Cast of Characters: Hulk, Juggernaut

Hulk has posed:
Anyone who pays attention to the news and to the Avengers has known for a long time that Bruce Banner is the human side of the Hulk. The Hulk himself is what he transforms into a trigger... one that, if Juggernaut asked, will get an answer to.

Right now, he's in a self sustained log cabin in a remote forested area in the Midwest.

One of the most brilliant scientists in the world, with an alter ego that can equal the Juggernaut himself... is hiding out in the woods.

Juggernaut has posed:
When it comes to being a working professional, he tends to not ask to many questions when a job is sent his way. The needed requirements are necessary, of course, in order to do the job but the why usually isn't of much concern to him. Still - why would one of hte most powerful beings on Earth be hiding out when he's supposedly a 'hero'? Juggernaut well knows the need to duck and cover on occasion but he's also hardly a card carrying member of THe Avengers. -Is- the green goliath still an Avenger? The crimson behemoth doesn't know. He's been sucked into so many different dimensions on occasion he can hardly keep straight what year it is.

He supposes he doesn't care. When the offer to go 'catch the Hulk' came up..he simply smiled. This was going to be a big pay day. "My fee just doubled.." he had rumbled.

And they paid it. Okay then.

Heo now, what we have, is a massive missile mad of armor and muscle, currently hurtling through the air at breakneck speeds from where he launched himself out of the AIM transport that had tracked Bruce down to his hideout. He explodes through a mountain side en route, granting some advance warning to any in a multiple mile radius as the earth explodes and chasms and trees give way. He simply keeps on coming - slamming into the ground just a few hundred yards away from the cabin but continuing onward towards it. Plowing through the earth, rocks, trees and anything else and then into the building itself..

Hulk has posed:
Nothing happens so far. The Juggernaut has a free hand to bulldoze into the log cabin...

Juggernaut has posed:
And he does! Straight into it - through it - and out the other side - presuming nothing occurs to attempt to stop or slow him..which would be an failing effort unto itself.

When all is said and done - a blur of violent movement ends the path of The Juggernaut and he skids to a stop beyond the ruins he has just created and the crater that is forming in his wake. Debris rains upwards violently and then back down again as the giant turns, frowning deeply and looking back at his handiwork.

"Hn..that was to easy... But they want quick and brutal, they get quick and brutal.."

That being said, after a moment of pause, he turns and begins to step back towards the building, booted feet shaking the ground and crunching rubble underfoot. "..Banner!"

Hulk has posed:
The cabin... explodes. Chemistry sets of some kind get cooked off by sheer coincedence, and Juggernaut gets a live view of one Green uniformed Bruce Banner flying through the air in front of him, his bed in splinters around him, his body bent in impossibly bad angles here and there.

Did the Juggernaut just kill Bruce with that?

No... no. Juggernaut immediately starts to see the formerly /sleeping/ Bruce suddenly turn green and start to enlarge.

Well... that's probably a new experience for Bruce.

Juggernaut has posed:
"Aw, hell."

His first thought was, "Ooops. Did he overdo it? He was expecting Bruce to be awake, change, but still get taken out by the unexpected force. Enough and long enough for AIM to come in and cage the beast. Easy money.

The explosion...wasn't on the agenda. Juggernaut shields his eyes and then just gives a sour look. "Man..did I just...?"

And then no, no. He sees Bruce. He then begins to see green.

"Mmm...looks like we don't get to do this the easy way after all.."

He's perfectly nonchalant about it though and he begins to jog into the flaming ruins and through them, after the flight path of the hulking Bruce while yelling into his commlink, "Get yer cage ready cause this is gonna be quick!"

Hulk has posed:
The process only takes a few seconds... and it's easy to tell where he goes when he's literally mowing down trees as he lands. There's two fists slamming into the ground as the Juggernaut comes into view, and an enraged Hulk gives a feral roar at him, "Hulk will SMASH Big Head."

Juggernaut has posed:
The area shakes violently as Juggernaut slams his fists together, colliding knuckles against knuckles. He grins.

"I shoulda told them I'd do this for free.."

And with that..he's off!

The earth rips asunder and seismometers in other counties go haywire as Juggernaut begins pounding in on a full charge. His impact against the green goliath only adds to the mayhem as his massive shoulder lowers to come thundering into the massive chest of the beast and Juggernaut simply keeps going like the unstoppable force he is, lifting Hulk's feet up to carry him along for the ride as his fist readies to also come pounding in. The terrain is utterly devestated by the two titans as they come crashing through the wilderness.

Hulk has posed:
There's an audible cracking of bones under that green skin as the Hulk is immediately bulldozed down by the Juggernaut. Green blood leaks briefly, before his regeneration kicks in and he gives another feral roar, both his arms going around and starting to punch the back of the Juggernauts head... and the front as well. In fact, he's just randomly punching.

He also seems to have no problems with being along for the ride, with the way his legs move against his body and stabilize himself against the Juggernaut.

Juggernaut has posed:
The Hulk is stablized but that simply means he's no longer bowing or bending against the force being pressed against him and he does start to slow The Juggernaut down from a full tilt run. But he does not stop. There's a catch phrase that would be uttered here, normally, but Juggernaut is to busy gritting his teeth and weathering the pounding blows of the Jade Titan as it slams against his back and the domed helmet atop his immense body. He quakes but he does not stop. His body strains but he does not stop. Instead his fist comes in as well. Repeatedly slamming home as the two brutes exchange blows that are likely terrifying any campers within miles of the conflict from the roaring impacts.

He can't quite find purchase enough to unleash a full on Sunday Punch - but the two do end upcolliding into and plowing through the very same rocky outcroppings Juggernaut exploded through on his way in. This ends up revealing..air beneath them as when they emerge on the otherside it's above a giant ravine with a river flowing below.

"Oh heeellll--!" snorts Juggernaut as nothing under his feet stops this mayhem and he goes tumbling over the green goliath as they both begin plummeting down towards the river.

Hulk has posed:
There are few entities in the universe that can reliably go toe to toe with the Hulk and actually have a chance against him. The Juggernaut is one of those entities, mainly for his magical absolute that he will NEVER be able to be stopped, no matter how strong the Hulk gets... and it shows, here, as the Hulk grows another foot in front of the Juggernauts eyes as his green feet tear open the earth behind him. "Hulk is STRONGEST, and will SMASH YOU!"

One could almost say you sweet summer child you at this point... except it's the Hulk, who IS a child, for all intents and purposes. One of the strongest children on Earth. A child beating the ever loving snot out of the Juggernaut right up until he goes over the edge. With no ability to grab onto anything but the Jugggernaut himself, he simply... goes over, falling.

"Red Helmet is annoying Hulk!" Hulk yells as he drops towards the river, with a massive crash as he touchdowns inside of it.

Juggernaut has posed:
Never let 'em see you sweat, or so the saying goes. Anyone with any degree of danger sense and self preservation would be beyond pants wettingly terrified in this situation and seeing Hulk grow larger and feeling his strength surge beyond calculable limits in his own grasp should be enough to send the mightiest into a state of panic.

But Juggernaut..is The Juggernaut and though the blows that rain on him would shatter mountains per hit..he does not stop. It's impossible magic versus impossible science..but he still purses his lips in frustration and a be grudging bit of cautious appreciation for the monster in his grasp. He's The Juggernaut alright..but he's not that crazy or oblivious.

"Damn!" he rumbles, speaking both of Hulk's resistance -and- then fact that they're tumbling in a free fall. He loses his grip just before the touchdown and seperates from the jade giant. His momentum sending him forward and tumbling down towards a small distance away.

Juggernaut touches down like a small meteor, the near tonnage of his weight cratering the ground and sending a plume of water up that rushes down to quickly envelop him in the river depths. Did those punches from Hulk actually manage to stun him - or worse? He doesn't immediately emerge.

Hulk has posed:
The Hulk was immediately put into combat without a chance to get his bearings, gets the piss beaten out of him within moments, and drops down a massive incline into a smoothed rocky bed with no cushioning or warning.

The Hulk... lays there, stunned, distracted, and and almost subdued, even.

Except anyone who knows the Hulk will know... the Hulk is a rage monster. He will shake that off given time.

Of the Juggernaut wants a chance at keeping him down, time to follow through and hope it's enough to outpace his rage regeneration.

Juggernaut has posed:
Such is where the two differ. Where Hulk may be known for being the strongest there is - though Juggernaut would claim the verdict is still out on that contest - Juggernaut's own vaunted durability ,said to be virtually invulnerable, is well known. Where Hulk was stunned, surprise attack or no, Juggernaut was merely feigning being taken out of the fight and soon erupts out of the river bed just behind where Hulk lays., practically a hulking (pun intended) building in size. Hulk is not the only one whose size changes in according to the power being unleashed and Juggernaut's body is such that Thor would practically barely reach his waist.

A building support pillar of an arm raises and comes plunging down to try and seal the deal before Hulk recovers. A thunderous boom resounds as the two behemoths physically collide once again with Juggernaut's fist displacing the river waters once more and forming a widening crater around Hulk's body.

"If you want 'im, you better come and get 'im stat!" he orders into his sparking comm unit. Then as the river waters rush in he reaches a massive hand to grasp around Hulk's throat, likely one of the few hands in creation able to pull this stunt off.

Down, again, goes Hulk's body, this time his head being plunged under as the river waters come roaring in. He assumes Hulk needs to breath whereas he does not. So he hopes that this added trauma will do the trick as he squeezes the jade's giants throat to try and hold him under.

Hulk has posed:
The Hulk does need to breathe... initially. Forced into an unfamiliar surrounding though? The Hulk is one of the most adaptable creatures in the universe... and the Juggernaut can see gills grown in the Hulk's size, within moments allowing him to breathe despite remaining stunned.

Meanwhile, around Juggernaut, energy rifles start to fire as AIM enforcers fire down into the Hulk, stun beams trying to asist the Juggernaut in his quest to at least keep the Goliath suppressed.

This might take a while... but at least the Hulk is struggling to gain any footing.

Juggernaut has posed:
"What the hell.." grumbles Juggernaut as he sees the gills form. "..Now that's just weird.."

When AIM arrives and begins opening fire, the crimson giant just grimaces. This will help but it's not enough. The real task is his.

"You'll just tickle him. Let me handle this and you better have something to put 'im in and keep 'im down!"

More..there's always room for more. The more he destruction, the more rage, the more power Cyttorak pumps in. That's always been the mystery behind Juggernaut...that in fact..he's always holding back. Simply not completely understanding his capabilities and operating like a blue-collar thug instead of a student of abilities as The Exemplar of Physical Power has saved many heroes lives.

But now that frustration boils up and he's probably one of the only beings able to pull this stunt with Hulk in the vulnerable position he's in. He cocks an arm back, flexing it as it cranks like a trebuchet preparing to fire. His bicep bulges like a Buick is under his hairy flesh. The AIM soldiers seem to know what's coming and try and get out of dodge but not all are fast enough.

Juggernaut's fist comes plunging down for what most would consider a kill shot but which might -just- be enough to put Hulk out for the ten count. His patented Sunday Punch. The impact will have more in common with an asteroid coming in then not.
