnosis and integration of new mutations, training mutants to use their abilities in a way the is beneficial to society, and providing low interest loans for mutant lead business ventures. Have you had any interactions with mutants? Tell me more about your job history, what is this Magic Box?"

Willow Rosenberg has posed:
Where should she start?

"My friends are a little bit unusual." Well, they are! But not quite mutants. Though.. "My sorta boyfriend is a mutant. And I have worked with them." She wasn't quite certain if Austin still was her boyfriend. And between superheroes, mutants, and magic users she could say she was to work with them. "They're just people, like you and I are."

As for the Magic Box..

"Mostly it's a bookstore with added things to add to your list of pagan paraphernalia. Mostly we cater to the regular crowd." How could she tell him, 'Oh I do magic, and help those who do it too'? She can't. She could say she was a practicing pagan. A Wiccan. "A lot of people come because of me."

*Blinks*

"Did I get your name? I'm sorry. Willow, Willow Rosenberg." She extended her arm across the table.

Sunspot has posed:
Roberto Da Costa nods listening to you, he smiles, "You didn't no, I can see that as well." He remains quite for a moment regarding you, "Well, we do already have a sorceror on retainer but a witc- sorry, Wiccan might be useful. It's also rewarding know that you've integrated mutants into you personal life. He gives you a wry smile at that, and takes a breath, picking up your resume, "My name is Roberto Dacosta, the founder and CEO of X-Corporation, an, until this moment entriely mutants staffed concern. But that is a weakness, and the kind of human weakness that we cannot afford to let cloud our decisions. So, Ms. Rosenberg," Roberto offers his hand I'd like to offer you a position in our Integration and Acclimation, department. It seems you have an affinity for data and non-linear thought process to accomodate your magical skill set that cold be useful." Berto goes over the terms, of the position, pay, benefits holidays, all very generous, "How does that sound?"

Willow Rosenberg has posed:
Willow *blushed* terribly.

"Did I make it very clear? About the magic?" Here Willow wriggles her hand, like 'magic'. "Most people are quite happy to say wiccan equal witch.. which I am, but am also a magic user besides. I guess I could have told you. Magic users kinda are a type of mutant? Maybe?"

Then she listens to the job, and it's perqs. She is gobsmacked. "You have got to be kidding me?!"

Sunspot has posed:
Roberto Da Costa smiles and waggles his hand, "Homo Magi, are not mutants to speak of, though some mutant powers lend themselves to magical ends, Scarlet Witch for example. I am not entirely sure where the differentiations come from, I only know that the demon queen of Limbo is a close personal friend and has been for sometime." Berto smiles and there's a bit of a blush, we all have our weaknesses and apparently blonde Russian sorceror supremes are one of his.

Berto looks faintly perplexed at the outburst, "While I am quite a trickster it's rarely about business or money. Can I assume that means you accept, when can you start?"

Willow Rosenberg has posed:
"Well, I don't say what I am around my home. My mother tried to kill me once because I was a witch. We took her memory away.." *sigh* Willow still hurts about that one. As for the job.. "I can give my resignation today, and I'm all yours for the summer?"

Sunspot has posed:
Roberto Da Costa smiles sadly and nods, "Yes, with great power comes great responsibility but also it seems, tragedy and lose follow close in hand. "My first love was shot down protecting me from men who wished to kill me for what I am, she gave her life for mine, my Father's death made all this possible but he was by no means a good man... All my friends and acquaintances have stories equally if not more fraught with death and tragedy." Roberto takes a deep breath, "Excellent, your email is on the resume so we can send out some forms, references, background check, W-9, transcripts the usual. And we'll see you in two weeks?"

Willow Rosenberg has posed:
Willow could not imagine anything in her records that would be bad. Too bad she could not add her 'extra curricular' jobs.. But then again, maybe this job was a regular job. "Can I ask you.. just how often do you find your job trickles down into your home life?"

Sunspot has posed:
Roberto Da Costa picks up your resume and and folds it in half, slipping it into an inside pocket, he looks at you with a wistful smile, "What home life? Between a multi-million dollar charity, a multi-billion dollar business, running a club with my best friend from school and saving the world in m downtime, Home life isn't something I've inherited a lot of. If you have it, cherish it."

Willow Rosenberg has posed:
Willow tilts her heads sideways. "Well.. Not what I meant, but.. my homelife is non-existent. I kinda call my friends family. And on my days off.." Wait a minute. Back it up. "In your downtime you're saving the world?"

She giggles. "That's really what I meant. Just this is so big, and in your face, I wondered how often you were targeted." After all, lots of times Buffy seems to be like a magnet, and therefore her friend.

"I suppose I should be honest with you, I am in a couple of groups that take my extra time.." She bites down on her lower lips. "..to save the world." She mumbles what they are.

Sunspot has posed:
Roberto Da Costa blinks at you, tilting his head, "Slayer? like the band? Interesting I had heard the rumors about Kiss but never slayer. Interesting. Oh, the Justice League and Titans? Yes, one of ours joined them as well, Kitty Pryde, hunh, I think they must have a thing for brilliant, cute jewish girls." He laughs, "Those are excellent extra curriculars, I'm with the X-Men, doesn't leave much time for a love life does it?"

Willow Rosenberg has posed:
Willow shakes her head. "It's difficult when you have interesting powers. It's hard to find someone you can be yourself around, let alone understand when you have to deke out at the drop of a hat. And Slayer isn't a band. She's a girl. She kills demons and vampires, that sort of thing."

She blushes at the mention of cute Jewish girls.

Sunspot has posed:
Roberto Da Costa smiles and rests his face on his hand, watching, you watching the blush and hearing your words he nods and smiles, "You'll have to tell me more. Have you eaten? Cause I am famished and I hate to eat alone." He stands and offers you a hand, "Darcy, can you take care of Ms. Rosenberg's paperwork?"

Willow Rosenberg has posed:
How can she tell her no? Especially since she hasn't eaten herself. Besides, this was nice. "You know, you're the only job outside The Magic Box that knows my secret. And all of us work at the Magic Box, so I really don't count it."

Willow smiles, and places her hand on his arm. "We'll have to find a place that's not too expensive. Do you like vegetarian food? I don't eat meat, myself. That's not a problem I hope? Ohhh. We could eat pizza?"
